Abstract

ABSTRACT Basically, agrotourism is to place the primary sector (agricultural sector) in the tertiary sector (tourism sector), in order to increase farmers income. Farmers in agricultural sector have to get some benefits from the agrotourism activities. Beside that, agrotourism may secure the agricultural sustainability, and avoid the agricultural sector from the marginalization process. Aftermoment, there are some opinions that tourist interest tend to see natural activities, and agrotourism activities. In Bali, there are some agrotourism regions with several different management models. That is way, in this article have been explained about the general model of agrotourism development in Bali, and hope there are usefulness to the other regions in Indonesia. Key words : Agriculture, Agrotourism, and Agrotourism model. ABSTRAK Pada dasarnya agrowisata adalah menempatkan sektor primer (sektor pertanian) di sektor tersier (sektor pariwisata) yang bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan pendapatan petani. Petani dan sektor pertanian akan mendapat keuntungan dari aktivitas agrowisata. Agrowisata juga mampu menjaga keberlajutan sektor pertanian dan menghindarkan sektor pertanian dari proses marginalisasi. Ada banyak alasan bagi wisatawan tertarik untuk melihat keindahan alam dan melakukan berbagai aktivitas di alam terbuka termasuk menikmati aktivitas agrowisata. Sejumlah kawasan di Bali kini sedang dikembangkan sebagai kawasan agrowisata, namun model pengelolaan agrowisata yang satu dengan yang lainnya sangat berbeda. Keberagaman model pengelolaan agrowisata itu menjadi bahan kajian untuk menyusun model pengembangan agrowisata yang diberlakukan dalam kondisi yang berbeda di masing-masing obyek agrowisata tersebut. Artikel ini memaparkan secara gamblang bagaimana model pengembangan agrowisata di Bali dan diharapkan dapat digunakan untuk pengelolaan agrowisata di daerah lain seluruh Indonesia. Abstract

The demand for oyster mushroom in Denpasar today is quite high, but it cannot be fulfilled yet. Management of information, products, and financial flow in a supply chain is needed to meet the consumer demand of this product. This study aims to determine the mechanism and performance of oyster mushrooms supply chain in Denpasar. Respondents in this sudy were chosen purposively including baglog suppliers and farmers, mean while of respondents marketing agencies were selected using snowball sampling. Data obtained were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and marketing efficiency. Research results show that the oyster mushroom supply chain involving baglog suppliers, farmers, sub-district traders, retailers, processing traders and end consumers of processed has operated quite well. The flows including in the supply chain are product, financial, and information. Performance measurement results show that the most commonly marketing channel of fresh oyster occurs is involvement of farmers - retailer - consumer. This marketing channel is more efficient compared to other marketing channels. Based on the marketing margin analysis, it shows the  marketing margin of Rp 5,857, farmer' share at 76 percent, and the ratio of profit to the marketing cost is 6.58.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe Influence of Service Quality of Dewi Sri Farmer’s Cooperative and theFarmer’s Work Productivity on the Welfare of Farmer’s at the Subak ofSengempel, Bongkasa Village, Sub-District of Abiansemal, Badung RegencyFarmer’s cooperative as a facilitator in improving welfare, the quality ofservice would be an important part in order to always be the selection of farmers toobtain the required product. The farmer’s cooperative is expected to provide the bestservices in order to achieve the welfare of farmers. An improved labor productivity offarmers as a source of income will have implications for the welfare of farmers. Thestudy objective was to determine the effect of service quality of the farmer’scooperative on the welfare of farmers at Subak of Sengempel.The research method used descriptive qualitative method. Total respondentswas 151 members of farmer’s cooperative taken by proportional random sampling.Data were analyzed using inferential statistics (SEM-PLS).The results showed that the quality of service of the farmer’s cooperative andthe farmer’s work productivity positively and very significantly effect on the welfareof farmers. Quality of services of the farmer’s cooperative positively and verysignificantly effect on the productivity of farmers. Quality of services of the farmer’scooperative has an influence in reaching the welfare of farmers, both directly andthrough the work productivity of farmers. The farmer’s cooperative should furtherimprove its reliability by serving members on time. The farmers of the Subak ofSengempel should increase the labor productivity by increasing the quantity of labor,especially by increasing the number of main harvests. The Local Government throughthe relevant departments should further improve coaching, training and monitoringof the services of the farmer’s cooperative and improving agricultural extensionprograms.Keywords: service, productivity, farmers, welfare.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Basically now, the water available is scarcer. Meanwhile, the population growth that occurs so fast, which is followed by increasing of public prosperity and development of other sectors beyond agricultural sector, causing the increase in water need, both quantitatively and qualitatively. That is why; the water need is very competitive among sectors. Generally, in the field the water need for farmers often to be defeated by the other sectors (especially by the tourism sector).The same situations is feeled by farmers in subaks, who getting water from the Kedewatan Dam, in Sub Regency of Ubud, Regency of Gianyar. Some international hotels in the head of the dam freely take water from the river, and moreover in the tail of the dam, rafting activities and the Drinking Water of The Government of Denpasar Company often borrowing water from the dam. Therefore, the water available for the subaks is disturbed. According to those conditions, is very important to motivate the all head of subaks those getting water from the Kedewatan Dam to organize themselves in the institution of subak coordination body (subak-gde). Anyhow, that organization is important to strengthen the subak position in their negotiation activities with the outsider. In these community service activities, basically the all of subak is very agree to construct the subak coordination body (subak-gde).

Abstract

Until now the company's or cooperative’s performance appraisal much more from the financial side.For a more comprehensive measurement and assessment, carried out a balanced scorecard approach. This study aimed of performance Employees Cooperative Widhya Artha Guna evaluated from four perspectives Balanced Scorecard ie, financial, customer, internal business processes, and learning and growth. The period of 2011-2014 have been chosen according to actuality and completeness of the data.Population and sample that are committee, members and customers of the cooperative.Type of data are quantitative and qualitative data. Primary and secondary data sources.Collecting data using the method of documentation, questionnaire, interview and observation.Data analysis using quantitative and qualitative descriptive method. Results of the study are: (1) Employees Cooperative Performance Widhya Artha Guna Denpasar in terms of the financial perspective by using several criteria: liquidity ratio, profitability, solvency, leverage ratio, and the ratio of activity from 2011-2014 showed an excellent performance from aspects of underwriting and health financial but worth considerably less until enough of the performance aspects of economic activities of businesses in terms of maximizing the utilization of assets to earn extra profit. From the aspect ratio for historical, cooperative performance can be said to be stable. (2) from the customer perspective on aspects of customer satisfaction showed a dominant enough because customers are skeptical of the quality of service cooperatives, but on aspects of customer acquisition, showed a good performance because it is able to grow or acquire customers in over 10% every year. (3) of the internal business process perspective on aspects of transaction processing credit and aspects of transaction processing savings deposits indicates that the business process has been running efficiently (4) of the learning and growth perspective on aspects of employee productivity is good, which is demonstrated by employee productivity during the last four years (2011-2014) continues to increase. While aspects of employee satisfaction is approached from the five dimensions of work mentally, dimensions rewards, the dimensions of working conditions, dimensions coworkers, and dimensional suitability of personality to the job, shows that the overall dimensions of the employees said they were satisfied except in dimensions reward employees feel mediocre. Results can be submitted suggestions (1) a need to improve business activities utilize the excess assets to increase profit. (2) It is necessary to evaluate the services to the customers. (3) It should be evaluated compensation granted to employees (4) It should be further research by other researchers to add a new perspective is the confidence (trust).

Abstract

Regency of Karangasem is one of regencies in Bali Province carried out a program of paddy integrated management, known as GP-PTT. This program is aimed to increase rice production nationally for food security. This research is intended to analyze farm income and to find out farmer’s perception on the paddy integrated management program as well as obstacles in the application of the program. This research was carried out at Bebandem District, Regency of Karangasem, selected  purposively, as this area obtained the highest proportion of the program area to conduct compared to other regions. Primary data collection was carried out through survey and interview, while secondary data were obtained through desk research and publication searching. A t-test with two independent samples was conducted to find out farm income difference between farmers under the GP-PTT program and without the program. Farmer’s perception on the program was analyzed descriptive qualitatively through the use of score. Results of the research shows that the average of farmer’s income under the GP-PTT program was Rp 14,180,962.04 per hectare per planting season with the R/C ratio was 2.8. On the other hand, farmer’s income for non program was Rp 14,095,526.91with the R/C of 3.23. Result of the t-test shows that there is no significant difference between the two incomes. Farmer’s perception on the program was categorized as in doubt with the score of 3.24. Technical impediment faced by farmers was short of planting machine to follow suggested legowo system in place. Economic impediment felt by the farmers is that this program leads to increase the cost of manpower. It is also found in planting system in that farmers are facing difficulties in applying suggested technology of legowo system while farmers are accustomed to tegel system. In order to follow up the GP-PTT program, it is suggested to the government to support farmers continuously until they are willing to and are able to apply the suggested technology.

Abstract

Conversion of agricultural land into one of the many polemics facing agriculture in Bali. The increasing population growth and declining agricultural output has implications for land conversions increasingly unstoppable. Faced with the problem of research about the faktors that affect the conversion of agricultural land and its relation to the welfare of farmers were conducted to obtain a solution to the phenomenon. The series of research methods used in this research is descriptive quantitative method to samples taken by proportional random sampling of 125 respondents. Data analysis using descriptive statistical techniques and statistical analysis was done through the program SemPLS. The findings obtained are: 1) Conversion of land in Saih Subak is positively influenced by: city growth faktors, economic, sosial, technology, accessibility, risks and uncertainties and the land as an asset. 2) conversion of agricultural land and its relation to the welfare of farmers showed a positive and significant relationship through accessibility, economic,  land as an asset, urban growth, agricultural technology, risks and uncertainties, and sosial with the welfare of farmers. On these findings, the government and the Subak Saih must control the rate of land conversion happens. Extension and intensification of agriculture needs to be done to improve agricultural yields, reinforce government regulations, improve farm management and agricultural insurance to provide farmers minimize losses due to natural disasters. To improve the welfare of farmers, technology and the development of agri-business management is needed so that land use can be controlled and well-being can be achieved through the activities of the agricultural sector.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBusiness Development Strategy Certified Rice Seed On Subak Guama,Marga District, Tabanan RegencyThe increasing rate of population growth led to increased demand for food. Inorder to achieve food security, the use of certified seeds is one of the factors thatinfluence the improvement of yield and quality of production. Attempt to capturethese opportunities, Subak Guama need to make strategic business development ofcertified rice seed. The purpose of research is to investigate alternative strategiesand priorities appropriate strategies run by Subak Guama in the development ofcertified rice seed business.The research location was at Subak Guama. Respondents were selectedpurposively regarding their expertise and knowledge of the research. Primarydata were collected focus group discussions, surveys, and in-depth interviews.Secondary data were collected from publications. Formulation of alternativestrategies and priority strategies using SWOT matrix analysis and analysisQSPM.The results show alternative strategies of business development certifiedrice seed include: 1) expand market share in order to meet the potential needs ofseeds, 2) the formation of youth groups farmer, 3) improving the quality of humanresources, 4) empowerment of farmers through the capital strengthening farming5) integrated pest and disease control, and 6) optimization of the certified riceseed business. The result also shows that the priority strategy selected is capitalstrengthening farming.In supporting the development of business certified rice seed, members of SubakGuama is expected to strengthen the capital to apply for credit farming throughfinancial institutions/banks so as to increase production and develop productsseed varieties vary, increase access to a wider market so as to maintain its marketposition has been achieved, as well as more effective cooperation betweenfarmers with KUAT Subak Guama.Keywords: SWOT, QSPM, Rice Seed, Subak
