Abstract

Es lilin merupakan minuman yang banyak diminati di kecamatan Ambulu. Oleh karena kelayakan edar Es lilin tersebut masih diragukan, maka penelitian ini dilakukan. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian kualitatif pewarna dengan metode Kromatografi Lapis Tipis (KLT), sampel berwarna merah mengandung Rhodamin-B dan zat warna yang belum diketahui. Sampel berwarna kuning mengandung Methanill Yellow dan Tartrazine. Sampel berwarna hijau mengandung Apple green. Berdasarkan analisa menggunakan metode Spektrofotometri, jumlah Apple green dalam sampel tidak melebihi persyaratan SNI 01-0222-1995. Sakarosa dianalisa dengan menggunakan metode Luff-Schoorl. Rentang kadar sakarosa dalam sampel berwarna merah, kuning dan hijau adalah 0,07- 0,08%, 0,07-0,09% dan 0,07-0,11%. Uji Kualitatif pemanis sintetik menunjukkan adanya kandungan Na-siklamat dalam sampel. Rentang kadar Asam siklamat dalam sampel berwarna merah, kuning, dan hijau yang diperoleh dari analisa dengan metode Kromatografi Cair Kinerja Tinggi (KCKT) adalah 3,25-3,33 g/kg, 3,20-3,29 g/kg, dan 3,25-3,33 g/kg. Batas penggunaan maksimum asam siklamat dalam es lilin adalah 3,0 g/kg. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, es lilin yang diproduksi Industri Rumah Tangga “X” tidak layak edar.

Abstract

The scale of forest degradation and deforestation in Indonesia has inspired the use of lesser-known wood species, which are potentially abundant and so far has not much been utilized. Utilization of these woods should be imposed not only of the stem wood but also of the branch-wood portions. Schizolobiumamazonicum Ducke treeis one of those lesser-known species, and growing fast with an MAIof3.68 cm/year.In Indonesia this species is only found in the Purwodadi Botanical Garden. A research was conducted to study the basic characteristics (anatomical aspects and chemical properties) of the branch-wood portion of this species. The branch-wood materials were obtained from the Purwodadi Botanical Garden situated in Pasuruan (East Java). The specimens used were the first branch of the trunk (stem) of nine-year old S. amazonicum tree (= 29.46 cm). The branch-wood samples were then examined for the anatomical aspects (macroscopic and microscopic characteristics) and chemical properties (chemical composition). Results revealed that the anatomical properties of S.amazonicum branch-wood exhibited close similarities to those of sengon wood; it was light in appearance and white in color. Its fiber averaged about 1500 μm, and based on the fiber dimensions derived values the branch- wood fiber of this species was categorized into first-class quality for pulp and paper manufacture. Further, the chemical composition of this branch-wood compared favorably with that of sengon and mangium wood. The composition of extractive content thatsoluble in alcohol-benzene; lignin; holocellulose; and α-cellulose of this branch-wood were 2.46; 28.71; 80.64; and 50.47%, respectively. The overall assessment implied that the branch-wood portion of S.amazonicum tree affords favorable potential to be developed as raw material for pulp and paper manufacture. Also, considering that both sengon and mangium woods were already used in the pulp and paper industries as well as the trees are used for the establishment of industrial plantation forests (HTI), therefore S.amazonicum trees, as fast- growing species,are also promising for the establishment of pulp/paper-HTI for their branch-wood.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh tingkat pencapaian hasil belajar siswa dankemampuan literasi matematis siswa masih rendah dibawah nilai yang diharapkan. Halini didukung dengan hasil belajar siswa pada ulangan akhir semester yang lalu, pelajaranmatematika mendapatkan rata-rata nilai murni sebesar 50,43 masih dibawah nilai KKMyaitu sebesar 72. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan populasiseluruh siswa kelas IX SMPN 1 Tengah Tani, sampelnya dipilih secara purposive sampling.Kelas yang dipilih untuk menjadi sampel, yaitu kelas IX G sebagai kelas eksperimen dankelas IX F sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes uraian untukmengukur kemampuan literasi matematis siswa, lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa,RPP, LKS, dan angket respons. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, penelitian pada kelaseksperimen menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan dari aktivitas siswayang ditumbuhkan dengan pendekatan Metaphorical Thinking sebesar 88,0% terhadapkemampuan literasi matematis siswa. Terdapat perbedaan kemampuan literasi matematissiswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pendekatan Metaphorical Thinking daripadasiswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Dari hasilangket diketahui respons siswa setelah mengikuti pembelajaran dengan menggunakanpendekatan Metaphorical Thinking pada materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Lengkung (BRSL)menunjukkan adanya tanggapan baik.Kata Kunci: Pendekatan Metaphorical Thinking, Kemampuan Literasi Matematis

Abstract

The research aims to observed the provision of red fruit in placenta pregnat mice before exposed by lead. The observed case are expression of caspase-8 and number of hofbauer cells. Red fruit was expected to decrease expression of caspase-8 and number of hofbauer cells. The study design used was complete randomized design. Each treatment utilized four pregnant mice as negative control group (K-), for this group given distilled water orally during gestation 6th-15th. Positive control group (K+) given lead (0.011mg/20 g BW in 1 mL distilled water) orally during gestation 6th-15th. The treatment group namely P1, P2, and P3 treated by red fruit with different doses i.e., 8.29 mg/20 g BW, 23.98 mg/20 g BW, and 25.68 mg/20 g BW, respectively, during gestation 6th-15th, then one hour later exposed with lead. The obtained data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis and Mann Whitney test for calculate caspase-8 expression, ANOVA and Duncan for calculate the number of hofbauer cells. The result indicated that treatment groups which provided by red fruit of 0.8 mL/20 g BW and 0.9 mL/20 g BW showed decline expression of caspase-8 and number of hofbauer cells compare control group without admission of red fruit antioxidant and P1. Inconclusion red fruit can decrease expression of caspase-8 and number of hofbauer cell that means decrease apoptosis. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian buah merah pada plasenta mencit bunting sebelum dipapar timah hitam. Variabel yang diamati adalah ekspresi caspase-8 dan jumlah sel hofbauer. Buah merah dapat menurunkan ekspresi caspase-8 dan jumlah sel hofbauer. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Setiap kelompok perlakuan menggunakan empat mencit bunting sebagai kelompok kontrol negatif (K-), untuk kelompok ini diberi aquades pada kebuntingan hari ke-6 sampai 15. Kelompok kontrol positif (K+) diberi timah hitam dosis 0,011 mg/20 g BB dalam 1 mL aquades selama kebuntingan hari ke-6 sampai 15. Kelompok perlakuan (P1, P2, dan P3) diberi minyak buah merah dengan dosis yang berbeda yaitu 8,29 mg/20 g BB, 23,98 mg/20 g BB, dan 25,68 mg/20 g BB. Data dianalisis dengan Kruskall-Wallis dan Mann Whitney untuk menghitung ekspresi caspase-8, sidik ragam dan uji Duncan digunakan untuk menghitung jumlah sel hofbauer. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kelompok perlakuan yang diberi buah merah 23,98 mg/20 g BB dan 25,68 mg/20 g BB dapat menurunkan ekspresi caspase-8 dan jumlah sel hofbauer dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol positif dan P1. Simpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa minyak buah merah dapat menurunkan ekspresi caspase-8 dan jumlah sel hofbauer yang berarti menekan terjadinya apoptosis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektifitas instrument PCK yang digunakan untuk menganalisis kemampuan PCK calon guru matematika dan mengetahui perbedaan kemampuan PCK sebelum mengikuti program pengalaman lapangan dengan yang telah mengikuti program pengalaman lapangan.  Penelitian ini menggunakan metodedeskriprif kualitatif, dimana mahasiswa tingkat 3G sebagai subjek penelitian.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan (1) kemampuan PCK calon guru matematika kelompok tinggi sudah baik sedangkan kelompok sedang dan rendah termasuk kategori cukup (2) Terdapat peerbedaan kemampuan PCK calon mahsiswa sebelum mengikuti program pengalaman lapangan dan yang telah mengikuti program pengalaman lapangan. Temuan tersebut dapat dijadikan dasar untuk melakukan penelitian mengenai strategi untuk mengembangkan kemampuan PCK calon guru matematika.Kata kunci: kemampuan akademik, Pedagogic Content Knowledge (PCK).

Abstract

Abstrak. Kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis sangat diperlukan mahasiswa dalam menempuh mata kuliah analisis kompleks. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk menganalisis kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis mencapai ketuntasan klasikal dan individual, menganalisis ketercapaian setiap indikator pemahaman dan penalaran matematis, dan menganalisis kesalahan-kesalahan mahasiswa dalam mengerjakan soal kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis pada materi sistem bilangan kompleks. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa tingkat IVC-D Prodi Pendidikan Matematika Unswagati sebanyak 44 mahasiswa. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi tes kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa mahasiswa belum mencapai ketuntasan secara klasikal. Ketercapaian setiap indikator kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis, rata-rata mencapai 40 %. Kesalahan mahasiswa dalam menyelesaikan mengerjakan soal-soal kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis pada materi sistem bilangan kompleks adalah kurang teliti dalam pengoperasian bentuk aljabar, tidak memahami konsep dalam sifat-sifat aljabar bilangan kompleks, sifat eksponen bilangan kompleks, fungsi kompleks dan transformasi fungsi kompleks, menggambarkan fungsi kompleks/peta transformasi fungsi kompleks pada bidang kompleks, dan lupa atau salah konsep. Dalam upaya mengoptimalkan kemampuan pemahaman dan penalaran matematis mahasiswa dalam perkuliahan dosen dapat mengembangkan suatu bahan ajar untuk mengatasi kekeliruan-kekeliruan yang dialami mahasiswa dengan harapan mahasiswa dapat tuntas baik secara individual ataupun klasikal. Kata Kunci. Pemahaman Matematis, Penalaran Matematis, Analisis Kompleks Abstract. The ability of understanding and mathematical reasoning is needed by students in taking subjects of complex analysis. The purpose of this research is to analyze the ability of comprehension and mathematical reasoning to achieve classical and individual completeness, analyzing the achievement of each indicator of understanding and mathematical reasoning, and analyzing students errors in working on the problem of comprehension and mathematical reasoning on complex number system material. The research was conducted using a qualitative method with the subject of research is the fourth level student of C-D of Unswagati Mathematics Education Program as many as 44 students. Data collection techniques include comprehension and mathematical reasoning tests. Based on the results of the research, it is found that the students have not reached the completeness in class. The achievement of each indicator of understanding ability and mathematical reasoning, on average reaches 40%. The students mistake in completing the problem of mathematical comprehension and reasoning on the complex number system material is less precise in the operation of algebraic forms, not understanding the concepts in algebraic nature of complex numbers, the nature of exponential, complex numbers, complex functions and the transformation of complex functions, Complex functions / maps of transformation of complex functions on the complex plane, and forgot or false concepts. In an effort to optimize the ability of understanding and mathematical reasoning of students in lecturer’s lectures can develop a teaching material to overcome the mistakes experienced by students in the hope that students can complete both individually or classically. Keywords: Mathematical Understanding, Mathematical Reasoning and Complex Analysis

Abstract

Fast growing wood species could be promising to fulfill the gap between wood demand and supply. Due to their low quality, the utilization of fast growing wood species has been limited to pulp and paper. Our previous study on the fiber characteristic and density of the 30 unutilized fast growing wood species from PT Sari Bumi Kusuma, Central Kalimantan, showed that there were five species which could be promising as pulp and paper material. These wood species have fiber lengths of more than 2200 µm. This research was conducted to get information another property of the five woods to more discover their potential utilization, especially for pulp and paper material. The wood species investigated were Endospermum diadenum, Dillenia sp., Adinandra dumosa, Adinandra sp., and Nauclea junghuhnii. The results showed that these five species have a long of fiber length, which are classified in Class I, low to medium density, fiber derived value which the total score felt in the class I. The chemical compositions showed that extractive, holocelullose, α-cellulose, and lignin contents were 1.74-4.12%, 62.73-73.83%, 37.24-46.97%, 29.68-38.92%, respectively. Based on fiber characteristic, density, and chemical properties, these five species could be used as an alternative raw material for pulp and paper industries.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas tentang analisis sifat-sifat kekonvergenan pada barisan fungsi real. Adapun tujuan dari artikel ini yaitu mengidentifikasi sifat-sifat kekonvergenan pada barisan fungsi real. Kemudian menganalisis sifat-sifat dari barisan fungsi real yang konvergen. Pada artikel ini, ada dua jenis kekonvergenan pada barisan fungsi real yaitu konvergen titik demi titik (pointwise) dan konvergen seragam. Terkait dengan jenis kekonvergenan dapat diturunkan beberapa sifat mengenai kekontinuan, integral, dan turunan. Sifatnya ialah: (1) limit dari barisan fungsi kontinu yang kontinu seragam merupakan fungsi kontinu, (2) limit dari barisan integral fungsi yang konvergen seragam pada interval tertutup memiliki nilai yang sama dengan integral dari limit barisan fungsi real, dan (3) misalkan ada suatu barisan fungsi real yang konvergen ke  sedangkan barisan dan turunannya merupakan barisan fungsi kontinu dan konvergen seragam ke , maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa  merupakan fungsi kontinu dan turunan  ternyata sama dengan  itu sendiri.

Abstract

Recent studies of  fast growing species grown in PT. Sari Bumi Kusuma, Central Kalimantan, show that based on their fiber dimensions there are five species, namely Endospermum diadenum, Dillenia spp., Adinandra dumosa, Adiandra sp., and Nauclea junghuhnii with good potential for pulp and paper production.  The fiber length of  those five wood species are was more than 2,200 µm on average. This paper studies the physical properties, fiber dimensions and their chemical contents to predict the paper and pulp quality. The result shows that all of  the species were classified in the medium to high density category. All species were classified into the first class quality for pulp and paper. Based on chemical contents, Dillenia sp. is the most suitable species due to its high value of  holocellulose and a-cellulose, low lignin content, and its fiber length is about 3,119 µm on average. A. dumosa also has good opportunities because it had the longest  fiber lengths (3,137 µm on average) and high value of  holocellulose, even though it has the highest lignin content. While Nuclea junghuhnii is  less suitable due to low values of  holocellulose and a-cellulose.
