Abstract

ABSTRACT Many  theory  and  research  was  trying  to  explain  the  aging  process.  Free  radical  theory  explained  that  allnormal metabolism process in the body can produce free radical.These free radical can destroy the skin cell,and  than  the  skin  will  start  the  aging  process.  The  tomato  extract  has  antioxidant  such  as  lycopene,  β-carotene  and  vitamin  C.  These  antioxidant  will  prevent  the  activity  of  free  radical,  so  that  skin  cell  will  notdamage.  The  aims  of  this  research  were  to  study  effect  of  tomato  extract  juice  in  preventing  skin  aging  onwistar rats. Total of 25 rats were divided into 5 groups, consisted of 5 rats each. Group one was control groupD-0) rats were four months old, and the group two control of group rats were taken care of 4 months old until7  months  old  (D-1),  the  other  group  which  were  under  treatment  classified  into  3  groups.  Group  three  wereed 7 g/kg/day/ body weight of tomato fruit extract, then taken care of 4 months old until 7 months old (D-2),group four were fed 11 g/kg/day/ body weight of tomato extract fruit, then taken care of 4 months old until 7months old (D-3) and group five were fed 15 g/kg/day/ body weigh of tomato fruit extract, then taken care of 4months  old  until  7  months  old  (D-4).

Abstract

The Rapid spread of Information give the main rule to widen and strengthen the quantity and quality of science and technology. This product of man power is now seen as characteristics of modern world. Technology, as the real product of science, guides men to two ways of life; condusive and destructive. Indonesia, one of the developing countries, shoul "sprint" science and technology to reach the condusive atmosphere.

Abstract

Sex abnormality cases in Indonesia increase both in quality and quantity every year which leads to crime. In Indonesia, sex education in formal school is still in argument. Some sure that sex education will decrease sex abnormality if it is given to the studen informal school, but some other doubt it. this argument should be ended with wise decision because is includes the value: what is true and what is not true.sex education not only explains about the sexual organ but also includes the knowledge of changing of biology, psychology and psychosexual as the consequence of human growth. It also related to the knowledge of function of reproduction oragans, moral, ethic and religion. Theaching of sex education in school will involve teacher, student, and material of sex education.Sex education will make students mature. They can distinguish what is true and false. sex education is not identical with sex contact. In order words, sex education will be needed depends on the society itself. It must be considered that students in-their adolescent-are confused and labile. thus, sex education will be needed to quide them.

Abstract

Biotechnology is to apply science concerning the animate creature and technology involve the biological processed application of animate creature (its biological cell process) to create industrial product and environmental processing. It uses a cheap labor service. Because the labor includes bacteria, fungi, plant cells, and animal cells are the main component of industrial process. Nowadays in Indonesia, biotechnology willy nilly must encourage an industrial improvement. As matter of fact, a nation that acquires technology should take in hand the world as it occurs in this biotechnology. We will have nothing and get behind, when we do not work hard to enrich it.

Abstract

Lesson study merupakan pembinaan profesi melalui pengkajian pembelajaran yang dilakukan secara kolegial kolaboratif dan berkelanjutan dalam rangka meningkatkan kualitas proses dan hasil belajar. Proses pembelajaran harus menyentuh tiga ranah, yaitu sikap, pengetahuan, dan ketrampilan. Hasil akhir yang diharapkan dalam pembelajaran adalah peningkatan dan keseimbangan antara kemampuan untuk menjadi manusia yang baik (soft skills) dan manusia yang memiliki kecakapan dan pengetahuan untuk hidup secara layak (hard skills) dari peserta didik yang meliputi aspek kompetensi sikap, keterampilan, dan pengetahuan. Mata kuliah genetika lanjut bertujuan agar mahasiswa mampu menganalisis materi genetik, sintesa protein, hereditas pada manusia, mutasi, genetika populasi dalam pendekatan molekuler, terampil membuat contoh, model serta mendemonstrasikan model simulasi karakter, proses kerja materi genetik dan mutasi. Proses pembelajaran pada mata kuliah genetika lanjut dilakukan dengan menggunakan diskusi kelompok. Penerapan pendekatan molekuler dalam pembelajaran genetika lanjut bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran yang lebih nyata terhadap konsep genetika yang bersifat abstrak, sehingga mahasiswa mampu berpikir hingga tingkat yang paling kecil. Kendala yang sering muncul dalam pembelajaran adalah masih rendahnya minat baca mahasiswa. Hal ini tampak dari kecenderungan mahasiswa merujuk hanya pada satu sumber bacaan yang berbahasa Indonesia. Hasil yang diperoleh dari implementasi lesson study ini adalah meningkatnya hasil belajar kognitif mahasiswa menjadi 80.91% dengan keterlaksanaan lessonstudy sebesar 91.04%, serta terciptanya karya tulis ilmiah oleh mahasiswa sebagai best-practices pembelajaran implementasi lesson study pada mata kuliah genetika lanjut.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kandungan vitamin C dan pH dalam sayuran bunga kol, kubis dan buncis yang diawetkan dengan kitosan cangkang bekicot selama proses penyimpanan dan untuk mengetahui berapakah konsentrasi kitosan cangkang bekicot yang paling efektif sebagai bahan pengawet sayuran tersebut. Kegiatan penelitian dilakukan melalui True Experimental Research. Tempat dan waktu penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Kimia Universitas Muhammadiyah Malang yang berlangsung pada tanggal 23 Juni – 6 Juli 2014.  Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan 6 perlakuan dan 4 kali ulangan pada bunga kol, kubis dan buncis yaitu C0, K0 dan B0 (Kontrol), C1, K1 dan B1 (0,5%), C2, K2 dan B2 (1%), C3, K3 dan B3(1,5%l), C4, K4 dan B4 (2%), C5, K5 dan B5 (2,5%), Analisis data menggunakan analisis varians satu arah dan uji beda jarak nyata Duncan pada taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada pengaruh pemberian konsentrasi kitosan cangkang bekicot (Achantina fulica) terhadap perbedaan kandungan vitamin C sayuran bunga kol, kubis dan buncis dari hari per hari selama penyimpanan. Perubahan kandungan vitamin C paling kecil terjadi pada perlakuan 1,5% dan paling besar pada perlakuan kontrol. Pemberian konsentrasi kitosan cangkang bekicot (Achantina fulica) 1,5% adalah yang paling efektif mempengaruhi kandungan fitamin C sayuran bunga kol, kubis dan buncis. Hasil penelitian diaplikasikan pada perencanaan pembelajaran SMA kelas XII materi bioteknologi.Kata Kunci: Pengawet alami, kitosan cangkang bekicot, sayuran bunga kol, kubis dan buncis, kandungan vitamin C dan Ph

PENGARUH SARI BUAH NANAS (Ananas comosus) DAN LAMA PENYIMPANAN TERHADAP JUMLAH KOLONI BAKTERI DAN KADAR PROTEIN IKAN BANDENG (Chanos chanos) SEBAGAI SUMBER BELAJAR DALAM PERENCANAAN PEMBELAJARAN BIOLOGI MATERI KINGDOM MONERA   Qorry Aulya Rohmana1, Poncojari Wahyono1, Samsun Hadi1 1Pendidikan Biologi FKIP Universtias Muhammadiyah Malang, e-mail: aulyarohmana16@yahoo.com     ABSTRACT   The aims of this research is to know effect of any pineaple extract juice concentration and duration of saving and to determine concentration of the pineaple fruit extract juice and duration of saving which are the most optimal to the sum of bacterial colony and protein degree in bandeng fish. Research type used was True Experiment Design. A scheme used was Complete Random Scheme of factorial pattern. Data was as such the total of bacterial colony and protein contained in bandeng fish. Result of the research shows that concentration of pineaple fruit extract juise and duration of saving effect the bacterial colony total and protein containe in bandeng fish. The total of bacterial colony gets more as the duration of saving gets longer. As for protein contained in the bandeng fish gets lower as the saving duration goes.   Key Words : Bandeng Fish, Pineaple, Number of Bacterial colony, Rate of Protein
