Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the ability to write a speech text viewed from the aspect of content, organization, language acquisition, vocabulary, mechanics and sistematic. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a sample speech text class X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. Sampling technique used is purposive sampling. The data collection technique used is the analysis of documents and in-depth interviews. Data analysis technique used is content analysis.The results of this study are as follows. First, the students skills in writing a speech text based on aspects accuracy consists of: very precise as many as 19 students (90.5%), fairly precisely as much as 0 students (0%), precise as many as 0 students (0%), and less precise as much as 2 students (9.5%).Second, students skills in writing a speech text based on the organizational aspects (cohesion and coherence) consists of: very coherent and cohesive as much as 6 students (28.6%), fairly coherent and cohesive as many as 12 students (57.1%), coherent and cohesive as many as three students (14.3 %), and less coherent and cohesive student as much as 0 student (0%).Third, students skills in writing a speech text based on aspects of language acquisition (effective sentence) consists of: very effective as many as 2 students (9.5%), fairly effective as many as 14 students (66.7%), effective as many as five students (23.8%), and less effective from 0 students (0%). Fourth, the students skills in writing a speech text based on aspects vocabulary consists of: very precise as much as 4 students (19%), fairly precisely as many as 11 students (52.4%), precise 5 students (23.8%), and less precise as much as 1 student (4.8 %). Fifth, students skills in writing a speech text based on the mechanical aspects (spelling and punctuation) consists of: very precise as much as 0 students (0%), fairly precisely as many as 2 students (9.5%), preciseas much as 6 students (28.6%), and less precise as many as 13 students (61.9%). Sixth, the students skills in writing a speech text based on aspects of systematics consists of: very exactly 5 students (23.8%), exactly as many as 10 students (47.6%), just exactly as many as six students (28.6%), and less precise as much as 0 students (0 %). Seventh, causes a lack of ability to write speech text, among others: less of grammar reference book; inadequate mastery of the rules; lack of motivation of students writing; lack of rigor in the writing process; and the lack of students vocabulary mastery. Eighth, the efforts made to overcome the lack of ability to write speech text, among others: add a collection Indonesian handbook;improving students mastery of language rules, learning to write using a process approach, and increase the reading and writing exercises intensity. Keywords: speech text, writing, writing skills, assessment. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menulis teks pidato ditinjau dari aspek isi, organisasi, penguasaan bahasa, kosakata, mekanik dan sistematika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan sampel teks pidato siswa kelas X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Karanganyar. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah analisis dokumen dan wawancara mendalam. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks pidato berdasarkan aspek ketepatan isi terdiri dari: sangat tepat sebanyak 19 siswa (90.5%), tepat sebanyak 0 siswa (0%), cukup tepat sebanyak 0 siswa (0%), dan kurang tepat sebanyak 2 siswa (9.5%). Kedua, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks pidato bedasarkan aspek organisasi (kohesi dan koherensi) terdiri dari: sangat koheren dan kohesif sebanyak 6 siswa (28.6%), koheren dan kohesif sebanyak 12 siswa (57.1%), cukup koheren dan kohesif sebanyak 3 siswa (14.3%), dan kurang koheren dan kohesif sebanyak 0 siswa (0%). Ketiga, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks pidato bedasarkan aspek penguasaan bahasa (kalimat efektif) terdiri dari: sangat efektif sebanyak 2 siswa (9.5%), efektif sebanyak 14 siswa (66.7%), cukup efektif sebanyak 5 siswa (23.8%), dan kurang efektif sebanyak 0 siswa (0%). Keempat, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks pidato bedasarkan aspek kosakata terdiri dari: sangat tepat sebanyak 4 siswa (19%), tepat sebanyak 11 siswa (52.4%), cukup tepat sebanyak 5 siswa (23.8%), dan kurang tepat sebanyak 1 siswa (4.8%). Kelima, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks pidato bedasarkan aspek mekanik (ejaan dan tanda baca) terdiri dari: sangat tepat sebanyak 0 siswa (0%), tepat sebanyak 2 siswa (9.5%), cukup tepat sebanyak 6 siswa (28.6%), dan kurang tepat sebanyak 13 siswa (61.9%). Keenam, kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks pidato bedasarkan aspek sistematika terdiri dari: sangat tepat sebanyak 5 siswa (23.8%), tepat sebanyak 10 siswa (47.6%), cukup tepat sebanyak 6 siswa (28.6%), dan kurang tepat sebanyak 0 siswa (0%) . Ketujuh, faktor  penyebab rendahnya kemampuan menulis teks pidato antara lain: referensi buku tata bahasa yang kurang; penguasaan kaidah yang tidak memadai; kurangnya motivasi menulis siswa; kurangnya ketelitian dalam proses menulis; dan kurangnya penguasaan kosakata siswa. Kedelapan, upaya yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi rendahnya kemampuan menulis teks pidato antara lain: menambah koleksi buku pedoman bahasa Indonesia; meningkatkan penguasaan kaidah bahasa siswa, pembelajaran menulis menggunakan pendekatan proses, dan memperbanyak membaca dan latihan menulis. Kata kunci: teks pidato, menulis, kemampuan menulis, penilaian.
