Abstract

Every work has the potential on giving risk to health; one of them is caused by unnatural workingposition. As an example, for work that require their worker to do the work in sitting position potentiallygive a health risk such as complaint on musculoskeletal. Sitting work position that being done by theherbal medicine packager at PT.X Semarang for 8 working hours allows the occurrence of the unnaturalgesture. From short interview to 6 workers, there were 5 of them that complaint about the feeling of lesscomfortable/stiff on area around back and neck after work. Some studies said that by giving stretchingmovement can reduce this muscular complaint. Stretching Mc.Kenzie Extension is one of stretchingmethod that intended to strengthen the back. Back fitness value will show how well the back of a workerto work on a sitting position is. The goal of this study is to know the difference between back fitness valuebefore and after treatment of Stretching Mc.Kenzie Extension to PT.X Semarang herbal medicinepackager workwoman.This research is Quasi Experiment using One Group Time Series Design with amount of sample is 10peoples. The result tested with statistical paired T-test (α = 0,05) preceded with data normality test usingSaphiro Wilk test.The result showed tahat there was a difference between back fitness value before and after treatment ofStretching Mc.Kenzie Extension. Therefore, it is advised for the company to give knowledge to workerabout sitting position that meet ergonomic norm. Abstract

Risk Assessment is an activity that analyze a risk by determining the likelihood/ probability and severity ofconsequence / Consequences of a risk. This study is aimed to describe and assess the risk level in terms ofworker characteristics, equipment, materials, work processes and working environment of stone breakersworkers and making recommendations on hazard control efforts of workers.This was a descriptive qualitative research by conducting interviews on the workers and make observations onthe environment and work processes, and measuring the work environment. The study population was allworkers in the village of stone breaker Rowosari, Tembalang, Semarang with a sample of 41 people taken bysimple random sampling. Qualitative data analysis with content analysis using the form Hazard Identificationand Risk Assessment (HIRA).Results from this study is the level of risk of accidents at stone-breaking workers of each variable: thecharacteristics of workers with medium category, such as basket work tools, hammers, ganco and chairs with themedium category, with categories of stone material from the medium, such as the work process collecting,splitting, collecting and collating the stone with the medium category, and work environment with the mediumcategory. Workers are expected to wear the working tools such as carts and wearing personal protectiveequipment such as masks and gloves in order to reduce the risk of hazards during work.Keywords: risk assessment , stone breaking employees. Abstract

Background: Work place wich use electrical energy causes electromagnetic radiation. Subjective complaint caused by electromagnetic wave radiation and the other factors like work climate, lighting, noisy. The aim of this research was to analyze electromagnetic radiation and the other factors related to employee’s subjective complaint.Method: The research that used is explanatory research, the method that used in this research is the cross sectional approach survey and statistic test that use in analyzed survey. The population consist of 144 employee of TL departement GE electronic industry. Sample based on caracteristic inclution and exclution 34 employee. The Statistic is chi square test.Result: The result of this research shows there are correlation between work climate and noise with subjective complaint. The other factors are time of work, level of radiation, and radius of radiation are not related. The lighting is not related with subjective complaint but the result of measures shows that the lighting out of range.Keywords: subjective complaint, electromagnetic wave radiation, electrical energy.

Abstract

Tuntutan tugas masinis terhadap keselamatan penumpang serta pengguna jalan menuntut masinis untuk memiliki keandalan tinggi dalam pengoperasian KA. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis keandalan masinis dengan mengidentifikasi kesalahan yang mungkin teriadi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif dengan menggunakan metode HEART dalam perhitungan keandalan masinis dan NASA TLX sebagai pengukuran beban kerja mental secara subjektif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa dari perhitungan NASA TLX, pekerjaan masinis termasuk dalam beban kerja berat dimana 81,41% informan mengalami beban kerja mental tinggi. Nilai R total yang dihitung dengan metode HEART diperoleh 0,66 dengan urutan nilai keandalan terbesar hingga terkecil adalah perjalanan KA di jalan bebas (0,99), persiapan dinas (0,99), persiapan keberangkatan (0,99), pemberangkatan masinis (0,99) dan penggunaan radio loko (0,70). Kata kunci : keandalan manusia, HEART, NASA TLX, masinis Human Reliahility Assesment of Train Engineer of PT. KAI DAOP IV Semarang City; Therefore, assessment of reliability and the factors that affect the operator error PT. KAI DAOP IV is significant for analysis. The purpose of this study is to analyze the reliability engineer to identify probability error. This study is a descriptive qualitative research method with the calculation of reliability HEART and NASA TLx to measuring subjective mental workload machinist. The result sof this research from NASA TLx that machinist jobs included in the heavy mental workload in which 81.41% of informants. The Reliability total value by HEART method obtained is 0.66 with the order of largest to smallest value is the train trip on the railway (0.99), preparation of service (0.99), preparation for departure(0.99), departure machinist (0.99) and the use of radio cab (0.70). Abstract

Pengeluaran keringat yang banyak tanpa diimbangi denagn asupan cairan yang cukup akan mengakibatkan dehidrasi yang juga bisa berakibat pada timbulnya kelelahan. Tuiuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis hubungan antara konsumsi cairan dan sodium dengan kelelahan pada pekerja wanita bagian pengepakan PT. X Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian explanatory research dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menggunakan uji korelasi Kendalls Tau dengan taraf signifikansi (ά=0,05, menuniukkan ada hubungan antara konsumsi cairan dengan kelelahan (p=0,001), dan ada hubungan antar akonsumsi Sodium dengan kelelahan (p=0,005). Kata Kunci : konsumsi cairan, konsumsi sodium, kelelahan, pekerja  Relation of Fluid and Sodium Consumption with Fatigue in the Packing Workers on PT X Semarang; Perspiring body without being balanced by adequate fluid intake may cause dehydration which may also cause fatigue against worker. The purpose of this research was to analyze the correlation between fluid and Sodium intake with fatigue on women employees in packaging division PT X Semarang. This research used explanatory research type with cross sectional approach. Based on statistic test result using Kendalls tau test, 5% of level of signification, it showed that there were correlation between fluid consumption and fatigue (p=0,001), and there were correlation between sodium consumption with fatigue (p=0,005). Abstract

Fatigue can be influenced by several factors that can come from within the individual as well as of the work environment. CV. Aneka Garment Gunungpati Semarang is informal industry convection with all the sewing workers are women. The purpose of this research is to analyze the related factors of fatigue on sewing workers at CV. Aneka Garment Gunungpati Semarang. This research is explanatory research using cross sectional study design, where population numbers to the workers is 31 people. Sampling method using total sampling. Data analysis using Chi-Square test for normal distribution of data and Rank-Spearman for data not normally distributed. The results showed that most of respondents heavy work fatigue (71%), most of the old ³40 years (71%), the majority of respondents work >10 years (71%), nutritional status of most respondents in the normal category (50.1%), the posture of most respondents work at level 3 (42.1%), and most of the workload between 30 to <60% (42.1%), it means need repairation for workload. Results of statistical tests showed had relationship between age and fatigue (p = 0.0001), there is a relationship between the during work with fatigue (p = 0.0001), there is no relationship between nutritional status with fatigue (p = 0.191), there is a relationship between working posture with fatigue (p = 0.0001), and there is a relationship between the workload with fatigue (p = 0.0001). Business owners should provide additional lighting in accordance with the type of work (lighting meets 1000 Lux) and doing engineering work station (chair) to fit the body size of workers

Abstract

Pada tahun 2003 terdapat 60.000 (enam puluh ribu) orang yang mengalami kecelakaan di lokasi kerja di sektor konstruksi. Satu per sepuluh (1/10) diantaranya mengalami kecelakaan berat yang mengakibatkan kematian atau kecacatan. Keselamatan kerja sangat erat kaitannya dengan kecelakaan kerja. Middle manager adalah orang yang memiliki kekuasaan penuh dalam keberlangsungan pelaksanaan suatu proyek konstruksi. Keputusan yang diambil merupakan hasil pemikiran dengan mempertimbangkan situasi problematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tipe kepemimpinan dan pengaruhnya terhadap angka kecelakaan di PT. X dan PT. Y. Desain penelitian kualitatif dibuat agar dapat mendeskripsikan tipe kepemimpinan dan angka kecelakaan yang dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus. Subyek utama penelitian adalah pimpinan proyek yang terlibat dan terjun langsung ke lapangan yaitu Kepala Proyek,sedangkan untuk subyek triangulasi adalah staf K3 dan pekerja di proyek. Setelah dilakukan penelitian, didapatkan data bahwa kepemimpinan yang buruk memiliki pengaruh buruk terhadap tingginya angka kecelakaan di suatu lokasi kerja

Abstract

Disabled is a disorder or disability that caused disruption the body function, this disorder can be happen at limb bones, body muscles, or at the joints, both congenital or got by accident or disease. The using of tools such as prostheses used to support the daily activities of the disabled people so they can live independently and not depend on others. The aim of this research is to analyze the benefit of prosthetic limbs with the physical activity of the diffable people in association of physical disabilities and entrepreneurial. This research used qualitative research by observational approach and descriptive analytic. The informants of this research were the disabled people who using prothesa in association of physical disabilities and entrepreneurial. The number of informants in this research is 8 informants. This research was done by in-depth interview and observation. Validity test was done by triangulation and technique. The result of this research shows that all of the informants have the motivation in the use of prostheses which is to become rise up so they can fulfilled their daily needs. All of the informants had known the function of the use of prostheses with the physical activity and seven of them knew the types of treatment that done to the prostheses. All of the informants can do physical activities such self-care, mobility but about take the stairs they still need a little to middle help, depends on the type of amputation. All of informants said that they can do physical activities just like the normal people but in longer frequency because they need to adjust their balance from the body movement. It’s recommended for the informants to do treatment towards their prostheses such as giving oil at the joints, add more rubber at their footware so it won’t be slippery and do cleaning so the prostheses will keep clean

Abstract

The use of technology in the workplace in terms of facilities and infrastructure will generate noise or unwanted sound that will cause health problems in workers that occupational diseases. The impact of noise on health that occurs in labor could be psychological disorders such as convenience disorders, stress, insomnia, easy emotion, and impaired concentration which can cause accidents. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship of noise intensity with psychological disorders laundry department worker washing part of PT. X Semarang. The design of the study is a cross sectional method with the type of explanatory research and observational approach. The population in this study was the morning shift workers who work at the washing amounted to 110 people, the samples taken were 76 people using purposive sampling technique. The sources was data obtained from the measurement noise and interviews. Based on the research showed that workers experience psychological disorders. The statistical test used the Spearman rank correlation test at α 5% (0,05) showed r = 0,894 with p value = 0,000. It was concluded that there way a relationship with the noise intensity psychological disturbances parts washing laundry department worker PT. X Semarang

Abstract

Safety driving is a driving behavior to help driver in avoiding traffic problems. Data from the Directorate General of Land Transportation or “Direktorat Jenderal Perhubungan Darat” shows, the number of public transport cars in the year 2012 was 10 million units, an increase of 1.2 million units from the previous year. The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors related to safety driving practice of public transport driver of Banyumanik-Johar route in Semarang. This research used quantitative research that employed cross sectional study. This research utilized purposive sample approach. The population in this study was the drivers of public transport of Banyumanik-Johar route. The total number of drivers was 204 people. Thus, a total sample of 40 respondents were selected based on age criteria that was between 18 to 40 years old. Rank Spearman test was used at a significance level of 5%. The results showed that education was not significanly associated with safety driving with p-value = 0,763. Work period was not significanly associated with safety driving with p-value = 0,471. Knowledge was significanly associated with safety driving with p-value = 0,004. The supervisor role was not significanly associated with safety driving with p-value = 1. The friends role was not significanly associated with safety driving with p-value = 0,616. The car condition was not significanly associated with safety driving with p-value = 0,108
