Abstract

This research had been conducted at Jatipuro, Sub District of Karanganyar from July until September, 2007. The aims of this research are to know degree of erosion danger and to map that degree of erosion danger. This research was descriptive-explorative by field’s survey and laboratory analysis. Soil sampling technique using purposive sampling method. Site sampling determined with land mapping unit. Analysis of erosion level using USLE method, even though to know degree of erosion dangerous used the table of relation soil depth with erosion level. To make the map degree of erosion dangerous with Arc view GIS 3.3 software. The result of this research conclude that Jatipuro, Sub District of Karanganyar can be classified into 4 erosion dangerous class, with position and width area such that very light in 6th land mapping unit with width area 8.53 ha or 1.17% from total wide of research area. Light, in 1st, 4th, 7th, 12tnd and 16th land mapping units with width area 245.36 ha or 33.72% from total wide of research area. Middle class, in 2nd, 8th, 9th, 10th, 14th, 15th, 17th and 18th land mapping units with width area 181.59 ha or 24.95% from total wide area. Heavy class, in 3rd, 5th, 11th, 13th, 19th, 20th, 21st and 22nd land mapping units with width area 292.18 ha or 40.15% from total wide area. The management of conservation in the land with degree of erosion danger very light until light is low tillage applications, which this purpose is to create soil condition that supported growth of root, but also must be understood the result of tillage, which can be broken soil structures. For the lands with degree of erosion danger middle until heavy, the better conservation is needed. These lands needed terrace’s repairing, there are making bench terrace with middle construction for the middle class and more better terrace for the heavy one. For the best result to minimalist erosion level in this location, in terrace’s making also needed vegetative conservation, there is strip grass to strength the terrace, and also mulching. Abstract

Title : The Effect of Plant Spacing and ZA Fertilizer to Availability and Uptake of N, S with Groundnut  (Arachis Hypogaea L.) Indicator on Alfisols. The aim of this research is to know the effect of ZA fertilizer and plant spacing to the availability and uptake of Nitrogen and Sulfur. This research have been done at Jumantono field, Sukosari, Jumantono, Karanganyar, started from December 2006 until January 2007. This research used factorial experiment that arranged in Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two experimental factors. The first factor was 4 levels of ZA fertilizer dosage i.e : 0 kg/ha (Z0), 50 kg/ha (Z1), 100 kg/ha (Z2) and 150 kg/ha (Z3). And second factor was 3 levels of plant spacing i.e : 20 x 20 cm (J1), 30 x15 cm (J3) and 25 x 20 cm (J3). Observation variables include soil variable ( N of soil, available S and pH H2O) and plant variable (N uptake, S uptake, and weight of dry straw). Data analysis used F test, Kruskal-Wallis test, Duncan’s Multiple Range (DMR) test at 5% in level, Mood Median test and Correlation test.Result of this research shows that ZA fertilizer and plant spacing can increase the available sulfur on soil and uptake of N. The highest available S neach 100 kg ZA/ha and 30 x 15 cm plant spacing (0,0277me/100 g),.and the highest average of N uptake is on without ZA and 30 x 15 cm plant spacing (0,623g). ZA fertilizer added and plant spacing has no significantly effect to  available N, S uptake, weight of dry straw and pH H2O.

Abstract

Lokasi penelitian terletak di Desa Geneng Duwur, Kecamatan Gemolong, Kabupaten Sragen, Jawa Tengah dengan jenis tanah Litosol. Lokasi penelitian terletak antara 7º23’10” LS sampai 7º23’17” LS dan 110º50’28” BT sampai 110º50’24” BT dengan ketinggian tempat antara 150 mdpl sampai 155 mdpl. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Februari 2010 sampai dengan November 2010. Tujuan penelitian : (1) Mengetahui pengaruh sistem tumpangsari yang diintegrasikan dengan ternak terhadap sifat fisik tanah; (2) Mengetahui pengaruh sistem tumpangsari yang diintegrasikan dengan ternak terhadap sifat kimia tanah. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap yang terdiri dari 2 faktor, yaitu : faktor 1 : integrasi ternak sapi yang terdiri dari 4 taraf (I0 = tanpa integrasi ternak sapi (0 tahun); I1 = integrasi ternak sapi 1 tahun; I2 = integrasi ternak sapi 2 tahun; I3 = integrasi ternak sapi 3 tahun) dan faktor 2 : sistem tanam yang terdiri dari 3 taraf (K = sistem tanam monokultur dengan tanaman kacang tanah; J = sistem tanam monokultur dengan tanaman jagung; KJ = sistem tanam tumpangsari tanaman kacang tanah dengan jagung). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : (1) Sistem tumpangsari tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap perbaikan sifat fisik tanah yang meliputi : berat jenis tanah, berat volume tanah, kapasitas lapang , porositas; integrasi ternak berpengaruh nyata terhadap perbaikan sifat fisik tanah yang meliputi : berat jenis tanah, berat volume tanah, kapasitas lapang , dan porositas tanah; (2) Sistem tumpangsari tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap perbaikan sifat kimia tanah yang meliputi : bahan organik tanah, N total tanah dan pH tanah; integrasi ternak berpengaruh nyata terhadap perbaikan sifat kimia tanah yang meliputi bahan organik tanah, N total tanah dan pH tanah.

The Balance of N, P, and Manure Fertilizer Dosage on Growth and Yield of Peanuts in Alfisols Dryland

Abstract

Peanuts cultivation in alfisols dryland limited by low levels of soil fertility. An agricultural intensification that could be done is application of organic and inorganic fertilizer. This research aimed to study the balance of N, P, and manure fertilizer dosage on growth and yield of peanuts in alfisols dryland. The research was done in April 2014 - September 2014 in Sukosari, Jumantono, Karanganyar. This research was compiled using a Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) factorial with three factors, there are dose of urea, SP-36 and cow manure fertilizer. The results showed that the dose combinations of urea, SP-36, and cow manure fertilizer have no interaction affected all of variable plant. The application of 300 kg ha-1 SP-36 fertilizer increased the number of pods and weight of pods, while the weight of 1000 seeds was improved by application of 150 kg ha-1 urea fertilizer.
