Abstract

The α-linolenic acid (9,12,15-octadecatrieonic acid) is omega-3 fatty acid that more active than other fatty acids to inhibit cell membrane damages, formation and growth of brain functions, antiinflamatory and prevent several cronic deseases like lung desease and arthrytis. Some research explain that geometri of omega-3 fatty acids had effect on its bioactivity. This research purpose was to isolate α-linolenic acid with geometry Z,Z,Z (9Z,12Z,15Z-oktadekatrienoat).O. basilicum seeds oil was isolated from O. basilicum seeds using Soxhlet extraction with n-hexane, then hidrolized by 12 % solution of KOH in aquadest. The α-linolenic acid was separated from other fatty acids by urea inclusion methods. The optimum condition of urea inclusion was determined in various temperature     (+ 5, + 3, + 1, + (-1), + (-3), + (-5))0C and ratio of fatty acid : urea 1:1; 1:1,5; 1:2; 1:2,5; 1:3; 1:3,5; 1:4.From this research, extraction of O. basilicum seeds oil with n-hexane as solvent resulted clear yellow-brown oil with refractive indeks 1,466 and density 0,855 g/mL. Gas Chromatography (GC) analysis of fatty acids hidrolyzed from   O. basilicum oil showed peak at tR= 19,949 minutes with relative percentage 70,72 %. Base on Mass Spectrum (MS), the fragmentation of this compound, with  tR= 19,949 minutes, was identic with 9Z,12Z,15Z-oktadecatrienoic acid.Isolation of α-linolenic acid from other fatty acids using urea inclusion at temperature 0-2 0C dan rasio fatty acid: urea 1:1,5 showed nonadduct fraction contains compound with tR= 19,980 minutes and relative percentage 88,51 %. Base on Mass Spectrum (MS), the fragmentation of this compound, with tR= 19,980 minutes, was identic with 9Z,12Z,15Z-oktadecatrienoic acid.

Abstract

The objectives of this research are: 1) to describe the reasons why social science learning based on the noble values of Ki Hajar Dewantaras teaching is effective to strengthen the students character; 2) to describe the effectiveness of social science learning based on the noble values of Ki Hajar Dewantaras teaching in to strengthen the students character; 3) to compare the effectiveness of the enhancement of the students character of social science learning through the noble values of Ki Hajar Dewantaras teaching and conventional social science learning. This research used the mixed methods. The population was the students in Grade VIII of State Junior Secondary Schools in Solo Raya and its vicinity which encompasses Surakarta City, Boyolali Regency, Sukoharjo, Karanganyar, Wonogiri, Sragen, and Klaten. The data were collected through (1) test, (2) questionnaire, (3) in-depth interview, (4) observation, and (5) documentation. The data were analyzed by using the difference test. The results of research are as follows: 1) the reasons why social science learning process based on the noble values of Ki Hajar Dewantaras teaching is effective to strengthen the students character 2) Social science learning based on the noble values of Ki Hajar Dewantaras teaching is more effective in strengthen the students understanding of character education, and it is more effective than the conventional learning as indicated by the results of the difference test.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Changes in Point of Zero Charge and Negative Charge of Coal Fly Ash due to Chicken Manures Addition Fly ash, coal combustion residue of thermal power plants, has been regarded as a problematic solid waste all over the world. Due to the environmental problems created by large-scale fly ash generation, efforts are being made to recycle these materials, such as to improve soil fertility as an ameliorant. In the present study, the possibility to improving the status of point of zero charge (PZC) and negative charge in fly ash (FA) and chicken manure (CM) mixtures was investigated. Fly ash was mixed with chicken manure composition of 0, 25, 75, and 100 % FA (w/w basis) and incubated for 15, 30, 45, and 60 days. Treatments arranged in factorial completely randomized design with 3 replicates. The results showed that the compositions of FA-CM and incubation period significantly affect the status of TMN, negative charge, P sorption and available-P. The mix of 50% FA with 45 days incubation tend to have a lower PZC and P sorption and higher negative charge and P-available. This composition could be use as an amelioran to improve the soils chemical properties in terms to decrease PZC and increase negatif charge, and it is necessary for further research.   Keywords: chicken manure, coal fly ash, point of zero charge, negative charge

Abstract

This study looks at the wastes derived from Indonesian fruit as prospect for biofuels. This report investigates the chemical composition of Srikaya (Annona squamosal sp.) seed, which is disposed as waste products from traditional markets. The seeds were extracted with various extraction methods and the oil obtained was analysed by means of gas chromatography (GC/FID), gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC/MS), infra-red spectrometry and ultra-violet-visible spectrometry. It was found 2 h extraction using soxhlet apparatus with diethyl ether as solvent gave the optimum time extraction. Moreover, five major components were isolated from i.e.: ethyl hexadecanoate, ethyl hexadec-9-enoate, ethyl octadecanoate, 2-hydroxy-1,3-propanediyl hexadecanoate, octadec-9-enaldehyde, and unknown compound, respectively.

Abstract

δ-guaien merupakan komponen utama kedua dari minyak nilam setelah patchouli alkohol yang dapat diderivatisasi menjadi senyawa eter dengan posisi pada karbon tersier. Senyawa eter pada posisi ini dapat digunakan sebagai zat campuran bahan bakar minyak untuk menaikkan angka oktan. Reaksi eterifikasi dapat dilakukan menggunakan berbagai macam reaksi dengan katalis logam. Penelitian ini fokus pada reaksi katalis logam untuk mensintesis senyawa eter dari δ-guaien sebagai bahan dasar. Reaksi dilakukan menggunakan katalis FeCl3/p-TsOH.H2O dan dianalisa menggunakan FTIR dan KG-SM. Hasil dari FTIR menunjukkan adanya puncak baru pada spectra IR pada 1076 cm-1 yang menunjukkan adanya ikatan C-O eter. Untuk hasil dengan KG-SM, diperoleh senyawa eter sebesar 1,25% dari kromatrogam KG-MS. Persen terbesar dari kromatrogam adalah senyawa alkohol sebesar 88,99%. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa logam efektif digunakan sebagai katalis, namun untuk reaksi eterifikasi katalis seharusnya bebas dari kandungan air untuk mencegah terjadinya produk alkohol.

Abstract

δ-Guaien adalah komponen utama kedua dari minyak nilam, yang struktur molekulnya mengandung ikatan ganda. Ikatan ganda ini dapat teroksidasi membentuk senyawa teroksidasi seperti δ-guaien epoksida. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan reaksi epoksidasi δ-guaien. Epoksidasi dilakukan dengan mereaksikan senyawa δ-guaien menggunakan katalis MnSO4.H2O dalam pelarut t-BuOH. Produk yang dihasilkan dikarakterisasi menggunakan Kromatografi Gas-Spektrofotometer Massa (KG-SM) dan FT-IR. Aroma dari δ-guaien epoksida dikarakterisasi dengan uji organoleptik yang didasarkan pada penilaian panelis. Hasil dari FT-IR menunjukkan adanya puncak pada 1256,57 cm-1 yang menunjukkan adanya ikatan C-O-C eter siklis. Hasil dengan KG-SM menunjukkan senyawa δ-guaien epoksida pada waktu retensi 23,553 menit dan mirip dengan isokariofilen oksida sebagai senyawa standart. Karakter organoleptik menunjukkan aroma hard woody (sineol) dengan konversi sebesar 15,45%.

Abstract

In implementation of Government in Indonesian, region given a chance and freedom for organize the extensive of region autonomy, which it is included in section 18 and verse 5 of UUD 1945. From awarding the authority, the low level of bureaucrat given a chance for take the initiative and explore them creativity. Therefore the main problem of realization autonomy region is upgrading the quality of human power and agency. We need human power which qualified and professional. Qualified and professional human power depends on process of recruitment bureaucracy elite. Therefore the formulation of problem in this research is “How is the process of recruitment bureaucracy elite in area of Central Java Provincial Secretariat and what is the factor affecting.”            The direction of this research is to detect how is process of recruitment bureaucracy elite in area of Central Java Pronvicial Secretariat and what is the factor affecting of process recruitment. The research method is descriptive qualitative. Primary source data retrieved from interview and secondary data from document, archieve, and the other source which it is still connect with research. Analysis technique using qualitative data with analyst in form essay, depiction, and drawing the conclusion of indication research.            From the result of research, showing that process of recruitment bureaucracy elite in area of Central Java Pronvicial Secretariat using auction of position system or open promotion system. It was first time perfomed in Central Java. The result of this system judged can fixing the situation of our bureaucracy because a few of good governance idea which it is include idea of transpiration, accountability, obey the law, and participation of the citizen. Besides the advantage of open promotion system is recruitment system that puts meritocracy people on front.            This recruitment system have to done truly and full of concistency, so that the result not useless. Also required commitment, courage, and provide a leadership in Indonesian, in particular the leadership of leaders such as, Governor, Regent, or Mayor in order to apply the punishment for all of the agency which make a mistake in the process recruitment.Keywords: recruitmen, Elite, Bureaucracy

Abstract

Kemampuan pengukuran debit aliran sangat diperlukan untuk mengetahui potensi sumberdaya air di suatu wilayah aliran sungai, mengevaluasi ketersediaan air, dan simulasi pada sistem peringatan dini banjir.  Perhitungan besarnya debit air yang mengalir pada saluran sistem open channel lebih komplek dibandingkan saluran tertutup (close channel). Hal ini disebabkan berbagai factor seperti bahan pembentuk saluran, derajat ketidakteraturan, variasi penampang, besarnya pengaruh penghambat, dan derajat kelokan yang harus diperhitungkan, dan disebut sebagai koefisien manning. Besarnya debit aliran pada sistem open channel akan berdampak langsung pada perubahan level permukaan aliran. Persamaan Chezy akan memudahkan untuk pengukuran debit aliran secara real time melalui pengukuran tinggi permukaan aliran. Pada penelitian ini telah dikembangkan alat yang mampu mengukur level muka aliran sekaligus besarnya debit aliran sungai menggunakan sinyal ultrasonik dengan memperhitungkankoefisien manning. Alat yang dibuat memiliki kesalahan pengukuran tinggi muka air sebesar 1,16 % dan kesalahan perhitungan debit sebesar 2,42%. Kata kunci : Open channel, keofisien manning, debit aliran

Abstract

Populasi manusia terus bertambah. Dalam menghadapi ini, sebagian orang bersifat pesimis, mereka menuntut pengendalian pertumbuhan populasi. Mereka mengikuti pendapat Thomas Robert Malthus yang berpendapat bahwa pertumbuhan jumlah manusia tidak seimbang dengan pertumbuhan bahan pangan, sehingga akan mengancam keamanan manusia. Kelompok ini mulai mencanangkan program pengendalian populasi pendduduk. Di Indonesia, pemerintah mulai mencanangkan program KB dengan slogan dua anak cukup. Sebagian sarjana muslim juga mencari legimitasi untuk membenarkan program nasional. Mereka mencoba merekuntruksi pemahaman hadist yang menyarankan umat Islam untuk memiliki keturunan yang banyak. Bagaimana konteks hadist terhadap fakta hari ini. Makalah ini mencoba mengurai permasalahan populasi dengan kegiatan ekonomi. Bagaimana jumlah populasi yang besar mempengaruhi ekonomi sebuah Negara. Beberapa ahli yang bersebrangan dengan Malthus berpendapat bahwa persoalan pangan bisa diatasi dengan ilmu teknologi dan pengetahuan. Selain itu, jumlah penduduk yang banyak akan merangsang orang untuk aktif dan kreatif supaya bisa survive. Orang yang bersemangat seperti ini akan menggerakkan ekonomi dan meningkatkan produksi. Jumlah penduduk yang banyak juga akan meningkatan kebutahan barang dan jasa, sehingga roda ekonomi dan berputar. Fakta yang terjadi bahwa Negara yang memiliki pertumbuhana ekonomi yang tinggi adalah Negara dengan populasi yang besar seperti Amerika, China dan India. Sementara Negara maju yang memiliki populasi yang kecil terancam ekonomi mereka, sehingga mereka merangsang warga Negara untuk menikah dan memiliki keturunan di atas tiga anak. Dari fakta ini, maka hadist tentang anjuran memiliki banyak anak tetap sesuai dengan zaman.

Abstract

A political party had main function to supply for political recruitment. The recruitment processes would determine the quality and modernity of the party as well as the process of democracy. Comparing of recruitment processes of Golkar party between the general election of 1999 and 2004 was significant to identify the future of Golkar big political party as well as the next Indonesian politics. There were a lots of benefits taken from learning the recruitment.
