Abstract

Telahdilakukan kegiatan penelitian pembuatan dan penentuan nilai bahan acuan atau in-housereference material (RM) zirkonium oksida dengan mengacu pada standar ISO:35-2006. Bahanbaku kandidat RM adalah ZrO2 dari Merck seberat 4 kg yang dikeringkan pada suhu 90°Cselama 2×6 jam dalam ruangan tertutup. Selanjutnya sampel digerus dengan alu stainless steel(SS) hingga lolos ayakan berukuran ≤ 200 mesh, dihomogenkan dalam homogenizer selama3×6 jam agar diperoleh sampel yang halus, kering dan homogen. Uji kadar air, homogenitas,dan stabilitas sampel dilakukan masing-masing dengan metode gravimetri, XRF dan AAS.Serbuk kandidat RM ZrO2 kemudian dimasukkan ke dalam botol-botol polietilen masing-masingseberat 100 g. Selanjutnya sampel kandidat didistribusikan kepada 10 Laboratorium Pengujianyang telah terakreditasi untuk pengujian komposisi kandungan oksida dan hilang pijar (LOI)dengan berbagai metode analisis yang sudah tervalidasi seperti AAS, XRF, AAN, dan UV-Vis.Hasil uji kandungan parameter oksida dan hilang pijar dari berbagai laboratorium diolah denganmetode statistik. Dari data uji berbagai laboratorium tersebut diperoleh kadar oksida dan LOIdalam kandidat bahan standar zirkonium oksida yaitu ZrO2: 97,7334 ± 0,0016 %, HfO2: 1,7329± 0,0024 %, SiO2: 30,1224 ± 0,0053 %, Al2O3: 0,0245 ± 0,0015 %, TiO2: 0,0153 ± 0,0006 %,Fe2O3: 0,0068 ± 0,0005 %, CdO: 3,1798 ± 0,00006 ppm, dan LOI = 0,0217 ± 0,00022 %.Kata kunci: in-house reference material, ZrO2, ISO:35-2006

Abstract

The synthesis method of in-house zircon minerals certified reference material (CRM) from Kalimantan (Tumbang Titi), and Bangka has been studied with statistical method of ISO 13528-2008 and ISO 35-2006. Zircon Minerals weighing of 10 kg, and it was dried at 90 °C for 2 × 6 h in a closed room, then crushed with a Ball-Mill up to passes 200 mesh, and homogenized in a homogenizer for 3 × 6 h. The water content in zircon minerals powder is tested by gravimetric method, whereas the homogeneity and stability assessed by statistical methods. Zircon mineral powders are distributed to seven accredited testing laboratory for testing the composition and content of the oxides with the validated analytical methods. Standardization and characterization of candidate zircon mineral certified reference materials are done by using XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) and used standard materials of JCRM R 502 from Japan. The test results of oxide concentrations from various laboratories processed with statistical methods. From the data by test laboratories obtained 40 bottles of the prototype in-house certified reference materials zircon mineral powders from Kalimantan and Bangka with a capacity of 100 g. Based on standardization and characterization test data obtained a major chemical compound on zircon minerals Kalimantan and Bangka similar to the standard that is ZrSiO4. This in-house CRM is traced to certified reference materials from Japan (JCRM-502).
