This article tries to contribute the ideas of concept and synergic action of universities, provincial government, and industries for preparing highly-qualified human resources to face APEC in 2020. None of universities in Indonesia is of the international standard. University graduates are not ready to work; they are just ready for training. This study was aimed at revealing the indicators of the quality management system of the competency-based curriculum. This study applied the qualitative approach involving vice principals, teachers, and principals of secondary schools. The data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and focused-group discussions and analyzed by data reduction, data display, and conclusion/verification. This study reveals some indicators of input, process, and output of the quality management system.

This study was aimed at exploring perceptions of the members of the Department of Civil Engineering Education on the organization climate in the Department. A case study design was applied in this study. Data were collected from the students and lecturers of the Department of Civil Engineering Education, the State University of Yogyakarta. The results indicate that, according to the members of the Department, organization climate is a set of characteristics representing the organization of the Department. It affects the members behaviors, and consists of balance, performance and satisfaction. Its dimensions are leadership, conflict, facility, and characteristics of lecturers, technicians, and students of the Department
The pros side says that, in order to increase the skill, training is needed. On the other hand, the contras side states that, although the training has been planned sophisticatedly, the implementation still employs conventional ways. This article presents four research findings, including topics of intrapreneurship material as an important component of the training quality. By sufficient intrapreneur skill, the managerial gap between school managerial and both businessman and entrepreneur hopefully can be reduced. The implementation of the School Integrated Development (SID) in the Vocational High School (VHS) is quite ideal, but much of its succes depends on the activity in the VHS itself. The implementation of the SID in the VHS Bandung demonstrates the leadership style that tends to be authoritarian does not represent the intrapreneurship leadership characteristics. This conclusion shows 21 characteristics of intrapreneurship leadership with an acronym of Teknik. The training materials for candidates of VHS principals should include intrapreneurship leadership concept based on belief and piety, and science, technology, and art as one of its main subject matters
A Model for Life Skill Education as an Alternative to Eradicate Poverty. This study aims to find out the distribution of drop-out children interested in joining trainings, the description of training needs, the appropriateness of worksheets, the criteria of effective trainings and the effective training model. Involving all the population of these children, this study was carried out in two stages. The first stage was in the form of survey utilizing open questions, whereas the second one employed qualitative methods. The results indicate that the drop-out children were enthusiastic in participating in the trainings which they selected based on the possibility whether the trainings offered increasing income.Â Model Pendidikan Kecakapan Hidup sebagai Alternatif Mengurangi Angka Kemiskinan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui distribusi anak-anak putus sekolah dari keluarga miskin kebutuhan pelatihan, kelayakan lembar kerja, model pelatihan, kriteria pelatihan, dan model pelatihan yang efektif. Tahap perÂtama, penelitian ini menggunakan metode survai dan pertanyaan terbuka. Analisis data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teknik persentasi. Populasi adalah seluruh anak putus sekolah. Penelitian tinÂdakan digunakan untuk uji coba lembar kerja. Metode kualitatif digunakan pada penelitian tahap kedua. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa anak-anak putus sekolah sangat tertarik untuk mengikuti pelatihan. Mereka memilih pelatihan yang dapat meningkatkan penghasilannya. Lembar kerja ternyata layak untuk materi pelatihan. Pelatihan kecakapan hidup dapat mengentaskan masyarakat miskin. Terdapat sejumlah kriteria pelatihan efektif. Model pelatihan kecakapan hidup adalah efektif.
Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan konsep strategi kepemimpinan pembelajaran. Perbedaan pembelajaran di SMK dengan SMA membawa konsekuensi strategi kepemimpinan pembelajaran yang berbeda pula. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis grounded theory. Instrumen penelitian adalah peneliti sendiri. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipasi, dan dokumentasi. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah, dan anggota komite sekolahsecara snowball. Orang kunci dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah. Objek penelitian adalah pelaku, konsep, tempat, dan kegiatan. Keabsahan data dilakukan dengan kriteria kredibilitas, transferabilitas, dependabilitas, dan komfirmabilitas. Langkah-langkah dan analisis data yang digunakan adalah model Lichman (2011). Penelitian menemukan bahwa strategi kepemimpinan pembelajaran adalah: keteladanan, pembelajaran di kelas dan luar kelas, kultur sekolah, dan penguatan.Kata Kunci: strategi, kepemimpinan pembelajaran, implementasi kurikulum 2013THE STRATEGY OF INSTRUCTIONAL LEADERSHIP TOWARD THE IMPEMENTATION OF CURRICULUM 2013Abstract: Theresearch was aim to find the strategy concept of instructional leadership. Verification of data was done by credibility, transferability, dependability, and comfirmability criteria. Stage and data analysis were used the Lichman model (2011). Abstrak: Model Diklat Kewirausahaan bagi Remaja Putus Sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan: (1) model diklat kewirausahaan bagi Remaja Putus Sekolah (RPS) di Propinsi DIY, (2) modul-modul diklat kewirausahaan berdasarkan hasil uji coba, dan (3) hasil pelaksanaan diklat kewirausahaan. Pendekatan kualitatif-interaktif dan penelitian&pengembangan digunakan pada penelitian ini. RPS dipilih secara kuota dan purposif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan pejabat pemerintah dan 30 RPS. Data dianalisis dengan teknik deskriptif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menemukan: (1) model pendidikan kewirausahaan meliputi sistem, struktur program diklat, komposisi antara teori dengan praktik, modul diklat, kriteria peserta, pelatih, metode, dan evaluasi diklat, (2) modul-modul ternyata layak digunakan untuk pendidikan kewirausahaan guna mengurangi kemiskinan dan pengangguran, dan (3) diklat kewirausaahaan terlaksana dengan sukses. Kata Kunci: model pendidikan, kewirausahaan, kemiskinan, pengangguran Abstract: A Model of the Entrepreneurship Training for Drop-out Teenagers. This study was aimed to reveal: (1) a model of an entrepreneurship training for drop-out teenagers in Yogyakarta province; (2) modules of the entrepreneurship training based on the results of the try-out; and (3) the results of the training implementation. The qualitative-interactive and research and development approach was used in this study. Thirty drop-out teenagers and government excutiveswere selected purposively for in-depth interviews. The data were analyzed using the descriptive and qualitative technique. The findings indicated that: (1) a model of an entrepreneurship training included the system, program structure, integration between theories and practices, modules, participant criteria, trainers, methods, and evaluation; (2) the modules were appropriate to be used in the training; and (3) the training was implemented successfully.
