Abstract

RS485 is serial data communications technique able to communicate between one unit with other units at distance maximum 1,2 Km. Besides can be used for the Long distance, this technique also can be used to connect 32 unit at the same time or recognized with multipoint only by using two cable and don’t require same ground reference between one unit with others unit. Burden which connect with this network be implemented by using a PC and two minimum systems use AT89C51 microcontroller.

Abstract

Possibility of finding the fundamental frequency of concrete specimen by using multi-impact loading is presented in this paper. Solenoid acts as an impact generator to generate pulse trigger for the multi-impact loading. An accelerometer, ADXL330 from Analog Device detects the vibration signal resulted from the impact loading. Observation from the accelerometer output shows oscillatory signal once the concrete specimen receives a single impact. However, if the applied impact is repeated periodically or called multi-impact loading, the fundamental and harmonic will add up and constitute a pulse in the frequency domain. Duality property in Fourier theorem states that a pulse in frequency domain is a sine wave in time domain and vice versa. Each impact received by the concrete produces a vibration that comprises of fundamental and harmonic frequency The signals are analyzed using a Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) toolbox in Matlab®. The results from the study provide valuable information for a better understanding to indicate the defect in the concrete.

Abstract

The hand phone provides an easy to communicate in domestic calls or international calls. The radiation pattern of yagi antenna leads to one direction. Therefore, this antenna is selected for   signal amplifier in global system of mobile communication. The design of 14 element yagi antenna which applied for signal amplification in the cell phones was conducted in this study. The design was done manually without computer software. The antenna was created using an aluminum pipe in 3/8 inch diameter for element and an aluminum beam for boom. The result showed that the operating frequency between the designed antenna and manufactured antenna are the same i.e. 947 MHz. The bandwidth of yagi antenna is 9 MHz. Moreover, the antenna gain which measured in folded antenna transmitter and BTS transmitter are 16 dB and 12 dB respectively. That result is caused differences in distance at the measurement time. Utilization of yagi antenna has succeeded to increase signal amplification in hand phone.

Abstract

Utilization of microcontroller especially MCS-51 family has been widely implemented in various applications, such as control and telecommunications applications. One of them is the phase shifting array antenna in the telecommunication field. The Array Antenna was designed from some of dipole antenna.  Each element at dipole antenna has a different phase and can be controlled electronically. The phase shifting was done using AT89S51 microcontroller that functioned as an electronic switch on the transmission cable connection. The phase of the array antenna will be moved without moving the structure of the array antenna itself, so that the direction of radiation pattern can be changed in accordance with the phase shifting between the antenna elements.

Abstract

Currently, many applications that support conversations so that we can connect and communicate between users, whether it be a conversation in the form of text, voice and even video. But what actually the form data sent or received by the user during communication? So in this study will be discussed and analyzed how the data communication on the application of voice conversations base LAN network. Applications voice conversations are created using Visual Basic 6.0 is equipped with a database. The database created using Microsoft Access 2007, aims to facilitate users who wish to join in the conversation. The application is built on the local network (Local Area Network / LAN) using a type of peer-to-peer networks. On the type of network where there is no specific functioning computer, all computers can function as a client and server at the same time. For the analyze communications traffic data or data packets on the voice conversation application used a software, namely software Wireshark. On the results captured in wireshark look multilevel process of sending data from the application layer, then successively Transmission Control Protocol, Transport, Internet Protocol, Network, Ethernet II, Data link and Physical layer last.

Abstract

Aplikasi android sudah banyak diterapkan dalam berbagai bidang, seperti dalam bidang pendidikan, kesehatan, perbankan, transportasi dan yang lainnya. Aplikasi ini banyak digunakan untuk kemudahan untuk mendapatkan informasi. Pada penelitian ini Aplikasi Android digunakan untuk informasi keberadaan dosen. Aplikasi digunakan untuk memudahkan sesorang untuk mengetahui keberadaan dari dosen yang ingin mereka cari. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa komunikasi data antara aplikasi android dan web server. Analisa komunikasi data ini menggunakan aplikasi wireshark. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan informasi pada masing-masing lapisan Open System Interconnection (OSI) ketika terjadi komunikasi antara aplikasi android dengan web server. Perbandingan komunikasi data menggunakan Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) dan HTTPS juga dilakukan. Hasil studi ini menunjukkan data-data yang dikirimkan baik dari aplikasi android maupun webserver dapat terbaca dengan mudah ketika yang digunakan HTTP, akan tetapi ketika menggunakan HTTPS data tersebut tidak bisa terbaca lagi karena data-data tersebut sudah di enkripsi.
