PENERAPAN TEKNIK TRANSFORMASI LAGU UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KETERAMPILAN MENULIS CERPEN SISWA SMA

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research are: (1) to improve learning process quality of short story writing by using song transformation technique; (2) to improve short story writing ability by using song transformation technique. This method used in this research is classroom action research (CAR) which conducted in two cycles.Eeach cycle consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this research is  the students of class X-10 in SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo which consists of 38 students. The source of the data came fom place and events, teacher and students, and documents. For the data validity, the techniques which were used are data source triangulation and method triangulation..The conclusion of this research is. First, there was an improvement in the learning process quality of short story writing by using song transformation technique which was indicated with: (a) the improvement of students’ activeness in their response toward the apperception which was given by the teacher; (b) the improvement of students’ activeness by paying attention to the teacher’s explanation about the material; (c) the improvement of students’ interest and motivation in the teaching-learning activities; (d) the improvement of students’ activeness in discussion activities; (e) the improvement of having responsibility to their assignments. Secondly, there was an improvement in short story writing ability by using song transformation technique. Keywords: song transformation technique, learning, writing, short story, quality Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk : (1)  meningkatkan kualitas proses pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek dengan menggunakan teknik transformasi lagu, dan (2) meningkatkan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek dengan menggunakan teknik transformasi lagu. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri atas  perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-10 SMA Negeri 3 Sukoharjo yang terdiri atas 38 siswa. Sumber data penelitian ini berasal dari tempat dan acara, guru dan siswa, dan dokumen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan penugasan. Teknik validitas data  yang digunakan adalah triangulasi sumber data dan triangulasi metode. Simpulan penelitian ini sebagai berikut.  Pertama, ada peningkatan kualitas proses pembelajaran menulis cerita pendek dengan menggunakan teknik transformasi lagu yang ditunjukkan dengan adanya : (a) peningkatan keaktifan siswa dalam merespon selama apersepsi yang diberikan oleh guru, (b) peningkatan keaktifan siswa dalam memerhatikan penjelasan guru, (c) peningkatan minat dan motivasi siswa selama kegiatan belajar-mengajar, (d) peningkatan keaktifan siswa selama kegiatan diskusi, dan (e) peningkatan rasa memiliki dan tanggung jawab siswa terhadap tugas-tugas mereka. Kedua, ada peningkatan kemampuan menulis cerita pendek dengan menggunakan teknik transformasi lagu.   Kata  kunci: transformasi lagu, pembelajaran, menulis, cerpen, kualitas

Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this research is to describe: (1) dramatic elements that build up the film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan, (2) the educational value contained in the film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan, and (3) relevance of the film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan is as a medium of Indonesian literature learning in junior high school. The study method used is qualitatively descriptive. By analyzing data can be concluded that: (1) film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan has a good story idea, using a title that is striking statement, having the theme of a persons hard work and struggling to get an education, built on an interesting plot, characters of the stories depicted in several ways and takes place only in one place, namely in Papua (2) the value of education in the film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan, includes: (a) the religious values ​​surrendered to God, patience of facing of temptation, and always remember God; (b) the moral values ​​that teach to reach the dream, not to give up easily, to love parents, and to be virtuous; (c) the social value of life that teaches the importance of groups in society; (d) the cultural values that teach cultural treat such as to uphold the prevailing culture, and (e) the aesthetics that tech values to appreciate the exotic beauty of a different side of Papua, (3) film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan by John De Rantau can be used as a medium of literature learning in junior high school because it is based to the criteria of good instructional media and value education. The results of this study is expected to be used as a reference for educators in use the appropriate learning media to pay attention to the instructional goals and student characteristics.   Keywords: literature, drama, learning media, the educational values,character Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) unsur dramatis yang membangun film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan, (2) nilai pendidikan yang terkandung dalam film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan, dan (3) relevansi film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan sebagai media pembelajaran sastra Indonesia di SMP. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan memiliki ide cerita yang bagus, menggunakan judul yang bersifat striking statement, memiliki tema sebuah kerja keras dan perjuangan seseorang untuk mendapatkan pendidikan, dibangun di atas alur yang menarik, dan tokoh-tokohnya digambarkan dengan beberapa cara dan mengambil latar hanya di satu tempat yaitu di Papua; (2) nilai pendidikan dalam film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan, meliputi: (a) nilai religius yang mengajarkan berserah diri kepada Tuhan, sabar dalam menghadapi cobaan, dan senantiasa mengingat Tuhan; (b) nilai moral yang mengajarkan semangat dalam mencapai cita-cita, tidak mudah menyerah, berbakti kepada orang tua, berbudi baik; (c) nilai sosial mengajarkan pentingnya kehidupan berkelompok dalam masyarakat; (d) nilai budaya yang mengajarkan sifat berbudaya seperti menjunjung budaya baik yang berlaku; dan (e) nilai estetis yang mengajarkan untuk menghargai keindahan dari sisi yang berbeda dari Papua; (3) film Denias: Senandung di Atas Awan karya John De Rantau merupakan film yang menarik untuk dijadikan media pembelajaran karena sesuai dengan kriteria media pembelajaran yang baik dan bernilai pendidikan. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai acuan bagi pendidik dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran yang tepat untuk memperhatikan tujuan pembelajaran dan karakteristik siswa. Abstract

This study aims to: (1) analyze moral education needs, (2) analyze children’s stories as learning materials, and (3) design a moral education model. This was a research and development study. The subjects were Grade V students of the elementary school and the sample was randomly selected. The data sources included places and events, informants,children’s stories, and documents. The findings are as follows. It can be identified that: (a) the school has not formulated its vision and missions in the work plan; (b) the learning process in the classroom has not run well; and (c) the students’ characters are influenced by example, model, habituation, information media, environmental conditions, andregulations. Children’s stories as learning materials are arranged in the following order: (a) learning process guidelines, (b) competency attainment, (c) contents of learning materials, (d) information of values, and (e) questions to develop students’ cognitive, psychomotor,and affective aspects. The model includes: (a) inserting values into lesson plans, (b) conditioning value learning, (c) internalizing values, and (d) developing inculcated values implanted through habituation in relevant subjects.

Abstract

Karya sastra memiliki nilai-nilai penting yang dapat diterapkan dalam kehidupan salah satunya novel berbahasa Jawa. Oleh karena itu, peneliti ingin meneliti novel Gedhong Setan karya Suparto Brata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan: (1) Unsur struktural yang membangun novel, baik unsur intrinsik dan unsur ekstrinsik; (2) Nilai pendidikan yang terdapat dalam novel; dan (3) Relevansi novel sebagai materi pembelajaran novel berbahasa Jawa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif deskriptif dengan pendekatan struktural. Data yang diperoleh berasal dari novel, wawancara dengan ahli sastra, guru bahasa Jawa, dan siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan analisis sumber tertulis atau dokumen dan wawancara. Uji validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teori. Teknik analisis data menggunakan teknik analisis jalinan, yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, penarikan simpulan. Simpulan penelitian ini; (1) Novel Gedhong Setan karya Suparto Brata memiliki unsur intrinsik meliputi tema, tokoh dan penokohan, alur, latar, bahasa, dan sudut pandang; sedangkan unsur ekstrinsik meliputi situasi sosial politik, ekonomi, dan budaya; sistem pengarang dan kepengarangan; sistem penerbit dan penerbitan; serta sistem pembaca; (2) Nilai-nilai pendidikan yang terdapat di dalam novel, yaitu: nilai keagamaan, nilai kesusilaan (moral), nilai sosial, dan nilai kultural; dan (3) Novel tersebut sangat relevan sebagai materi ajar dalam pembelajaran novel berbahasa Jawa di SMA. Kata kunci:pendekatan struktural, novel, nilai pendidikan, materi pembelajaran

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe: (1) preparation of teachers in teaching writing scientific paper, (2) implementation of learning writing scientific paper, (3) learning  writing scientific paper, and (4) barriers and solutions in learning writing scientific paper. The research methods used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Techniques of data collection are conducted by interview, observation and document analysis. The sampling technique is done by using purposive sampling. Data validation techniques used are the triangulation of data, triangulation methods, and review of informants. The results show that: (1) teachers have made good preparation for their teaching such as preparing syllabi, lesson plans, media, teaching materials, and evaluation systems (2) implementation of learning writing scientific paper ran well. This is indicated by: (a) teachers apply a variety of approaches, methods, and techniques; (b) classroom interaction is active, communicative, and productive, (c) classroom-based assessment is used for assessment of process and product that include aspects of cognitive, affective, and psycho-motor; (3) students competence in writing is good enough. It can be seen from their average score i.e. 7.0. Most of students scientific paper  come from direct observation of the field, and the rest comes from book sources; (4) Problems faced in the classroom can be solved by continuous treatments.

Abstract

This research aims at describing: (1) the carrying out of literacy teachinglearning; (2) the quality of literacy teaching learning; (3) the obstacles in literacyteaching learning; and (4) the efforts of solving the problems in literacy teachinglearning. The method used is qualitative descriptive method. The sources of data includeplaces and events, informants, and documents. The data collecting technique was conductedthrough observation, interview, and document analysis. Data triangulation,method triangulation, and reviewing informant were used in data validity test. Dataanalysis technique applied interactive analysis model. The research result showed that:(1) learning literacy was conducted through three steps namely planning, implementing,and evaluating; (2) most students achieved the criteria of minimum mastery score, 7.5.Students daily mean score in reading and writing was 7.5.; (3) the obstacles faced inlearning literacy are (a) teacher and students got difficulties in developing writingactivities; (b) school program of reading and writing fondness didnt run well, (c) media,teaching infrastructure havent been optimally provided. (4) there were some ways toovercome the problems: (a) giving more assignments on writing especially uprightcontinual handwriting, (b) giving more assignments on reading by providing more booksat school, (c) providing sufficient infrastructure at schools.

Abstract

This research aims at improving the quality of poetry writing learning process by synectics approach. It is a Classroom Action Research. The subject is the students of X8 grade SMA Negeri 3 Salatiga which consists of 25 students. The teacher played a role as learning facilitator and the researcher as passive participant. Techniques of collecting data were done through observation, test, interview, and document analysis. This Classroom Action Research consists of three cycles. Each cycle consists of 4 steps i.e. plan, action, observation and interpretation, and analysis and reflection. The result of the research showed that learning through synectics approach could improve the poetry writing learning process. This improvement was reflected on: (1) the improvement of students activity during apperception process, cycle I 40%, cycle II     68 %, and cycle III 72%; (2) the improvement of students activity during teaching learning process, cycle I 66%, cycle II 76%, cycle III 88%; the improvement of students activity in answering the questions in spoken or written, cycle I 53%, cycle II 72%, and cycle III 88%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the values of character education to develop teaching and learning materials for Drama course. It is a qualitative descriptive study by using Research and Development design. The data were obtained from the play entitled Panembahan Reso¸ written by W.S. Rendra by looking at the settings, the characters, the plots and some relevant documents. The technique used to collect the data was by document analysis technique. The results of the data analysis using interactive data analysis indicate that the values of character education are reflected throught the characters and their characterization; the values represented include the attitudes of being religious, hard working, peaceful, democratics, caring, fond of reading, responsible, having national spirit and excellence recognition. Permalink/DOI: dx.doi.org/10.17977/um015v44i22016p207
