Plasmin for Enhanced Improvement in Acute Ischaemic Stroke: A Multicentre Randomized Placebo-Controlled Trial

Abstract

Plasmin® (rongshuan jiaonans) is a medicine from China - which has gone through a high technology of biochemical extraction - that has thrombolitic effect, fibrinolytic effect, anticoagulant, antiplatelet and anti-inflamation effect. The purpose of this study was to evaluate Plasmin® in acute ischemic stroke patients in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial using some assessments of functional outcome and vascular as well as labarotary parameter such as Barthel Index (BI) and Modified Rankin Scale (MRS), mini mental state examination (MMSE), transcranial Doppler’s (TCD) performance, and measurement of blood analysis including fibrinogen level, INR, platelet aggregation, total cholesterol, HDL cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride level. An 84-day randomized double-blind placebo-controlled study was conducted. Participants were recruited from six academic hospitals that had been diagnosed as ischaemic stroke for the first time after 2 hours and before 2 weeks of onset. Patients were randomly assigned to plasmin® or placebo control (1:1 ratio). Sixty patients of ichaemic stroke who fulfilled inclusion criteria were enrolled in the study over 84 days period, with 44 participants completing the study (21 plasmin and 23 placebo). The increasing of BI score at 84th day compare to 14th day was significantly more in plasmin group than in placebo. Eighteen participants (85.7%) of plasmin showed improvement in MRS score, while in placebo group only 12 participants (52.2%) showed improvement (p =0.018). Motor strength of upper extremity was seen improving significantly in plasmin after 14 days of treatment compare to placebo, while lower extremity was significantly improved after 28 days of treatment. Administration of plasmin® in the acute ischaemic stroke patient between 2 hours and 2 weeks of onset showed significant improvement in motor strength, BI score, and MRS score. Further study with larger number of participants is recommended to confirm the benefit of plasmin® in management of acute ischaemic stroke.Keywords: acute ischaemic stroke, Barthel Index, Modified Rankin Scale, plasmin, randomized controlled trial

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Asesmen portofolio adalah asesmen yang dilakukan untuk mengetahui kompetensi seseorang. Asesmen harus dapat mengungkapkan seoptimal mungkin kelebihan setiap individu, oleh karenanya asesmen harus berpusat pada pebelajar. Tujuan penelitian adalah mengungkap tentang pemberdayaan kecakapan berpikir kreatif khususnya pada perkuliahan evaluasi hasil belajar bidang studi Penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan  desain penelitian   Pretest-Postest Non equivalent Control Group Design. Data kecakapan berpikir kreatif dianalisis dengan analisis kovarian Analisis kovarian dilakukan dengan SPSS for Window. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa asesmen portofolio dapat memberdayakan kecakapan berpikir kreatif secara signifikan pada perkuliahan EHB mencakup aspek: (1) fluency (2) flexibility, (3) originality, dan (4) elaboration.   Kata Kunci : berpikir kreatif, portofolio,  EHB Biologi

Abstract

Abstract: Promoting Students’ Metacognitive Skills Using JIGSAW-Reciprocal Teaching. Metacognition skill guides the students to be self-regulated learners. Self-regulated learners are responsible to enhance the progress of learning. This study aims at finding out the effect of the learning strategy toward the metacognition skill and how the combination of Jigsaw-Reciprocal Teaching (JIRAT) strategies could significantly improve the metacognition skill of lower academic ability students. This study was quasi experimental with factorial 4 x 2 and pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The population of this study was the 10th grade students of 2008/2009 academic years of the public and private senior high schools in Jember. The data was analyzed by ANCOVA. Findings showed the learning strategy affected the metacognition skill. The JIRAT strategy, RT strategy, and Jigsaw strategy have equivalent position in increasing metacognition skills. There were differences in metacognition skills on upper academic ability and lower academic ability students. There was no interaction effect of the strategy and the ability of the students metacognition skill. JIRAT strategy, RT strategy, and Jigsaw strategy of upper academic ability and lower academic ability had equivalent position to increase metacognition skills. The JIRAT strategy, RT, and Jigsaw tended to increase metacognition skills of lower academic ability students.Abstrak: Pemberdayaan Keterampilan Metakognisi Siswa Berkemampuan Akademik Rendah dengan Strategi Pembelajaran Jigsaw-Reciprocal Teaching (Jirat). Keterampilan metakognisi dapat membantu siswa menjadi pebelajar mandiri. Pebelajar mandiri bertanggung jawab terhadap kemajuan belajarnya. Tujuan penelitian adalah meningkatkan secara signifikan keterampilan metakognisi siswa berkemampuan akademik bawah dengan menerapkan strategi pembelajaran Jigsaw-Reciprocal Teaching (JIRAT). Rancangan penelitian adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan faktorial 4X2. Prosedur penelitian dengan desain eksperimen Pretest-Postest Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri dan SMA Swasta di Jember. Keterampilan metakognisi diukur dengan rubrik yang dikembangkan oleh Corebima. Data yang didapat dianalisis dengan analisis kovarian (anakova). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran berpengaruh terhadap keterampilan metakognisi. Startegi JIRAT, reciprocal Teaching (RT), dan strategi Jigsaw pada siswa dengan kemampuan akademik atas dan bawah mempunyai kemampuan sama dalam meningkatkan keterampilan metakognisinya. JIRAT, strategi RT, dan strategi Jigsaw dapat meningkatkan keterampilan metakognisi siswa berkemampuan akademik bawah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adaptabilitas dan keefektifan model Asesmen Teman Sejawat (ATS) untuk mengukur kemampuan pemecahan masalah bidang Akuntansi Perusahaan Jasa. Subjek coba adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Ekonomi FKIP Unlam. Instrumen pengumpulan data terdiri atas: (1) tiga macam tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah, (2) angket skala lajuan kemampuan kerjasama kolaboratif, (3) rubrik penilaian analitik dan (4) log dan jurnal belajar. Data dianalisis dengan GLM Repeated Measures dan statistik non-parametrik. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa ATS: (1) secara signifikan lebih baik daripada model asesmen konvensional. (2) tidak selalu tepat untuk mengungkap penguasaan kemampuan pemecahan masalah yang bersifat novelty, (3) memiliki kelayakan, adaptabilitas dan keberfungsian sebagai asesmen pelengkap untuk mengubah kultur belajar-mengajar konvensional, (5) yang ideal memiliki bobot proporsi untuk dosen berkisar antara 50% - 75% dan untuk mahasiswa berkisar antara 50% - 90%, dan (6) dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan kemampuan kerjasama individu dan kelompok dalam belajar. Abstract

Relationship can be seen from the similarity of the cow and bull. One method to find out about the phylogenetic relationship between species is by using cranial morphometry (craniometrics). The purpose of this research was to identify morphological cranium Bali cattle , banteng baluran , and banteng merubetiri based on the parameters measured .This research was conducted in August and ending in October 2013 , held at the National Park Baluran and Merubetiri National Park. The design of this research is descriptive quantitative research , using data analysis kalster ( cluster analysis). Parameters of this research using 15 indicators that have been established in accordance with the research Hayashi , 1982. Materials used in this study are adult male cranium Bali cattle obtained from abattoir ( Slaughterhouse ) Denpasar in January to July 2013 a total of six specimens . Cranium of an adult male bull that used a total of six specimens . Five specimens were collected from the National Park consisting Baluran ( two cranium that is banteng baluran 4 and 5 in 1992 ) and the ( three cranium is banteng baluran1, banteng baluran 2 , and banteng baluran 3 in the 2012-2013 ) . Cranium specimen obtained from the sixth bull collection Merubetiri National Park . Measuring instruments used in this study is the large calipers with a precision level of 0.01 cm . The results of this study showed that the cranium cluster of Bali cattle with coefficient range of 0.016 to 0.042 in contrast to the first cluster is bull cranium specimen glaze 1 bull , bull glaze 2 , 3 baluran bull , and the bull merubetiri 1 , with a coefficient value of 0.047 to 0.161 range . Bali cattle cranium differ significantly with cluster cranium second bull is a bull glaze glaze glaze bull 4 and 5 with the coefficient of 0.162 to 0.251 range. Merubetiri bull glaze and form two clusters , the first cluster bull bull glaze consisting of 1 , 2 bull glaze , glaze bull bull merubetiri 3 and 1 , while the second consists of a cluster bull bull bull glaze glaze 4 and 5 . Turns bull glaze specimens collected in 1992 in contrast to the bull glaze specimens collected in 2012 and 2013. Bull glaze specimens collected in 2012 and 2013, closer to the bull merubetiri specimens . And the bull specimens closer distance coefficient with Bali cattle. The conclusion of this study is the overall specimen Bali cattle entered in a cluster , different from the first cluster and cluster bull bull both . The first cluster by cluster bull bull both are in different clusters. Keywords: cluster analysis , relationship , craniometric , bali cattle and banteng.

Abstract

Permasalahan utama pada penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN 2 Buga Kecamatan Ogodeide Kabupaten Tolitoli pada mata pelajaran IPS. Salah satu Faktor yang menyebabkan kemampuan siswa rendah adalah metode mengajar yang selama ini digunakan oleh guru cenderung membuat siswa pasif dan berpusat pada guru (Teacher Oriented). Untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa maka peneliti menerapkan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri sosial dalam mengajarkan IPS di kelas V SDN 2 Buga. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan tiga siklus dengan jumlah siswa 20 orang. Setiap siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Dari hasil tindakan siklus I diperoleh ketuntasan belajar klasikal sebesar 59%. Hasil tindakan siklus II diperoleh ketuntasan belajar klasikal 65% dan hasil tindakan siklus III diperoleh ketuntasan belajar 95%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran inkuiri sosial dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas V SDN 2 Buga. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to prove the effect of the acquisition methodSTAD student learning outcomes in terms of aspects of student interest in economicsubjects in class X at SMAN 10 Batang Jambi. The study was conducted using a quasiexperimentaldesign with one-shoot method of post test design. The results showed thatthe method STAD significant positive effect on the acquisition of student learningoutcomes. Proven to strengthen students interest in learning method STAD acquisitionof student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The objective of the study was to analyze the influence of family environment and social environment toward students’ achievement for Economics subject at the XI Social Studies students in SMA N 3 Jambi in the academic year of 2012/ 2013. The data were collected by questionnaire and documentation. Then, the data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and regression. The result of the study showed that simultaneously, family environment and social environment influenced significantly toward students’ achievement for Economics subject at the XI IPS students in SMK N 3 Jambi. In detail, family environment had more dominant influence than social environment to influence students’ achievement.
