Abstract

This research aims to (1) reveal the effect of problem based and expository learning towards physics’ learning outcomes, (2) uncover the effect of students’ science process skill towards physics’ learning outcomes, (3) reveal the interaction between students’ science process skill and their physics’ learning outcomes. This study is a quasi-experimental study applying factorial design 2 x 2. The study was conducted from November 2014 to May 2015.  The population of this research is the whole students of class VIII which comprises of 9 classes in MTS Negeri 1 Mataram. The purposive sampling was chosen as the sampling technique for this study, in which class VIII-8 acted as the experiment class and class VIII-7 as the controlled class. The data collection encompasses data of science process skill, and students’ physics’ learning outcomes (in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor domains) towards the main material of light. Technique of collecting data of science process and physics’ learning outcomes in affective and psychomotor domains were done by using observation sheet with certain criteria, while cognitive domain was done through the test.  The test instrument has previously been through validity test, reliability test, difficulty level, and discrimination index. The data obtained were firstly tested their normality and homogeneity, then continued by the testing of the hypothesis by using two-way analysis of variance (ANOVA). Data analysis technique was done by using ANOVA 2x2 with different cell. The result of this study shows that (1) problem based and expository learning affects physics’ learning outcomes, (2) students’ science process skill affects their physics’ learning outcomes, and (3) there is no interaction between science process skill and students’ learning outcomes.

Abstract

Susilawati et al., 2012. Agronomic Characteristics and Tolerance of Red Chili Varieties under Water Logging Stress during Generative Phases. JLSO 1(1):22-30.The research objective was  to evaluate the responses of growth and tolerance of red chilli under waterlogging stress during generative phases. Experiments were conducted in village   Alang-alang Lebar Palembang, South Sumatra, from April  to November 2010. Experimental design used was split plot with three replications. The main plot was waterlogging for 1, 2, 3 and 4 days. The subplot was  red chili varieties consisted of Kiyo F1, Bravo F1, Taro F1, Lembang 1, Laris, Riawan, Mario and Kusuma. The results showed that the maximum period of waterlogging  of Red chilli plants in the generative phase was three days. Increased duration of waterloggingduring the generative phase significantly decreased the ability of plants to survive, the number of live plants,  plant height and the number of branches. Based on the agronomic characteristics found in the study, the variety that is the most  tolerant to  waterlogging  during the generative phase was Kiyo F1.

Abstract

Waluyo, Alkasuma, Susilawati, Suparwoto. 2012 Spatial Inventory of Potential Competitiveness Swamp Land for Agricultural Development in South Sumatra. J. Lahan Suboptimal 1(1):64-71. Swampy marsh land has great competitive advantage for farmland development.The purposes of this study were 1)to identify the spread of potential swampy marsh land for food crops in major production centers; 2)to understand thecontent, quantity,and distribution of minerals essential for health in the low lands of South Sumatra. Data were collected through some surveys using transects (toposequen), including delineation of maps, flooding/ground water, state of the microrelief, soilbase material, land use, and land surface condition. Ground observations were based on the Soil Survey Manual. The results indicated that Sungai Pinang and Rantau Panjang has three types of swampy land, namely shallow swampy marsh, mid marsh low lands, and swamps in the low lands. Swampy marsh as the potential competitiveness for its antioxidant mineral deposit (Fe, Mn, Cu, Zn, and Se) can produce good functional food products such as Padi seputih, Pelita Rampak, Ketan Sinde, Padi Petek. These varieties have considerably high antioxidant mineral. Therefore, the use of swampyland must be directed. Shallow and intermediate wetlands can be used for rice, pulses and vegetables whereas deep wetlands are suitable for fishing.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the physical, mechanical and barrier properties of yam starch edible film. This research used Randomized Block Design (RAK).grouping the cultivar into 2, white and purple water yam. The starch concentration used were 1,33%, 2%, 2,67%, dan 3,33%.The results showed that the two cultivars produced similar properties of edible film.  The concentration of water yam starch affected transparency, thickness, water vapour transmision rate (WVTR) and compressive streght of edible film, but did not affect its solubility in water. The starch concentration of 2.67% was found to be the most appropriate concentration which produce edible film with thickness 0.12 to 0.13 mm, transparency 12.42 to 13.24%/mm, solubility 84.36 to 86.60%, water vapor transmission rate 1.16 x10-2 to 1.08 x10-2 g/sec/m2, and compressive strenght 48.10 to 49.35 N/m2Keywords:Edible Film, Water Yam, Cultivars, Starch concentration

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of VAK approach (Visualization, Auditory, Kinestetic) towards the result of learning physics of students at SMPN 10 Mataram. The kind of research used was experimental design with design of research was randomized posttest only control design. The sampling technique used was cluster random sampling. Population in this research was all the students from the eight grade at SMPN 10 Mataram, while the sample was 25 students of class VIII A as the experimental group and 27 students of class VIII B as the control group. The data obtained was analyzed by using t-test of two-tailed. t-count was 4.78 and t-table was 2.00 with significance level 0.05. Hence, t-table is smaller than t-count or t-count is bigger than t-table. It means that Null Hypothesis was rejected and Alternate Hypothesis was accepted. It means that the application of VAK Approach (Visualization, Auditory, Kinestetic) affects the results of learning physics of students.Keywords: VAK Approach

Abstract

A research measurement of spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) with a pulse NMR spectrometer as well as a test of strength (tensile test and compression test) polymer material PVC (Poly Vinyl Chloride) with tools united-1 test system SFM SFM-30. The study aims to investigate the influence of the neutron fluence on the spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) and to determine the PVC polymer material strength test. On the measurement of the spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) is used method pulse 180o-t-90o and pulse method 90o-t-90o, by means of NMR minispec P.20. Measurement of PVC polymer material strength testing using tools united-1 test system SFM SFM-30. The results showed that the spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) PVC polymer influenced by variations in relaxation times (fluence) neutrons. From the graph of the spin-lattice relaxation time (T1) vs. neutron fluence with the method 90o-t-90o obtained increases and decreases in the value of T1. The value of the spin-lattice relaxation time at the minimum fluence 34.56x1016n/cm2, and the average value of the minimum T1 is (271.1±5.4) for the milli second pulse method 180o-t-90o and the average value The minimum T1 is (263.5±5.3) for the milli second pulse method 90o-t-90o. The value of the spin-lattice relaxation time at the maximum fluence 60.98 x 1016 n/cm2, the average value of the minimum T1 was (481.9±10.1) milli second to the method also 180o-t-90o and the average value of T1 The minimum was (482.5±9.7) for the milli second pulse method 90o-t-90o. Test the strength of the PVC polymer is affected by the neutron fluence. Graph PVC polymer material strength test vs. neutron fluence obtained increases and decreases in the value of the strength of the PVC polymer. Value of the minimum strength of the PVC polymer materials at fluence 34.56 x 1016 n/cm2, the average value of the minimum σ is (9.5± 0.1) MPa for tensile test, and the average value is the minimum σ (38.4±0.1) MPa for compression test. Value of the maximum power of the PVC polymer materials at fluence 60.98x1016n/cm2, the average value of the maximum σ is (43.2±0.9) MPa for tensile test and the average value of the maximum σ is (55.4±1.1) MPa for compression test.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan melakukan survey lapangan terhadap pelaksanaan evaluasi pembelajaran berbasis tematik. Subjek penelitian ini menggunakan purposive sample yakni seluruh Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) Kabupaten Rejang Lebong yang terdiri dari 4 (empat) madrasah berstatus negeri dan 8 (delapan) madrasah berstatus swasta. Diketahui hasil penelitiannya RPP Tematik sudah berkategori "Baik", selanjutnya Pelaksanan RPP Tematiknya juga sudah pada kategori "Baik". Bentuk penilaian dan penilaian berbasis tematik pada K-13 belum memenuhi kriteria hanya terdapat 1 madrasah yang dapat menunjukkan dokumentasinya.

Abstract

Latar belakang: Personal hygiene merupakan salah satu kebutuhan dasar manusia yang harus mulai diterapkan anak sejak dini. Kemandirian personal hygiene anak dipengaruhi oleh pola asuh orangtua. Faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pola asuh diantaranya keterlibatan orang tua, stres orangtua, pengalaman, peran orang tua dan tipe pola asuh yang diterapkan. Metode: Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan rancangan penelitian descriptive korelasional menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan non Pobability sampling secara total sampling sebanyak 40 orang. Analisa data menggunakan uji statistik Kendall Tau. dan Regresi Linier Berganda. Hasil: Berdasarkan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa keterlibatan orangtua dalam pengasuhan kategori tinggi sebanyak 29 orang (72,5%), stres orangtua dalam pengasuhan kategori rendah sebanyak 28 orang (70,0%), kemandirian personal hygiene kategori mandiri sebanyak 29 orang (72,5%), pengalaman orang tua dalam pengasuhan kategori tinggi sebanyak 28 orang (70%), peran orang tua dalam pola asuh kategori tinggi sebanyak 23 orang (57%) dan tipe pola asuh yang diterapkan paling banyak adalah permisif sebanyak 18 orang (45%) Ada hubungan antara keterlibatan orang tua, stres orangtua, pengalaman, peran orang tua dan tipe pola asuh dengan kemandirian personal hygiene ditandai dengan nilai signifikan 0,000<0,05, dengan kemandirian personal hygiene anak prasekolah di TK Islam Pelangi Anak Pandeyan Umbulharjo Yogyakartadengan nilai value 0,000 (nilai p<0,05). Kesimpulan: faktor yang mempengaruhi pola asuh dalam kemandirian personal hygiene antara lain keterlibatan orang tua, stres orangtua, pengalaman, peran orang tua dan tipe pola asuh kemandirian Personal Hygiene anak prasekolah di TK Islam Pelangi Anak Pandeyan Umbulharjo Yogyakarta.   Kata kunci: keterlibatan orang tua, stres orangtua, pengalaman, peran orang tua dan tipe pola asuh, Kemandirian Personal Hygiene.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the level of misconceptions and the effect of 5e learning cycle model. This research was a pre-experimental with pre-test and post-test design. The research population was all of the eleven grade students of Senior High School 1 Mataram consisted of 8 classes. Sampling was done by cluster random sampling technique and obtained students of class XI MIPA 5. Students’ misconceptions have been identified by modification of Certainty of Response Index technique and remediated with 5e learning cycle model. The result of data analysis showed that students experience misconceptions with the various level that was high, medium, and low. The misconception of students before remediation was 44% in the concept of reflection and 34% in the concept of refraction, meanwhile, after remediation, the misconceptions on the concept of reflection was 6% and the concept of refraction was 9%. As a result, 5e learning cycle model could decrease the level of misconception. It showed that 5e learning cycle model was effective to decrease the level of misconception. From the paired sample t-test, it was found that tcount= 8,042 and ttable=2,045, because of tcount > ttable there was an effect of 5e learning cycle model on a misconception.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to create a product of LKPD listening to Lampung language news (Pungo Pandai) through the Discovery Learning approach and describe its feasibility in learning class XI. The method used was development model of Borg and Gall, by adapting seven of the ten steps needed in the research. The data were collected through observation, interviews, and questionnaires in three Senior High Schools in the 2018/2019 academic year. The result showed that (1) teaching material products of listening to the Lampung language news (Pungo Pandai) through the Discovery Learning approach for Senior High School/MA Class XI students had been successfully developed (2) the results of the overall teaching material feasibility research were declared “Very Worthy” by material experts at 82,5%, media experts at 83,33% and practitioner experts at 85,41 % and 88,5% evaluation experts.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa LKPD menyimak berita bahasa Lampung (Pungo Pandai) melalui pendekatan Discovery Learning dan mendeskripsikan kelayakannya untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas XI. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pengembangan menurut Borg dan Gall, dengan mengadaptasi tujuh dari sepuluh langkah yang disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan penelitian. Data diperoleh menggunakan observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan penyebaran angket pada tiga Sekolah Menengah Atas tahun pelajaran 2018/2019. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) telah berhasil dikembangkan produk bahan ajar berupa menyimak berita bahasa Lampung (Pungo Pandai) melalui pendekatan Discovery Learning untuk siswa SMA/MA Kelas XI, (2) hasil penelitian kelayakan bahan ajar secara keseluruhan dinyatakan “Sangat Layak” oleh ahli materi sebesar 82,5%, ahli media sebesar 83,33%, dan ahli praktisi sebesar 85,41% dan ahli evaluasi 88,5%.Kata kunci: Discovery learning, LKPD, menyimak berita bahasa Lampung.
