Abstract

AbstractThe aims of this research are to know the ffictiveness of STAD method as one of thecooperative teaching method and compared it with the conventional one. The effectiveness parametersused was the sudent achievement on biology. This research held upon the student of the first grade andof the 2il semester of SMP Negeri 10 Siiakarta in academic yiar of 2004/2005. Clustered randomsampling technique was used upon two classes i.e the treatment class (using STAD method) andconventional one. Data obtained was then analyzed by t-test.The research concluded that application STAD on facing the curriculum 2004 is a goodteaching method. Abstract

AbstractThis is the descriptive-quantitative research which aimed to know the student achievement on biologywhich specify in a view point of their learning method, motivation and EQ. Acceleration class program of2d grade student of SMA Negeri III Surakarta was the object of this research. Clustered random salmplingwas used to collect the data, which was held by questionaire and documentation. Analysis of Variance wasused to analyze the data.The result showed that any learning method was suitable for the student of acceleration pragrams,since we know that they have the more prominent academic ability. Various EQ and learning motivationwere occur, then can be concluded that EQ and learning motivation were still affected their achievement.Key words : Acceleration class programs, Student achievement

Abstract

The purposes of this research were to find the contribution of the teacher’s competence and student’s emotional quotient toward the achievement on biologi of the student of SMU Negeri 2 Sukoharjo in the academic year of 2004/2005. The study carried out by descriptive quantitative method. The population of the study was all student of the second grade in SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo, in the academic year of 2004/2005. The sampling teachnique used in the study was random sampling. The technique used for collecting data were questionnaire and documentation technique. The data were then analized by regression analysis. Considering upon the result, the research concluded that there were significant contribution of the : (1) Teacher’s competence to biological learning achievement (rx1y = 0,450 at the level of significant 5 %); (2) Student’s emotional quotient to biological learning achievement (rx2y = 0,410 at the level of significant 5 %); (3) Teacher’s competence and student’s emotional quotient (R = 0,5373 at the level of significant 5 %). Teacher’s competence gives a dominant contribution on biological learning achievement at 56,49%. Teacher’s competence and student’s emotional intelligence give effective contributions on biological learning achievement at 28,8%. Abstract

The objective of this research was to know the significant correlation between profession awareness, previous school belonging and perception toward teaching with acquisition of sudy yield on the student of gruduate-degree equalizing program of PGSM on the department of Mathematics and Natural Science Education. Descriptive analysis characterized by expost facto was used. Data was collected upon 40 student of PGSM. Anareg md Anatysis of Variant with dummy variables were used with the degree of significant if p>0.05. The result showed that thqe is a positive correlation, which is not significant between profession awareness, previous school belonging and the perception toward teaching with acquisition of study yield on the student (R=406; p=0,086, thus p>0,05). Abstract

Abstract : Knee Joint Pain , acupuncture points Zusanli (ST.36) , Ying Linquan (SP.9) , Shensu (BL.23) and Taixi (KI.3). The purpose of this study is to know the benefits of Zusanli point (ST.36), Yinglinquan (SP.9), Shensu (BL.23) and Taixi (KI.3) to reduce the sensation of pain in the knee joints Acupuncture Clinic Orthopedic Hospital Prof. DR. Soeharso Surakarta. This method is a quasi experimental study , using a study design One Group Pre-test and post test control design. This research use saturated samples that all patients who visit the Acupuncture Clinic Orthopedic Hospital Prof DR Soeharso, totaling 39 people. This study begins with the observational study (as a pre-test) to determine the status of the patients pain before the action of acupuncture research subjects. Then followed a series of action of acupuncture for pain measurement and knee pain at the time of the mid-series and at the end of the series the action of acupuncture. Measurement of pain sensation using Bourbanis Scale (patient pain scores sendiriyang set in the range of pain TSB) . Data analysis using SPSS series 15 with Paired Sample Test approach and the significant level of 95 %. Results of data analysis showed that the point Zusanli (ST.36), Yinglinquan (SP.9), Shensu (BL.23) and Taixi (KI.3) has the benefit of reducing the intensity of pain knee joint pain is significantly indicated by Paired Sample Test of 0.000. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui manfaat titik Zusanli (ST.36), Yinglinquan (SP.9), Shensu (BL.23) dan Taixi (KI.3) untuk mengurangi sensasi sakit sendi lutut di Klinik Akupunktur RS Ortopedi Prof.DR. Soeharso Surakarta. Metoda penelitian ini yaitu quasi eksperimental, menggunakan rancangan penelitian One Group Pre test dan Post test control design. Penelitian inimenggunakan sampel jenuh yaitu semua pasien yang berkunjung di Klinik Akupunktur RS Ortopedi Prof DR Soeharso, berjumlah 39 orang. Penelitian ini diawali dengan penelitian pengamatan (sebagai pre test) untuk menetapkan status nyeri pasien subyek penelitian sebelum tindakan akupunktur. Kemudian dilanjutkan tindakan akupunktur selama satu seri dan dilakukan pengukuran sensasi sakit nyeri lutut pada saat pertengahan seri dan di akhir seri tindakan akupunktur. Pengukuran sensasi nyeri menggunakan Skala Bourbanis (pasien sendiriyang menetapkan skore nyeri pada rentang nyeri tsb). Analisis data menggunakan program SPSS seri 15 dengan pendekatan Paired Sample Test dan taraf signifikan 95%. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa titik Zusanli (ST.36), Yinglinquan (SP.9), Shensu (BL.23) dan Taixi (KI.3)memiliki manfaat untuk mengurangi intensitas sakit nyeri sendi lutut secara signifikan ditunjukkan dengan nilai Paired Sample Test sebesar 0,000.Kata kunci: Nyeri sendi lutut, Titik akupunktur Zusanli (ST.36), Ying linquan (SP.9), Shensu (BL.23) dan Taixi (KI.3)
