#### Abstract

Teaching English in junior high school has not succeeded yet. Although student have learned the language for many years, they still have many difficulties. The researcher is conducted a researcherÂ  in find how effectiveÂ  pictures and without picture inÂ  accomplishing their English tests on the seventh year student of Junior High School. By using picture as a media ,Â  the student in remembering vocabulary from explanation textsopicture given by teacher. Besides, the student will get new experience in learning English and they will not feel bored.This researcherÂ  was conducted in know the difference the use of picture and withoutpicture in accomplishing their English test. The research in was carried out at SMP N 39 duringÂ  two days an April 2013. In this research, the researcher took 38 student as the sample. In collect the data, the researcher used test as the instrument. There wereÂ  both pre-test and post-test. The researcher gave both pre-test and post-test in one class. Moreover, the analyze the data, the researcher used t-test formula.After analyzing the data, the researcher concludes can be used in student accomplishingÂ  their English test is effective. It can be proved by the data computation, the researcher finds the result of t-value is 13. 02 based on the 5 % significant level, the value of t-table 1.687. The result of computation shows that t-value is higher than t-table that is 13. 02.&gt;1.687. So, it can be stated that the hypothesis is accepted. #### Abstract

The research is done based phenomenon which is happened in the field where special necessity of participant with normal participant gather knowledge in education world so that special necessity of participant is difficult to adapt oneself in life. The purpose of this research is to describe: 1) The teachersâ effort of BK helps adaptation for special necessity of participant to learn, 2) The teachersâ effort of BK helps adaptation for special necessity of participant with friends. The kinds of this research is Descriptive Research that give purpose to describe real condition. The subject of the research is special necessity of participant amount 15 person. The data collection uses questionaires. Meanwhile, the data analysis uses percentage formula. The result of this research expresses that 1) The teachersâ effort of BK helps adaptation for special necessity of participant in learning process 60,00% in category good enough, 2) The teachersâ effort of BK helps adaptation for special necessity of participant with friends 46,67% in category least good.Â

#### Abstract

This study was aim to determine the effect of the picture cards through STAD learning model in improving students mastery of the material and activities. The study design was a pretest-posttest equivalent group. The samples were VIIC and VIIB classes selected by purposive sampling. This research data were qualitative and quantitative data. Qualitative data were the activities and students questionnaire responses. Quantitative data was the average test scores were analyzed using t-test and U test. The results showed that the activity of working together, present their views, ask questions, listen to the discussion, and present the results of the discussion has increased. Mastery of students also increased, with the average value of N-gain of 60,43. So, the picture cards through STAD model was given ÃÂ influence in increasing the activity and material mastery of students.ÃÂ Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan kartu bergambar melalui model pembelajaran STAD dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan penguasaan materi siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretes-postes kelompok ekuivalen. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIIC dan VIIB ÃÂ yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data penelitian ini berupa data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif berupa deskripsi aktivitas belajar dan angket tanggapan siswa. Data kuantitatif diperoleh dari rata-rata nilai tes yang dianalisis menggunakan uji-t dan uji U. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aktivitas bekerjasama, mengajukan pendapat, mengajukan pertanyaan, mendengarkan diskusi dan mempresentasikan hasil diskusi mengalami peningkatan. Penguasaan materi siswa juga mengalami peningkatan, dengan rata-rata nilai N-gain sebesar 60,43. Dengan demikian, pembelajaran menggunakan kartu bergambar melalui model pembelajaran STAD berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan aktivitas dan penguasaan materi siswa.ÃÂ Kata kunci: aktivitas, kartu bergambar, model pembelajaran STAD, penguasaan materi.

#### Abstract

Permasalahan penelitian ini âApakah melalui metode diskusi kelompok kemampuan siswa mendengarkan cerita dapat meningkat di Kelas VI Madrasah Ibtidaiyah DDI Siapo Kecamatan Baolan Kabupaten Tolitoli?â Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa mendengarkan cerita melalui metode diskusi kelompok di Kelas VI Madrasah Ibtidaiyah DDI Siapo Kecamatan Baolan Kabupaten Tolitoli. Rancangan penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus dimana tiap siklus melalui empat tahap yaitu (1) Perencanaan, (2) Pelaksanaan tindakan, (3) Observasi, dan (4) Refleksi. Penelitian ini dilaksanankan di kelas VI Madrasah Ibtidaiyah DDI Siapo tahun ajaran 2013/2014. Subjek penelitian adalah 15 siswa ditambah 1 orang guru sebagai pengamat. Pada siklus pertama diperoleh ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 33,33% dan rata-rata daya serap 60%, masih kategori belum berhasil. Oleh karena itu, dilanjutkan pada siklus kedua dan hasilnya adalah ketuntasan klasikal 100% dan rata-rata daya serap meningkat menjadi 85,33% dalam kategori baik karena persentase keberhasilan siswa sudah tercapai. Dengan demikian tindakan selanjutnya tidak dilaksanakan lagi. Berdasarkan uraian yang telah dikemukakan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan siswa mendengarkan cerita di kelas VI Madrasah Ibtidaiyah DDI Siapo dapat ditingkatkan dengan metode diskusi kelompok. #### Abstract

Banyuasin district is one of the rice producing regions in South Sumatra which rely on sub-optimal land type with category tidal land to produce rice production. The statistical data showed that Banyuasin District is a region that produces the highest rice production of rice-producing areas in South Sumatra. However, the high level of production is not able to guarantee farmers income is also high, and prices at the consumer level will be low. This is because rice prices received by farmers is still relatively quite low. The condition is the main attraction of researchers to conduct this research with the aim to analyze the pattern of marketing tidal swamp rice production through the analysis of marketing channels, marketing margins, marketing efficiency level and method of pricing of each institution tidal swamp rice marketing in the District Banyuasin This study was conducted in District Rambutan Banyuasin Regency, with time data collection in April-May 2014. The results showed that there are two groups of marketing channels tidal swamp rice production in the district which are both classified as Banyuasin indirect marketing channels. Pricing method of rice is determined by the merchant so that farmers are recipients of the price (price taker) while marketing agency is a price maker. The calculation of the value of marketing margins in both marketing channel marketing agency in each figure shows the range varies with Rp.400 per kg to Rp, 3,100, - per kg. The analysis shows that the pattern of marketing efficiency marketing tidal swamp rice production is already relatively efficient, with the highest levels of efficiency are the major traders.

#### Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keefektifan model pembelajaran (Quantum Teaching dan TGT) dan membandingkan keefektifan model pembelajaran (Quantum Teaching dan TGT) pada pembelajaran matematika ditinjau dari aspek prestasi dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian quasi-experiment dengan desain pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Yogyakarta, sedangkan sampelnya adalah siswa kelas VIII-D dan VIII-E. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes prestasi belajar dan angket motivasi belajar siswa. Untuk menguji keefektifan model Â pembelajaran (Quantum Teachingdan TGT), data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji one sample t-test. Untuk membandingkan keefektifan model pembelajaran (Quantum Teaching dan TGT), data dianalisis dengan menggunakan MANOVA kemudian dilanjutkan dengan uji t-Bonferoni. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran (Quantum TeachingdanTGT) efektif dan model Quantum Teaching lebih efektif daripada model TGT ditinjau dari aspek prestasi dan motivasi belajar siswa. Kata Kunci: model quantum teaching, model TGT, prestasi belajar, motivasi belajarÂ  COMPARISON OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF QUANTUM TEACHING AND TGT IN MATHEMATICSâ INSTRUCTION VIEWED FROM ACHIEVEMENT AND MOTIVATION Abstract This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the Quantum Teaching and Cooperative TGT Models and compare the effectiveness of the Quantum Teaching models with TGT in mathematicsâ instruction viewed from the studentsâ achievement and learning motivation. This study was a quasi-experimental study using the pretest-posttest nonequivalent group design. The research population was all grade VIII students, while the sample is students of Class VIII-D and VIII-E. The data collecting instruments consisted of a studentsâ learning achievement test and learning motivation to questionnaires. To test the effectiveness of the Quantum Teaching and TGT models, the data were analyzed using one sample t-test. Then, to comparethe effectiveness of the Quantum Teaching models TGT models, the data were analyzed using MANOVA and continued using the t-Beonferroni test. The results of the study show that the Quantum Teaching and TGT models are effective and the Quantum Teaching model is more effective than the TGT models in mathematicsâ instruction viewed from the studentsâ achievement and learning motivation. #### Abstract

Indonesian bureaucracy reform has been widely implemented since 1997. However, the reform is still not able to eradicate the bureaucratic corruption culture. This paper proposes sufi governance approach as an alternative approach to reform corruptive culture within Indonesiaâs bureaucracy. This approach relies on true monotheisme which is used to strengthen internal control system in poor bureaucracy contexts. The basic argument in this approach is that monotheism is true and therefore bureaucrats in charge of serving the community should carry out their duties in a comprehensive manner. As which ones have been listed in the code of ethics of the bureaucracy. In this approach, bureaucrats should see the task as a trust rather than a means to accumulate wealth and depriving the people they serve.Â

#### Abstract

This research is conducted to find the factorâs affecting firm performance of non financial listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The sample was taken from 101 companies in the last five years from 2010-2014. The dependent variable in this research is the firm performance measured by return on equity, while the independent in this research is leverage measured debt to equity, growth opportunity, firm size, and liquidity. The results show that there are negative and significant influence between research leverage to firm performance. There is also posifive and significant effect between firm size to firm performance. And there is no influence between growth opportunity and liquidity to firm performance.

#### Abstract

Research intended to investigate the improvementâs result of continuous training for teacherâs evaluatio n skills.Research conducted from January until May 2015 at SMKN 10 Jakarta by Classroom Action Research method.Continuous training model were focus group discussion and presentation. Research conducted two cycles, in which every cycle has three sessions of class meeting. The research summarized that limit of upper standard reached by97,45%. Abstrak Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil kemampuan guru dalam melaksanakan penilaian denganpelatihan berkelanjutan. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada Bulan Januari sampai dengan Mei2015 di SMK Negeri10Jakarta. Model pelatihan yang digunakan adalah Diskusi dan Presentasi. Penelitian menggunakan metodePenelitian Tindakan Sekolah dan dilaksanakan terdiri dari dua siklus, tiap siklus dilaksanakan tiga kali pertemuan dan pada pertemuan ketiga dilakukan Post Test.Hasil Penelitian telah mencapai indikator yang diharapkan pada siklus kedua, yaitu jumlah guru dalam pelatihan yang mendapatkan nilai sampai batas tuntas atau lebih sebanyak 97 ,45 %. &nbsp; &nbsp;

#### Abstract

An experiments have been conducted on the characterization of ceramic silica microstructures extracted from rice husks. The aim of this research is to observe the change of ceramic silica microstructure extracted from rice husk ash after sintered by using microwave. Rice husk ash first extracted using HCl 1M and NaOH 2M, then drying and molding. Ceramic silica is sintered by using microwave and electric furnace at temperature range 1000ËC-1600ËC. Characterization of ceramic silica using scanning electron microscope (SEM). The results of scanning electron microscope (SEM) show that in the sintering process using microwave the surface of silica ceramic sample is form solid granulars andÂ  pores rapidly reduced. While the results of scanning electron microscope (SEM) using the furnace along with rising temperature, showing microstructure ceramic silica samples at each temperature is almost the same but slower pore reduction.
