Abstract

This research purposes was to find out the effect of the kinds of organic sources and P fertilizer to the availability and absorption of phosphor in Andisols and to find out kinds of organic sources and P fertilizer dosage that can give the highest of availability and absorption of phosphor in Andisols. This research was conducted in Green House and Chemistry and Soil fertility Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty of Sebelas Maret University from June 2005 until January 2006. This research used Factorial Randomized Complete Design with two factors. The first factor was P0 (without P fertilizer), P1 (100 kg/ha P2O5) and P2 (100 kg/ha P2O5), the second factor consist of B0 (without organic matter), B1 (Gliricida sepium 10 ton/ha), B2 (rice stalk 12 ton/ha) and B3 (manure 14.25 ton/ha). They are 12 treatments that be repeated three times. Data were analyzed with F-test or Kruskal-Wallis test 1% and 5% was used to know the effect of treatment on experimental result. Duncan multiple range test 5% is used for comparing inter-treatment. For finding out the relation between primary dependent variable and secondary dependent one it is used correlation test. The result of research shows that the organic matter and P fertilizer appliances have very significant effects to the availability of phosphor in Andisols and the absorption of P by the plant. The rice stalk appliance 12 ton/ha with P fertilizer 100 kg/ha P2O5 (P2B2) gives the highest availability of phosphor; that is 24.67 mg/kg. The highest absorption of P can be found at the manure appliance 14.25 ton/ha and P fertilizer 100 kg/ha P2O5 (P2B3); that is 2.24 mg. Keywords: Andisols, available-P, organic matter, P fertilizer

Abstract

The aim of this research were to study the effect of Zeolite to the efficiency of P fertilizer at Sandy Soil Paddy Field Kulonprogo and to know the rate of P fertilizer that gives the highest yield of rice (Oryza Sativa L.) . This research was conducted at Krembangan, Panjatan, Kulonprogo from October 2006 to January 2007. This field experiment was arranged in Split Plot Design. Zeolite as a main plot consists of no Zeolite and 750 kgha-1 Zeolite. P fertilizer as sub plot consist of five levels of P fertilizer, i.e. 0, 20, 40, 60, 80 kg SP 36 ha-1. Each treatment was replicated three times so there are 30 plot treatments. Data were analyzed with F test, Kruskal-Wallis Test, DMRT and Correlation test. There is no interaction effect of P fertilizer and Zeolite to P uptake and Physiological Efficiency. Added 750 kg ha-1 Zeolite can increase P uptake 3.04 g/plant and increase efficiency of P fertilizer up to 62.99% in comparison with control. P Fertilizer has significant effect on total tiller number, weight of rice, weight of 1,000 seeds and percentage of rice empty. Until dosage that used in the experiment, response to P fertilizer is linier. P fertilizer 80 kg ha-1 gives the highest rice yield (6.12 kg/7 m2). Keywords: Efficiency, Zeolite, rice plant

Abstract

This research was conducted from January–August 2008 in paddy field, Palur Sukoharjo. The aim of this research were to know the effect of cow manure with Biodecompocer and inorganic fertilizer to K uptake efficiency and the rice yield (Oryza sativa L.) in paddy field Palur Sukoharjo. This research used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) with two factors. The first factor was dosage cow manure consist of 7 levels i.e.: B0 (no cow manure), B1 (2.5 t.ha-1cow manure), B2 (5 t.ha-1 cow manure), B3 (2.5 t.ha-1 +stardec), B4 (5 t.ha-1+stardec), B5 (2.5 t.ha-1 +earthworm), B6 (5 t.ha-1 +earthworm). The second factor was Inorganic fertilizer consist of 3 levels i.e.: (without inorganic fertilizer) A0; (Urea 150 kg.ha-1, ZA 50 kg.ha-1, SP36 dosage 75 kg.ha-1 and KCl 50 kg.ha-1) A1; and (Urea 300 kg.ha-1, ZA 100 kg.ha-1, SP36 150 kg.ha-1 and KCl 100 kg.ha-1) A2. Data was analyzed with F-tested level 1% and 5% or Kruskal Wallis test, and continued with Duncan Multiple Range Test 5% (DMRT 5%) or mood median, and correlation test to know relation between observation variable. The result of this research shows that the highest efficiency of K uptake was achieved at 2.5 t.ha-1 cow manure+stardec and Urea 300 kg.ha-1, ZA 100 kg.ha-1 , SP36 150 kg.ha-1 and KCl 100 kg.ha-1 its 4.67%. The highest weight of 1,000 seed was achieved at 5 t.ha-1 cow manure+earthworm and without inorganic fertilizer its 28.79 gr. The highest weight of dry yield rice was achieved (GKG) at 5 t.ha-1 cow manure+stardec and Urea 150 kg.ha-1, ZA 50 kg.ha-1, SP36 75 kg.ha-1 and KCl 50 kg.ha-1) its 11.5 kg.18 m -2 6.39 t.ha-1. Abstract

Mostly potatoes (Solanum tuberosum L.) are planted on Andisols that have problem in phosphate fixation. The aim of this research were to know the efficiency of P fertilizing in Andisols that were added vermicompost and SP36 and to know potatoes yield in Andisol. This research was conducted at Tawangmangu, Karanganyar on October until December 2007. The method used was split plot design, as a main plot was vermicompost, i.e. no vermicompost and 10 ton.ha-1 vermicompost. Sub plot consist of four levels of P fertilizer (SP36), i.e. 100, 250, 400, 550 kg.ha-1 and control. The observation variables are available P, efficiency of P absorption, weight and diameter percentage of potato tuber. F test, Kruskal-Wallis test, and DMRT 5% test is used to analysis data. The result of this research shows that there is interaction betwen vermicompost and 400 kg.ha-1 doses SP36 to highest available P in the soil is 2.157 ppm P2O5, but there is no interaction on yield. The addition of 10 ton.ha-1 vermicompost can increase weight of potato tuber (30.83 %) and decreased percentage of potato tuber amount diameter in < 9 cm (48.05 %). Addition of 250 kg.ha-1 SP36 can increase percentage of potato tuber amount diameter in 12-15 cm (57.46%). The highest result of potato is reached on tuber diameter > 15 cm (37.16%) with 10 tons.ha-1 vermicompost additions. Keywords: vermicompost, P fertilizer, potato, Andisols

Abstract

This research was conducted on January-August 2008. Used Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) that arranged in factorial with two factors. The first factor was 3 levels of inorganic fertilizer dosage i.e.: without inorganic fertilizer (A1), urea dosage 150 kg.ha-1, SP-36 dosage 75 kg.ha-1, KCl dosage 50 kg.ha-1, and ZA dosage 50 kg.ha-1 (A2), urea dosage 300 kg.ha-1, SP-36 dosage 150 kg.ha-1, KCl dosage 100 kg.ha-1, and ZA dosage 100 kg.ha-1 (A3). And second factor were 3 levels of quail manure dosage i.e.: without quail manure (O1), quail manure dosage 3 Mg.ha-1 (O2); quail manure dosage 6 Mg.ha-1 (O3). Statistical analysis that used was F test or Kruskal-Wallis test, Duncan Multiple Range (DMR) test at 5% in level, and Correlation test. The research result showed that the highest P uptake efficiency, agronomy efficiency, and the grain dry weight was achieved on 50% of inorganic fertilizer recommendation dosage (urea dosage 150 kg.ha-1, SP-36 dosage 75 kg.ha-1, KCl dosage 50 kg.ha-1, and ZA dosage 50 kg.ha-1) and 6 Mg.ha-1of quail manure treatment (A2O3) in mount of 38.83%, 30.40%, and 6.22 Mg.ha-1 respectively. P uptake efficiency in that treatment was increased as much 13.83% than the same treatment in session I. Generally, the grain dry weight on season II lower than season I. The significant decrease in mount of 2,33 Mg/ha-1 found on treatment of inorganic fertilizer present in 50% of recommendation dosage (urea dosage 150 kg.ha-1, SP-36 dosage 75 kg.ha-1, KCl dosage 50 kg. ha-1, and ZA dosage 50 kg.ha-1) and 3 Mg.ha-1 of quail manure treatment (A2O2). Abstract

This research was conducted in Sub DAS Solo Hulu area from October 2006 – February 2007. The aim of this research was to study the effect of various straightened composition of crop to soil physics and chemical properties. The change will be seen when the available vegetation was more dominant than vegetation on the same area. This research used variable approach by survey in spacious and is supported by analysis in laboratory. T‐test and Correlation test was used in this research. The result of this research showed that according to vegetation survey, there was get six straightened composition of crop. The most of straightened composition of crop was predominated by Jati (Tectona grandis L.). Straightened composition of crop which predominated by Jati (Tectona grandis L.) giving effect of very real to some soil physics (soil pore, soil aggregate, field capacity) and chemical properties (pH H2O, pH KCl, organic matter, cation exchangeable capacity, total N, available P, available K and basalt spacing) at this same of soil type (Entisols and Alfisols). The various straightened composition of crop to effect soil physics and chemical properties through organic materials which yielded by litter material and crop activity of root. Various straightened composition of crop was predominated by annual crop will yield as litter material which is more compared to with straightened composition of predominated by season crop. Because annual crop have longer life cycle from at season crop so that can render as litter material as continually. Organic materials decomposition will yield organic acids as one of the source of organic materials of ground. While activity of root will render organic materials in ground through flaking back part of root of organic compound. Abstract

Penelitian pot ini bertujuan untuk mengukur kandungan glomalin,  pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi dari inokulalsi mikoriza. Penelitian disusun dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap dari empat perlakuan yaitu dua taraf sterilisasi (TO, tanpa sterilisasi dan TS, + sterilisasi) dan dua taraf inokulasi mikoriza (M1, - mikoriza dan M1+ mkorisa) dengan enam kali ulangan. Mikoriza sebanyak 5 g/pot diberikan sebelum penamanan benih padi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Glomalin Total (GT) dan Glomalin mudah diekstrak (GEE) lebih tinggi pada inokulasi mikoriza, masing-masing meningkat 16 % dan 20% pada tanah tidak steril (TOM1) dan  25 % dan 11 %  pada tanah steril(TSM1) dibandingkan tanpa mikoriza. Kandungan GT berkisar dari 4,95 – 9,74 mg/ g tanah dan GEE 0,99 – 2,78 mg/g tanah. Inokulasi mikoriza meningkatkan C organik tanah, sebesar 13,47 %  pada tanah tak steril dan 12,93 % pada tanah steril. Tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan dan berat gabah kering giling (GKG) nyata dipengaruhi inokulasi mikoriza. GKG pada tanah steril+ mikoriza paling tinggi (20,68 g/pot) namun tidak berbeda nyata dengan  tanah tak steril + mikoriza. Sterilisasi tanah nyata tidak mempengaruhi produksi glomalin, pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman padi.
