Abstract

This study aims to identify the classification of food crops in the position of the regional economy in support of food security Semarang regency. Methods of data analysis is to determine the classification of food crops in the district of Semarang using Klassen Typology approach. Production of paddy in 2013 until 2015 always increase production. The increase in production is supported by the improvement of irrigation facilities, the provision of seeds, insecticides and fertilizers as well as farmers' cropping pattern is expected to boost rice production. As for crops that are developed in the district of Semarang are corn, soybean, cassava, sweet potatoes, and peanuts. Classification of agricultural commodities in the district of Semarang using Klassen Typology analysis resulted in four classifications of agricultural commodities as follows: (1) Prima Commodity (rice); (2) Development Commodities (cassava and yam); (3) Potential Commodity (corn); (4) Retarded Commodities (soybeans and peanuts).Keywords: commodity, food crops, Klassen Typology

Abstract

Meat, egg, and milk are represent yielded product by livestock. There are very important as source of required animal protein to human life. These days, resident of Indonesia amounting to not less than 250 million people. There are of course require big enough livestock production also utilize to fullfiil requirement of society to requirement of the animal protein. In effort ?ranch, feed have important role in determining growth rate as well as determining amount and quality from yielded product by livestock. The feed also represen the biggest production cost factor in effort ranch that is around 60-70% from production total cost. Considering is important of the feed, hence needing the existence of serious attention to availibility of feed, so that earning available a speel of, so that the effort ranch of people can continue to go forward and expand to utilize can fullfill requirement of society to animal protein. Therefore this writing aim to know efforts which can be conducted to realize feed security in Indonesia utilize to guarantee the continuity of the effort rench of people, so that we can fullfill requirement of society animal protein self sufficiency. Abstract

The experiment was conducted to determine the effect of probiotics in diet?on performance ( feed consumption, weight gain, and feed conversion) of ducks.?Two ?hundred ?of ?day ?old ?ducks ?were ?divided ?into ?five ?dietary ?treatments. ?Each?treatment was replicated four times with ten ducks per replicate. The five dietary?treatments ?were ?P0 ?(diet ?without ?the ?addition ?of ?probiotics), ?P1 ?(diet ?plus?probiotics ?5 ?ml/l), ?P2 ?(diet ?plus ?probiotics ?10 ?ml/l), ?P3 ?(diet ?plus ?probiotics ?15?ml/l) and ?P4 (diet plus probiotics 20 ml/l). Five dietary treatments and drinking?water ?were ?given ?ad ?libitum. ?The ?collected ?data ?were ?analysed ?using ?analysis?variance ?of ?completely ?randomized ?design ?and ?continued ?by ?Duncan?s ?New?Multiple ?Range ?Test ?if ?analysis ?of ?the ?variance ?indicated ?significant ?difference.?The ?result ?showed ?that ?addition ?of ?probiotic ?levels ?in ?diet ?on ?duck ?was?significantly different on weight gain and feed conversion ratio of duck. Diet with?probiotic ?15 ?ml/l ?(P3) ?resulted ?good ?performance ?of ?duck. ?It ?gave ?an ?average?weight of 1,366 g, 2.07 feed conversion and feed consumtion 2,829 for six weeks.Keywords: Duck, Probiotic, Performance.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan ini adalah untuk memberikan solusi bagi permasalahan mitra kelompok tani ternak sapi perah yakni: (i) memperbaiki proses produksi berupa aplikasi alat perajang/pencacah rumput dan singkong, (ii) memberikan pelatihan produksi diversifikasi produk susu sapi yakni sabun susu sapi disertai dengan aplikasi alat mixer yang digunakan dalam proses produksi sabun susu sapi, (iii) memberikan pelatihan desain kemasan, (iv) memberikan pelatihan manajemen usaha kecil, dan (v) memberikan pelatihan perijinan. Adapun target kegiatan adalah perbaikan proses produksi melalui aplikasi mesin perajang rumput dan singkong, pelatihan proses produksi sabun susu sapi, penggunaan alat mixer pada proses produksi sabun susu sapi, pelatihan desain kemasan sabun susu sapi, pelatihan manajemen usaha, dan pelatihan perijinan. Metode yang digunakan guna mencapai tujuan adalah sebagai berikut: (i) perbaikan proses produksi akan dilakukan dengan merancang, mempabrikasi alat perajang rumput oleh tim pengusul bersama mitra serta menguji coba alat. Pabrikasi dilakukan di Workshop tim pengusul, (ii) pelatihan proses produksi sabun susu sapi  dilakukan dengan tahapan berupa pelatihan, uji coba alat dan pendampingan yang dilaksanakan melalui ceramah, diskusi dan praktek;  (iii) pelatihan desain kemasan akan dilakukan hingga mendapatkan prototype desain kemasan sabun susu sapi yang baik dan menarik. Pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui ceramah, diskusi dan praktek; (iv) pelatihan manajemen usaha akan dilakukan guna memberikan dasar-dasar manajemen usaha dan strategi pemasaran. Pelatihan dilaksanakan melalui ceramah, diskusi dan praktek; dan (v) pelatihan perijinan  dilakukan melalui ceramah dan diskusi sehingga mitra memahami prosedur permohonan ijin suatu produk. Abstract

Peternakan mempunyai peranan yang penting dalam pembangunan setidak-tidaknya dalam 4 hal strategis yaitu : 1) Peternakan untuk menyediakan pangan terutama untuk memenuhi kebutuhan rakyat akan protein hewani, 2) Peternakan untuk sumber pendapatan dan kesempatan kerja, 3) Peternakan untuk usaha pertanian yang berkelanjutan dan perbaikan lingkungan hidup, dan 4) Peternakan untuk pengentasan masyarakat dari kemiskinan. Namun pada kenyataannya bidang peternakan? sekarang? ini belum mampu secara optimal dalam menjalankan peran strategis seperti yang telah dijelaskan diatas. Hal ini dikarenakan kebanyakan usaha peternakan masih dikelola secara tradisional sehingga belum mampu memberikan kesejahteraan yang memadai dan juga belum mampu mencukupi kebutuhan protein hewani yang terjangkau oleh masyarakat, karena sebagian besar sumber protein hewani terutama daging dan susu masih inpor sehingga harganya relatif tinggi. Untuk itu perlu adanya usaha yang terpadu sehingga bidang peternakan ini benar-benar mampu berperan dalam mensejahterakan rakyat melalui penyediaan lapangan pekerjaan dan penyediaan protein hewani yang mencukupi kebutuhan masyarakat dengan harga terjangkau. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the activities of Clarias gariephinus fish farming, profitability and feasibility of Dumbo catfish aquaculture activities, and opportunities for the development of fish farming in the Wonosari Village Bonang District Demak Regency. The method used is a case study, the sampling method of purposive sampling as many as 20 people. Data analysis using financial analysis includes analysis of BEP and the RC ratio. The results of this study are the activities of Clarias gariephinus fish farming is done individually by technical enlargement Clarias gariephinus per 10,000 individuals per 100 m2 of required capital = Rp. 7,875,000.- harvest per cycle,the rate of profit and feasibility of aquaculture fish Clarias gariephinus per 10,000 individuals per 100 m2, with the total cost (TC) of Rp. 7,875,000.-. total receipts ?(TR) of the amount of the production 750 kg per cycle of harvest by = Rp. 13,000.- per kg. The selling price is Rp. 9,750,000.-, The average income of Rp. 1,875,000.-, RC ratio Value of 1.23, and BEP(Q) of 605.76 kg, BEP (IDR) of Rp. 10,500.- per harvest cycle per 100m2 per10,000 head, the chances of developing Clarias gariephinus fish farming in the Wonosari Village Bonang District Demak Regency, can be done with the intensification and extension and developments nature by cooperating with kooparatif invenstor/banking as well as the development of managerial by establishing cooperative. The conclusion of hypothesis in accepted in view of the value RC ratio of 1.23, and BEP(Q) of 605.76 kg, BEP (IDR) of Rp. 10,500.- per harvest cycle per 100 m2 per 10,000 head, so that the cultivation of Clarias gariephinus fish deserves to be cultivated. ? Abstract

Milkfish (Chanos Chanos Forsskal) is a popular food fish in Southeast Asia, milkfish has a long body, slender, solid, flat, and oval, like a torpedo. Fish, including fish species eurihalin, so the fish can be found in freshwater, brackish water and seawater. During the period of its development, like the fish live in brackish water or river estuaries, as an adult fish return to sea to breed. This study aims to determine the fish farming techniques? in? Demak? Regency, know the techniques of treatment ponds are often exposed to rob or sinking tide, knowing the post-harvest fish handling and marketing. This research was conducted by following the direct method of milkfish aquaculture activities in Demak Regency, also conducted interviews with the farmers to dig deeper. For purposes of comparison and complementary in solving the problem, obtained from literature searches. Fish cultivation in Demak Regency generally still done traditionally by simply relying on the natural course of feeding so that optimal results are not yet able to make ends meet, so that fish farming is just as a sideline only. To cope with the condition of ponds are often exposed to rob the farmers put up during a waring to rob the fish do not escape into the sea. Need for intensive counseling to farmers to enable them to manage better the fish ponds that provide a more optimal for dijadika source of livelihood for them. Abstract

Nuggets is one of the processed meat product in a restructuring. Meatin the manufacture of nuggets can be obtained from various types oflivestock, livestock type and age of cattle, for example from beef, buffalomeat, rabbit meat, mutton and meat of laying hens rejected. Quality ofnuggets as the restructuring of meat products is determined by the ability ofeach binding between the particles of meat and other ingredients are added,so the starch as binder. Gelatinization process that will determine the qualitynuggets related to the concentration of starch is added and the temperaturesteaming. Gelatinization temperature during steaming should be appropriateto improve the quality of chicken nuggets which have a layer rejects toughnature. Therefore it needs to do research about the quality of chickennuggets laying rejected by the addition of starch and different longsteaming. From the results of this research can be concluded that the type ofchicken meat does not give effect to the elasticity, organoleptic test scoretexture, appearance and porosity nuggets of chicken, use chicken nuggetslaying rejects giving a better quality than broiler meat. Nuggets by using themeat of laying hens rejects and tapioca 30% and 50 minutes long steamingbest treatment.Key Words : Quality, Nuggets, Laying chicken rejects

Abstract

The experiment was conducted to determine the effect of vitamine C and vitamine E supplementation in quail diet on production, and egg hatchability. Two hundred and fourty three of female quails of one month old and eighty one of male quails of two month old were devided into nine dietary treatments. Each treatments was replicated three times with nine female quails and three male quails per replication. The nine dietary treatments were there of R0 (diet with CP 21 % and ME 2600 kcal/kg), R1 (R0 +? 150 mg/kg vitamine C ), R2 (R0 + 300 mg/kg vitamine C), R3 ( R0 + 25 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R4 ( R0 + 50 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R5 ( R0 +? 150mg/kg vitamine C + 25 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R6 ( R0 + 150 mg/kg vitamine C + E 50 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R7 ( R0 + 300 mg/kg vitamine C + 25 I.U/kg vitamine E ), R8 ( R0 + 300 mg/kg vitamine C + 50 I.U/kg vitamine E ). All dietary treatments and drinking water were given adlibitum. The measured variables were feed consumption, eggs production,? fertility, and hatchability. The collected data were analysed using analysis of variance following a Completely Randomized Design and continued by Contrast Test if the result indicated significant differences. The result showed that vitamine C supplementation in quail diet was very significantly (P<0.01) increased feed consumption and eggs production. It showed significantly (P<0.05) increase on fertility and hatchability.Vitamine E supplementation in quail diet caused very significant (P<0.01) increase on fertility, hatchability, but it did not significantly increase feed consumption and eggs production. Combination between vitamine C and vitamine E supplementation in quail diet caused very significant (P<0.01) increase on feed? consumption, eggs production,? fertility and hatchability. Diet combination between 300 mg/kg vitamine C and 50 IU/kg vitamine E (R8) resulted the best eggs production and hatchabilityof quail.Key word : Quail, Vitamine? Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat ketahanan pangan tingkat rumah tangga pengolah gula merah aren di beberapa sentra pengolahan gula merah aren di Kabupaten Kendal. Menggunakan Jonsson and Toole Model, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat Pangsa Pengeluaran Pangan (PPP) rumah tangga pengolah gula merah aren yang terendah berada di daerah Kecamatan Sukorejo dan tertinggi di Kecamatan Limbangan. Sementara Angka Kecukupan Energi (PPP) tertinggi juga berada di Kecamatan Sukorejo dan tingkat ketahanan pangan rumah tangga pengolah gula merah aren yang paling tahan pangan berada di Kecamatan Sukorejo. Sementara untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi permintaan beras oleh rumah tangga pengolah gula merah aren di Kabupaten Kendal dengan menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda. Faktor yang  mempengaruhi adalah harga telur dan jumlah anggota keluarga. Kata Kunci : Beras, Harga, Konsumsi, Pangsa Pengeluaran Pangan.
