Abstract

Background: Absence of effective and efficient screening tool for assessment of nutritional status have lead to high incidence of malnutrition among hospitalized patients.Objective: To develope practical screening tool for assessing nutritional status of hospitalized patients.Method: A simple method of nutritional assessment, called The Simple Nutritional Assessment, was compared to albumin serum as the gold standard. This study involved 50 nurses and 50 hospitalized patients in Dr. Moewardi General Hospital, Surakarta.Result: There was significant concordance of nutritional status assessed by the Simple Nutritional Assessment and the level of albumin serum (k=0,92). Sensitivity, specificity, and likelihood ratio of the Simple Nutritional Assessment compared to serum albumin were 92%, 67?75%, and 3.8, respectively. Internal consistence of the Simple Nutritional ssessment is high (Alpha=0.80). Average time required for doing the assessment was only 5 minutes.Conclusion: The Simple Nutritional Assessment can be used for quick screening of nutritional status of hospitalized patients with high sensitivity and reliability.

Abstract

ANALISIS DAN PENENTUAN DISTRIBUSI FLUKS NEUTRON SALURAN TEMBUS RADIAL UNTUK PENDAYAGUNAAN REAKTOR KARTINI. Telah dilakukan analisis dan penentuan distribusi fluks neutron pada saluran tembus radial reaktor Kartini dengan tujuan untuk melengkapi dokumen fasilitas eksperimen dan menjadi dasar pengembangan pendayagunaan dalam pemanfaatan reaktor Kartini. Analisis dan penentuan fluks neutron dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode aktivasi neutron terhadap detektor keping.emas (Au) yang dipasang di beberapa titik jari-jari tampang lintang (19 cm) serta sepanjang 310 cm arah radial saluran tembus. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan bahwa fluks termal berkisar antara (8,3 + 0,9).105 n cm-2s-1 sampai dengan (6,8 + 0,5).107 n cm-2s-1 sedangkan fluks neutron cepat berkisar antara (5,0 + 0,2).105 n cm-2s-1 sampai dengan (1,43 + 0,6).107 n cm-2s-1. Dengan metode analisis pencocokan kurva untuk menentukan distribusi fluks neutron dapat disimpulkan bahwa distribusi fluks neutron sepanjang saluran tembus radial berbentuk fungsi polinomial.

Abstract

Shield optimization and the calculation of neutron flux the coming out of the thermalizing column of the Kartini reactor have been conducted.The neutron flux will decrease exponentially as it passes the thermalizing column. The thermalizing column of Kartini reactor consists of many different kinds of shields, i.e, graphite, lead, paraffin and an empty chamber of air, therefore the neutron flux count that is coming out of the thermalizing column can be calculated and the shields within the column can be optimized to give smaller  neutron flux.Calculation result indicates that the neutron flux coming out of the thermalizing column is 2,681×10-11 cacah cm-2s-1. After optimization, the remaining flux coming out of the thermalizing column is 1,042×10-28cacah cm-2s-1. Key words: thermalizing column, Shield, neutron flux

Abstract

The general   purpose of this program is to produce Polishing Machines for silver  planning  and  refining  work  as  art  craftsmanship  commodities.  The  special purpose  of  the  program  are  (I)    to  increase the   producing  capacity  of  silver craftsmanship  workers   group;  and  (2)   to  improve  the  quality  and  quantity  of production to meet exporters demand and requirements.Methods constructed  to  accomplish  the  mentioned  above  purpose  are  (I) to  planPolishing  Machines  model,  (2)   to  design  working  drawing,  (3)   to  make working schedule, (4) to plan cost, (5) to implement modeling, (6) to test and verify the machines,  (7)  correcting  insufficiencies,  (8)  to conduct    training  for  industrial operators, (9) to prepare final report.The  output  of    Vucer    Program  is  a  Polishing  Machines  with  followingtechnical specifications: (1)  Machine dimension = L x W x H : 2200  x 800  x  1000!TIm; (2)  Chassis = Profile iron L 32  mrn; (3)  Generating power = Electric motor  1 phase, nov,  Y2   HP,  1400  rpm;  (4)  Transmission  system = Using  pulley  withoutcoupling; (5)  Polishing disk  revolution =800  rpm; (6)  Working  hour  per day = 6 hours; (7)  Production capacity per day = 88 pieces; and (8)  Empirical age prediction of  machine  :=    ± 8  years.  The  comparison  before  and  after  using  the  Polishing Machine: (1) Production capacity per day, post-vucer 50 pieces, post-vucer 88 pieces; (2) Grossprofit  per day, pre-vucer Rp 50,000,  Rp 88,000;  (3) Operating cost perday, pre-vucer  Rp  15,000,  post-vucer. Rp 21,000;   (4)  Net profit   per day,  pre-vucer  Rp35,000,  post-vucer Rp 67,000;  (5) Net profit per month, pre-vucer Rp 875,000,   post­vucer Rp r ,675,000;   (6) Profit difference per month = Rp 800,000;  (7) Machine price= Rp. 5,000,000;   and (8) BEP = 6,25 month. The conclusion of  Vucer Program is that: (1) The silver polishing machine is able to improve quality and quantity of product, (2) All machine components function as planned, and even allow for further development,  (3)  Machine. operation  is simple,  (4)  the  performance  is good  from technical point of view, (5)  from economic point of view, it is very feasible for the silver craftsmanship  workers. The vacuum cleaner  installation  is recommended  for optimal  use  of  this  machine.  It can  be  installed  by the  partner.  Furthermore,  the machine technology can be distributed to similar industries.Key words:   polishing machine, for silver,

Abstract

The goal of this activity is design and manufacturing Rotating Table Machine for Ceramics  Handy  Craft. The  construction  simple  relatively, portable,  simple  technology, and simple operation.The  Methodology  that   used  is  design  and  manufacturing   method  that  cover geometric  modeling,  analysis,  synthesis  and  evaluation,  working  drawing  and manufacturing continually.The result of this program is manufacturing Rotating Table Machine for Ceramics Handy Craft.  The specification of machine is 110 em length x 70 ern wide x 90 em high. The prime mover is electrical   DC motor 20 Volt,  10 Amphere. The working capacity of this machine is the work piece that 300 mm diameter and 550 rnm high. The functional test result that the machine element is good function and the service test result that the machine is easy service.  Profit  Different    no-vucer  and vucer  is significant  and base economics analysis the Break Even Point (BEP) of machine is 15 month.Key word:   rotating  table  machine,  and   ceramics.

Abstract

ABSTRACT---In this paper, we analyze and compute distribution of thermal neutron flux in core of Kartini’s Reactor using “Swadaya” detector, both for axial (function of z) and radial (function r) direction. First, “Swadaya” detector is calibrated by activation plate method, which the output from detector is current. The result of calibration is thermal neutron flux (ф) dependent on current (I) that can be written as ф = 4,57x1020I - 2,74x1011. Distribution for neutron thermal flux for axial direction and radial direction respectively Ф = 5,10 x 1012 + 5,99 x 1013 and ф = 1.08 x 1012 + 1,00 x 103 which in reactor core ф has largest value in center position for radial direction.   Keywords: flux neutron distribution, nucleus reactor, Swadaya detector

Abstract

The optimization of thermal column collimator has been studied which resulted epithermal neutron beam for in vivo and in vitro trials of Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) at Kartini Research Reactor of 100 kW by means of Monte Carlo N-Particle Extended (MCNP-X) codes. The design criteria were based on recommendation from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). MCNP-X calculations indicated by using 5 cm thickness of Ni as collimator wall, 30 cm thickness of Al as moderator, 20 cm thickness of 60Ni as filter, 2 cm thickness of Bi as γ-ray shielding, 3 cm thickness of 6Li2CO3-polyethylene as beam delimiter, and for in vivo in vitro trials purpose, aperture was designed 8 cm radius size, an epitermal neutron beam with an intensity 1.13E+09 n.cm-2.s-1, fast neutron and γ-doses per epithermal neutron of 1.76E-13 Gy.cm2.n-1 and 1.45E-13Gy.cm2.n-1,minimum thermal neutron per epithermal neutron ratio of 0.008,and maximum directionality of 0.73, respectively could be produced. The results have passed all the IAEA’s criteria.

Abstract

The quality manajement system program of in vitro / in vivo test facility of  Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) methode as quality assurance requirement for utilization of radial pearcing beamport of Kartini research have been done.  Identification and management of technical specification and parameters meassurement of to the radial piercing beamport have been determined for preparing in vitro / in vivo test facility. The parameters are epithermal neutron flux is  9,8243E+05  n cm-2 s-1and  thermal neutron flux is 3,0691E+06 n cm-2 s-1, radiation shielding of parafin,  dimension and size  of piercing radial and instrumentatin and control system for automatic transfer of in vitro / in vivo samplels have been documented. Management system of the documents for fullfil  basic guidance to perform working job of in vitro / in vivo at the piercing radial beamport of Kartini Research Reactor in order purpose utilization of the reactor  for safety worker of the radiation area, society  and invironment beeing safely

Abstract

A study of voxel mice model of MCNPX has been done for in vivo test Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). Mathematical and parameters were used to construct the stylized Mice model phantom. The geometry was modified into simulation software MCNPX (Monte Carlo N-Particle eXtended) simulation input. The result of mice stylized model phantom has been showed Figure 3.
