Abstract

Abstract: The aims of this study are identifying and assessing the company resources and the capabilities of the company in which potential to produce a sustainable competitive advantage through resources based view analysis. Besides, it produces the alternative strategies in order to exploiting the resources and capabilities to create a competitive advantage for the company. This research is using qualitative case study method in order to explore and capture the phenomenon on the unit of analysis. The result shows that the company has 22 types of resources and 24 types of capabilities on the value chain activities of companies that have potential as a competitive advantage. The analysis uses the VRIO framework and it gives the results that the company only has a few resources and capabilities that can produces a temporary competitive advantage. Companies can achieve a sustainable competitive advantage by creating the formulation strategy through utilizing and exploiting the resources and capabilities of the companies. Keywords: resources based view, value chain, VRIO framework, formulation strategy

Abstract

Livestock is one of the agricultural Subsectors, which has a strategic role in economic matters in Indonesia. However, livestock faces a lot of risks, which often cause loss for the livestock business agents, especially the breeders. This research aimed to analyze a development strategy on livestock insurance pilot project. The development of the strategy is important for a company in achieving its objectives. This research also aimed to analyze external and internal factors affecting the cattle insurance pilot project implementation and to analyze the company position so that the objectives of the company on cattle insurance pilot project implementation could be determined. Furthermore, this research aimed to design a strategy on the implementation of livestock insurance pilot project, and a case study was used as the research method. The result showed that there were some external and internal factors affecting the development of livestock insurance such as brand image and company performance. The position of the company in the development of livestock insurance is to hold and maintain its position by using the strategic recommendations i.e. market penetration and product development strategy. There are 8 alternative strategies for the development of cow insurance obtained based on the strategy analysis, and there is one suitable alternative strategy obtained by SWOT analysis. The priority strategy obtained in this research by QSPM analysis is given to companies as a recommendation to establish cooperation between companies and the ministry of agriculture to socialize the implementation of livestock insurance and good breeding practice. Namun dalam pelaksanaannya subsektor peternakan menghadapi berbagai risiko yang tidak jarang memberikan kerugian bagi pelaku subsektor peternakan khususnya peternak. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis faktor lingkungan yang berpengaruh pada pelaksanaan pilot project asuransi ternak sapi pada PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia (Persero). Penelitian ini juga dilakukan untuk mengetahui posisi perusahaan dalam pelaksanaan pilot project, sehingga dapat ditentukan tujuan perusahaan dan selanjutnya akan ditentukan strategi yang sesuai untuk diimplementasikan oleh PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia sebagai pelaksana pilot project asuransi ternak sapi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus. Hasil yang diperoleh dari penelitian ini yaitu diketahui beberapa faktor lingkungan yang paling berpengaruh pada pelaksanaan pilot project asuransi ternak sapi diantaranya adalah kinerja dan brand image perusahaan serta adanya payung hukum berupa UU No 19 tahun 2013. Posisi perusahaan dalam pelaksanaan pilot project ini adalah dalam posisi pertahankan dan pelihara dengan rekomendasi strategi yaitu strategi penetrasi pasar dan strategi pengembangan produk. Pada penelitian ditentukan delapan alternatif strategi yang diperoleh dengan alat analisis SWOT dan ditentukan satu prioritas strategi yang diperoleh dengan alat analisis QSPM sebagai rekomendasi kepada perusahaan yaitu perusahaan melakukan kerjasama dengan Kementerian Pertanian untuk sosialisasi asuransi ternak sapi dan penerapan good breeding practice.Kata kunci:  strategi pengembangan, asuransi ternak sapi, pilot project, PT Asuransi Jasa Indonesia, QSPM

Abstract

Palm oil industry is one of the important industries in Indonesia, but the development only focuses on upstream industry. The government establishes downstream palm oil industry is once of the priorities development industry and will be mainstay industry in future by issues Regulation of Minister Industry No 13/2010 to support it. The aims of this study are to analyze the action plan’s implementation of downstream palm oil industry’s policy and the priority of action plan’s policy implementation based on Regulation of Minister Industry No. 13/2010. This study uses literature review, in-depth interview and questionnaire method to gather opinions from the experts and practitioners, and then analyzed using Analytical Network Process (ANP). The results of this study show that the implementing of action plan the policy of downstream palm oil industry should use priority in improving infrastructure and investment process. Especially availability public facilities such as highway, electricity generator, treatment water installation and support in pro-investment policy. The most important stakeholder is a role of central government be at the facilitators for developing downstream palm oil industry, especially on policy and support system The main recommendation of action plan implementation is improving support system on building public infrastructure process and investment like land clearance policy, investment tax policy, funding scheme and cooperation on development between state-owned corporation and private corporation.Keywords: Analytical Network Process (ANP), downstream palm oil, implementation policy  analysisABSTRAKIndustri kelapa sawit merupakan industri penting di Indonesia, namun pengembangannya masih berfokus kepada industri hulu. Pemerintah menetapkan industri hilir kelapa sawit sebagai salah satu industri prioritas yang akan dikembangkan dan menjadi industri andalan masa depan dengan menerbitkan Peraturan Menteri Perindustrian No 13 tahun 2010 untuk mendukung tujuan tersebut. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisa implementasi rencana aksi kebijakan pengembangan industri hilir kelapa sawit dan memilih prioritas rencana aksi yang diutamakan dalam Permenperin no 13 Tahun 2010. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian terdahulu, wawancara mendalam dan kuisioner dari ahli atau praktsi, selanjutnya dianalisis menggunakan analisis proses jaringan (ANP). Hasil penelitian menunjukan implementasi rencana aksi kebijakan pengembangan industri hilir kelapa sawit perlu memprioritaskan perbaikan proses infrastruktur dan investasi. khususnya ketersediaan fasilitas umum meliputi jalan raya, pembangkit listrik dan pengelolaan air bersih serta mendukung kebijakan pro-investasi. Peran terpenting pemangku kepentingan adalah peran pemerintah pusat yang menjadi fasilitator bagi pengembangan industri, khususnya terkait kebijakan dan sistem pendukungnya.  Rekomendasi utama pengembangan industri hilir kelapa sawit adalah memperbaiki sistem pendukung dalam proses pembangunan infrastruktur dan investasi seperti kebijakan pembebasan lahan, kebijakan pajak investasi, skema pembiayaan dan kerjasama pembangunan antara BUMN dan swasta. Abstract

This study was conducted to measure the implementation gap of forest and land rehabilitation (RHL) policy against its objectives, namely maintaining life support systems, and designing strategies to strengthen its subsequent implementation. This study took a case study on the implementation of RHL at Bangunjaya Village, Cigudeg District of Bogor. The assessment used three parameters based on Permenhut No P.39/Menhu-II/2010 including regional, institutional, and technological parameters as well as community participation. Each parameter was weighed by the ranking method based on interviews with the experts. The strategy design was conducted using the Analytic Network Process (ANP). The research results showed that the level of successful implementation in Bangunjaya RHL is 66.3%, categorized as "medium level". The lowest result is in the technological conformity parameter i.e. 11.57%. The design strategy is focused on increasing the success of the conformity of the technology and increase of community participation. The results of the weighting using ANP strategic priority, the priority strategy for the following RHL policy implementation to reach its target is the strengthening of the capacity in conducting activities and involving the community with a weight of 34.8%. The strengthening of the capacity includes streamlining the RHL paradigm RHL by not only growing but also enriching knowledge of overall forest utilization and technical optimization of land use.Keywords: strategic planning, policy implementation, forest and rehabilitation, Analytic Network Process (ANP)

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to examine the role of reference groups and integrated marketing communications with the intention of college selection through the mediation of attitudes and subjective norms of consumers. The analysis is done from the perspective of high school students in Indonesia as a developing country. The survey was conducted on 432 students with 91.90 percent of respondents data that can be analyzed. Data analysis and model testing are proposed using Structural Equation Modeling - Lisrel. The result of the analysis shows that there is an influence of the reference group, integrated marketing communications, attitude and subjective norm toward the intention of college selection. These results provide an overview to the college managerial to develop an integrated marketing communication strategy aimed not only at the consumers of high school students, but also those who play a role in influencing the electoral process such as schools, friends and families, especially parents. Empirically, the results of this study indicate that college consumers in Indonesia in this study are high school students assess that integrated reference groups and marketing communications have an important role in influencing their electoral intention. Subsequently found, the reference group and integrated marketing communications affect the intention of college selection with the mediation of attitude and subjective norms.

Abstract

Nowadays a Telecom Company doing a business model transformation through managed services. This term as form of outsourcing managed services for telecom companies are very attached to the cutting-edge technology that is capital intensive, therefore it needs a different outsourcing approach in order to remind the competitiveness, not just a simple outsourcing employee in generally. This approach changes the employees outsourcing paradigm in the global telecommunications industry.Company realizes that managed service are complicated to be defined, even more complicate when its executed, thus necessary to have a good business processes maturity level measurement. This study is conducted to examine the business processes maturity level that build managed services leads business model rearrangement in companies.Researchers use eTOM and IT-IL framework for business unit’s maturity level measurement at “Customer Relationship Management (CRM) - Customer Care”, which will implement outsourcing through managed service. The study results is the factors/aspects identification that related to the potential outsourced managed services, restructuring advice of manage service Governance according to the existing business processes maturity level, in the end able to provide appropriate policy recommendations as well.

Abstract

The Credit for Business Program (KUR) has achieved its determined target for delivering credit for micro, small and medium businesses. Besides achieving its target, this program also has some problems such as high non-performance loans on some participant banks. This study will build a model for audit coordination among internal audits, especially from government institutions which involve in the delivery and guarantee processes of credit for business program. The objectives of this research are to review the relevant regulations and procedures, evaluate the capabilities of internal audits involved in the credit program, evaluate the performance of the current processes, and identify determinant factors for audit coordination. The results of the study indicate that some retroactive regulations require special attention to dissemination, and about half of the half of the internal audits that signed the supervision forum are in the integrated level or even higher, based on the internal audit capability model (IACM). Sub-elements from each element of audit coordination in the independent sector were obtained by using the Interpretive Structural Modeling (ISM). These sub-elements should be prioritized before other sub-elements in designing audit coordination model.Keywords: audit coordination, internal audit, IACM, ISM, Micro creditAbstrak: Kredit usaha rakyat (KUR) telah mencapai target yang ditetapkan, yaitu menyalurkan kredit bagi usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah (UMKM). Selain mencapai target yang ditetapkan, dalam operasionalnya KUR juga mempunyai permasalahan, diantaranya adalah non performance loans tinggi pada beberapa bank pelaksana. Penelitian ini untuk membangun suatu model pengawasan terpadu antara audit internal, khususnya audit internal pada entitas pemerintah yang terlibat dalam proses penyaluran dan penjaminan KUR. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mereviu regulasi dan prosedur yang relevan, mengevaluasi kapabilitas audit internal yang terlibat dalam program KUR, mengevaluasi kinerja dari penyaluran dan penjaminan KUR, mengidentifikasi faktor penentu keberhasilan dalam membangun model pengawasan terpadu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa beberapa regulasi yang berlaku surut memerlukan perhatian khusus untuk diseminasi, sekitar setengah dari setengah dari audit internal penandatangan forum pengawasan berada dalam level integrated atau lebih baik, berdasarkan internal audit capability model (IACM). Menggunakan Interpretive Structural Modelling (ISM) diperoleh sub elemen dari setiap elemen koordinasi audit yang berada di sektor independen. Dalam membangun model pengawasan terpadu, sub elemen tersebut menjadi prioritas dibandingkan sub elemen yang berada di sektor lainnya.Kata kunci: pengawasan terpadu, audit internal, IACM, ISM, KUR

Abstract

Abstract. The waste management in Bantargebang has been planned for 15 yearsand should be improved in order to meet the needs of the stakeholders. The studyis done to find the right method to be used for integrating the waste managementin Bantargebang site. The method is a review of previous studies related toimprovement in waste management and business processes. The result suggeststhat the mapping of the process needs to be done on the waste managementsystem and using the Model-Based Integrated Process Improvement (MIPI) whichdeveloped by Adesola et al.
