Abstract

This research aims to determine a relationship between structure and derivation mastery and reading comprehension ability, either separately or simultaneously. This research was conducted in Surakarta. The population was the students of Elementary School Teacher Education, Teacher Training and Education Faculty (FKIP) UNS, and the samples were 60 students taken by random technique. The instrument for collecting data was achievement tests, whereas the technique analysis for analyzing the data was the statistical technique of regression and correlation. The result of analysis shows that there is positive correlation between structure and derivation mastery and reading comprehensions ability, either separately or simultaneously.

Abstract

Dampak globalisasi antara lain  adalah terbentuknya Masyarakat Ekonomi Asean (MEA). Arus globalisasi ini senantiasa menuntut kesiapan dan  kedinamisan dalam segala aspek kehidupan. BIPA (Bahasa Indonesia bagi Penutur Asing) ikut andil dalam pergulatan MEA tersebut. Dibutuhkan strategi khusus untuk mengajar BIPA agar efektif dan bermakna. Salah satu strategi yang dapat diterapkan adalah strategi ekskursi, yaitu belajar di luar kelas dengan mengunjungi beberapa objek. Jenis ekskursi terdiri dari ekskursi akademika, ekskursi budaya, ekskursi wisata dan  ekskursi sosial. Metode penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka (library research) . Sumber data berupa buku dan jurnal baik nasional maupun internasional. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan cara memperdalam pengetahuan peneliti tentang masalah dan bidang strategi ekskursi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan komparasi. Teknik keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber. Hasil dari kajian pustaka dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan diterapkannya ekskursi sebagai strategi belajar BIPA dapat  memberikan tambahan wawasan bagi pemelajar baik secara kebahasaan, budaya, wisata dan lingkungan sosial, sekaligus melihat langsung bahasa Indonesia di masyarakat Indonesia. Hal ini mendukung  kesiapan bangsa dan bahasa Indonesia dalam berkiprah di MEA.Kata kunci: Ekskursi, Strategi belajar, BIPA, MEA

Abstract

Trilogy novel, Rara Mendut is one of the historical evident in fictional-historical novel which reveals reality in fictional expression. Rara Mendut tells the main character, woman with strong and struggle oriented in gaining her goals. The struggle and principle of life dominated the story through its episodes compiling by the author, Y.B. Mangunwijaya. This research aims to dig up the principle of life, condition, and belief of people in Mataram Islam through the presentation of main character, Rara Mendut, Genduk Duku, and Lusi Lindri. Sociological approach and theory of sociology are used as theoretical framework to result the goal of the research. The result shows that in people of Mataram Islam had belief and perfoemed islam rules as the religion spred by Wali in Java island. The attitude and characters of Rara Mendut shows the values of Islamic teaching in the background of Matara Islam in novel Rara Mendut.

Abstract

PENDEKATAN COGNITIVE MORAL SEBAGAI KERANGKA PENGEMBANGAN BAHAN AJAR PPKN DI SEKOLAH DASARAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi pembelajaran PPKn sebagai wahana pendidikan moral dan relevansi pendekatan cognitive moral sebagai kerangka pengembangan bahan ajar PPKn untuk membelajarkan nilai-nilai moral. Penelitian ini adalah deskriptif analitis dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah 122 siswa kelas V sekolah dasar dan 4 guru pengampu Mata Pelajaran PPKn pada empat kecamatan di Kota Salatiga. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi, angket, wawancara, dan studi dokumen. Temuan hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan analisis interaktif model Miles dan Huberman kemudian disajikan melalui teks narasi deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertama, proses pelaksanaan pembelajaran PPKn belum merepresentasikan pendidikan moral. Kedua, guru tidak melaksanakan pembelajaran moral yang terencana dan sistematis dalam pembelajaran PPKn. Ketiga, pengetahuan siswa tentang moral rendah. Keempat, siswa mengalami miskonsepsi terhadap substansi dan tujuan PPKn. Kelima, muatan PPKn pada buku tematik Kurikulum 2013 tidak menguraikan materi tentang moral. Keenam, pendekatan cognitive moral melalui cerita dilema relevan sebagai solusi pengembangan bahan ajar PPKn untuk membelajarkan moral di sekolah dasar. Kata kunci: cognitive moral, PPKn, sekolah dasarAbstractThe study was aimed at describing the implementation of the civics education subject as a means of moral education and the relevance of cognitive moral approach as a framework for developingcivics education instructional materials. The study was descriptive analytical research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 122 fourth-grade students of elementary school and 4 teachers of civics education in four districts in Salatiga City. The data collection techniques were observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documents. The data were analyzed using interactive analysis of Miles and Huberman model and presented through descriptive narrative texts. The results show that first, civic education learning has not yet represented moral education. Second, teachers do not carry out planned and systematic moral learning in civics education learning. Third, students’ moral comprehension is still low. Fourth, students have misconceptions about the substance and the purpose of civics educationlearning. Fifth, the content of civics education in the thematic book of Curriculum 2013 does not include the material related to moral learning. Sixth, the cognitive moral approach through the dilemma story is relevant as a solution for the development of civics education instructional materials to teach morals in the elementary school.Keywords:cognitive moral, civic education, elementary school education

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam kumpulan cerita rakyat dari Pacitan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data penelitian berupa Buku Cerita Rakyat dari Pacitan terbitan Grasindo 2004 yang memuat 10 judul cerita. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis). Hasil penelitian menunjuk- kan bahwa Cerita Rakyat dari Pacitan sebagai suatu karya sastra mengandung nilai pendidikan karakter yang meliputi: (1) religius; (2) jujur; (3) kerja keras; (4) kreatif; (5) rasa ingin tahu; (6) semangat kebang- saan; (7) menghargai prestasi; (8) cinta damai; (9) peduli lingkungan; (10) peduli sosial; dan (11) tang- gung jawab. Nilai-nilai tersebut menjadi dasar bahwa cerita rakyat selain digunakan sebagai media memperkenalkan kisah-kisah yang diyakini nenek moyang kepada keturunannya, juga bisa sekaligus menjadi sarana mendidik karakter pada diri mereka. Kata Kunci: pendidikan karakter, nilai-nilai karakter, cerita rakyat, Pacitan  CHARACTER EDUCATION CONTENT IN FOLKLORE PACITAN’S Abstract: This study aims to describe the value of character education in the compilation of Pacitan’s folklore. The method used is qualitative descriptive method with data source of research in the form of folklore from Pacitan published by Grasindo 2004 which contains 10 story titles. Data analysis is done by content analysis technique. The results show that Pacitan folklore as a literary work contains the value of character education which includes: (1) religious; (2) honest; (3) hard work; (4) creative; (5) curiosity; (6) Spirit of nationalism; (7) respecting achievement; (8) love of peace; (9) environmental care; (10) social care; and (11) responsibility. These values form the basis that folklore is used as a medium for introducing stories that ancestors believed to their descendants, as well as being a means of educating their character. Keyword: character education, character values, folklore, Pacitan

Abstract

The objectives of this research were: (1) to describe students’ and lecturers’ needs on poetry and drama appreciative textbook, (2) to describe the development of textbook model (3) to find the effectiveness of textbook model 4) to describe textbook dissemination. The type of research used was research and development. Research was done through 4 stages: (1) exploration, (2) model development, (3) model testing, (4) dissemination. Exploration stage used qualitative descriptive approach. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation, documentation, and questionnaires. Data analysis technique was interactive analysis model. Model testing was done through experimental research. The results of this research were: (1) the exploration stage showed that the poetry and drama learning textbook used by Elementary Teacher Education Program (ETEP) studentsin Surakarta did not meet the students’ and lecturers’ need, (2) model development stage producedappreciative poetry and drama textbook through preliminary field testing; (3) model testing phase was to test effectiveness of the textbook used t-test non-independent technique.It was obtained tobtainof 23 and ttable(90; 0.05)of 1.67. Thus, tobtained (23)> ttable (1.67) which meant that the hypothesis was accepted (Ho was rejected). In conclusion, the Appreciative Poetry and Drama textbook model was effectively improve students' poetry and drama appreciation skills. Dissemination was done through national seminars, article writing in international journals, as well as the publishing of an Integrative-thematic Textbook of Poetry and Drama Learning with ISBN.

Abstract

Folklore as one of the cultural output with robust  value of character education from of the community where the story was created and developed. The study aims to describe the value of character education in the compilation of folklore. The method used is qualitative descriptive method with data source of research in the form of folklore from Pacitan published by Grasindo 2004 which contains 10 story titles. The research data is collected by reading the story plot as well as the content of the meaning or message in each story and noting. Data analysis is done by content analysis technique, that is research analysis that want to reveal the idea of writer or creator both manifested and latent. The results show that Pacitan folklore as a literary work contains the value of character education which includes: (1) religious, (2) honest, (3) hard work, (4) creative, (5) curiosity, (6) Spirit of nationalism, (7) respecting achievement, (8) love of peace, (9) environmental care, (10) social care, and (11) responsibility. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan membaca secara cermat terkait alur cerita maupun kandungan makna atau amanat dalam setiap cerita dan melakukan pencatatan. Analisis data dilakukan dengan teknik analisis isi (content analysis), yakni analisis penelitian yang mengungkap gagasan penulis atau pencipta baik yang termanifestasi maupun yang laten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Cerita Rakyat dari Pacitan sebagai suatu karya sastra mengandung nilai pendidikan karakter yang meliputi: (1) religius, (2) jujur, (3) kerja keras, (4) kreatif, (5) rasa ingin tahu, (6) semangat kebangsaan, (7) menghargai prestasi, (8) cinta damai, (9) peduli lingkungan, (10) peduli sosial, dan (11) tanggung jawab. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to know (1) Differences in the ability to write fables between students who subjected to Jigsaw learning model and learning model PBL; (2) Differences in the ability to write fables between students who have high emotional intelligence and low emotional intelligence; (3) Interaction between the learning model and the emotional intelligence of the ability to write fables.This research was conducted in July 2016 - January 2017 at the Junior High School in eight class of 2016/2017 school years. Sampling techniques using Cluster Random Sampling. Research method used is the quasi-experiment. Data collection technique used performance tests and questionnaires closed. The validity test of test performance using the construct validity was reliability using ratings. Validity test of the questionnaire enclosed using the product moment while reliability using Cronbach alpha. Analyzed using ANOVA two lines because the table shows the 2 X 2 factorial.The results of this research after the balance test and test prerequisite is (1) there are differences in the ability to write fables between students who subjected to Jigsaw learning model and PBL learning model; (2) there are differences in the ability to write fables between students who have high emotional intelligence and Low emotional intelligence; (3) there are interaction between the learning model and the emotional intelligence of the ability to write fables.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of cognitive moral based on civics education teaching material in improving the moral judgement competence of the fifth grade elementary school students. This study is a quasi experiment using pretest-postest control group design. The subjects were 59 students of the fifth grade elementary school consisting of 31 students of experimental class and 28 students of control class. The treatment of the experimental class used cognitive moral based on civics education teaching material for about 8 weeks. Learning process in the control class is on the same material and time intensity, but they were not given a treatment. Technique of collecting data used is test. The test instrument consists of 25 multiple choice questions dominated by a moral dilemma. The result of independent sample t test shows that t value is higher than t table (2.161> 1.671). The results show that cognitive based civics education teaching material is effective in improving the moral judgement competence of the fifth grade elementary school students. The increasing moral judgement competence in the experimental class based on the acquisition score N-Gain 0.36 is the medium category.

Abstract

This research is intended to find the different of reading comprehension ability of student that teached by teaching Directed Reading Thinking Activity (DRTA) learning strategy within Know-Want to Know-Learned (KWL) learning strategy, the different of reading comprehension ability of student that have the high reading interest and low reading interest, and the interaction between learning strategy and studied reading interest on the reading comprehension ability. This study was a quasi experimental research methode design by 2×2 factorial design. Population of the research are all student at fifth grade of elementary school in Laweyan district Surakarta in the academic year of 2017/2018. Samples were taken by cluster random sampling technique. The selected sample are Pajang 1 elementary school and Karangasem 1 elementary School. The data collecting uses test and non test technique. This research used two ways anava data analysis technique and used Scheffe method as a further testing after two ways anova with 5% of significance level. The result of research shows that a different of reading comprehension ability of student that teached by Directed Reading Thinking (DRTA) learning strategy within Know-Want to Know-Learned (KWL) learning strategy, there was a different of reading comprehension ability of student that have the high reading interest and low reading interest, and there was an interaction between learning strategy and reading interest on the reading comprehension ability.
