Abstract

In developing countries, however, the farmer organizations are still weak in one side and there are a variety of constraints in development of such organizations in other side. Similar experience occurs with farmer organizations in District of Sukoharjo. With this context, it is necessary for the agricultural service to carry out an action plan to promote farmer organizations in order to enhance self reliance of the organizations.  A conceptual framework should be formulated based on the following considerations: (a) continue the existing program of farmer organizations developed and its improvement in the future; (b) analyze the strengths and weakness of the existing farmer organizations; (c) establish the ideal conditions of the farmer organizations, especially in term of self reliance.This studi formulates an alternaiveframework for intervention which cover the followings: (a) increase  the capacity of extension agents, especially in delivering guidance and technical assistant; (b) increase the capacity of farmer organizations to formulate participatory plan; (c) enhance the role of extension agents, especially in facilitating the activities of farmer organizations.Improvement of the capacity of farmer organizations can be done through increasing motivation (AMT), master of technique of productive activities and it is important to assist the organizations for their marketing products. Motivation and stimulation services shoul be directed to self reliance process of the farmer organizations and the members.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi proses conjecturing siswa dalam pemecahan masalah generalisasi pola. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif eksploratif. Subjek penelitiannya adalah 6 siswa kelas VIII   SMP Negeri 5 Malang, pada tahap pertama siswa menyelesaikan masalah generalisasi pola dan pada tahap kedua siswa diwawancara berdasarkan lembar jawaban masing-masing. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: 1) tidak semua tahapan proses conjecturing  dilakukan,  2)  proses  conjecturing  terjadi  secara  linear  dan  zigzag  dan  3) memahami masalah merupakan titik awal untuk pemecahan masalah generalisasi pola

Abstract

Sejauh  ini, pembangunan  dengan  institusi  agribisnis  pedesaan  biasanya  jauh  dari  harapan  untuk menyelesaikan masalah terkait.   Model dari perpaduan di antara petani dan pengusaha agribisnisdi tandai suatu kinerja tak memuaskan.   underdevelopment  dari modelnya persekutuan sehubungan dengan secara filsafat,  ini  mempunyai  tidak  bersatu  pemegang  taruhan  pada  satu  penggunaan  umum  yang  mana menyediakan bermanfaat bagi menurut perbandingan.Tujuan  dari  penelitian  yang  diarahkan  untuk  mendeskripsikan   institusi  lokas  agribisnis  yang berpotensi sebagai supporting agribisnis di komuditas wortel; untuk mengkaji kinerja kelembagaan  yang lokal agar mendukung satu agribussiness wortel; (ii.) untuk menguji pendapat dari ini pemegang taruhan ke arah pembangunan kelembagaan untuk wortel.Pengamatan  dengan  salah   satu cara deskriptif.  Lokasi  penelitian  dipilih purposively.  Subdistrict dari Tawangmangu telah dipilih sebagai daerah penghasil  wortel adalah paling tinggi dibandingkandaerah lain di Karanganyar.  Data dikumpulkan  dari sejumlah ytokoh masyarakat dan petani.   Dari sumber yang dapat dipercaya diketahui tentang konsep dari ‘ agropolitant sendiri; bahkan beberapa petani kurang mempedulikan konsep itu. Area dari agropolitant yang mana tadinya direncanakan jadi wilayah pariwisata agro dan promosi dari barang produksi setempat jauh dari harapan semula. Pada kenyataan di lapangan tidak ada aktivitas pemasaran untuk barang produksi setempat itu.Beberapa  program  yang  layak  dipertimbangkan  untuk  diterapkan  agar  dapat  mencapai  tujuan. Pertama,  meningkatkan  posisi  penawaran,  ini  layak  untuk  meningkatkan  intensitas  dari  asssistance. Terutama, ini disarankan untuk meningkat mutu dari manajemen organisasi dan entreprenurship.  Kedua, adalah  penting  bagi  pemda  untuk  memudahkan  jaringan  antara  subdistricts  atau  dengan  daerah  luar dengan perhatian khusus untuk menghubungkan petani wortel. Sebagai institusi yang barang jualan efektif untuk menerapkan  fungsi dari pembangunan,  advocation,  dan relevan yang promosi  ke wortel. Ketiga, penting bagi pemda untuk meningkatkan  efektivitas,  especialy  pada langkah dari sosialisasi,   di hormat dengan pembangunan agropolitant.

Abstract

This paper seeks to outline the representation of woman character specifically in using her drive in respondingto androcentrism in Mulan in Disney Beloved Tales. It is one of short stories written by Jane Brierly, RobynBryant and Stephanie Werner and published in 2001 in Canada. The androcentrism undergone by woman maincharacter will be discussed. The great upward drive will be discussed and related to the woman maincharacters response to androcentrisms. This will be placed in the context of woman representation in literaryworks. The approaches used in this discussion are feminist and psychological approach. Feminist approach isused to know the woman characters position in the story and how she is represented. Psychological approach isused to know the psychological state and the response of the main character toward the androcentrisms in thestory . The method of the study used in this thesis is deductive method from the general discussion to the specificdiscussion. The data are collected through library and cyber research. The result of the research shows thatMulan, the main woman character experiences three kinds of androcentrisms namely woman for reproduction,ethical concept and warfare. She uses her great upward drive in responding the three androcentrisms. Therepresentation of Mulan is made very positively that gives good values about woman character in the literarywork.Keywords: great upward drive, tales, Mulan, feminist critique, androcentrism, patriarchy.

Abstract

So far, development of rural agribusiness institutions is commonly far from expectation to solve related problems. The model of partnership between farmers and agribussiness entrepreneurs indicated an unsatisfactory performance. The underdevelopment of the partnership’s model was due to philosophically, it had not united stakeholders within a common purpose which provided benefits proportionally. The objective of the research aimed at (i) describing the local agribussines institution having potential to suppot a carrot agribussiness; (i) to assess the local institutional performance in order to support a carrot agribussiness; (ii) to examine the opinion of its stakeholders towards institutional development for carrot. This study used a descriptive method. The location have been selected purposively. The Subdistrict of Tawangmangu had been selected as the produce of carrot was the highest compared to other subdistricts in District of Karanganyar. The information was collected from a number of key informants. The informants get confused about the concept of ‘agropolitant itself; even some of the farmers did not care about that concept. Area of agropolitant which formerly planned to become agro-tourism and the promotion of the local product was regarded far from expectation. In fact, there was no marketing activities for those local products. Some programs was considered to be reasonable to implement in order to achieve the objectives. First, in order to improve the bargaining positions, it was reasonable to increase the intensity of asssistance. Particularly, it was suggested to increase the quality of organization management and entreprenurship. Second, it is necessary for the local government to facilitate the networks among the subdistricts or with outer districts with special attention to connect the carrot farmers. As the institution which is commodity base is effective for implementing the function of development, advocation, and promotion relevant to carrot. Third, there is necessary for local government to improve the effectiveness, especialy at the stage of socialization, in regard with the agropolitant development.

Abstract

Life of Pi adalah novel yang ditulis oleh Yann Martel. Novel ini menceritakan tentang seorang anak muda bernama Piscine Patel yang hidup di ruang antara. Dia tidak bisa memilih apakah dia orang Timur atau Barat, Kanada atau India. Penelitian ini berfokus pada identitas kultural, suatu hal yang tidak dimiliki langsung sejak lahir. Identitas kultural selalu berproses. Penelitian ini disusun dengan menggunakan cara deskriptif dan penelitian kualitatif untuk mengartikan dan menganalisa yang berhubungan dengan isu postkolonial terutama dalam hal identitas. Sumber utama pengambilan data adalah informasi sumber data dan fakta tentang isu postkolonial melalui perwujudan watak dan peristiwa yang terpilih didalam Life of Pi yang berhubungan dengan identitas dan sumber lain seperti jurnal, thesis, internet, dan buku untuk membantu pengumpulan data. Tujuan dari penelitian ini antara lain untuk mengartikan konsep dari negara berbangsa di saat tidak adanya identitas yang pasti dan untuk mendapatkan pengertian bahwa tidak ada lagi yang lebih hebat antara Timur dan Barat semenjak Kanada sebagai tanah yang menjanjikan terpatahkan. Kata kunci: postkolonial Homi Bhabha, identitas budaya, Yann Martel. ABSTRACT Life of Pi is a novel written by Yann Martel. This novel tells a story of a young indian boy named Piscine Patel who lives "in-between". He does not choose whether he is east or west, Canada or India. This research is focused on cultural identity which is not something already exist. It is always on going process. This research is conducted by using qualitative research and descriptive way to interpret and analyze the data that relates with postcolonial issue especially in identity. The main source of the data is the fact and information about postcolonial issue through selected event and characterization in the Life of Pi which related on identity and other sources such as jurnal, thesis, internet, and the book to help collecting the data. The goals of this research are; to interpret the concepts of nation-state since there is no fixed identity and to get understanding that there is no more superior between West and East since Canada as the promising land is rejected. Abstract

Di tengah galaunya ekonomi Indonesia saat ini dan tingginya angka pengangguran karena PHK masal, mmahasiswa perlu disiapkan sebagai tenaga intelek dengan inovasinya untuk diarahkan menjadi ealon wirausahaiyang tangguh. Tujuan kegiatan Kuliah Kewirausahaan  (KWU) ini untuk meningkatkan   pemahaman  tentkewirausahaan  dikalangan  mahasiswa agar mampu menjadi wirausahawan  yang berwawasan jauh ke depan denberbasis ilmu yang diperolehnya.Program studi peserta sebagian besar dari Jurusan  Pendidikan Teknik Bangunan,  sedang dari jurusandibatasi masing-masing  2 orang setiap program studio Perkuliahan didesain sehingga mahasiswa dapat mengar teknik operasional  pembuatan  furniture  serat aspek bisnisnya.  Dalam  pendekatan  ini digunakan  variasi  metmengajar, yaitu eeramah, demonstrasi, tanya jawab, seminar, mengundang dosen tamu yang relevan dan kunjun lapangan.  Modul kuliah yang diberikan antara lain (I) Wawasan  Bisnis, (2) Akuntansi  Usaha  Keeil, (3) Stra pemasaran,  (4) Pengembangan  SDM, (5) Perilaku  Organisasi,  (6) Manajemen  Permodalan,  (7) Persaingan Strategi, (8) Sumber Dana Usaha Kecil, (9) Penyusunan Proposal Kredit, (10) Perencanaan Usaha.Dengan telah berhasilnya pelaksanaan  KWU ini merupakan suatu sumbangan  yang sangat berhargalembaga, dosen dan terutama bagi mahasiswa peserta mata kuliah Kewirausahaan yang masih awan terhadap dwirausaha.  Yang mereka tahu selama ini bahwa setelah  lulus nanti, akan bekerja sebagai  pegawai  negeri atasektor formal lainnya.  Dengan  adanya KWU ini rnata hati mahasiswa  menjadi terbuka  bahwa ternyata  disewiraswasta  lapangan kerja masih terbuka dan eukup menjanjikan. Berwirausaha dengan terlebih dahulu  memt Perencanaan  Usaha (Bisnis Pian) dapat meminimalkan  resiko,  mengontrol  jalannya usaha dan memaksimal keuntungan.  Indikator keberhasilan program ini antara lain (I) pembuatan modul kuliah tentang kewirausahaan kehadiran kuliah di atas 80% (3) Sebanyak 100% peserta siap menjadi wirausaha baru (WUB) ditandai dengan d membuat  reneana  usaha (Bisnis Pian) yang legis dan mendapat  masukan dari peserta seminar (4) Meningkat minat menjadi wirausahawan dari kalangan mahasiswa.

Abstract

This study aimed to: (1) describe the best practices on the implementation of character education in Vocational High School models through self-development program, and (2) describe the best practices on the implementation of character education in Vocational High School models through school culture. The study was conducted through case studies at SMK N 2 Depok Sleman, SMK N 2 Wonosari, and SMK N 1 Bantul. This study employed quantitative and qualitative approaches (mix-methods). The data was collected using questionnaires, interviews, participant observation, and documentation. The data was analysed using the descriptive technique, both quantitative and qualitative. The results showed: (1) The implementation of scouting activities at SMK 2 Wonosari was intensive and very effective in instilling or developing the students’ positive characters, (2) The role of school culture in the character education at SMK 2 Depok Sleman focused on seven-characters values (3) The implementation of the Honesty Canteen at SMK 1 Bantul was effective to develop the value of honesty among the students.

Abstract

The research focused on the implementation of Model Pembelajaran Instruction, Doing, and Evaluating (MPIDE) with instruction completed by physics phenomenon process picture in the learning physics. The purposes of this research were to describe student’s learning activities and achievement by using MPIDE with instruction completed by physics phenomenon process picture and to describe the best cycle by using MPIDE with instruction completed by physics phenomenon process picture. The type of this research was action research and the research design used was Kemmis & McTaggart cycle model. Technique to collect the data were test, observation, documentation, and interview. The data analysis used in order to answer the first research problem was the percentage and in order to answer the second research problem was used N-gain. The result showed that student’s learning activities increased. It can be seen that the average percentage first cycle to third cycle respectively 72.08% (active category), 83.23% (very active category), and 92.08% (very active category), unfortunately the improvement of student’s physics achievement fluctuated . It can be seen that Ng first cycle to third cycle respectively 0.7 (high category), 0.6 (medium category), 0.8 (high category), and the best cycle using MPIDE with instruction completed by physics phenomenon process picture was on the third cycle.

Abstract

An assignment on a review analysis in the form of a process picture of an environmental event on physics studies is a learning assignment which serve a problem in the form of a process picture on an environmental event which is connected to physics conception and must be finished by a student by analyzing the event using the logic and realitic physics cocepts. The objectives of this research are to describe the effective physics learning using an assignment of a review analysis in the form of a process picture on an environmental event, to study the students’ learning activenes, the students’ physics test results and the retention of the physics test results of the high school students after using this assignment of a review analysis in the form of a process picture on an environmental event. The type of this research is the actions research with a research design using hopkins cycle. The samples of this research are the students of classes X MIA 1, X MIA 4, and X MIA 5 of SMA Negeri Arjasa Kabupaten Jember of the academic year 2014/2015. The method of data collection includes documentation, tests, observation, and interview. The data analysis uses an effectivity test of physics learning, activeness percentage to study the students’ activeness during learning, t-test using t-test paired samples with the help of SPSS statistic v16. in order to study the learning results, a retention test to study the strength of the assignment on a review analysis in the form of a process picture of an environmental event on cycle III which is considered to be the most effective, the students’ learning activeness can be conidered highly active, especially the component of the students’ activeness in being attentive on the teacer’s explanation and group discussion, whereas the component of asking questions is considered less active. The students’ physics study results after learning using an assignment on a review analysis in the form of a process picture of an environmental event are higher than the students’ physics study results before learning with the analysis of t-test > ttable, retention of physics study results for the three classes on every cycle using the assignment on a review analysis in the form of a process picture of an environmental event is considered strong and more motivating for the students with the study result retention can show an improvement if being compared to the post test scores.
