Figure of community support in achieving Muhammadiyah school autonomy progress

Abstract

School autonomy can not be separated from support factor. This study aimed to determine source and form of community support and contribution in realizing autonomous in Muhammadiyah schools. This research development is part of dissertation conducted with five stages: define, design, model development, model validation, and model use. The study was conducted at SMP Muhammadiyah, Sleman Regency, with 280 respondents; consist of principals, teachers, staff, students, and ministerial assemblies of Dikdasmen. Data collection technique used: interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use quantitative inferential analysis, EFA and CFA techniques. The results showed that form and source of support for Muhammadiyah schools is internal as well as external. School support also comes from internal and external support, such as: committee, parents, stakeholders, foundation, education official, collages, and related institutions. Directly and indirectly effect, contribution of school supporting component (Bac) to be school autonomous (Kms) up to 0.30.

Abstract

Higher education is currently in the rapid change process. These changes are driven by many factors, both internal and external. Some trends in higher education in the development of one of them is a wider social context. People feel more comfortable with using the internet as a tool in the day-to-day. Information and communication technologies has important role on improving teaching and learning process. The aim of this research is to determine whether the student IT literacy medium influence the learning achievement of good science. This research is a quantitative research using multivariate statistical analysis techniques. The result is that IT literacy has no effect on learning achievement. This phenomenon is the paradox on learning and ICT issues.

Abstract

In general, internal conflicts in the education management occurred due to poor leadership. This study is a qualitative study with a phenomenological approach. The subject of the study is Graduate Program of University Ahmad Dahlan which manages five master programs. Determination of each of people which considers his/her competence, knowledge, experience and personal attributes will affect to performance and operational leadership roles, organizational, and public. Cross-departmental activities and external parties become a focus for leadership in achieving the vision and mission of the organization.

Abstract

Usaha-usaha peningkatan kesehatan organisasi di perusahaan yang cenderung hanya fokus pada finansial, terbukti belum dapat memenuhi harapan stakeholder. Salah satu pendekatan yang digunakan untuk melakukan perencanaan kinerja yang komprehensif adalah dengan menggunakan BSC yang dapat untuk mengidentifikasi indikator-indikator kinerja yang mendukung visi dan misi dan mengukur pencapaian kinerja perusahaan. Dengan analisis BSC dan AHP diketahui tiga komponen atau indikator kinerja yang paling berpengaruh pada perusahaan adalah Karyawan yang Berdisiplin dan Bertanggung Jawab (0.833), kapabilitas kerja (0.582) dan kualitas layanan (0.486). Perbaikan pada internal organisasi diharapkan akan dapat meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan. Hal ini juga bersesuaian dengan skor tertinggi yang diperoleh ada pada proses bisnis internal (7.5)

Abstract

Telah dilakukan studi analisis content buku ajar termodinamika dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan penggunaan modul berbasis Technological Pedagogical And Content Knowledge (TPACK) pada mata kuliah termodinamika. TPACK merupakan pengetahuan yang menggabungkan hubungan antara teknologi, pedagogik, dan konten secara sinergis. Metode penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini untuk menganalisis isi dari buku-buku referensi yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan angket. Hasil analisis kandungan TPACK pada buku ajar I, buku ajar II, buku ajar III masing-masing didapatkan prosentase sebesar 15,38%, 20%, dan 28,57%. Hasil angket responden 23 mahasiswa pendidikan fisika menyatakan bahwa 87% mahasiswa menyatakan perlunya dikembangkan modul termodinamika berbasis TPACK yang mendukung pemahaman konsep.

School environment role towards elementary school students’ moral and cultural literacy

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the school environment on moral and cultural literacy of elementary school students. This is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, questionnaire, and documentation. Data analysis techniques are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions. Data validity using triangulation. Triangulation is to ensure the data validity that takes into consideration aspects of credibility, transferability, dependability, and confirmability. The subjects are 3 teachers and 27 students of 4th, 5th and 6th grade in Muhammadiyah School of Sleman Regency. The results of this study are (1) teachers-students’ relationships have role to foster the character of honesty, fairness, caring, and teachers as role model for students; (2) students-students’ relationships also have role to habituate good behavior to students; (3) school discipline contributes to the students’ moral and cultural formation such as self-awareness, honesty, justice, responsibility, obedience to the rules, good commitment and unfazed by the changing era; (4) these learning implements have role in self-awareness, responsibility and care, because the teaching implements provided by the teachers becomes the students’ responsibility.

Abstract

Abstract The background of this quasy experimental research is the lack of students’ independency in carrying out experiments, the low integration of information technology to explore student ability, also PLE approach that has not been widely implemented in learning. The purpose of this research, which is implemented PLE approach in the physics experiment to increase: independent and experiment abilities also the skill to make experiment report of high school student. The research was conducted from April until May 2015 at senior high school at Yogyakarta. The results of the research show that implementation PLE in the experiment: affect students in the determine the converging lens focus; in adjust theory and experimental purpose; and to conclude the experimental process and report. Abstrak Penelitian eksperimen ini dilatarbelakangi kekurang mandirian siswa berpraktikum, kurang maksimalnya peran teknologi informasi untuk menggali potensi siswa, serta pendekatan PLE yang belum banyak diimplementasikan di pembelajaran. Sedangkan tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mengimplementasikan pendekatan PLE pada praktikum fisika untuk meningkatkan kemandirian, kemampuan praktikum serta keterampilan membuat laporan praktikum fisika pada siswa SMA. Penelitian dilakukan bulan April hingga Mei 2015 di SMA Negeri 3 Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implementasi PLE dalam praktikum: mempengaruhi kemampuan siswa menentukan fokus lensa cembung; menghubungkan dasar teori dengan tujuan praktikum; dan menyimpulkan hasil praktikum (proses maupun laporan). Kata kunci: Personal Learning Environtments, praktikum fisika, kemandirian.

ANALISIS HASIL SUPERVISI AKADEMIK GURU SEKOLAH MENENGAH PERTAMA DI PURWOREJO, JAWA TENGAH

Abstract

Telah dilakukan studi observasi terhadap guru-guru di SMPN 36 Purworejo Jawa Tengah. Tujuan dari observasi supervisi ini untuk mengevaluasi guru berdasarkan kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, sosial, dan profesional. Kegiatan supervisi akademik meliputi beberapa tahapan, yaitu: persiapan supervisi akademik, pelaksanaan supervisi, evaluasi supervisi, dan tindak lanjut supervisi. Dari 7 sampel guru yang telah disupervisi, nilai rata-rata dari kompetensi pedagogik 91,7%, rata-rata kompetensi kepribadian 94,4%, rata-rata kompetensi sosial 87,5%, dan rata-rata kompetensi profesional sebesar  94,4%. Adapun jika dilihat  secara individual, didapatkan  prosentasi perolehan guru untuk semua kompetensi untuk guru A sebesar 82,14%, guru B, C dan D mendapatkan nilai sebesar  87,5%, guru E sebesar 100% serta guru F mempunyai nilai 96,43%. Dari hasil analisis supervisi, didapatkan bahwa hampir semua guru mendapatkan hasil yang baik dengan nilai rata-rata 3,5 atau rata-rata skor pencapaian seluruh guru yang disupervisi adalah 90,18%. Akan tetapi guru banyak  masih memiliki kelemahan dalam manajemen pembelajaran baik dalam pencarian metode maupun alat pembelajaran. Tindak lanjut dari hasil supervisi akademik ini antara lain perlu adanya workshop pembuatan media pembelajaran, perlu mengadakan Motivasi Traning bagi guru, serta perlunya guru dikirim ke kegiatan MGMP Kabupaten untuk diklat khusus   metode atau strategi pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research is a quasi-experimental research and research design used is pretest post-test control group design. This study aims to determine the outcomes of learning physics by learners who taught conventionally, to determine the outcomes of learning physics by learners who the taught cooperative learning model type pair checks and to determine significant difference between the result of physics learning by learners who taught in a conventional and are taught by cooperative learning model type pair checks. The sample of this study were 48 students, consist of 24 students in the experimental class and 24 students in the control class. The average value of the experimental class students is 84.58. For the average value of the control, class students are 80.33.The results of the analysis carried out by using the t-test obtained t value of 4.2 with Sig. (2-tailed) of 0,000 with a significant level of 5%. Therefore the value of Sig. (2-tailed) <0.05, it can be said that there are significant differences in physics learning outcomes between the control class and the experimental class that use the cooperative learning model type pair checks.
