Abstract

Manusia sering disebut sebagai makhluk sosial, makhluk berakal, makhluk berseni, dan sebagainya. Tulisan ini secara tidak langsung membicarakan manusia sebagai makhluk berbahasa, bersimbol, dan bereligi . Meskipun demikian, titik tolaknya bukan pada manusia itu sendiri, tetapi pada bahasa, simbol, dan religinya, terutama pada hubungan di antara ketiganya . Hubungan antara bahasa dan simbol tidak diragukan lagi karena bahasa merupakan jenis simbol . Demikian juga hubungan antara simbol dengan religi ; pada umumnya simbol dipakai dalam religi untuk mengonkretkan dan mendekatkan Yang Disimbolkan dengan manusia . Bahasa sebagai alat komunikasi juga dipakai dalam religi, misalnya dalam wujud doa, mantera, kitab suci, dan sebagainya.

Abstract

Fertilizer of NPK or manure no velvet bean yield increase. On leguminosae, nitrogen fertilizer utilization can decreased rhizobium activity on nodule change N2 to ability nitrogen for plant. For this reason, experiment limiting factor for velvet bean yield important to due. This research was conduct on Litosol soil in Tancep, Ngawen, Gunungkidul regency and on latosol soil in UNS experimental Land, Jumantono, Karanganyar regency. The experimental design was Randomized complete block design and factorial with 2 factors. The treatment was: 1) soil kind, 2 level litosol soil in Ngawen and latosol soil in Jumantono, and 2) fertilizer on 7 level, a) control without fertilizer, b) P 200 kg/ha, c) P 100 kg/ha and K 100 kg/ha, d) P 200 kg/ha and foliage fertilizer D, e) P 200 kg/ha and foliage fertilizer B, f) P 100 kg/ha, K 100 kg/ha and foliage fertilizer D and g) P 100 kg/ha, K 100 kg/ha and foliage fertilizer D and B. All experiment due with 3 replications. Result of this research shows: 1) P, K and micro nutrition due to limiting growth and yield of velvet bean, 2) latosol soil take the higher growth and yield than litosol soil, 3) plant growth and yield on latosol soil was very responsive than litosol soil.

Abstract

The objective of this research was understanding the impact of planting method to N and P element in the soil (swapt away by erosion) of aslant land, determining the best planting method and plant variety that has best ability to reduce erosion of N and P element. This research employed erosion block for seasonal plants with 30O of declivity. Erosion of N and P element examined by analyzing the soil swept away by erotion every 5 days. Analysis of N and P element included available N, total N, available P and total P. Then the data was analyzed with T-test at 95% level confidence.Conclusion taken from this research were: 1) Planting method reduce availble P and total P element, respectively as much as 15% and 20%, but there was no significant difference between available N and total P, 2) There was significant difference between available P and total P, when the variety of plant and combination was employed as a treatment variation, 3) Pennisetum purpureum planted by using equidistant method reduce N and P element in the soil, respectively as much as 15% and 20%.

Abstract

Lipida terstruktur (LS) yang mengandung asam lemak rantai medium mempunyai keuntungan untuk kesehatan dan banyak dipelajari kegunaannya untuk keperluan medis, fungsional nutrisi, dan makanan. Dalam penelitian ini dikaji sintesis enzimatik LS rantai medium dari asam laurat dan gliserol menggunakan lipase Candida rugosa. Berbagai pengaruh parameter reaksi seperti konsentrasi enzim, lama reaksi, suhu, penambahan molecular sieve, dan perbandingan molar substrat (mmol asam laurat/mmol gliserol telah dikaji). Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa kondisi terbaik untuk sintesis gliserida rantai medium dicapai pada suhu reaksi 37°C selama 24 jam dengan  jumlah lipase sebanyak 80 mg, penambahan molecular sieve 0,1 mg, dan perbandingan molar substrat asam laurat/gliserol 3:1. Analisa produk reaksi menggunakan kromatografi gas menunjukkan bahwa lipase Candida rugosa dapat menghasilkan gliserida dengan komposisi persentase molar 15,55% monolaurin, 10,29% dilaurin, dan 1,41% trilaurin

Abstract

Filter has been fabricated based on the model of microgravity two sources of anomalies over time, ie subsidence and groundwater level dynamics. Model adjusted for field conditions with several assumptions, one of which is the porosity of the aquifer consists of homogeneous sand and clay sand is 30% filled with water.  Gravity response due to subsidence, soil water dynamics and combined the two done 2D FFT. FFT process is changing the data from the spatial region to region frekuensi. Furthermore, the filter is built by performing mathematical operations division, which is output divided by input. The output data of the gravity response due to subsidence or ground water dynamics, and input is combined response and the dynamics of gravity due to subsidence of ground water. Experimental results show that in order to create a filter that gives a small error when using filters subsidence dimensional (XY) of the same or greater dimension of subsidence are filtered. Differences dimensional subsidence subsidence filter with a filter at X = 100 m and Y = 100 m gives 1.744% error. Giving a small error when using filters subsidence dimension (Z) the same or smaller dimensions are filtered subsidence. Differences dimensional subsidence subsidence filter with a filter of 1 cm gives 7.322% error. For the case of subsidence of more than one location indicates that the smallest error occurs if you use the filters subsidence dimension equal to - average dimensions of subsidence to be filtered.   Keywords: filter, subsidence, groundwater

Abstract

Soybean is one of the most important food commodities in Indonesia and also it has high value. The needs continue to increase each year, but not offset by increased production become an issue that must be addressed. One attempt to increase soybean production is through the cultivation in agroforestry systems through improving the quality of soil fertility. This research aims to study the effect of various doses of litter teak and NPK fertilizer on chemical soil fertility and the potential of soybeans yield in agroforestry systems based teak crops. Experiments using a Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with two factors, namely litter teak doses (0 ton ha-1, 2.500 ton ha-1, 5.000 ton ha-1, 7.500 ton ha-1) and doses of NPK fertilizer (60-60-60 and 60-120-60) on Grobogan soybean varieties. The variables measured were pH, organic matter content, N-total soil, cation exchange capacity (CEC), plant tissue of N, P-total soil, and component production. Data analysis using analysis of variance F-test based on the level of 5% and significantly different variables followed by Tukey’s method level of 5%. The results showed that combination treatment with various doses of teak litter NPK fertilizers can increase total nitrogen content of the soil with the highest yield of 1.69% on S1D2 treatment, but to organic matter, CEC, pH, and total soil P not significant effect. Component of soybean varieties of the highest Grobogan of 0.83 tons ha-1 in the treatment S1D1. The result was still below the average of the national soybean production.

Abstract

Problem this study is focused on the noise produced by the silencer of vehicle which can be very dangerous for our health especially  for the health  of those who live in urban areas. There have been many studies on  how to  reduce the noise of produced  by the silencer of vehicle conducted by the experts using various research methods such as by changing the construction form or by changing the material that can be  used  to  reduce  the  noise produced  by the silencer of the vehicle. In  this research,  the writer conducted a  study on how to reduce the noise produced by the silencer of a vehicle using of composite silencer of the same size and standard in reducing the noise produced by the silencer of Toyota Kijang 7K. The composite was  made  of  the Rockwool fibers and polyester resins (thermosetting) using the hand-lay up   method. The study was conducted in a laboratory using the laboratory equipment such as sound  pressure  level meter ,engine  tune-up  tester  (Okuda Koki ea-800a). The data of this study (the noise) was obtained through the hemispherical method with the distance of one meter from the silencer and divided into four point. The noise  measurement was done in the pivots of X+, X-, Y+ and Z- at each point by Sound Pressure  Level  Meter.  The  other data taken  were the temperature  and  the  velocity  of exhaust gas  flow on all of the  four  point. The data  obtained were analyzed  through  the software  of  Microsoft Excel. The result of this study shows the highest reduction of noise level (0.93 % = 0.18 dB).

Abstract

A depth experience and knowledge are needed in analyzing the prediction of seawater intrusion. We report here a physical modelling for monitoring the model scale of seawater intrusion. The model used in this research is glass basin consists of two parts; soil and seawater. The intrusion of seawater into soil in the glass basin is modelled. The results of 2-D inversion by using software Res2DInv32 showed that the monitoring of seawater intrusion, in soil model scale, can be detected by using Schlumberger configuration resistivity method. The watering process of freshwater into soil caused the electric resistivity value decreased. This phenomenon can be seen from the transition of the resistivity pseudo section before and after the watering process using different cummulative volume of freshwater in different soil. After being intruded by the seawater, the measured soil resistivity is 2.22 Ωm – 5.69 Ωm which means that the soil had been intruded.

Abstract

ABSTRAKTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah menentukan umur simpan kerupuk ikan lele dumbo panggang menggunakan pendekatan model kadar air kritis dengan 2 jenis kemasan yakni plastik metalik dan polipropilen. Kerupuk ikan ditentukan kadar air awal, kadar air kritis, kadar air kesetimbangan beserta nilai aktifitas air untuk dapat dimasukkan dalam persamaan Labuza. Permeabilitas, ketebalan, dan luas kemasan juga dianalisis sebagai variabel pendukung yang digunakan dalam persamaan Labuza. Titik kritis ditentukan berdasarkan hasil uji skor yang dilakukan oleh 21 panelis terlatih terhadap nilai kerenyahan produk kerupuk hingga produk dinyatakan tidak renyah (skor 2). Hasil perhitungan pendugaan umur simpan berdasarkan persamaan Labuza menunjukkan bahwa kerupuk ikan lele dumbo panggang dengan kemasan plastik metalik memiliki umur simpan yang lebih lama (329 hari) dibandingkan dengan plastik polipropilen (231 hari). ABSTRACTStudy aimed to determine the shelf life of roasted catfish crackers using critical moisture content model packed with two plastic packaging, namely metalized plastic and polypropilen plastic. The crackers were determined for their initial moisture content, critical moisture content, equilibrium moisture content, and water activity to be included in the Labuza equation. Permeability, thickness, and area of packaging were also analyzed as additional variable needed by Labuza equation. The critical point was determined based on the scoring test result conducted by 21 welltrained panelists for the crispness value of roasted catfish crackers until the crackers were scored not crispy. Result of the shelf life calculation using Labuza equation showed that the shelf life of roasted catfish crackers packed with metalized plastic was longer (329 days) compared to the one that packed with polypropilen plastic (231 days).

Abstract

ABSTRAKDurian (Durio zibenthinus Murr.) merupakan buah-buahan tropis dari AsiaTenggara. Beberapa genotipe durian lokal telah dilepas menjadi varietas unggul,yaitu durian sukun, sunan, kani, monthong dan petruk, namun sampai saat inibelum diketahui keragaman DNA. Alternatif untuk mengkaji keragaman DNAdurian adalah dengan menggunakan penanda RAPD. Tujuan penelitian adalahmengkaji keragaman DNA pada varietas durian sukun, sunan, kani, monthong,dan petruk serta mengkaji keragaman DNA durian sukun yang ditanam padawilayah yang berbeda berdasarkan penanda RAPD.Penelitian dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Balai Besar PenelitianBioteknologi dan Pemuliaan Tanaman Hutan di Yogyakarta mulai bulanNovember 2008 sampai bulan Januari 2009. Bahan penelitian analisis keragamanDNA antar varietas durian adalah daun tanaman durian sukun, sunan, kani,monthong dan petruk yang ada di kebun benih Ranukitri Karanganyar. Bahanpenelitian analisis keragaman DNA durian sukun pada wilayah penanamanberbeda adalah daun tanaman durian sukun dari Gempolan Karanganyar, duriansukun dari Kebun Benih Ranukitri Karanganyar, durian sukun dari Jepara dandurian sukun dari Salatiga. Selanjutnya dilakakukan analisis DNA terhadapsampel daun yang diawali dengan isolasi DNA, uji kuantitas dan kualitas DNA,seleksi primer, dan amplifikasi dengan PCR. Visualisasi hasil PCR dilakukandengan elektroforesis menggunakan etidium bromide yang menghasilkan pitaDNA. Pita DNA selanjutnya dianalisis dengan program NTSYS untukmendapatkan keragaman DNA antar varietas durian dan keragaman DNA duriansukun pada wilayah penanaman berbeda.Seleksi primer menghasilkan 6 primer polimorfik yang digunakan, yaituprimer OPA-01, OPA-02, OPA-07, OPA-16, OPA-18 dan OPA-19. Pola pitaDNA hasil amplifikasi menunjukkan adanya keragaman antar varietas duriansukun, sunan, kani, monthong dan petruk serta menunjukkan keragaman duriansukun yang ditanam di wilayah yang berbeda. Dendrogram pengelompokkan padalima varietas durian cenderung memisah, yaitu durian sukun, sunan, monthongdan petruk merupakan satu kelompok yang memisah dengan durian kani.Dendrogram pengelompokkan durian sukun yang ditanam pada wilayah berbedamenghasilkan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok I terdiri dari durian sukun dariGempolan Karanganyar dan durian sukun dari Salatiga. Kelompok II terdiri daridurian sukun dari Kebun Benih Ranukitri Karanganyar dan durian sukun dariJepara.Kata kunci : Analisis keragaman, DNA, Durio zibethinus Murr, RAPD
