Abstract

This research aimed to know the culture of student’s discipline and ethics at the Muhammadiyah 1 Alternatif elementaryschool in Magelang.Research design use qualitative descriptive research to interpret an existing data and describing by sentence that finally we can conclude. The analysis of the data derived from observation, interviews, documentation, then the data is grouped later reunited subsequent theories have to be justified by the research and finally drawn a condusion that can understood. The object of this study include the culture of discipline and ethics of student learning. Culture of discipline and learning ethics were collected by triangulation method. The study subjects consisted of principals, teachers, and students at Muhammadiyah 1 Alternatif Elementary School Magelang City. The student’s discipline and learning ethic can be observe from 14 indicator and 33 item were measure using interviews and observation instrument. Data analysis technique used descriptive qualitative analysis and thematic analysis.The result show that culture has an influence student discipline in supporting student learning ethics. A good student discipline will be a good student learning ethics.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effect of group counseling techniques of self-control in reducing the anxiety of student learning. The study was conducted on students of SMP N 12 City of Magelang. Design of this research is pre experiment with one group pretest posttest design. Samples taken as many as 10 incoming students in the experimental group, namely the group treated (group counseling techniques of self-control). The technique of sampling using purposive sampling. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires. The results showed students’ anxiety decreased after attending group counseling techniques of self-control. Decreased anxiety, learning siswaditunjukkan with a reduction in post test scores, the average score pre test which was originally 125.10 after a given treatment group counseling techniques of self-control showed a decrease in the average post-test score tmenjadi 104.50 with significant value 0.005. This is also evidenced by the change in student behavior. Students who originally did not have a responsibility to behavior which is often out of class at the turn of lesson hours and did not seriously follow the lessons after a given treatment group counseling techniques become more self control can control the behavior that is detrimental to him during the process of learning. Based on this it can be concluded that the self-control group counseling techniques to decrease anxiety affect student learning.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out the correlation between apperception with learning motivation. 46 fifth graders were considered as the population. This study employed total population sampling method which involved examining the entire population of interest. The data were collected through questionnaire, interview, and observation. The variables were the apperception performed by the teachers (X) and the student’s learning motivation (Y). Product-Moment Correlation was used to analyze the data and performed using SPSS Version 16.0. The result revealed that there was correlation between apperception and student’s learning motivation with the Pearson’s r value of 0.685 and strong positive correlation between the two variables with the sig. value of 0.00<0.005. The apperception performed by the teacher contributed 47% of student’s learning motivation while 53% were influenced by other factors.

Abstract

The relationship between the school community is essentially a very important tool in fostering and developing the growth of learners in school, the school as a larger social system for achieving educational goals effectively and efficiently. Empowering the community and the school environment is a key kebehasilan school learners. Schools are required to make co-operation between parents / guardians of students understanding between educational institutions, parents, and community to the success of education became a shared responsibility.Participation of parents / guardians of students are involved in a real / direct form of ideas, ideas, criticism, constructive support in the implementation of education for parents / guardians of students is a partner to deliver learners achieve my goals and personality formation, and establish communication intensive , proactive, professional, (parents / guardians of students called the school committee).

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of Person Centered can improve interpersonal communication students in class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Magelang City.The method used in this study is action research guidance and counseling using a cycle consisting of: (1) planning the action, (2) the implementing measures, (3) observation / observation and reflection, (4) evaluation. The data collection techniques used interviews and observations, to determine changes increase interpersonal communication skills in class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Magelang.The results of this study showed the improvement students interpersonal communication skills after three cycles treatments. At the end of cycles, student interpersonal communication skills increase until 83%. It can be concluded that the Person Centered approach can be applied to improve communication skills Interpersonal class VIII SMP Negeri 13 G in Magelang City School.

Abstract

This paper aims to determine the level of development, the ideal of progress of private universities in accordance with the demands, desires of the community. The essence of national education policy is the tendency of educational development is directed to the needs, demands of modern society, education Reflections on Private Higher output (graduates) can compensate for lack of absorption stikholder (users employment), so there is understanding of the quality of graduates of private universities were considered less good. The development of private higher education between expectations and reality there are several things to note are: a) the unity of teaching, research and community service; b) disciplinary approach; c) Cooperation is not imposed; d) The silence and e) Freedom. New educational paradigms in private universities improve the quality of academic, administrative, student affairs led to a satisfactory outcome (a professional labor-oriented needs of the community). The role of private universities is very large, because public universities in the conduct of  Tri Dharma universities, public expectations of private universities is very high (large enough), because private universities aspire to the intellectual life of the nation. The elements that support the accountability, quality, relevance, institutional autonomy and cooperation network.

Abstract

Abstract

Meningkatkan keefektifan sekolah dalam penguatan pendidikan karakter diperlukan berbagai perubahan. Perubahan yang diperlukan mencakup berbagai aspek, dari perubahan cara pandang atau mindset pada komunitas sekolah dan pihak-pihak yang berkepentingan.Penguatan pendidikan karakter yang perlu dikembangkan dan diimplementasikan pada siswa pendidikan dasar adalah pendidikan karakter keberagamaan, kejujuran, tanggung jawab, kedisiplinan, etos kerja, kemandirian, kreatif dan inovatif, visioner, kasih sayang dan kepedulian, keadilan, keikhlasan, kesederhanaan serta nilai-nilai moral lainnya yang dirasa mendukung pendidikan karakter. Sebaiknya pendidikan karakter ditanamkan sejak usia dini. Usia paling sesuai untuk menanamkan pendidikan karakter adalah usia di bawah 10 tahun. Hal itu disebabkan sifat dan karakter seseorang saat dewasa sangat dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman ketika masih anak-anak. Melalui sosial media sebagai sarana implementasi penguatan pendidikan karakterdi sekolah, diharapkan dapat memberikan solusi yang efektif dalam pembelajaran di sekolah.
