Abstract

The very least of teacher training result which can applied in the school cause many people doubt abaut the effectiveness of those teacher training. A step-by-step onsite teacher training model (SSOTT) in learning the Mathematics has examined through the experimentation to solve the laxity of training up till now. This training involved 30 teachers in Sidoarjo district. Those are divided into three groups. There are two control group and one experiment group. The first group is colled OPOTT, the second is SSOTT, and the third is colled NNT. The result of this training showed that SSOTT model has the better superiority of teacher working than the two groups in control group. Therefore SSOTT can be applied in the Mathematics learning in the special education/school, at least in Sidoarjo district. It is very significant either in the teacher performance or the result of student learning.Keywords: Kinerja guru, pelatihan, dan model SSOTT.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the substance the effective principal’s management to increase the quality of public elementary school/MI (Islamic elementary school) in Malang and the effective principal’s leadership to increase the quality of public elementary school/MI in Malang. This research was conducted by using multi cases qualitative research approach in three super elementary schools in Malang, those are MIN Malang 1, SDN Kauman I and SDN Madyopuro IV. Data was collected by observation, interviews, and documentation. The collected data was analyzed descriptively by: (a) data reduction, (d) data presentation, (c) drawing conclusion, (d) individual data analysis, (e) cross cases data analysis. Data analysis was conducted through case data analysis and continued by with cross cases analysis. Research finding shows that the substance of effective management in three super elementary schools/MI in Malang (a) studentship management; (b) curriculum management; (c) human resources management; (d) tools and equipments management, (e) human relation management in which all of the managed professionally. The effective principal’s leadership refers to vision, mission, and objectives of SD/MI by implementing the establishing, empowering to teachers and staffs as well as students.Keywords: management, leadership, principal, effective.

Abstract

Kulit pisang merupakan bahan buangan (limbah buah pisang) yang dapat menimbulkan dampak baru, yaitu jumlahnya yang cukup banyak. Kulit pisang mengandung komponen yang bernilai tinggi, seperti karbohidrat, vitamin C, kalsium dan nutrien lainnya. Oleh karena itu, limbah kulit pisang sangat berpotensi untuk digunakan sebagai sumber Glukosa. Glukosa merupakan bahan utama dalam proses pembuatan bioethanol. Bioetanol merupakan salah satu sumber energi terbarukan yang sekarang perannya sangan penting. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh waktu hidrolisis dan massa katalis terhadap kadar glukosa yang dihasilkan dari proses hidrolisis pada kulit pisang kepok sebagai sumber glukosa. Ada empat tahapan yang dilakukan, diantaranya pembuatan tepung kulit pisang kapok, pembuatan katalis zeolit alam teraktivasi, proses hidrolisis dan uji kandungan glukosa. Proses hidrolisis pada kulit pisang kapok menggunakan katalis zeolit alam teraktivasi yang dipanaskan di atas pemanas dengan menvariasiakan massa katalis yaitu 0, 2, 4, 6 dan 8 gram dan waktu hidrolisis yaitu 2, 4 dan 6 jam. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa waktu hidrolisis dan massa katalis berpengaruh terhadap kadar glukosa yang dihasilkan. Semakin lama waktu hidrolisis maka menghasilkan kadar glukosa yang semakin besar. Begitu juga dengan pengaruh massa katalis, semakin besar massa katalis maka menghasilkan kadar glukosa yang semakin besar. Hasil menunjukan bahwa proses hidrolisis pada kulit pisang kepok dengan massa katalis 8 gram dan waktu hidrolisis selama 6 jam menghasilkan kadar glukosa tertinggi, yaitu 51,3 mg/ml dengan presentase yield 10.26%.

Abstract

Diptera is one of the four largest orders of insects (the three others are Coleoptera, Lepidoptera and Hymenoptera).Presently, about 108 families of Diptera were recoqnized and over 150.000 species have been described worldwide.This study was conducted to explore the diversity of Diptera in Gunung Halimun National Park, West Java.Sampling of Diptera has been conducted in Mt. Kendeng (1.200 - 1.300 m asl) and mount Botol (1.650 and 1.750 m asl) using yellow pan traps, Malaise traps, light traps, and sweep nets. The diversity of Diptera were analyzed using Shannons diversity index and evenness, and Jaccards similarity index (Magurran 1987). In this study, we found 49 families of Diptera (12 families are Nematocera and 37 families are Brachycera). The diversity of Diptera in Mt. Kendeng was higher (Shannon diversity index; H =2.92) than that in Mt. Botol (H = 2.46). The similarity of Diptera in Mt. Kendeng and Mt. Botol was 60%(Jaccards similarity index; Cj=0.6).

Abstract

The purpose of science, technology, and art for the community are to overcome the problems faced by teachers in Elementary School, Junior High School in the hinterland Tengger Village Ngadas and Junior High School PGRI in the District Poncokusumo Malang Regency, namely; (1) the quality of learning is still below the standard (2) the mastery of teachers in the field of computer programs such as Microsoft word and excel is still low, and (3) Teachers found difficulty in drafting proposal of Classroom Action Research and writing scientific articles. To overcome these problems, then the training: 1) the computer applications with Microsoft Office and Excel programs, (2) the preparation proposal of Classroom Action Research, and (3) the writing of scientific articles. The expected target is teachers able to master information technology, writing scientific papers in the form of Classroom Action Research and scientific articles that can be published so as to improve the professional quality of teachers in the quality of education in the interior Tengger Tribe in particular and District Poncokusumo generally. The results that have been achieved from science, technology, and art are (1) The teachers are able to operate Microsoft Word and Excel well and understand the type and function of Microsoft Word and Excel icons, (2) The teachers can prepare the proposal of Classroom Action Research and scientific articles that can be published.

Abstract

In structure construction, concrete holds important part. Normal concrete is composed of sands, cement, gravels and water. In general, sands that used to make concrete is mostly came from Lumajang, East Java and because of that the price of it is increased over time. So it is necessary to do research about another alternative for the soft aggregates. Volcanic ash from Kelud Mountain can be one of the solve that can be used to be mixed with Lumajang?s sand. This research determines the effect of the volcanic ash as a partial substitute of the Lumajang?s sand with compressive strength as the comparison. Speciments that used in this research are concrete cylinders with diameter of 150 mm and height of 300 mm. Number of test speciments for each variation are 3 speciments. The results showed that at the 0% substitute variation obtained 29.90 MPa of the average compressive strength, for the 5%, 10% and 15 % obtained 30.02 MPa, 24.63 MPa and 27.54 MPa of the average compressive strength. It shows that the maximum average compressive strength is at the 5% substitute variation at 30.02 MPa. It shows that at 5% variation the compressive strength is increased compared with 0% and then at 10% it is decreased and start to increased again at 15% substitute variation.
