Abstract

The research results shown that the direct use value consist of economic value of woods in the Resort forest of Dumai for bandwidth of 3.298 acres is Rp 8.649.994.400. With the value NPV within 25 years is Rp 78.454.488.312,11. Economic value of cordwood itself within 1 year is Rp 388.756.500. While the economic value within 25 years is Rp 3.466.901.293,70. The economic value of decorated plants is Rp 608.415.040, with NPV within 25 years is Rp 5.495.376.545,72-. The economic value of fauna is 330.030.000,-, Value NPV within the next 25 years is Rp 1.109.457.677. The economic value of medicine plants within 25 years (NPV) is Rp 10.043.360.612,61. Meanwhile indirect use value which is consist of economic value of carbon absorption of the forest is Rp 51.824.772.000, Value of NPV within 25 years from that carbon absorption is Rp 470.388.298.259,56 and the economic value of the existence forest of Dumai is Rp 49.266.513.000,-. The value of existence forest of Dumai within 25 years with discount factor 10% is Rp 447.148.724.859,53. Total economic value resort forest of Dumai is Rp.112,177,938,617 and Value NPV within 25 years with assumption steady price and with rate of interest 10% is Rp.1,017,970,152,600. The result of this research hopefully could give information to the people who live near the forest, so they have motivated to maintain their forest existence. Therefore, it is necessary to do some social activity about existence, use and benefit of the forest. While could be observe from social wise, culture wise, economic wise or ecology wise to all kind of people even to those whose is not indirect interaction to the forest but also to the people whose indirect use to the benefit of those forest.

Abstract

Densitas zooxanthellae karang scleractinia Acropora aspera di perairan Pulau Mursala dan perairan Pulau Poncan Sumatra Utara telah diamati untuk melihat pengaruh turbiditas. Zooxanthellae sebagai simbion karang berbeda secara nyata antara dua lingkungan perairan yang berbeda yakni Perairan Mursala yang memiliki turbiditas lebih rendah secara signifikan dibandingkan dengan perairan Pulau Poncan. Karang scleractinia A. aspera di perairan Poncan memiliki densitas zooxanthellae lebih rendah secara nyata (P = 0,0000077) dari pada di perairan Mursala. Dari analisis regresi antara rerata harian turbiditas perairan dan densitas zooxanthellae A. aspera menunjukkan bahwa densitas zooxanthellae menurun secara signifikan dengan peningkatan kekeruhan. Pengaruh secara nyata kekeruhan perairan terhadap densitas zooxanthellae diperkirakan sebagai pengaruh kebutuhan micro algae akan cahaya dalam aktifitas fotosintesis.Kata kunci: karang, Acropora aspera, zooxanthellae, densitas, turbiditasThe effect of water turbidity on the density of zooxanthellae of scleractinian coral Acropora aspera at Mursala and Poncan waters North Sumatra were observed. Zooxanthellae as simbiont of coral was significantly different between that of two significant difference environments waters (Mursalah Waters had significant lower ofturbidity compare to Poncan waters). The scleractinian coral A. aspera in Poncan waters contained significanly lower (P < 0,5) density of zooxanthellae than Mursala waters. From regression analyses between mean of daily turbidity of waters and density of contained zooxanthellae in A. aspera revealed that density of zooxanthellae decrease significantly with increasing turbidity. The significant effect of turbidity of waters tothe zooxanthellae density was suggested as the effect of light requirement for micro algae in photosynthesis activity.Key words: Coral, Acropora aspera, zooxanthellae, density, turbidity

Abstract

WPAN Zegbee adalah salah satu jaringan personal area pada data rate rendah maksimal 250 Kbps. Pada implementasinya dapat digunakan topologi mesh, star dan cluster tree. Topologi cluster tree memiliki kelebihan karena dapat menambah covered area jaringan, akan tetapi pada sisi lain menambah latency waktupengiriman data. Penelitian ini dibuat dengan simulasi software Network Simulator 2 (NS2) untuk menganalisis kinerja jaringan WPAN zegbee dengan topologi cluster tree. Indikator kinerja yang diuji adalah throughput, delay dan packet delivery ratio (PDR). Kinerja jaringan dimati melalui lima scenario dengan memvariasikan jumlah node. Skenario node yaitu 4 , 13, 28, 49 dan 76. Masing-masing scenario dikirimkan paket data 50. Jarak masing-masing node adalah 10 meter. Routing protocol yang digunakan AODV, model antenna omni, tipe antrian first in first out (FIFO), model propagasi two way ground dan tipe trafi FTP. Analisis kinerja jaringan WPAN skenario pertama didapatkan nilai throughput 8,037 Kbps, delay 0,007342 detik dan PDR 97,37 %. Skenario kedua didapatkan hasil throughput 6,562 Kbps, delay 0,007774 detik dan PDR 90,37 %.. Skenario ketiga didapatkan hasil throughput 7,663 Kbps, delay 0,009809 detik dan PDR 77,15 %. Skenario keempat didapatkan hasil throughput 7,954 Kbps, delay 0,015264 detik dan PDR 74,93 %. Skenario kelima didapatkan hasil throughput 2,899 Kbps, delay 0,020772detik dan PDR 63,11 %.

Abstract

Alveopora japonica Eguchi memproduksi tipe planula dalam bentuk normal dan abnormal (kembar). Kedua tipe planula-planula ini mampu menempel, melakukan metamorfosis dan tumbuh. Planula kembar mampu menempel sebagai mana planula normal bila disediakan substrat (substrat dari alam). Tipe planula?planula kembar ini diperkirakan menempel sangat dekat dengan induknya. Akan tetepi, kecepaten penempelannya berbeda nyata antara berbeda substrat dan sebagian kecil planula menempel pada batu hitam (black shale) dan ubin keramik dalam 4 minggu. Kondisi permukaan substrat yang ditutupi oleh microorganisme tidak begitu penting dalam penempelan, dan tipe substrat sendiri mungkin jauh lebih penting menentukan keberhasilan planula-planula ini dalam penempelan.Kata kuncl: karang; Alveopora japonica; planula; substrate; penempelan???Alveopora japonica Eguchi produced normal and abnormal (fused) type of planulae. Both planulae types were capable in settling, metamorphosing and growing. Branched planulae could settle in the same as normal planulae when there were introduced to an appropriate substrate type (the natural substret). These fused planulae types were predicted to settle very close to their parents. However, settlement rate was significantly different among different substrate types and small number of planulae settled on black shale and tiles during 4 weeks. The surface condition of substrate covered by organic coating may not be so important in settlement, and the substrate type itself might be much more essential for determining the successof these planulae in settlement.Keywords: coral; Alvopora japonica; planulae; substrate; settlement

Abstract

Epibenthic dinoflagellates are of important as primary producer in coastal and oceanecosystems. But it has potent toxins causing harmfull effect to marine fauna as well as to human.The present study aimed at analyzing the abundance of three genus ; Ostreopsis, Prorocentrumand Gambierdiscus in Teluk Bayur Bay, West Sumatera, which sampling were conducted inNovember 2014. Environmental parameters were including Nitrate, Phosphate concentration anddensity of Sargassum vegetations were measured which preasumably influence the dinoflagellatesabundance. Apparently, abundance of dinoflagellates ranged from 2061-7116 cells/g. Samplingstations had no effect on abundance of dinoflagellates. Water quality (N, P and Sargassumvegetation density) had no effect to the present and abundance of dinoflagellates, in all samplingstations.

Abstract

One of appropriate tourism management models to be implemented while maintaining the sustainability and the beauty of the nature is sustainable tourism activities that have low impact on the environment, otherwise known as ecotourism. With the concept of ecotourism, which combines tourism with nature conservation, is believed to develop the rest of the environmental potential. Developing the natural ecotourism with alignments principles on nature and will be very beneficial to humans. Its usefulness is not only availability of a healthy environment and climate, maintaining flora and fauna that increasingly rare, but also can be a direct lecturing media, both formal and informal levels. Availability of valuable educational ecotourism area has to be monitored seriously so that the chain of intergenerational education of nature is not interrupted. Abstract

The utilization of non-timber forest products of mangrove palm (Nypa fruticans Wurmb) ofsap produced through the process of tapping,  is still made   by the traditional way with theamount of sap production is still small or limited for consumption purposes. Sap whichcontains sugar has a potency to be fermented  into ethanol which is a source of greenenergy. The problem is the amount of available sap as raw material obtained by traditionaltapping is still limited, therefore, more efforts to increase productivity are needed. Thepurpose of this study was to explore several methods of tapping palm from traditional waytowards  non-conventional technologies. This study used an experimental method examiningseveral factors including 1) Duration of pre-tap (10 days, 20 days, 30 days) 2). Pre-tappingstimulation (without and with stimulation) 3) Type of container (non-vacuum container(traditional), 1.5 L small vacuum container, 2L medium vacuum container  and 20L largevacuum containers). 4) The level of luxuriance palm leaf midrib (not dense 0-2 midrib, lessdense 3-4 midrib and dense &gt; 4 midrib). Observed variables are sap volumes include volumesof palm sap/stem, sugar, tapping duration/stem. The result obtained from tapping processon mangrove forest in Lubuk Muda Village, Siak Kecil District, Bengkalis Regency RiauProvince showed that optimal productivity were obtained on 1). Pre-tapping stimulationat 30 days. 2) Treatment with pre-tapping stimulation. 3) Harvesting on the medium vacuumcontainer and 4) found in dense leaf midrib.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan program ini adalah untuk memberikan ilmu dan teknologi tentang teknik pembenihan dan budidaya ikan baung di Desa Batu Belah, Kecamatan Kampar khususnya pada Kelompok Pembenihan Rakyat (KPR) Lele Sejahtera dan Kelompok Budidaya Ikan (Pokdakan) Mina Karya. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan PKM ini adalah metode ceramah, diskusi dan demonstrasi langsung ke lapangan. Hasil evaluasi perubahan pengetahuan dari 10 orang peserta anggota Kelompok Pembenihan Rakyat (KPR) Lele Sejahtera diperoleh 7 orang (70,00%) telah dapat menyerap materi yang diberikan dengan predikat sangat baik selebihnya predikat baik dan cukup. Selanjutnya dari 11 orang peserta anggota Kelompok Budidaya Ikan (Pokdakan) Mina Karya diperoleh 8 orang (72,23%) telah dapat menyerap materi yang diberikan dengan predikat sangat baik, selebihnya predikat baik dan cukup. Hasil evaluasi keterampilan menunjukkan bahwa peserta kegiatan telah dapat mempraktekkan materi tentang pembenihan ikan baung melalui pemijahan buatan dan teknologi budidaya budidaya ikan baung. Selanjutnya dari hasil evaluasi dampak menunjukkan dampak kegiatan ini telah dirasakan menfaatnya oleh anggota kedua kelompok tani yang ada, sehingga akan dapat meningkatkan pendapatan anggota kedua kelompok tani tersebut, sekaligus dapat meningkatkan kesejahteraannya.

Abstract

Fitoplankton merupakan produsen primer di suatu perairan yang dapat menunjang kehidupansumberdaya hayati perairan lainnya dan menempati trofik level pertama dalamrantai makanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui struktur komunitas fitoplanktonserta hubungan antara konsentrasi fosfat dan nitrat dengan kelimpahan fitoplankton.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan januari 2017 di perairan TanjungBalai Kota Kabupaten Karimun Provinsi Kepulauan Riau. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan27 genus dari fitoplankton yang berasal dari 3 kelas, 7 ordo dan 16 famili.Adapun nilai kelimpahan fitoplankton berkisar antara 48 - 79 ind/l. Nilai indeks keanekaragaman(H’) berkisar antara 2,60 – 2,83, indeks dominasi (C) berkisar antara 0,20 –0,23 dan indeks keseragaman (E) berkisar antara 0,77 – 0,80. Berdasarkan uji regresilinear sederhana, model matematis konsentrasi fosfat dengan kelimpahan fitoplanktonyaitu y = 10.90 + (656.4)x dengan nilai korelasi (r) = 0,42 (tergolong sedang). Modelmatematis konsentrasi nitrat dengan kelimpahan fitoplankton yaitu y = 138.3 + (-1207)x dengan nilai korelasi (r) = 0,21 (tergolong lemah)

Abstract

AbstrakTerjadinya pergeseran paradigma pembelajaran dari “teacher centered” ke “student centered“ menjadikan peran guru di kelas berubah, dari peran yang hanya penyampai informasi kepada peran sebagai perantara.Kurangnya kompetensi guru dalam perencanaan, pelakasanaan dan evaluasi pembelajaran kurikulum 2013 menjadi masalah utama dalam pengabdian ini. Untuk mengatasi hal-hal tersebut guru perlu melakukan Lesson study dalam mengembangkan pembelajaran, mengaktifkan siswa belajar sehingga guru dapat melakukan review terhadap kinerjanya, dapat digunakan sebagai masukan untuk memperbaiki kinerjanya sehingga termotivasi untuk selalu berinovasi menjadi guru yang profesional. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian masyarkat ini adalah membantu guru-guru mata diklat produktif di sub rayon SMK N 7 Medan dalam mengatasi beberapa masalah yang sedang dihadapi. Selain beberapa masalah tersebut, permasalahan khusus yang dihadapi oleh guru adalah kurangnya keterampilan guru dalam merancang dan menerapkan inovasi pembelajaran yang efektif dan menyenangkan. Target khusus dari kegiatan pengabdian dihasilkannya ; 1) RKBM yang sudah terstandar; 2) Tersedianya bahan ajar berbasis IT; 3) model-model pembelajaran berbasis Audiovisual; dan 4) Adanya dokumentasi pelaksanaan Open Class dengan menerapkan berbagai model pembelajara Rencana kegiatan pengabdian yang akan dilakukan antara lain ; 1) Pendampingan Penyusunan RKBM Berbasis Kurikulum 2013; 2) Pendampingan Pembuatan media pembelajaranberbasis IT; 3) Pendampingan penyusunan model-modelpPembelajaran berbasis Audiovisual; dan 4) Open Class.Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di SMKN 7 Medsan. To overcome these things teachers need to do Lesson study in developing activate student learning so that teachers can do a review of its performance so it can be used as an input to improve its performance and motivated to always innovate to be a professional teacher. The purpose of this community service is to help teachers productive eye training in sub rayon SMK N 7 Medan in overcoming some of the problems being faced. Besides, the specific problem faced by teachers is the lack of teacher skills in designing and implementing effective and enjoyable learning innovations. Special targets of devotion activities resulted; 1) standardized RKBM; 2) Availability of IT-based teaching materials; 3) Audiovisual based learning models; and 4) Existence of Open Class implementation documentation by applying various model of learning Plan of activity of dedication to be done, among others; 1) Assistance for the Formulation of RKBM Based on Curriculum 2013; 2) Mentoring The making of IT-based learning media; 3) Assistance in the preparation of Audiovisual based learning models; and 4) Open Class.This activity was implemented in SMKN 7 Medan. The Selection of the location is based on facilities and infrastructure that is very supportive of SMKN 7 Medan to provide the assistance.Keywords: Teacher competency, lesson study, sub rayon SMKN 7
