Abstract

This paper explained about using winest in cost estimate a project construction. Cost estimate is a process to estimate cost, material, worker, and make time schedule. There are many software can be used for cost estimate a project construction like : Microsoft project, primavera, etc. But base on experience many engineer more prefer to use winest than other software because of easy, simple and familiar.

Abstract

In executing a project, required to planning budget of its, in order not to happened loss in doing a project. Budget planning is way to estimate to the number of needed to expenses like fee and materials and also other costs related to execution a project or is a plan totally from all activity that happened in project. There are many software can be used for cost estimate a project construction like : Microsoft Project, Primavera, etc. but based on experience many engineers more prefer to use WinEst that other software. This research aim to for compare of calculation budget plan way of manual by using Microsoft Exel / Lotus 123 with WinEst software, which is application at one particular work of development in civil workshop building at  polytechnic State Project Improvement. Result of calculation of budget plan by manual (Exel) and use Software WinEst show that no difference meaning. The result showed that Analyzed the budget using  Winest program is faster and more accurate than manual system, because in the WinEst program there is fix formula to calculate the work volume.

Abstract

The traffict light system in the center of business of Padang is the most essential problem causing the uncomfortable the traffic system. There are a long time vehicle queuing, traffic jam and accidents happen due to the problem. The problem should be solved such that the journey time can be saved. Otherwise with the increase the number of the vehicles on the road, the situation is going to more crucial and the lost of the time on the road due to the traffic is getting worse. In this paper, a beeter traffic light design on the most important cross section in Padang is presented. The recovered design may increase the traffic light level of service of the section from E initially to B. furthermore, the capacity of the section is increased up to 60 % which indicated an improment of the traffic light system and the service of the section.

Abstract

Conventional teaching methods for this (the activity of teaching faculty is more dominant) lead to low quality of student learning outcomes in Project Management courses in the department of civil engineering Polytechnic University of Andalas (from data 4 year Project Management course (2004/2008)). This study is intended to improve learning outcomes of students in Project Management course by applying a structured method of assignment and the assignment of creativity. This study was conducted based on data from 4 years (2004/2008), then the set target indicators improved student learning outcome that is expected. With the implementation of the assignment method was successfully structure and creativity improve learning outcomes of students with learning outcomes to achieve an A grade rose from 4.0% to 24.0%, less learning result category (D value) can be reduced from 12.0% to 4,0% and the index of student achievement separately subject Construction Management 1 from 2.12 to 2.85.

Abstract

Toe scour is one of phenomenon that frequently experienced by coastal structures and was realized as the causative factor to structure failure. When the structure was placed at coastal environment, existence of that structure will affecting flow pattern at area, one of them is the breaking wave event at around toe area. When breaking wave happened, energy dissipation caused by breaking process compensated in the form of vortex and improvement of flow intensity that have ability to moving bed material from its origin position of rest around the toe. This Research was focused for the breaking wave condition that producing local scouring at toe structure. Testing variable consists of wave height (H ), wave period (T) and water depth at toe (ds). The characteristic of structure was impermeable sloping wall. Physical Modeling was conducted at wave flume with 40 m length, 0.6 m width and 1.1 m height in Balai Hidraulika and Geoteknik Keairan (BHGK) PUSAIR, Bandung. Analysis of the result showed that improvement of toe scour was affected by breaking wave improvement, bed agitation caused by breaking process, down rush flow velocity, decreasing of water depth at toe and increasing of wave length

Abstract

Panti Rao Irrigation area consists of 8.300 hectare, it is the largest irrigation area in Pasaman District. Some 1.500 hectare areas already have technical irrigation meanwhile technical irrigation for 6.800 hectare are under development. Currently, the crop pattern conducted by the farmers is Paddy-Paddy with 200% cropping intensity in technical irrigation area and 152% in which technical irrigation is being developed. The paper intends to study the effort of the exist cropping intensity improvement with the arrangement of cropping pattern as well as utilization of irrigation water optimally based on available potential, thus might increase the production of agricultural product and its applied strategy in related to farmer social condition in Irrigation area of Panti Rao. Cropping intensity analysis is done by organizing cropping pattern at irrigation area of Panti Rao through planting schedule, improvement of cropping pattern and the management of optimum irrigation water improvement to calculate irrigation water necessity by considering the water availability. Furthermore, factor analysis of farmer social condition is done using interview and questioner. The result shows that the cropping intensity at irrigation area of Panti Rao might be increased with the cropping pattern management. By applying Paddy-Paddy-Palawija, cropping intensity is about 300% with the increasing of cropping intensity of 124%, cropping intensity resulted by the Paddy-Paddy-Paddy pattern is 250,60% with the increasing of cropping intensity is 74,60%. While the estimation of production is 91.300 ton of rice per year and 24.900 ton crops per year by applying Paddy-Paddy-Palawija pattern or 114.399 ton rice per year with Paddy-Paddy-Paddy pattern. For optimum agricultural production and productivity at irrigation area of Panti Rao, it necessary to conduct training and conselling to farmers through farmers association (P3A), as well as preparing agricultural production tools and quantity on time.

Abstract

This paper contains the results of an examination of the feasibility of building Inpres IV Market post earthquake in Padang on September 30, 2009.Based on data BMG, the earthquake occurred at 5:16:23 pm , the depth of 776 km with a magnitude of 7.9 Richter scale, positioned at 57 km southwest of Pariaman accompanied several aftershocks which also has a large enough magnitude scale. The Building of Inpres IV market is located in the city of Padang, West Sumatra Province was built in 1979.The upper structure of building Inpres IV Market is an open two-story frame structure made ​​of reinforced concrete. At this time, the building suffered damage caused by the earthquake. The purpose of the inspection is to obtain field data such as building configuration, structural elements that were damaged after the earthquake and material data and sampling for laboratory testing. in addition to the purpose of this inspection is also to provide technical advice on the level of reliability of the present building structure (existing) and provide recommendations for improvement and strengthening of the structure of the building is required to be able to function again. The analysis showed unsafe structures to withstand seismic forces (2nd floor structure), while in terms of the feasibility function is also not feasible. Suggested should Inpres market structure IV rebuilt in accordance with the conditions of necessity now.

Abstract

Heavy rains on Monday, 21/3/2016, which flushed the city of Padang, West Sumatra, causing floods and submerged thousands of homes at local residents. This time called the flooding the worst experienced by the region in recent years. Head of Logistics Emergency and Disaster Management Agency said flooding in Padang city West Sumatra at this time was the worst, because it contributes to soak the areas that usually never flooded. The purpose of the study is to look at changes in land use and hydrograph models of Batang Air Dingin watershed using field data.The results shows the change of  land use of Batang Air Dingin Watershed can decreased 1.57%  from 2011 to 2015. It due to the opening of new land. While shrub rose rose 0.70%, because was due of changes of forests that have not done processing. For an others using of the land  the number increase 1.75%. It due to changes of forests and shrubs into failure land.. As the runoff coefficient (C) does not occur any significant change that is from 0.443 into 0.445. Peak discharge calculated by the Nakayasu method 179.274 m3 / dt, was greater by Snyder method of 177.150 m3 / dt is caused no difference in the approach used.

Abstract

In a feasibility study of the structure after the fire ( Case Study Building of Pasar Koppas in  Padang ) . To obtain preliminary data, building data includes tracking information about the building construction has been done. Then visual inspection includes examination of the structural system of the building and non-structural components, as well as the configuration of the geometry component of the structure. Measurement of the building is intended to determine the configuration of the building . It can also serve as a confirmation of the existing building geometric conditions . Later examination of the damage structure and non- structural components by visual observation . Field trials conducted to obtain the data quality of the material structure of the building, with a non destruxctive and destructive . This activity is a test of the quality of the concrete surface with a hammer concrete test, concrete homogeneity measurement, measurement of the diameter and spacing of reinforcement, concrete cored drill with the core drill tools, observations reinforcement fatigue . While in the laboratory to test the compressive strength of the concrete core and reinforcement tensile test. Taking photographs of the condition of the buildings, structural components and non-structural components for further examination to determine the location of the damage, as well as a guide to determine damage level of the building, in addition to the photographs can serve as documentation . Then the data evaluation and analysis of the structure of the building . From the results of the evaluation and analysis of the feasibility of building structures from Pasar Koppas could be concluded, that the structure and function of the building is still viable . For the convenience of occupancy necessary to repair or retrofitting the proper manner and method by the Government of Padang City.
