Abstract

The study aims to produce a textbook Astronomy based self-regulated learning that can motivate students to learn independently. The method used is Research and Development (R & D) by adopting three of the four stages of development models that define 4D (definition), Design (design), and the Development (development). Define phase conducted to determine the characteristics of the products textbook developed through a preliminary study. Selection of the format of the manufacture of textbooks carried out at the stage of design to produce a draft of the Development Phase I. undertaken to produce draft II, III draft, and the final product of the textbook developed. Draft II obtained through the revision of expert validation of three validator recommended. Draft III is the result obtained from a test on a small group of 5 students FKIP Unram as samples taken at random. The end product obtained from the development of field tests on all Unram FKIP students who are taking elective courses astronomical TP 2013/2014 amounted to 12 people. Validation results as well as devices supporting textbook shows the criteria of "very decent" to be used and can motivate students to learn independently.

Abstract

This research conducted to find the physical properties of the absorption of sound from banana stem fiber (Serat Batang Pisang/SBP) with polyesters’ matrix. The sound absorbent material made with a variety of different volume fraction composition. The comparison between the SBP and the volume fraction of the polyester is made of 30%: 70%, 40%: 60% and 50%: 50%. The method of research was done in three stages: making banana stem fiber, manufacturing composite and testing of composite SBP. Composite testing includes physical properties (sound absorption). Preparation of the samples started by taking a banana stem, decomposition banana stem fiber, alkali treatment with NaOH 4%, then mixing the SBP with the matrix  polyester. Manufactured the composites by press the materials on the molding for 12 hours, then tested to find physical properties. Sound absorption test performed using a signal generator and a sound level meter with the principle of the impedance tube method through acoustic box approach as a reference. The results of the study showed that SBP with polyester composite capable to absorb the sound with sound absorption coefficient α = 0.84 at 50% fiber volume fraction. Thus SBP composites can absorb sound for low and medium frequency, based on the standard ISO 11654:1997 (E) where the minimum of sound absorption coefficient of acoustic materials is α = 0.15. Keywords: Composite, banana stem fiber, sound absorber materials, polyester.

Abstract

This study aims to determine 1) Effect of discovery learning model with a scientific approach (PDPS) on learning outcomes physics learners; 2) The effect of process skills to the learning outcomes of physics students and 3) Effect of discovery learning model with a scientific approach interaction and process skills to the learning outcomes of students. This study is a quasi-experimental design using pretest-posttes nonequivalent group design with a 2 x 2 factorial design. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance with SPSS 21. The result showed 1) Model PDPS affect the Physics learning outcomes of learners with sig (0,000 ) <α (0.05), 2) process  skills  affects the outcome of the  learning physics learners with sig (0.001) <α (0.05) and 3) There is a learning model interaction effect (PDPs-Expository) and process skills to physics learning outcomes with sig (0,000) <α (0.05)Keywords: Discovery learning model with a scientific approach,  process skills, learning outcomes

Thus, SBP composites can absorb sound for low (f= 400 Hz) and medium frequency (f = 1000 Hz), based on the standard ISO 11654:1997 (E) where the minimum of sound absorption coefficient of acoustic materials is α = 0.15.

Abstract

Abstrak: Salah satu kesulitan guru dalam mengimplementasikan kurikulum 2013 adalah penilaian. Guru menyatakan mereka belum merancang, melaksanakan, mengelolah, melaporkan, dan memanfaatkan hasil penilaian dengan baik. Kesulitan utama yang dihadapi guru adalah merumuskan indikator, menyusun butir butir instrumen, dan melaksanakan penilaian sikap dengan menggunakan berbagai macam tehnik. Selain itu banyak guru yang kurang percaya diri dalam melaksanakan penilaian pendidikan karakter, karena belum sepenuhnya memahami bagaimana menyusun instrumen dan rubrik penilaian pendidikan karakter, kesulitan yang banyak dikeluhkan guru berkaitan dengan penilaian deskripsi capaian aspek sikap, selain itu guru maupun satuan pendidikan mengalami kesulitan dalam melakukan pengolahan nilai, pemanfaatan dan pelaporannya. Memperhatikan permasalahan ini perlu mengimplementasikan panduan penilaian  pendidikan karakter kurikulum 2013 di SDK ST Antonius Cakranegara agar dapat memudahkan guru dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan, dan melaporkan serta memanfaatkan hasil penilaian aspek sikap. Kata Kunci : Penilaian, Pendidikan Karakter

Abstract

Abstrak: Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan guru pembina olimpiade dalam mempersiapkan siswa dalam menghadapi olimpiade sains  MIPA di tingkat lokal (kabupaten dan provinsi). Untuk mengetahui tingkat kemampuan awal peseta didik yang mengikuti bimbingan olimpiade terlebih dahulu diberikan soal pretest. Berdasarkan skor perolehan pretest, ditemukan bahwa kemampuan peserta didik dalam menyelesaikan soal masih sangat rendah . Hal tersebut disebabkan masih kurangnya bimbingan yang dilakukan oleh guru. Upaya yang dilakukan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut adalah dengan memberikan pelatihan kepada guru pembimbing sebanyak lima kali pertemuan untuk masing-masing guru pembimbing bidang studi olimpiade dan mendampingi guru membimbing peserta didik sebanyak lima kali pertemuan. Bimbingan guru olimpiade dilaksanakan oleh dosen ahli pada masing-masing bidang guna untuk mengembangkan kemampuan guru dalam menganalisis silabus, cakupan materi, tipe-tipe soal, dan strategi dalam penyelesaian soal. Pelatihan selanjutnya yang dilakukan adalah kepada siswa yang dilaksanakan oleh masing-masing guru pembina olimpiade dengan didampingi oleh dosen ahli. Kegiatan pelatihan ini dapat dikatan berhasil sebab tingkat partisipasi peserta mencapai 90% dan peningkatan skor yang diperoleh peserta didik  dari skor Post Tes rata-rata memperoleh nilai 70. Abstract

This study aims to develop a cooperative learning model of KOSAJI type that valid, practical and effective. KOSAJI of cooperative learning model is a collaboration between cooperative learning model type STAD and Jigsaw in physics learning. The method used was the research development model adopted Dick and Carey with ten stages which includes a needs analysis to determine the objectives, formulate indicators, the analysis of the students and the context, the establishment of specific goals of learning, the development of assessment tools of learning, the development of learning strategies, the development and selection of material lesson, formative evaluation, revision of the device, and a summative evaluation of the effectiveness of the device. This research was conducted at SMAN 1 Mataram. KOSAJI cooperative learning model developed together with learning devices such as lesson plans, worksheets, questionnaires students' attitude towards physical and cognitive achievement test. KOSAJI learning model along with the device has been through expert validation, test a small group, limited field testing and large-scale (summative evaluation). Implementation KOSAJI learning model in teaching physics to minimize shortage and optimize the advantages that exist in both the type of cooperative learning model. Based on expert validator test KOSAJI learning model and is well worth learning device used with a percentage value of 94.99% . After going through the stages of the test group was small and limited field KOSAJI learning model can be applied to both in terms of the response of the students (80.52 % on a small test group and 83.41% in the limited field testing ), the response of teachers (76.92 % in the small test group and 82.69 % limited field tests) and enforceability of RPP (86.61 % on a small group of test and 86,62 % in limited field test) with some revisions .Summative test results showed that the learning model KOSAJI effectively improve students' cognitive learning outcomes with increased value in terms of pretest and posttest of 41.93%. Therefore, the development of cooperative learning in teaching physics KOSAJI proved valid, practical and effective.Keyword: KOSAJI Cooperative Learning Model, Physics Learning

Abstract

PISA measurement results from 2000-2015 show the fact that students in Indonesia have a low ability in the science literacy. This study aims to determine the ability of biological literacy based on gender in MIPA Specialization students in SMA Negeri in West Lombok regency. This research used descriptive qualitative method. Samples of research were 360 students from 2357 students of class XI and XII MIPA interest in 6 Senior High Schools of West Lombok regency in learning year 2017/2018. The research instrument uses adaptation of PISA Science Literacy test in 2006 and 2009 which consists of two  aspects, namely: Knowledge and Competency). The result of  this research: Biology literacy ability of MIPA Student by gender in West Lombok regency, male students dominant at level 1, level 2 and level 3 while female student is dominant at level 4, level 5 and level 6.Keywords: Biological literacy, Gender, MIPA Specialization

Abstract

This study aims to determine: 1) the effect of learning model (guided discovery and conventional) against science process skills of students. (2) the effect of scientific attitudes (high and low) on learning science against science process skills of students. (3) the interaction effect between the learning model  and scientific attitude on learning science against science process skills of students. The type of this research is a quasi experiment with a 2x2 factorial design. The population of this research is the students of SMPN 10 Mataram. The sample consisted of two classes defined by cluster random sampling. The instrument used consisted of a scientific attitude test a questionnaires and observation sheets science process skills. The data were analyzed by ANOVA, the analysis were performed using SPSS version 20 for windows with SPSS previously tested homogeneity and normality at significant level of 0.05. Based on the analysis we conclude : (1) there is no effect of using guided discovery model and conventional model against science process skills and critical thinking ability of students. (2)  there is an effect of scientific attitude (high and low) on learning science against science process skills of students. (3) there is no effect of interaction between the learning model  with a scientific attitude on learning science against science process skills of students.Keywords: Model of guided discovery, science process skills, scientific attitude
