Abstract

In this paper we report students? reversible reasoning types on function composition problem. Reversible reasoning can be observed according to operation and structural correlation among input, process, and result.  There are seven students participate in doing function composition related to structural correlation in (f?g)(x)=h(x), The researchers assume that there are four types of reversible reasoning in composition problem, namely: (1) reversible on composition; (2) reversible on function; (3) reversible on substitution; (4) reversible on variables. However, there are only two appearing reversible reasoning, they are: reversible on function and reversible on substitution. Each type were selected a subject to be interviewed for 25 minutes and asked to do the Function Composition Task (FCT). Subject with reversible on function type identifies structural correlation among input, source and result as well as involving inverse in input with permissibility (f(y)) to produce basic function (f(x)). Meanwhile, subject with reversible on substitution type, constructs result based on the input, identifies structural similarity and generalizes from the structural similarity to produce basic function.

Abstract

The aim of this article is to identify the steps which were done by the students in solving Pythagoras? word problems. This study used qualitative research by using explorative descriptive approach. The subject of this study was four students who werein seventh grade of Junior High school of Muhammadiyah 1 Jember.  The subjects givenone problem in the form of story that had to be done based on their styles.  From the result analysis of the study was found that the students tried to understand the aim of the problems by using picture, compass direction, and Pythagoras? pattern. In solving Pythagoras? word problem, the students used representation of schematic visual. In making schematic picture, the students were supposedto be consistent with compass direction. The student that isconsistent with compass direction can make the schematic picture correctly and with a picture,the student can solve the word problems by using Pythagoras? pattern correctly. The student who is inconsistent with compass direction will get difficulties in making schematic picture and not be able to solve Pythagoras? word problems correctly.

Abstract

This research aims at describing students? statistical reasoning in graphics statistics representation related to distribution. The subjects of this research were students of semester IV of Program of Study Mathematics Education of Muhammadiyah University Ponorogo who have taken a basic statistics course. These subjects were chosen because they have taken a course related to descriptive statistics which discusses graphics representation and data distribution. The data collection technique used essay test related to graphics representation. In addition, an interview was also conducted to confirm students? answer. This research finding shows that statistical reasoning of semester IV students of Mathematics Education whose statistics ability is poor belong to pre-structural level and whose statistics ability is high belong to multi-structural and relational level. The high skilled students could conclude the data with statistical reason even though they used informal terms. Students with multi-structural and relational level regard that variety is a standard showing the numbers of different data among others, not on the different value from the average. Students with relational reasoning level were able to generate graphics concluding by connecting the central tendency and distribution scale.

Abstract

Abstract: Increased formula feeding was caused by lack of knowledge about the benefits of breastfeeding, low education, aggressive promotion of infant formula, and support from health care professionals. The are several cases where the infants given formula due to several conditions, like mother is unable to produce milk, small amount of milk production, absence of nipple appearance, post-op pain, pain during breastfeeding. The following study aims to determine what factors affecting Giving Infant Formula Milk Treated in Postpartum Room Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital Manado. This study is a descriptive design with direct interview approach. The population in this research were all treated in the maternal postpartum Prof. Dr. R. D. Kandou Hospital Manado. Conclusion: The results obtained from 50 respondents show that 66% has a good knowledge about the benefits of breastfeeding, 66% says that health care professional support given infant formula, 100% says that their closest relatives support given breastfeeding, 34% is affected the promotion of infant formula, and 34% are women without complaints of breastfeeding hindrance factor. This study recommends that mothers / parents cooperate with health care professionals cooperation in order to increase the success rate of breastfeeding.Keywords: infant formula, breastfeedingAbstrak: Meningkatnya pemberian susu formula disebabkan pengetahuan kurang mengenai manfaat ASI, pendidikan yang rendah, agresifnya promosi susu formula, dukungan petugas kesehatan. Adapun bayi yang diberikan susu formula karena beberapa kondisi ibu yang mengeluh tidak keluarnya ASI, ASI kurang, puting tidak muncul, sakit bekas operasi, nyeri saat menyusui. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Faktor-Faktor Apa yang mempengaruhi Pemberian Susu Formula pada Bayi yang Dirawat di Ruang Nifas RSUP Prof Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif dengan pendekatan wawancara langsung. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu melahirkan dirawat di ruang nifas RSUP Prof Dr. R. D. Kandou Manado. Kesimpulan: Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dari 50 responden diketahui bahwa 66% pengetahuan baik mengenai manfaat ASI, 66% petugas kesehatan mendukung pemberian susu formula, 100% orang terdekat mendukung pemberian ASI, 34% terpengaruh promosi susu formula, 34% kondisi ibu dengan tanpa keluhan. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan agar ibu/orang tua dengan petugas kesehatan adanya kerjasama dalam keberhasilan pemberian ASI.Kata kunci: susu formula, ASI

Abstract

Pembangunan pertanian pada dasarnya merupakan salah satu sistem pembangunan yang tidak kalah pentingnya dalam mendukung keberhasilan pembangunan nasional. Pembangunan sektor pertanian bertujuan untuk menumbuh kembangkan usaha pertanian di pedesaan yang akan memacu aktivitas ekonomi pedesaan, menciptakan lapangan pekerjaan dan meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat menumbuhkan industri hulu, hilir dan penunjang dalam meningkatkan daya saing dan nilai tambah suatu produk pertanian.   Tujuan penelitian ini untuk : (i) mengetahui besar pendapatan usahatani padi sawah di Desa Karawana Kecamatan Dolo Kabupaten Sigi, (ii) mengetahui kelayakan usahatani padi sawah di Desa Karawana Kecamatan Dolo Kabupaten Sigi. Penentuan responden dilakukan dengan sengaja (purposive), Jumlah petani responden (sampel) yang diambil dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 petani padi sawah. Analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitiaan ini adalah analisis pendapatan dan analisisis kelayakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pendapatan usahatani padi sawah di Desa Karawana Kecamatan Dolo Kabupaten Sigi sebesar Rp 5.724.552/Ha. Usahatani padi sawah di Desa Karawana Kecamatan Dolo Kabupaten Sigi layak diusahakan dengan nilai R/C 2,63 yang artinya bahwa setiap pengeluaran sebesar Rp 1.000,- akan menghasilkan penerimaan sebesar Rp 2.630,-.

Abstract

This study aims to(1) determinethe items quality of odd semesterfinal examin social class XII mathematics subject academic year 2014/2015 in terms of validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and distinguishing power, (2) createa program shape for calculating validity, reliability, level of difficulty and distinguishing power. The researchused quantitative descriptive method and documentation technique. The datas consisted of 128 students’ answer sheetsin social class XII academic year 2014/2015. The datas were analyzed by using several formulas of validity, reliability, level of difficulty, distinguishing powerand the use of IBM SPSS Statistics22 software and anates V4 software. The results showed that 22 questions (55%) were valid and 18 questions (45%) were invalid. The reliability of items was quite good where the reliability coefficient value > rtabel was 0.558 based on three formulas which were Anova Hoyt, Cronbach alpha and IBM SPSS Statistics 22. The difficulty level of items was not good because the items balances including easy, medium and difficult were not proportional, the proportional balance was 3-5-2 or 3-4-3. The distinguishing power of items showed that 1 item (2.50%) was very good, 9 items (22.50%) were good, 10 items (25%) were moderate, 14 items (35%) were less good and 6 items (15%) were bad. In addition to the above results, this study also resulted a program shape to facilitate the calculation of item analysis. The program calculations are the validity index analysis, reliability, level of difficulty and distinguishing power of test instrument.

Abstract

Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dapat meningkat apabila siswa melakukan penalaran analogi dengan benar. Penalaran analogi terdiri dari empat komponen proses yaitu 1. identifikasi masalah sumber, 2. pemahaman struktur masalah sumber, 3. identifikasi kesesuaian struktural antara masalah target dengan masalah sumber, dan 4. adaptasi struktur masalah sumber untuk pemecahan masalah target. Kesalahan penalaran analogi banyak terjadi pada komponen kedua, ketiga dan keempat. Pada komponen kedua, siswa tidak dapat menentukan struktur masalah sumber dengan benar. Pada komponen ketiga, siswa tidak dapat menemukan kesesuaian antara struktur masalah sumber dengan struktur masalah target dan hanya fokus pada kemiripan permukaan (surface similarity) antara masalah sumber dengan masalah target. Pada komponen keempat, siswa melakukan kesalahan karena menggunakan kemiripan permukaan (surface similarity) untuk memecahkan masalah target.

Abstract

This purpose of this research is to describe the process and the learning implementation on 2013 curriculum, social arithmetic lesson using contextual approach. The research used was descriptive qualitative research that had been done at Seventh grade students of SMPN 13 Banjarmasin. This research used contextual approach that had been designed on lesson plan and used student worksheet that had been arranged and was based on contextual approach. The result of this research showed that learning mathematic lesson social arithmetic with contextual approach which consist of seven components that are able to make students involve actively in teaching and learning process. This could be a guidance of one of alternative ways in learning mathematic activity by using contextual approach on junior high school in 2013 curriculum.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan hasil implementasi desain pembelajaran pada kurikulum 2013 materi aritmetika sosial menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif yang dilaksanakan di SMPN 13 Banjarmasin. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII-B SMPN 13 Banjarmasin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual yang dirancang pada rencana pembelajaran dan menggunakan LKS yang telah disusun berdasarkan pendekatan kontekstual. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran matematika materi aritmetika sosial dengan pendekatan kontekstual yang memuat 7 komponen didalamnya mampu membuat siswa terlibat aktif dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar di kelas. Hal ini bisa dijadikan pedoman sebagai salah satu alternatif dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual di SMP pada kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

Mathematical connection is an interconnection among concepts in a similar topic and an interconnection among materials in a particular topic with other topic in mathematics. When students can connect mathematical ideas, their understanding is deeper and more lasting. This research studies about the structure of mathematical connection of the students with a high mathematical abilities in solving problem on Linear Equation System Two Variable (LESTV) by giving individual worksheet and interviewing one subject with a high mathematical abilities. The structure of mathematical connection is studied by linking the indicators of mathematical connection that are: (1) recognizing and utilizing the relationship between mathematical ideas, and (2) understanding how the mathematical ideas are connected and built each other resulting the ideas thoroughly and coherently.Koneksi matematis adalah hubungan antar konsep dalam satu topik yang sama, serta hubungan antar materi dalam matematika. Jika siswa dapat membuat banyak koneksi matematis, maka pembelajaran akan bermakna dan optimal. Penelitian ini mengkaji struktur koneksi matematis siswa berkemampuan matematis tinggi dalam menyelesaikan soal SPLDV dengan memberikan lembar tugas individu dan melakukan wawancara kepada satu subjek yang memiliki kemampuan matematis tinggi. Hasil tes dianalisis menggunakan indikator koneksi matematis (1) mengenal dan menggunakan hubungan diantara ide-ide matematis, (2) memahami bagaimana ide matematis saling berhubungan dan membangun satu sama lain untuk menghasilkan keseluruhan yang koheren.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe Think Pair Share (TPS) learning, which can improve students ability in mathematic story problems probability material. According to the purpose of the research, the type of the research is descriptive qualitative. The subjects of the research is 30 students of SMK Telkom Malang. The learning phases in this research is (1) Think, (2) Pair, (3) Share. Student’s ability to solve story problems include (1) understanding the problem, (2) change the problem to mathematic model form, (3) making solution, (4) write the final answer accurately. The results of the research is the level of students have the ability to solve mathematic story problem at probability material is 80%.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pembelajaran Think Pair Share (TPS) yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika pada materi peluang.Berdasarkan tujuan penelitian tersebut maka jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Adapun subyek penelitiannya adalah siswa SMK Malang dengan banyak siswa 30 orang. Tahap pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini adalah (1) Think, (2) Pair, (3) Share. Kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita meliputi (1) memahami soal, (2) mengubah soal ke bentuk model matematika, (3) membuat penyelesaian, (4) menulis jawaban akhir dengan tepat. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika pada materi Peluang adalah sebesar 80%.
