Abstract

Cultural objeds in Java besides owning high aesthetic value also have magical energy it is of course to which sure and trusting it. Arlistic to progressively  form of the objed, hence will be valuable progressively high art and have deeper magical meaning. Keris as oneoi the cultural objed in Java owning very unique desain. Existence of keris cannot be discharged from a smith. Of hands of they keris created. Greatness of keris do not famous only just Java land. But have become heritage grand culture of world. Keris is cultural masterwork of parallel proper Indonesia with other masterpieces of whole world. 

WAYANG BEBER PACITAN: FUNGSI, MAKNA, DAN USAHA REVITALISASI

Abstract

Wayang beber Pacitan is considered as one of the unique traditional heritage because it is not found in other places. The uniqueness of wayang beber Pacitan can be seen from its shape, function, and meaning. Wayang beber is considered sacred by its community, particularly the relatives of the dalang (puppeter) of wayang beber who lives in Dusun Karangtalun, Desa Gedompol, Donorojo. However, in its development the existence of the traditional arts is threathened because of the influence of modern cultural values. The efforts to revitalize wayang beber has been undertaken by the local government and other related stakeholders. However, the effort to revitalize wayang beber is not yet successful because there are still constraints, both internal and external. The former view of wayang beber as well as the pressure of modern culture has constrained the revitalization of wayang beber. Similarly, transforming wayang beber from community art to tourist art is another constraint. Key words: cultural identity, revitalization, tourism, wayang beber.Wayang beber Pacitan termasuk salah satu warisan seni tradisi yang langka dan unik karena tidak ditemukan di tempat lain. Kelangkaan dan keunikan wayang beber Pacitan dapat dilihat dari bentuk, fungsi, dan makna yang terkandung di dalamnya. Kesenian ini sangat disakralkan oleh pendukungnya khususnya keluarga dalang Wayang beber yang tinggal di Dusun Karangtalun, Desa Gedompol, Donorojo.  Namun kesenian tradisi ini terancam punah karena terdesak oleh nilai-nilai budaya modern. Usaha revitalisasi wayang beber telah dilakukan walaupun belum optimal karena beberapa hambatan. Pandangan lama atas wayang beber dan desakan budaya modern menghambat revitalisasi wayang beber. Demikian pula mentransformasikan Wayang beber dari seni sakral (community art) menjadi seni hiburan (tourist art) menjadi hambatan lain yang belum sepenuhnya teratasi. Oleh karena itu, revitalisasi wayang beber harus dimulai dengan kebijakan yang tepat, komitmen pemimpin daerah, dukungan masyarakat dan swasta, serta dilakukan secara sinergis antarpara pihak yang peduli terhadap wayang beber. Abstract

Kethek Ogleng is one of the folk performing arts that has flourished in rural Wonogiri. As the other folk performing arts anonymous in nature, it is difficult to know for certain the time when the performance actually emerged and by whom it was firstly created. Now, there are nine Kethek Ogleng groups in Wonogiri. In the midst of rapid social change, the Kethek Ogleng performing art facing big challenges to survive. The Kethek Ogleng set by the Wonogiri Government to become the cultural and tourist icon of the regency is increasingly losing its social base of support for various reasons.  The traditional agrarian society serving as its supporter is changing rapidly and is turning an eye from it. In this context, the efforts to revitalize the Kethek Ogleng performing art as cultural heritage have to be initiated. One of the viable strategies is by integrating conservation effort into a local culture-based tourism development. Keywords : Kethek Ogleng, revitalization, tourism, Wonogiri Regency. Kesenian Kethek Ogleng merupakan salah satu jenis kesenian rakyat yang berkembang di pedesaan Wonogiri. Seperti kesenian rakyat pada umumnya yang bersifat anonim, kesenian Kethek Ogleng juga tidak diketahui secara pasti kapan pertama kali muncul dan siapa penciptanya. Sekarang tercatat ada sembilan kelompok. Di tengah-tengah perubahan sosial yang cepat, kesenian Kethek Ogleng menghadapi tantangan berat untuk bertahan hidup. Kesenian Kethek Ogleng yang oleh Pemda Wonogiri ditetapkan menjadi ikon budaya dan pariwisata daerah semakin kehilangan basis sosial pendukungnya karena berbagai alasan. Masyarakat agraris tradisional yang menjadi pendukung utama kesenian itu mengalami perubahan cepat sehingga beberapa anasir budaya lama termasuk kesenian tradisional ditinggalkan. Dalam konteks seperti inilah, usaha merevitalisasi kesenian Kethek Ogleng sebagai warisan budaya perlu dilakukan. Salah satu caranya ialah dengan mengintegrasikan usaha pelestarian itu melalui pengembangan pariwisata yang bertumpu pada kekayaan budaya local. Kata-kata kunci: Kethek Ogleng, revitalisasi, pariwisata, Kabupaten Wonogiri.

The Social Banditry in the Rural Areas of Rembang by the End of the 19th Century and at the Beginning of the 20th Century

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The social banditry is the act of crime committed by the residents of a village or the people in the low economic and social stratum in order to fulfill their basic needs. Such an act is done due to the structural pressure which depresses the people in accessing the natural resources that support their lives. This structural pressure kept increasing in the rural areas of Rembang by the end of the 19th century, particularly after the issuance of the law on forestry in 1865 that enabled the forestry capitalism to be established. The limitation in the people’s access to the state forest as the manifestation of the domain concept and the exploitation of the teak forests done by the private businessmen became the trigger to the increasing acts of crime in the rural areas of Rembang. The scarcity of the local economic resources due to such natural factors as barren land and structural factors as the result of the penetration of the external power became the main trigger to the social banditry to take place in Rembang. Abstract

This paper reveals the development of gamelan in digital formwhich is done in many different forms, ranging from stand-alone e-gamelan,Internet-based e-gamelan, and e-gamelan in mobile devices. Gamelanmusical instruments has been a Javanese cultural identity since time immemorial.Gamelan Javanese cultural identity that has, in fact full of Islamicvalues. Therefore, with the digitization gamelan, this is tantamountto doing good and as a means to draw closer to Allah SWT.

Abstract

Teknologi telah merambah seluruh kehidupan masyarakat. Pondok pesantren yang menjadi salahs atu elemen masyarakat juga terimbas oleh perkembangan teknologi tersebut. Teknologi gadget kini bisa dimiliki oleh siapapun karena harganya yang semakin terjangkau. Termasuk para santri di pondok pesantren juga dapat memiliki perangkat gadget. Budaya teknologi a) budaya copy-paste, b) budaya like and share, c) budaya solidaritas maya, d) budaya selfie, saat ini populer di masyarakat juga merambah pondok pesantren. Dari beberapa budaya tersebut tentunya ada budaya yang positif dan budaya negative. Pondok pesantren yang menjadi tempat menuntut ilmu agama sudah seharusnya menerapkan berbagai ketentuan dan peraturan pemanfaatan gadget di lingkungan pondok pesantren. Hal tersebut dilakukan agar suasana menuntur ilmu di lingkungan pondok pesantren tidak dirusak oleh kehadiran teknologi gadget yang dibawa oleh para santri. Dari penelitian yang dilakukan di beberapa pondok pesantren mitra IAIN Purwokerto, mayoritas telah memiliki ketentuan dan aturan pemanfaatan gadget di lingkungan pondok pesantren. aturan tersebut juga dilengkapi dengan sanksi bagi para santri yang melanggar ketentuan dan aturan. Ketentuan yang dibuat oleh para pengasuh pondok pesantren adalah berkaitan dengan waktu kapan boleh menggunakan gadget dan kapan tidak boleh menggunakannya. Jika ada santri yang melanggar maka langsung diberikan sanksi sesuai ketentuan yang berlaku di setiap pondok pesantren. untuk menciptakan budaya teknologi di pondok pesantren yang beradab dan bermoral, para pengasuh dan pengurus beberapa pondok pesantren mengadakan razia atau inspeksi mendadak dengan mengumpulkan dan melihat konten gadget setiap santri. Budaya teknologi yang santun dan beradab dapat dibentuk dari pondok pesantren dengan berbagai aturan dan ketentuan. Budaya teknologi yang baik dapat dibentuk dari kebiasaan-kebiasaan yang dibungkus dengan aturan-aturan yang mengikat sehingga timbul keengganan dan kesadaran dari para santri untuk dapat memanfaatkan perangkat gadget dengan baik dan bertanggungjawab.

Abstract

This article aims to find out whether there is a relationship of academic procrastination with self-actualization of activist student of Faculty of Da’wah IAIN Purwokerto. The method in this research is quantitative method. This type of research belongs to field research which is correlation by using quantitative approach. Respondents in this study amounted to 28 students who became administrators of intra organizations such as Student Senate, Student Executive Board, Student Association Department and Student Association of Study Programs at Faculty of Da’wah. Sampling technique with random sampling technique. In collecting the data the researchers used questionnaires. While the data analysis method used consisted of data collection, validity and reliability test, item analysis, correlation test, hypothesis test and conclusion. Result of research from method which have been done obtained by coefficient coefficient equal to 0,176 which show very weak correlation. Then test the hypothesis with n = 28, 5% significance in obtaining r table of 0.374 and shows the value of r arithmetic <r table so that it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between academic procrastination and self-actualization student activist da’wah faculty.

Abstract

This Study discuss the impact  of co-modification of topeng hitam dance as cultural attraction in Ngrawan Village Semarang Regency The results show that co-modification has been taken place since 2012 which was done by the parties concerning with the development of topeng hitam dance which is potential to be a cultural tourism asset. Consequently, it will, economically, give benefits to the people of Semarang Regency; especially for people of Ngrawan Village where the dance originated from, and also, the local tourism agencies. However, despite the beneficial fact in the tourism sector, the co-modification process devastates the historical values and the value of identity of topeng hitam dance due to the commercialization.

Abstract

Media is a tool to construct meaning to its readers. News that is released to the public is always related to the ideology and interests of the media in responding a problem. This research intends to see a representation of Pesarean of Mount Kawi which is conducted by local, regional, and national mass media in Indonesia. This research is a qualitative research with content analysis method. This study is going to be focused on the value embedded in texts which contain news about pesarean of Mount Kawi. This approach is very useful to figure out meaning that lies behind the news texts of pesarean of Mount Kawi. The result of the research shows that mass media supports the commodification process of pesarean of Mount Kawi. Through the narration of origin, genealogy, and heroism which are based on Indonesias national historical event became one of the strategies that are used to demolish the representation of Mount Kawi as a haunted and taboo place to be visited by society. There is a similarity of vision in changing the representation of pesarean of Mount Kawi. Modernity and advancement of reasons have been the reasons for discarding cultural values and traditions that have developed within the culture of Javanese society for centuries by adapting them to the contexts of modern human life today.
