Abstract

Implementation of Asphalt Concrete work , in addition to the material that should be qualified , temperature is also a very important thing , either mixing temperature and compaction temperatures . According to Anonymous (1989 : 14 ) , the solidification temperature ranged between 90oC to 110oC , while the mixing temperature is 1600C . In this study analyzed against ter - mix asphalt concrete with a characteristic temperature variation does mixing of 1500C ; 1600C ; 1700C and 1800C , where the temperature compaction performed at 900C minimum compaction conditions . The purpose of this study is to look at the value of stability and other parameters on the value of the temperature variation with temperature of the mixture using a minimum compaction of asphalt material Retona Blend 55 so that the resulting parameters meet the requirements . This study begins with an examination of the material that covers the aggregate , asphalt and gradation Retona Blend 55 . Furthermore, the specimen was made by 15 specimen with 5 variations bitumen content of 4.5 % , 5 % , 5.5 % , 6 % , and 6.5 % made 3 pieces of samples for each bitumen content . OBC value obtained was 5.3 %. Based on the OBC Marshall test again with a mixture of temperature variations in a total of 12 test specimens . Marshall stability values obtained showed a decrease of requirements ( 1000 kg ) . the mixing temperature 150oC , 160oC , 170oC , and 180oC and at a temperature of 90oC solidification sequence is 454.77 kg ( 54.52 % ) , 502.92 kg ( 49.71 % ) , 598.53 kg ( 40.15 % ) , and 586.44 kg ( 41.36 % ) . The highest Marshall stability value of 598.53 kg obtained at mixing temperature of 170oC , but can not achieve the required stability which is 1000 kg . The results showed that the stability of the compaction temperature on the minimum condition can not be used to Laston AC - BC

Abstract

On-street parking leads to reduced road capacity and decreased traffic performance of the certain road. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate the feasibility of on-street parking based on road performance. The study was conducted at Central Business District namely Peunayong, Banda Aceh. Based on the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (IHCM) one of the performance parameter values is Degree of Saturation (DS). The data needed for calculation of DS are the geometric conditions, traffic volume and the side frictions. The results indicate that on-street parking facilities on segment 2 of Khairil Anwar Street should be evaluated, as the DS value is greater than 0.75 (unstable road condition), by changing parking patterns into a parallel configuration or eliminating parking facilities. Furthermore, the parking configuration of R.A. Kartini Street also needs to be rearranged. Despite the stable road performance, this road is uncomfortable to pass because there is only one lane remained due to unfeasible parking patterns and existence of street market along the segment. The road performance of Khairil Anwar Street (segment 1), Ahmad Yani Street, W.R Supratman Street, T.P. Polem Street, Twk. Daudsyah Street and Ratu Safiatuddin Street is in stable condition, with DS < 0.75. This indicating that on-street parking facilities can be maintained. While as for the W.R. Supratman and Ahmad Yani Street should be evaluated in year of 2019 to avoid traffic jam along this corridors.

Abstract

The supply of stone dust as filler and asphalt as binder is limited, therefore it is necessary to use an alternative to filler and asphalt import. The problem is expected to be overcome by the presence of rice husk ash as a filler and natural asphalt of Buton Island (Asbuton) as a binder. This study aims to evaluate the performance of Asphalt Concrete-Wearing Course (AC-WC) mixture by using rice husk ash as a filler and asphalt penetration 60/70 as binder with the addition of Asbuton. The specimens were made into two major groups: (i) the specimens using stone dust and asphalt pen 60/70 (ABA), and (ii) the specimens using rice husk ash and asphalt pen 60/70 with the addition of asbuton (ASA). The last group was performed with four variations: 0% (ASA 0), 5% (ASA 5), 10% (ASA 10), and 15% (ASA 15) over the total weight of the mixture. Total specimens were 75, each has 15 specimens. Asphalt contents used were 4.5% to 6.5%. Specifications used the standards of the Departemen Permukiman dan Prasarana Wilayah (2005) by using Marshall method Optimum asphalt contents (OAC) for each mixture were 5.6% (ABA), 6.0% (ASA 0), 6.3% (ASA 5), 5.9% (ASA 10), and 5.8% (ASA 15). In sum, the asphalt concrete mixture using rice husk ash as filler was able to compete with the one using stone dust as filler, and therefore can be used as alternative materials to road pavement construction.

Abstract

Abstract : Transportation or transport can be defined as a process of movement or displacement of people/goods from one place to another with the intent and purpose, including for education. To fulfill the need of education there is a movement to reach the school or campus based on the level of satisfaction offered by each transportation modes. This study aimed to analyze the characteristics of users, the characteristics of the movement, and the characteristics of the students’ mode of transport facilities to campus between motor cycles and public transport. This research is located at University of Syiah Kuala in Darussalam, Banda Aceh. The method used was interview by distributing questionnaires to students. Data analysis used is descriptive statistics with SPSS.Results from 285  questionnaires, 83% chose motorcycles for their transportation mode to campus, 17% chose public transport. The numbers of students who use motorcycle are 237 students (83% of all respondents), there were 74%  already have SIM C and 25% of them do not have it. Based on the amount of allowances, there were 86% having up Rp. 500.000 and 14% of them having less than Rp. 500,000. Based on the distribution, the student having allowance up Rp.500,000, 72% of them select motorcycles, while the students who choose labi-labi with an allowance of up to Rp.500,000 had the least percentage of 3%.Keywords : students, motorcycles, public transportAbstrak : Transportasi atau pengangkutan dapat di definisikan sebagai suatu proses pergerakan atau perpindahan orang/barang dari suatu tempat ke tempat lain dengan maksud dan tujuan tertentu termasuk dalam hal pendidikan. Dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan akan pendidikanterjadilah suatu pergerakan untuk mencapai sekolah atau kampus berdasarkan tingkat kepuasan yang ditawarkan tiap moda angkutan. Studi ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik pengguna, karakteristik pergerakan, dan karakteristik fasilitas moda angkutan mahasiswa menuju kampus antara sepeda motor dan angkutan umum. Lokasi penelitian yaitu Universitas Syiah Kuala yang terletak di kawasan Darussalam, Banda Aceh. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode wawancara dalam bentuk kuisioner yang disebarkan kepada mahasiswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dengan bantuan software SPSS. Hasil data kuesioner terhadap 285 sampel diperoleh mahasiswa yang memilih sepeda motor sebesar 83% dan 17% yang memilih angkutan umum. Jumlah mahasiswa yang menggunakan sepeda motor yaitu 237 pelajar (83%) didapat sebanyak 74% mahasiswa sudah memiliki SIM C dan 25% mahasiswa tidak memiliki SIM C. Berdasarkan besarnya uang saku, mahasiswa dengan uang saku > Rp 500.000 sebanyak 86% dan 14% untuk mahasiswa yang memiliki uang saku sampai dengan Rp 500.000. Berdasarkan pendistribusian diketahui mayoritas mahasiswa dengan uang saku > Rp 500.000 memilih sepeda motor sebesar 72%, sedangkan mahasiswa yang memilih labi-labi dengan uang saku sampai dengan Rp 500.000 memiliki persentase terkecil yaitu 3%.Kata kunci : mahasiswa, sepeda motor, angkutan umum
