Abstract

A technology for producing tilapia monosex female brood stock was needed in order to fulfill the female brood stock for YY male brood stock. The first step was producing XX male brood stock. A monosex female brood stock generation could be obtained if XX male brood stock population was mated with the female. The objective of this activity was to obtained XX male brood stock veryvication result. The result showed that 2 XX male were obtained from 38 fungtional male brood stocks. Abstract

This study aims to describe the upper class characteristics of the characters in novels with the Javanese local color to develop the nation’s character. It employed content analysis using the descriptive-analytic technique. The data sources were novels with the Javanese local color representing certain eras. The findings are as follows. First, people belong to the upper class because of inheritance and hard work. Second, there are two categories of upper class people, i.e. traditional ones with Dutch education and Islamic religion and new ones with university education and professional and structural positions. Third, they have good characters. Fourth, the characters of Javanese upper class people can serve as a basis to build and develop the nation’s character. Fifth, the character development can be carried out in the family by emphasizing religious attitudes and through humanity knowledge development emphasizing interpersonal, emotional, and spiritual aspects.

Abstract

Abstrak. Indonesia adalah salah satu penghasil pisang terbesar di asia. Masa hidup pisang relatif pendek. Sehingga tidak dapat menjangkau jarak jauh dalam pemasaran. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mempelajari efek penyerap etilen kalium permanganat untuk menunda proses pematangan, untuk mengetahui efektivitas etilen kalium permanganat untuk menyerap etilen dan untuk mengembangkan model penentuan konsentrasi etilen selama penyimpanan sebelum proses pematangan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa konsentrasi etilen setara dengan 0,16 ml/g.jam pada perlakuan 10 g , diikuti oleh perlakuan penyerap etilen 20 g dengan nilai setara dengan 0,06 ml/g.jam, penyerap 30 g sama dengan 0,03 ml / g.hour dan penyerap 40 g sama dengan 0,02 ml / g.hour pada suhu kamar 25 – 28 oC. Pada suhu dari 13, efektivitas penyerap etilen sama dengan 0,11 ml / g.hour pada perlakuan konsentrasi penyerap 10 g, diikuti oleh penyerap 20 g sama dengan 0,05 ml / g.hour . Penyerap 30 g sama dengan 0,03 ml / g.hour dan penyerap 40 g sama dengan 0,02 ml / g.hour. Fase klimakterik pada pisang dengan suhu 13 oC adalah di hari ke-11 , dengan produksi CO2 sama dengan 47,12 ml/kg dan produksi etilen sama dengan 1.82 ppm pada suhu ruang. Pada penggunaan etilen permanganat potasium diperoleh umur penyimpanan yang lebih panjang pada pisang, yaitu 20 hari pada suhu ruang dan 45 hari pada suhu 13 oC. Study of Lengthen Shelf Life of Pisang Raja (Musa paradisiaca Var. Sapientum L.) by Using Absorber Ethylene  Potassium Permanganate SubstanceAbstract. Indonesia is one of the biggest bananas producers in Asia. Banana is categorized as perishable  commodity,  therefore it cannot market is limited by distribution time.  Reach a long distance in marketing. This aim of this research is to study the effect of ethylene potassium permanganate to delay  the ripening of the fruit process, to know the effectiveness of ethylene potassium permanganate to absorb the ethylene and to develop ethylene concentration model during storage before ripening process. Results show that concentration of ethylene  is equal to 0.16 ml/g.hour at 10 g  of treatment, followed by 20 g  of absorber , that is equal to 0.06 ml/g.hour, 30g of absorber, that is equal to 0.03 ml/g.hour and 40g of absorber that is equal to 0.02 ml/g.hour at room temperature (25-28oC) temperature . At temperature of 13 0C, the effectivity of ethylene absorber is equal to 0.11 ml/g.hour at treatment concentration of 10 g  of absorber, followed by absorber 20 g of equal to 0.05 ml/g.hour. The absorber 30 g equal to 0.03 ml/g.hour and absorber 40 g equal to 0.02 ml/g.hour. Climacteric phase in  banana at temperature of  13 0C  is on the 11th day,  with production of CO2 equals to 14.67 ml/kg and production of ethylene equals to 0.96 ppm. Climacteric phase is in the 5th  day with production CO2 equals to 47.12 ml/kg and production of ethylene equals to 1.82 ppm at room temperature. The  ethylene potassium permanganate substance chamber is able to lengthen the shelf life of banana for 20 days at room temperature  and for 45 days at  temperature of 13 0C.

Abstract

This paper presents a different topology of H-bridge based multilevel current-source inverter (CSI). In this new topology, an H-bridge CSI is connected with a single or more current modules to generate a multilevel output current waveform with lower di/dt, and less distortion. Using the proposed multilevel CSI, the number of the power switching devices, and isolated gate drive circuits can be reduced. Moreover, chopper based DC current sources are presented to reduce the inductor size effectively to be in micro-Henry order, and ensure the balance of the intermediate current levels. The proposed topology is inherently able to reduce the inductor conduction losses if compared with the conventional multilevel CSIs and the H-bridge CSI. Seven-level PWM inverter configurations with non-isolated DC current sources and with a single DC power source are verified through computer simulations. Furthermore, laboratory prototypes of seven-level CSI is setup and tested. The results show that the inverter circuit works properly to generate the multilevel output current waveform with low harmonics currents, small inductors and with less conduction losses which proves feasibility of the proposed multilevel CSI.

Abstract

Abstrak   Lampu neon tabung masih banyak digunakan masyarakat umum meskipun telah diciptakan lampu neon kompak yang menggantikan lampu pijar. Lampu neon kompak memiliki efisiensi tinggi karena menggunakan ballast elektronik, sedangkan lampu neon tabung yang umum dipakai masih menggunakan ballast elektromagnetik. Makalah ini menganalisa tingkat penghematan yang didapatkan saat ballast elektromagnetik diganti dengan ballast elektronik pada beban penerangan lampu neon, khususnya untuk rangkaian lampu neon tabung 18 Watt dan 36 Watt di RSUD Saras Husada Purworejo. Analisa kedua jenis ballast meliputi perbandingan konsumsi daya, faktor daya, analisa segi ekonomis, tingkat pencahayaan, harmonisa, dan bentuk gelombang arus yang ditarik oleh beban lampu dari sumber listrik PLN. Dari data yang diperoleh didapatkan bahwa lampu neon dengan ballast elektronik konsumsi dayanya lebih rendah, faktor daya lebih tinggi, dan biaya listrik per bulannya lebih hemat dibandingkan dengan lampu neon yang memakai ballast elektromagnetik. Namun dari data pengukuran intensitas pencahayaan ditemukan terjadi penurunan kuat pencahayaan untuk lampu yang menggunakan ballast elektronik. Untuk data harmonisa arus yang ditarik dari sumber diperoleh bahwa lampu yang menggunakan ballast elektronik menarik arus dengan kandungan komponen harmonisa yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan lampu dengan ballast elektromagnetik. Kata kunci : energi listrik, efisiensi, ballast elektronik     Abstract   Fluorescent tube lamps are still widely used in spite of the compact fluorescent lamp has been introduced to replace the incandescent lamps. Compact fluorescent lamps use electronic ballast with higher efficiency, however many of the installed fluorescent tube lamps still use electromagnetic ballasts. This paper analyzes the level of savings obtained when the electromagnetic ballasts replaced by electronic ballasts in the fluorescent tube lamp circuits of 18 Watt and 36 Watt installed at Saras Husada Hospital Purworejo. Comparison analysis of both types of ballast was carried out, i.e. the ratio of power consumption, power factor, economic analysis, illumination levels, harmonics, and waveform. The results showed that the lamp with electronic ballasts have lower power consumption, better power factor, and cheaper in the electricity cost than the lamp with electromagnetic ballasts. However, a decrease in the level of illumination is found for the lamp with electronic ballast. In the case of harmonic contents of the current drawn from the power grid, the lamp with electronic ballast created a more distortion and harmonic contents of the current.   Keywords : electrical energy, efficiency, electronic ballasts

Abstract

Abstrak Seiring dengan kemajuan jaman, kebutuhan akan teknologi informasi juga semakin bertambah, begitu juga kebutuhan akan jaringan backbone untuk dapat mendukung kebutuhan service telekomunikasi dalam kehidupan sehari - hari. Dalam implementasi jaringan backbone, hampir disemua tempat ditemukan pembagian trafik pada link yang tidak merata. Contohnya link di Circuit Emulation Service (CES) yang berada di Belitang mengalami kongesti akibat radio yang digunakan tidak sejenis. Akibat dari pembagian trafik yang tidak merata tersebut, pengiriman informasi dari CES Belitang menuju ke CES Palembang menjadi sedikit terhambat. Ini disebabkan karena protokol routing shortest-path yang berada di CES mengirimkan trafik melalui jalur yang terpendek. Untuk mengatasai masalah yang berada di CES, dapat dilakukan Traffic Engineering menggunakan Label Switched Path. Dengan Label Switched Path, maka didapatkan pemerataan trafik yang lebih signifikan. Kata kunci: Traffic Engineering, Label Switched Path, Circuit Emulation Service

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1)Aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran KLH(2)Partisipasi siswa dalam pengelolaan sampah (3)Pengaruh keaktifan siswa dalam pembelajaran KLH terhadap partisipasi pengelolaan sampah. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan proporsional random samplingdengan sampel 33 siswa.Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan kuesionerdengan metode analisisstatistik deskriptif. Aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran KLH tergolong tinggi, karena mayoritas siswa bertanggung jawab dan berkontribusiterhadap proses pembelajaran KLH. Partisipasi siswa dalam pengelolaan sampah tinggi, karena dalam pembelajaran KLH siswa telah melakukan kegiatan pengelolaan sampah sesuai prosedur. Adanya pengaruh yang signifikan antara aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran KLH terhadap partisipasi pengelolaan sampah, karena siswa dapat menerapkan aktivitas pembelajaran KLH dalam bentuk partisipasi pengelolaan sampah.Guru hendaknya memberi kesempatan kepada siswa untuk melakukan pembelajaran di luar sekolah, misalnya kunjungan ke BLH, sehingga siswa dapat mengerti dan menerapkan sikap ramah lingkungan dimana saja. This researchpurpose isto know:(1)Students activity in KLH learning(2)Students participation in garbage management (3)Students impact for being active in KLH learning toward the participation in garbage management. The researcher used proporsional random sampling as the sample collecting technique with the sample which was consisted of 33 students. Technique of collecting the data used in this study is observation and questionnaire with statistic descriptive analysismethod. Students activity in KLH learning was classified into high, because most of the students are responsible and contributetoward KLH learning process. Students participation in garbage management was high, because in KLH learning, the students had done the garbage management activity based on the procedure. There was significant roles between the students activities in KLH learning and the participation in garbage management, because the students could apply KLH learning activities with the participation in garbage management. The teacher should give opportunities to the students to do some learning outside the school, for example visiting BLH. Therefore, students are able to understand and apply environmentally friendly anywhere.

Abstract

Renewable power generation using photovoltaic is very interesting to be developed to deal with the problems of conventional energy sources and environmental issues. The photovoltaic power generation can operate both in stand-alone and grid-connected operations. This paper presents an application of the five-level common-emitter current-source inverter (CE-CSI) for grid connected photovoltaic system without batteries as energy storage system. In the proposed system, the five-level CE-CSI works generating a sinusoidal output current from photovoltaic system to be injected into the power grid. The transformer is used in the system to step-down the grid voltage to meet the voltage level of the photovoltaic system, and also works as a galvanic insulation between the power grid and the inverter system. Two conditions of the power grid voltage, i.e. a pure sinusoidal and a distorted power grid, are tested through computer simulation using PSIM software. Furthermore, experimental test result of the five-level inverter is also presented. The test results show that the five-level CE-CSI works well injecting a sinusoidal current into the power grid with low harmonic contents, and with unity power factor operation. The results also show that the distorted grid voltage affects the harmonic contents of the current injected by the inverter.

Abstract

Dewasa ini, dengan tuntutan pembangunan yang semakin bertambah dan harus terus berjalan seiring dengan perkembangan jaman, menyebabkan penggunaan tanah yang kurang baik pun mulai dilakukan. Salah satunya adalah penggunaan lahan lereng yang digunakan untuk bangunan tempat tinggal penduduk. Oleh karena itu, perlu diadakan suatu inovasi secara signifikan dalam suatu teknologi konstruksi terutama yang dapat meningkatkan daya dukung tanah secara signifikan. Salah satunya adalah dengan diadakan perkuatan tanah (reinforced soil dengan menggunakan perkuatan geosintetik dengan salah satu jenisnya, yaitu geotekstil. Pada penelitian ini dipakai model test dengan ukuran panjang 1,50 m, lebar 1,0 m dan tinggi 1,0 m. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui lokasi pemasangan geotekstil yang maksimum pada saat jarak pondasi ke tepi lereng 12 cm dengan jumlah geotekstil 3 buah, dimana panjang lapisan geotekstil dipasang dengan tiga variasi berbeda dan dengan melakukan variasi jarak vertikal antarlapis geotekstil dengan tiga variasi berbeda pula. Hasil dari penambahan perkuatan geotekstil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model lereng mengalami peningkatan daya dukung secara signifikan. Dimana lokasi terbaik perkuatan geotekstil adalah pada pemasangan panjang dengan rasio L/H 0,59 dan Sv/H 0,15. Abstract

Background: The prevalence of anemia is still high among teenage girls aged 15-24 years (18,4%), it can be caused by several things, one of them is due to the lack of public awareness (especially teenagers) about the prevention of iron deficiency anemia. To overcome this, it is necessary to intervene more upstream to groups of youth and teenegers. One of them is by increasing the knowledge of teenegers through peer education. Peers has a very high influence in attitudes. This is caused by teens tend to choose the same attitude with their peers to be accepted by the group. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of peer education on attitudes about anemia prevention among teenage girls in ?Posyandu? Pandes, Klaten. Method: The type of this study was a Pre-Experiment design with one group pre-post test approach. Sampling technique that used was cluster sampling, the number of samples obtained 60 teenage girls as respondents in Pandes, Klaten. Data collected was using questionnaires on anemia prevention and data analysis technique that used was paired t-test parametric statistic with significance level of 0,05. Results: The attitude of teenage girls in anemia prevention is positive with pretest?s mean was 51,42 and posttest?s mean was 53,92. Conclusion: The p-value indicated the result of 0,001 (p < 0,05). Peer education had an effect on attitude in anemia prevention.
