Abstract

Background: The prevalence of underweight children in Demak Regency was 21%, the percentage was over the data from Central Java. Underweight will hamper the cognitive and motor development to children with a negative impact to the future. This study aims to determine the correlation between energy and protein intake, disease, parenting, attitude, knowledge, education, occupation and income with the underweight. Methods: The data used in this research is Basic Data Collecting (PDD) of Polytechnic of Health Ministry of Health Semarang. This study is an explanatory research with cross sectional design. The sampling was carried out at random (random sampling) to get 420 children as sample aged 0-59 months. Nutrition Factor (energy and protein) was gotten by Food Recall for 3 x 24 hours, Disease history factor, Parenting factors (parenting, attitudes, knowledge) and socioeconomic factors (education, occupation and income) were obtained using a questionnaire with interview methode. The Analytic analysis used chi – square test. Results: There was no correlation between intake of energy, protein intake, maternal parenting, maternal attitude, maternal knowledge, maternal education, maternal occupation, maternal income with underweight, and there is a significant correlation between children infectious disease history with underweight problem at p = 0.047 (p <0.05) OR = 1.6. Conclusion: There is significant correlation between the disease history and underweight. Need to do weight measurements regularly to observe the underweight problem to children in posyandu

Abstract

Background: Hypertension is a serious public health problem andmajor risk factor for cardiovascular disease. High consumption of potassium decrease blood pressure. One of food which contains potassium is Musa paradisiaca var.sapientum.Objective: To find out the effect of Musa paradisiaca var. sapientum on systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertension patients.Method: This was an experimental study which used randomized pre test - post test control group design conducted in Wonosoco, Kudus, involving twenty patients hypertension with systolic blood pressure 140-159 mmHg and diastolic 90-99 mmHg. Subjects were divided into two groups. The first group was a treatment received 300 grams of Musa paradisiaca var.sapientum containing 1305 mg of potassium for 5 days. The second group was a control received standart treatment.Results: Systolic and diastolic blood pressure decrease of 25,50 mmHg and 17,00 mmHg in treatment group, and decrease of 11,00mmHg and 6,00 mmHg in control group. There were difference in systolic and diastolic blood pressure before and after treatment (p<0,05). There were significant difference in systolic and diastolic blood pressure at post-test between two groups controlled by of potassium and sodium intake (p<0,05).Conclusion: Musa paradisiaca var. sapientum decreases of systolic and diastolic blood pressure in hypertension patients.

Abstract

Background : Health Care Center (Posyandu) revitalization program is aimed to upgrade its function and work performance. The figure of SKDN from month to month is monitored to find out the development of Posyandu’s activities and program in working area. If a cadre make a mistake in weighing children’s growth, it will be resulting in wrong conclusion, wrong information, and it will be ending in the wrong decision related to the next policy.  Target Research:To find out the relationship between the Knowledge of Children under Five Health Cards (KMS) Toward the Ability in Drawing the Growth Graphic In Children Health Cards (KMS) in Health Care Center (Posyandu) in Kecamatan Rembang Kabupaten Purbalingga   Method : This research uses time approach with cross sectional design and the sample 4362 cadres, sample research are one person from each 62 Posyandus. The process of analysis uses univariat by describing each research variable and bivariat to test the relationship between two variable, they are the variable of knowledge influence and the variable of influenced cadre’s ability. Each variable relatioship uses chi square or Fiher’s Exact Test. Result : Most of cadres are junior high school graduation (52%) have a good knowledge about KMS (73%), but their ability in drawing children growth graphic is lack (87%). Abstract

Background : Lead in the atmosphere can contaminate foods that is sold near the street. Lead and its organic compounds can be hazardous to health and causes various negative effects biologically. When accumulation of lead occurs in our body, it can cause disorders in hematopoietic system, nervous system, reproduction system, the function of kidney, and has an effect on the development of the brain on under-five-years-old children.Objektive : The purpose of this study is to find out the difference of wrapping, time of serving, and combination beetwen wrapping and time of serving have effect on lead concentration in street foodsMethod : This study is an analytic observational study with prospective cohort approach, this study was performed on street foods that were sold near the street in front of Java Supermall, Semarang. Total of samples were 36 samples from two types of foods, that was defined using purposive sampling method. Type of food, category of wrappings and time of serving were found out using observation and inspection, whereas the concentration of lead in food was measured using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer method.Results : The average concentration of lead was measured for each type of food, it was 4.85 ppm for kue lapis (multi-layered cake) and 5.39 ppm for gethuk lindri (noodle-like cassava cake). The average concentration of lead in food that was completely wrapped was 2.91 ppm, whereas for food that was only one-half wrapped was 8.01 ppm. The average concentration of lead at 0 hour (at 01.00 pm West Indonesia Time) was 2.79 ppm, 5.41 ppm at 2 hours (at 03.00 pm West Indonesia Time) and 7.10 ppm at 4 hours (at 05.00 pm West Indonesia Time).Conclution : The difference of wrappings, time of serving, and combination beetwen wrapping and time of serving have effect on lead concentration in street foods.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Program Kadarzi di Kota Tegal telah dilaksanakan sejak tahun 2003. Dari hasil pemantauan belum semua keluarga menjadi keluarga sadar gizi. Adapun capaian Kadarzi  di kota Tegal adalah 52,83 % (target 76 % tahun 2011) sedangkan di Puskesmas Tegal Barat Kelurahan Kraton baru mencapai 32,4 %.5 Agar diperoleh perubahan perilaku kesehatan khususnya Kadarzi , diperlukan adanya pemberian Informasi. Pemberian informasi akan meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang hal tersebut. Pemberian informasi dengan model Pemberdayaan keluarga menitikberatkan pada peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku Kadarzi melalui pengembangan konseling dan KIE .Konseling adalah model komunikasi antar pribadi yang paling baik, karena di dalam cara ini antara komunikator atau konselor dengan komunikan atau klien terjadi dialog.Tujuan Penelitian :  Mengetahui besar efektivitas konseling ibu terhadap perilaku Kadarzi di Kelurahan Kraton Kecamatan Tegal Barat.Metode : Rancangan penelitian ini dengan Randomized Pretest dan Post test Control Group Design dan jenis penelitian True Experiment dengan  memberikan perlakuan berupa konseling Kadarzi pada ibu balita di Kelurahan Kraton Kecamatan Tegal Barat yang selanjutnya diberlakukan sebagai kelompok perlakukan. Kelompok kontrol adalah ibu balita di kelurahan Kraton yang tidak mendapat perlakuan Konseling..  Populasi penelitian adalah semua keluarga sebanyak 885 keluarga.Besar sample yang dibutuhkan 37 ibu balita. Pengambilan sample dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik sampling proporsional simple random. Uji statistic dengan Kai Kuadrat dengan derajat kemaknaan pada α 0,05 serta menghitung besar Efektivitas.Hasil : Hasil analisa statistik menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan perilaku kadarzi sebelum konseling antara kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok control p value = 0,812. Ada perbedaan perilaku kadarzi sesudah konseling antara kelompok perlakuan dan control p value = 0,004. Besar Efektivitas konseling = 60 %.Kesimpulan : Tingkat keberhasilan pemberian konseling adalah 60% dalam menaikan status kadarzi.

Abstract

Latar Belakang  : Diabetes melitustipe 2 merupakan penyakit diabetes melitus  dengan penyebab utama adalah pola makan (life style) yang tidak sehat. Pengaturan terapi diet memegang peranan penting dalam pengendalian kadar gula darah. Rainbow smoothies adalah salah satu modifikasi diet yang disajikan sebagai minuman segar kaya nutrisi, tinggi serat dan rendah IG serta dapat menurunkan kadar gula darah pasien DM tipe 2.Tujuan : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas rainbow smoothies terhadap penurunan kadar gula darah pada pasien DM Tipe 2 di klub senam.Metode  : Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimental dengan randomized pre test-post test control group design. Subyek penelitian dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok yaitu kelompok perlakuan dan kelompok kontrol dengan pengukuran kadar gula darah puasa sebanyak 3 kali selama 10 hari. Uji normalitas menggunakan Shapiro-Wilk, kemudian dianalisis dengan uji repetead measure test.Hasil : Data yang dikumpulkan berdistribusi normal dan menunjukkan adanya penurunan kadar gula darah secara bermaknasebelum dan sesudah perlakuan (p<0,05). Penurunan kadar gula darah pada kelompok perlakuanyang diberi rainbow smoothies paling efektif hingga 43,75%  dibandingkan dengan kelompok kontrol. Terdapatperbedaan nilai rata-rata kadar gula darah pasien DM Tipe 2.

Abstract

Latar Belakang : Anak balita merupakan salah satu golongan penduduk yang rawan terhadap masalah gizi. Mereka mengalami pertumbuhan dan perkembangan yang pesat  pada rentang waktu ini sehingga membutuhkan suplai makanan dan gizi dalam jumlah yang cukup dan memadai. Kurang gizi pada saat balita dapat menimbulkan gangguan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan secara fisik, mental, social, intelektual yang sifatnya menetap dan terus dibawa sampai dewasa.Tujuan : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian makanan tambahan pemulihan pada balita gizi    kurang terhadap perubahan status gizi di wilayah Puskesmas Kramat Kabupaten Tegal.Metode : Penelitian in menggunakan jenis penelitian analitik, desain penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah penelitian cohort dalam rancangan dilakukan non randomisassi.Sampel penelitian adalah 23 balita yang mendapat PMT Pemulihan dan 23 balita yang tidak diberikan PMT Pemulihan yang akan dijadikan kelompok control. Analisa peneliti menggunakan uji statistik menganalisa pengaruh pemberian PMT Pemulihan terhadap perubahan status gizi  menggunakan uji Anacova Repeated Meansure dengan α  0,05.Hasil :Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh pemberian makanan tambahan pemulihan pada balita gizi kurang  terhadap perubahan  status gizi (p value 0,012).Kesimpulan : Kesimpulan dalam penelitian ini adalah status gizi  kelompok pembanding nilai rata-rata Z skor sebelum -2,426, bulan ke-1 yaitu -2,052, bulan ke-2 yaitu -2,157 dan pada bulan ke-3 -2,783. Status gizi kelompok perlakuan status gizi sebelum perlakukan adalah -2,504, bulan ke-1 -2,222, bulan ke-2 yaitu -1,190 dan bulan ke tiga rata-rata z skor menjadi -1,280. Penulis mengharapkan bagi dinas kesehatan agar meningkatkan efisiensi paket PMTP dengan dilaksanakan proses pendampingan program PMTP agar paket yang diberikan benar-benar tepat sasaran dan dapat diterima anak balita sasaran.

Abstract

Background : Kadarzi Program has been implemented since 2003. From the results of monitoring have yet to all be family conscious family nutrition. As for the Kadarzi product in the city of Tegal is 52,83% (76% of target in 2011), while in the West of the Palace Kelurahan Tegal Clinics recently reached 32.4%. In order to change health behavior in particular acquired Kadarzi, the granting of necessary information. Provision of the information would enhance public knowledge about it.Granting information by model pemberdayaan family knowledge, focusing on increased the attitudes and behavior counseling and kie kadarzi through development Conseling is a good interpersonnal communication, because in this model, relation between communicator or counselor and clients is happened. And the kind of research true experiment by providing treatment of Kadarzi counseling on the toddler in kelurahan Tegal Barat  next treated as group treat. The control group is mother fives in kelurahan palace which do not get treatment counseling.Objective :The purpose of the study is determined the effectiveness of counseling the mother to behavior Kadarzi in Kelurahan Kraton Kecamatan Tegal Barat. The population of study are 885 family. The samples are needed 37 mother who has toddler. Sample-taking is using propotional simple random sampling  technique. Test statistic with Kai quadrat with degree of significance α = 0,05 and counting great effectiveness.Method : This study was designed as an quasi experiment using  randomized pretest and posttest Control Group Design. Result : result of analysis shows there is no difference between the counseling Kadarzi before treatment group and cluster of control p value = 0,812. After counseling kadarzi behavior is different between treatment group dan cluster of control p value = 0,004.Conclusion : The effectiveness of counseling is 60 %.

Abstract

Background : Diabetes mellitus is a condition in which blood levels in the body is high due to a disruption in the pancreas gland so the body can not produce or can not use insulin. Diabetes mellitus type 2 is a type of diabetes mellitus that does not depend on insulin or better known as non-insulin-dependent. Prevalence of Diabetes Mellitus in Central Java was ranked 2nd out of 8 new cases of PTM (Non Communicable Disease), with a percentage of 18.44%. Control efforts can be done by eating high-fiber foods, one of the foods that contain fiber is high enough and potentially lower blood glucose levels, namely bengkuang. Objective: To determine the effect of bengkuang juice on fasting blood glucose level in type 2 diabetes mellitus. Research Methods : Type of quasy experiment study with pretest-posttest control group design. The population is patients of type 2 diabetes mellitus aged 40-60 years in the work area of Kedungmundu Public Health Center in April as many as 60 people. Sampling using non randomized sampling technique. The sample size is 36 people divided into 18 treatment groups and 18 control groups. Intervention given in the form ofbengkuang juice for 14 days. Multivariate test using anova repeated measured.Results : The giving of bengkuang juice controlled by nutrient intake (energy, protein, fat, carbohydrate and fiber) showed no significant effect on decreasing fasting blood glucose level (p = 0.344). Conclusion: Bengkuang juice has no significant effect on decreasing fasting blood glucose level in type 2 diabetes mellitus.

Abstract

Background : The toddler is one of the population groups that are vulnerable to nutritional problems. They are experiencing rapid growth and development in this period of time and thus require the supply of food and nutrition in sufficient quantities and adequate. Malnutrition in infancy can lead to impaired growth and development of the physical, mental, social, intellectual nature persist and continue to be carried into adulthood.Objective : The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of supplemental feeding on infant malnutrition recovery to changes in nutritional status in the Puskesmas Kramat Tegal regency.Method : Research in using this type of analytical research, research design used in this study was a cohort study conducted in the design of non randomisassi. The research sample was 23 children who received food supplement to recovery and 23 infants who were not given food supplement to recovery that will be the control group. Analysis researchers used statistical tests to analyze the effect of food supplement recovery to changes in nutritional status using test Anacova Repeated Meansure with α 0.05.Results : The results showed that there was the influence of supplementary feeding on infant malnutrition recovery to changes in nutritional status (p value 0.012).Conclusion : The conclusion of this research is the nutritional status of the comparator group average Z score before -2.426, month-1 is -2.052, month-2 is -2.157 and -2.783 3rd month. The nutritional status nutritional status prior to treatment groups treatment was -2.504, -2.222 month 1, month 2 is -1.190 and three months to an average z score to -1.280. The author expects for the health department in order to improve the efficiency of the implemented processes packets food supplement to recovery. Food supplement to recovery mentoring program so that a given package is really right on target and acceptable to children under five goals.
