Abstract

The study to identify the effects of different concentrate supplementation on the reproductive performance of the local rabbits fed with basal ration (i.e.: sweet potato forages – ad libitum) was carried out in Jono Oge village - Biromaru, Donggala–Central Sulawesi. The study used 12 multifarious does which were allocated to four treatments using a Randomized Block design (RBD).  The treatments were as follows: does fed with basal ration (R0); does fed with basal ration supplemented with concentrate at 1% (R1), 2% (R2), and 3% (R3) of body weights.  Litter sizes, weights at birth   and weaning of kids were then recorded.  Results showed that concentrate supplementation for the  local rabbits fed with basal ration of sweet potato forages did not significantly affect the litter size and  birth-weight of kids but the treatments did significantly affect their weaning-weights (21 day old).

Abstract

Autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is a necroinflammatory liver disease of unknown etiology. Although the pathogenetic mechanism of AIH is still unknown, an underlying genetic predisposition and the association of the disease with certain human leukocyte antigens (HLAs) have been suggested. The molecular mimicry has been proposed as a pathogenetic mechanism for AIH. The diagnosis of AIH is based on a constellation of clinical, serological, and histopathological findings. The International Autoimmune Hepatitis Group (IAIHG) proposed diagnosis criteria in 1993, which were revised in 1999. In 2008, the IAIHG decided to devise a simplified scoring system for wider applicability in routine clinical practice. Based on clinical and serological parameters, AIH cases have been categorized into three subtypes: type-1 AIH, type-2 AIH and type-3 AIH. The therapeutic guidelines of AIH include immunosuppressive agent with corticosteroid and usually in combination with azathioprine. Starting dose of prednisone monotherapy is 60 mg daily, which should be tapered slowly over a 1 week period to a maintenance dose of < 20 mg daily. The other regimen is used in combination with azathioprine, prednisone dose is started at 30 mg and tapered 10 to 5 mg every week until a maintenance dose of 10 mg is achieved. Azathioprine is given at the dose of 50 mg daily. In the very few patients that do not tolerate or have significant side effects to gold standard therapy, alternative immunosuppressive drugs should be given. Other powerful immunosuppressive drugs and molecular interventions are being developed based on recent insights into pathogenic pathways, emerging pharmacologic agents, and new technologies. Comparing the Effects of Genistein, Silymarin, Lecithin on Improved Liver Necrosis Induced by Paracetamol Toxic Dose Administration in Rattus novergicus Wistar Strain

Abstract

Background: Paracetamol, a widely used antipyretic and analgesic drug has been known for its side effect of liver toxicity resulting from free radical formation leading to necrotic hepatocytes. Oral genistein may reduce lipid peroxidation and increase total antioxidant capacity in liver. The present study was aimed to compare the effects of administering genistein, silymarin and lecithin on improved necrotic hepatocytes in Wistar rats fed with toxic dose of paracetamol. Method: An experimental study was conducted at the Laboratory of Physiology and Anatomical Pathology, University of Brawijaya between May and September 2011. About 48 male rats were categorized into 4 groups. The first group was treated with 600 mg/kgBW of oral paracetamol. The other groups were treated with 600 mg/kgBW paracetamol and additional 2 mg/kgBW genistein, 50 mg/kgBW silymarin or 100 mg/kgBW lecithin. ALT, AST, bile acid, malondialdehyde (MDA) and glutation (GSH) levels were measured and centrilobular necrosis observed by histopathological examination. Data were analyzed statistically by ANOVA. Results: AST and ALT level were significantly lower in genistein group (p = 0.004 and p = 0.001). The lowest bile acid level was found in the lecithin group (p = 0.025); while lowest MDA level was found in silymarin group (p = 0.009). The highest GSH level was found in lecithin group (p = 0.001). The lowest percentage of centrilobular necrosis was found in genistein group (p = 0.001). Conclusion: Genistein, silymarin and lecithin supplementation improve liver necrosis induced by toxic dose of paracetamol. Among them, genistein is the most significant agent. Abstract

This Research was conducted on the basic of marketing strategy conducted by the company to improve competitiveness. Which is this case on research focused to elektronic company. Elektronic company very influential on moderen life. This research was conducted to know internal influences and external influences for company and also marketing strategy and then planning to used increasing competitiveness. The growing era and the increacing number of competitors. The research method used is descriptive by taking a qualitative approach, and by using data collection techniques, documentation, interviews, observation, determining respondents with staff - related staff and so on to support research. The results of research conducted show that the strategy carried out has an effect on increasing sales of PT. Electrolux’s products. Abstract

This study focused on the identification of marketing innovation model using the Business Model which was introduced by Alexander Osterwalder. The preparation of the marketing innovation model was based on the data and information obtained from interviews and secondary data (literature reviews) in the form of books, magazines, newspapers, the internet, and journals. The study was divided into 2 (two) stages: (1) identifying Marketing Characteristics of SMEs in Bondowoso; and (2) establishing a model of Marketing Innovation through Business Model Canvas. In this study, it was found that being passive in marketing and having limited access were the main problems faced by SMEs. Based on the data obtained, the marketing model offered was by classifying some of the elements involved in the marketing of SMEs to the Business Model Canvas having nine important factors. The first factor is Value Proposition by taking the government, distribution partners, investors, and suppliers as the elements. The second is Key Activities in the form of production, promotion, and distribution. The third is Key Resources in the form of human resources. The fourth is Value Proposition in the form of effective, efficient, and competitive marketing. The fifth is Customer Relationship in the form of bonus, discount, and total quality management. The sixth is Channel in the form of delivery service and the bureau of tourism. The seventh is Customer Segment in the form of customers from all economic, social, and cultural classes. The eighth is Revenue Stream in the form of profits from revenue. The ninth is Cost Structure in the form of cost incurred for the implementation process. Abstract

Accounting Information Systems today has an important role to the progress of an organization included in the business world. The problem that often arises in small and medium enterprises, among others on the system transactions are still done manually, by relying on paper for archiving enterprise data. Of course, such things will be difficult to control and report transaction data namely finance Production Cost and Process Cost. An application system that can help the process along with the transaction data report is required which can present useful information for interested parties to address such problems. The fact that there are still many small and medium-class companies (SMEs) still doing transaction processing, financial records and preparing reports both reports transactions and financial statements of the company manually. Improving the IT mastering is one of the important factors that need to be considered for small and medium enterprises and it also can develop the business wheel. IT development has been moving very rapidly, both in terms of hardware and software which can help the companys performance.One of SMEs in Kebumen district is tile company famous brand of Sokka. Most companies tile in the district Kebumen still use manual accounting system. Tile Company Brands Sokka does the production process using the production machine. Where the process Brands Sokka tile production company produces several kinds of products in the form types of tile press generated from period to period is always the same.The existence of accounting information system is expected to make management transactions and corporate finance better and accurate, and can help entrepreneurs and policy makers in managing the companys finances and taking policy’s company as well as scoring at the performance of the company. 17 Year Old Female Patient with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus and Ulcerative Colitis

Abstract

Gastrointestinal manifestations are common in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Although the relationshipbetween SLE with ulcerative colitis (UC) rarely obtained, SLE patients with gastrointestinal manifestations shouldpreferably be evaluated for the possibility of an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). UC prognosis associatedwith SLE is usually good, whereas by proper diagnosis and management, the clinical output and a good life expectancy of patients will be obtainedA young female, 17 years old, who had previously been diagnosed with SLE for 5 years, came with complaintsof abdominal pain and chronic diarrhea. From the results of colonoscopy and biopsy of the intestinal mucosawas noted that in accordance with UC. After receiving treatment for 6 days, she no longer obtained complaintsof abdominal pain and diarrhea. Prognosis UC terkait LES biasanya baik, dimana dengan diagnosis dan penatalaksanaan yang tepatakan didapatkan keluaran klinis dan harapan hidup yang baik pada pasien.Seorang perempuan muda berusia 17 tahun yang sebelumnya telah terdiagnosa LES selama 5 tahun, datangdengan keluhan nyeri perut dan diare kronik. Dari hasil pemeriksaan kolonoskopi dan biopsi mukosa ususdidapatkan gambaran yang sesuai dengan KU. Setelah mendapat terapi selama 6 hari, tidak didapatkan lagi keluhan nyeri perut dan diare.Kata kunci: lupus eritematosus sistemik, gastrointestinal, colitis ulseratif, penyakit inflamasi usus besar

Abstract

The problem of this research are learning centered on text book as the learning source, classical learning with speech method and learning without the relevant media, such as animal and plant posters. This research is Class Action Research (CAR) with 25 students as the research subject. The actions of the first cycle are presentation and discussion of the group task in a series. The actions of the second cycle are presentation and discussion of the group task in continuous. The results of this research are 1) the application of mind mapping method in Science learning is approaching group learning and carrying out the group task, 2) the group tasks are different pictures which fulfill with linked information, 3) the application of mind mapping method is followed with presentation and discussion, 4) the group task functions are as the relevant media and as a briefly, densely and clarity script, 5) the application of mind mapping method in Science learning is increasing the result study.
