Abstract

Traffic congestions, traffic violations, and queuing problems inWestern Lombok Region were frequently occurred at the main intersection, inparticular at four legged intersection of Gerung. This is caused by ineffectiveoperation at the intersection e.g. the use of the area for parking and stopping ofpublic transport (angdes and cidomo). Therefore, it is required to evaluate thethe intersection performance and to propose the intersection management.Primary data collected includes geometric, environment condition and trafficdata. Performance analysis was conducted for the existing condition (unsignalisedintersection) and for the proposed new traffic signal. The analysiswas based on IHCM 1997 method. The analysis for existing condition showedthat the capacity of the intersection was 3,159 pcu/hour and the degree ofsaturation was 0.74. This indicated that traffic management is required toimprove the intersection performance such as redesigning geometric andapplying traffic signal

Abstract

This study discusses the development and preservation of local culinary as a tourism product through the process of commodification. The formulation of the study about "commodification as a form of invention of culinary culture in supporting tourism activities in Mataram Tourism Area". The method of analyze of the data was a descriptive qualitative method with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews and observations. Based on the results of the study, it can be explained that culinary tourism activities have developed in the Mataram Region as a support for urban tourism activities. In order to be sold as a tourism product, local culinary has been commodified in such a way that it becomes an attractive packaging for the consumen. The aspects commodified by culinary entrepreneurs are packaging and presentation procedures so that they become more attractive products. Although commodification was often associated with a negative impact on culture, but in the context of culinary culture it is able to encourage the continuity and regeneration of culinary culture

Abstract

ABSTRACT Karangasem is one of regency in Bali have much of tourism potential and tourism resources, so Karangasem developed Tanah Ampo Cruise Port  to optimalize the tourists visiting, because cruise tourism is one of type of tourism trend in the word.  Every tourism port in every country have quality facilities and and very support by tourism potential. Thus, in this study aims to determine the potential of the area as the location of Tanah Ampo cruise port development and to discusses  Tanah Ampo Cruise Port development as a tourism entrance in Karangasem. This study discusses the development of Tanah Ampo Cruise Port as the gateway of tourism at  Karangasem Regency. To discuss this study used a descriptive qualitative  method. The   types of data consist of qualitative and quantitative data  as well as primary and secondary data  sources. Data collected by  in-depth interviews, observation , documentation studies and literature studies. Tanah Ampo cruise port located in Banjar Dinas Tanah Ampo, Ulakan Village, Manggis District, Karangasem Regency, Bali Province. This location is very strategic and has tourism potential wich consists of the physical and  nonphisical potential. Tanah Ampo Cruise Port development project is implemented in accordance with the applicable regulations of port development in Indonesia and in accordance with the regulations of Bali Provincial and Karangasem Regency. Tanah Ampo Cruise Port development became a transit point as well as a destination for tourists who travel by  cruise ship. The development also aims to increase the tourist visits to Karangasem and the all of tousrist attraction in Bali. But in the operational phase of the  Tanah Ampo Port has not reached target operated due to several constraints related to port facilities,  thus requiring evaluation  and repairing the fasilities to able to meet market demands.

Abstract

An intersection is a critical area of conflicting traffic caused by the conflict problems of traffic movement. This conflicting traffic leads to driver delay, accident and traffic jam. A high traffic flow increases problems due to vehicle conflict, traffic light should be set up in order to separate and merge vehicle movement within traffic flow. A coordination of undersaturated intersections could reduce delay, travel time and travel cost. A computer program called TRANSYT was used to coordinate two undersaturated intersection discussed in this project. Research variables included were traffic volume, saturation flow, speed, traffic light setting and geometrical data of the intersections. The output of TRANSYT showed that the initial performance index was Rp.12.623.500/hour and could be reduced to Rp.8.165.250/hour after coordination of the two intersections. Total delay decreased 35.7 % from the initial delay, and the travel time was 12.5% faster. The optimum offset value of both intersection coordinated was found and the minimum performance index was attained using 90 second cycle time. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia: Persimpangan merupakan salah satu lokasi yang rawan terhadap kemacetan akibat konflik pergerakan kendaraan. Konflik pergerakan ini menyebabkan tundaan, kecelakaan serta kemacetan. Arus lalu lintas yang terlalu tinggi menimbulkan masalah karena adanya konflik yang meningkat, maka pemasangan lampu lalu lintas perlu dilakukan. Pengkoordinasian dua simpang dibawah jenuh (undersaturated) yang dianalisa, dimaksudkan untuk mengurangi tundaan, waktu perjalanan dan biaya perjalanan yang terjadi. Dari hasil analisa dengan menggunakan Program TRANSYT diperoleh kinerja simpang seperti nilai indek kinerja sebelum koordinasi sebesar Rp.12.149.550/jam dan Rp.8.164.300/jam setelah dikoordinasi, tundaan total yang terjadi berkurang 35,7 % dari tundaan sebelum dikoordinasikan dan waktu perjalanan yang lebih cepat 12,5 % dari waktu perjalanan semula. Di samping itu diperoleh juga nilai offset optimum pada kedua simpang yang dikoordinasikan serta nilai indek kinerja paling minimum yang didapat dengan waktu siklus 90 detik. Kata Kunci : konflik pergerakan, tundaan, arus jenuh, indek kinerja.

Abstract

     A port is said to have a good level of service if the time required for loading and unloading items is shorter than the schedule given, so as not to disrupt the schedules of other ships that will be anchored. In order to know the service performance of a port, it is necessary to measure all port activities in order to obtain a service product size that is port operational performance, including service and productivity, port utility and operational performance of service.    To measure the value of the indicator, primary data is needed including the time data of the ship begins to enter the port pool until the ship relinquishes the mooring rope from the dock. Other supporting data are obtained from related technical agencies as secondary data. Performance analysis is conducted in accordance with the guidance of the Director General of Sea Transportation Decree, especially the performance criteria for Lembar Sea Port.    From the result of analysis of nine indicator can be concluded that performance of Lembar Sea Port can be categorized quite good from service and productivity side. While from port uttilitis, operational performance of service is still not good

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang potensi kuliner lokal dalam kegiatan pariwisata di Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus Mandalika, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah, dengan menjawab rumusan masalah tentang “potensi kuliner lokal dalam penunjang kegiatan cullinarry tourism di Kawasan Ekonomi Khusus Mandalika”. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat dijelaskan bahwa KEK Mandalika didukung oleh beragam potensi kuliner lokal yang memiliki peluang untuk dikembangkan sebagai penunjang kegiatan wisata kuliner. Beberapa jenis kuliner lokal juga sudah sangat populer dalam pariwisata diantaranya ayam taliwang, bebalung, urap-urap, plecing kangkung dan beberuk. Tetapi, jika dibandingkan dengan pesona dari potensi alam, kuliner belum menjadi sebuah ikon yang menjadi daya tarik wisatawan untuk datang. Pada saat ini upaya strategis perlu ditingkatkan agar kuliner mampu mewakili keragaman budaya yang menjadi representasi KEK Mandalika sebagai sebuah destinasi

Abstract

Lombok memiliki potensi besar untuk mengembangkan wisata halal pasca kemenangan di beberapa kategori pada ajang World Halal Tourism Award di Abu Dhabi, Uni Emirat Arab (UEA). Namun demikian, masih terdapat beberapa masalah yang menjadi penghambat dalam praktiknya seperti pemetaan zonasi yang belum optimal, sehingga pengembangan wisata halal belum dilaksanakan sepenuhnya. Masalah lain muncul dikarenakan pariwisata identik dengan bersenang-senang dan hura-hura yang bersifat keduniawian, sehingga tidak bisa lepas dari hal negatif yang dilarang menurut syariah islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi wisata halal di Pulau Lombok. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik observasi dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Lombok memiliki fasilitas dan layanan halal seperti hotel, restoran, tempat ibadah serta website yang menyediakan kebutuhan-kebutuhan wisatawan muslim dunia.
