Abstract

The aims of service are: (1) describe the implementation of workshop activities and mentoring the implementation of classroom action research (CAR) in sustainable professional development for elementary school teachers, (2) improve the understanding and skills of CAR in Sustainable Professional Development for elementary School Teachers.This Community Service activity uses the transfer of science and technology from universities to stakeholders which includes workshops and mentoring to elementary school teachers in Kebumen district in 2018. The data analysis used is descriptive-qualitative which includes (1) data reduction, (2 ) data presentation, and (3) drawing conclusions or verification of data.The results of this activity are (1) workshop materials and mentoring include: (a) problem formulation techniques in CAR, (b) CAR proposal preparation techniques, (c) CAR implementation techniques, (d) CAR reporting techniques, (e) scientific publication writing techniques, and (f) teacher functional credit score promotion techniques. (2) Workshops and mentoring methods can improve CAR understanding and skills in sustainable professional development for elementary School Teachers

Abstract

The study have been conducted to recognize the effect of Science learning based on experiment to improve learning motivation and science process skills (SPS) of PGSD students viewed from school background in light concept and optical instruments. Subject of this research was PGSD students in 3rd semester on 2016/2017 Academic Year which consists of class A and B. The technic of sampling used saturated sampling. The instruments of study were science process skills paper  test and paper of learning motivation questionnaire. The hypotheses were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis test. The results of study show that: 1) Science learning with experiment based affected on science process skills and learning motivation of students; 2) there is influence school background toward science process skills and learning motivation of students; 3) Science learning with experiment based and school background have interaction with science process skills and learning motivation of students; 4) Development of science process skills and learning motivation of students have background from Vocational High School (SMK) are better than students have background from Science (IPA) and Social Program of Senior High School (IPS).

Abstract

Abstrak: Peningkatan Keterampilan Berpikir Kritis Melalui Model Pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) pada Pembelajaran IPA tentang Gaya Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 1 Gebangsari Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017.  Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu: (1) mendeskripsikan penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dalam peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis, (2) meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, (3) meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA. Penelitian menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V dengan jumlah 21. Validasi data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL) dilakukan dengan langkah-langkah: (a) mengidentifikasi pokok permasalahan, (b) membuat perencanaan pemecahan masalah, (c) melaksanakan penyelidikan untuk memecahkan masalah, (d) melaporkan hasil penyelidikan, (e) menganalisis proses pemecahan masalah, (2) penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning (PBL)  dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa, (3) penerapan model pembelajaran Problem Based Learning dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA. Kata Kunci: Problem Based Learning (PBL), berpikir kritis,hasil belajar, IPA

Abstract

Abstrak: Penerapan Model Inkuiri Terbimbing dengan Media Konkret dalam Peningkatan Keterampilan Proses Dasar IPA tentang Cahaya pada Siswa Kelas V SD Negeri 7 Kutosari Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu meningkatkan keterampilan proses dasar dan hasil belajar IPA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian, yaitu observasi, wawancara, dan tes. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model inkuiri terbimbing dengan media konkret dapat meningkatkan keterampilan proses dasar dan hasil belajar IPA.Kata Kunci: keterampilan proses dasar, hasil belajar, inkuiri terbimbing, media konkret

Abstract

Abstract: Improving Critical Thinking Skill through Guided Inquiry Learning Model using Multimedia in the Learning of IPA about Force for the Third Grade Students of SD Negeri 1 Mangunweni in the Academic Year of 2016/2017. The objective of this research is to improve critical thinking skill and students’ learning outcome of IPA about force. This research is a collaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted within two cycles. Each cycle consisted of planning, action, observation, and reflection. Subjects of the research were teacher and third grade students of SD Negeri 1 Mangunweni.  Techniques of collecting data were learning outcomes test, observation, and interview. Validity of data in this research was analyzed using triangulation of sources and triangulation of technique. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative descriptiveanalysis consisting of data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusion or verification. The results of this research show that the use of guided inquiry learning model using multimedia can improve critical thinking skill and students’ learning outcome of IPA about force.Keywords: Guided Inquiry, multimedia, Critical thinking, Learning outcome, IPA

Abstract

Abstrak: Penerapan Model Role Playing dalam Peningkatan Motivasi dan Hasil Belajar Pkn tentang Globalisasi pada Siswa Kelas IV SDN 2 Pucangan Tahun Ajaran 2016/2017. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar PKn tentang globalisasi di kelas IV SD Negeri 2 Pucangan menggunakan model pembelajaran Role Playing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas IV yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan: observasi, angket, wawancara, dan tes. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran Role Playing dapat meningkatkan motivasi dan hasil belajar siswa.Kata Kunci: role playing, motivasi, hasil belajar PKn

Abstract

Abstract: The Application of Teams Games Tournament (TGT) models in Improving Science Learning at The Fifth Grade Students. The objectives of this study are: to describe the steps of application of TGT models in Science learning, learning improvement of Science learning by implementing TGT models, and to describe problems and solutions in the application of TGT models. This research iscollaborative Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in three cycles, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection on each cycle. The subject of this research was 18 students. Techniques of collecting data were observation, anecdotal record, and test. Abstract

Abstract: The objectives of this research are to proof effect on the implementation of think pair share (TPS) model and problem based learning (PBL) to students’ learning outcome of IPA for fifth grade students. The population of this research is the whole students of SDN 3 and 5 Panjer and SDN Pangebatan in the academic year of 2016/2017, and the sample is fifth grade students using purposive sampling. This research was using quasi experiment by non-equivalent control group design. Technique of collecting data were test to gain students’ cognitive and non-test observation, interview, and documentation. Data were analyzed using t-test. The results of this research show that there is the different effect on the implementation of think pair share (TPS) model and problem based learning (PBL) to students’ learning outcome of IPA. Using PBL was better than model TPS, based on t-test results show that the significant score is higher than  (0,138>0,05) and  value is lower than  (1,507 < 2, 003). Abstract

ABSTRACT Nurul Hidayah. THE USE OF GUIDED INQUIRY MODEL IN IMPROVING THE LEARNING MOTIVATION OF SCIENCE ON ENERGY AND THE CHANGING FOR FIFTH GRADE STUDENTS OF SD NEGERI KLEGENWONOSARI IN THE ACADEMIC YEAR OF 2016/2017. Thesis. Teacher Training and Education Faculty of Sebelas Maret University Surakarta. July 2017.The objectives of this study: (1) to describe the steps of applying learning Inquiry Guided model in improving learning motivation of IPA and (2) to improve student learning motivation through the application of guided inquiry model on science subjects for fifth grade students in even semester in SD Klegenwonosari in the academic year of 2016/2017.This study is a collaborative classroom action research (CAR) conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings and each meeting consists of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study are students of grade V SDN Klegenwonosari which amounted to 20 students. Sources of data in this study are, namely teachers, students, and documents. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires, observations, tests, interviews, and documentation. Data validity was using triangulation technique, ie triangulation of source and triangulation technique.The results of this study show: (1) the use of guided inquiry model is done through five steps, namely: (a) problem orientation, (b) conceptualization, (c) investigation, (d) conclusion, and (e) discussion. (2) the use of guided inquiry model can increase motivation and result in improvement of student learning outcomes. This is evidenced by the increase of students learning motivation in every cycle. Average percentage in cycle I intrinsic motivation 65,75%, while extrinsic motivation 61,37%. Cycle II, intrinsic motivation 83,16%, extrinsic motivation 69,72%, and in cycle III, intrinsic motivation increase reach 90,17% and extrinsic motivation increase reach 79,10%. While the students learning outcomes are evidenced by the improvement of learning outcomes, in the first cycle students who complete as much as 78.36%, on the second cycle as much as 90%, and in the third cycle as much as 97.5%.The conclusion of this research is the use of guided inquiry model can increase the learning motivation of IPA for fifth grade students of SDN Klegenwonosari in the academic year of 2016/2017.Keywords: Guided Inquiry Model, Energy and its changes, and Learning Motivation.

Abstract

Abstract: The Use of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) in Improving Learning Outcome of Mathematics about Multiplication and Division of Fraction for Fifth Grade Students of SDN I Tamanwinangun in The Academic Year of 2016/2017. The objectives of this research are to improve learning outcome of mathematics about multiplication and division of fraction through the use of PBL model. Subjects of the research were 26 students from fifth grade. Sources of data are teacher and students. This research is conducted within two cycles and four meetings. Each cycle consisted of four stages namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. Techniques of collecting data were observation, interview, and test. The results of this research show that the use of  PBL model can improve learning outcome of mathematics about multiplication and division for fifth-grade students.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, multiplication, Division, Mathematics
