Abstract

Depends on the observation and interview with the students of cookery family welfare department, showed that student creativity with the low achievement. The goal of this research is to reveal students creativity with the achievement for cookery management in cookery study program of family welfare department technic faculty of UNP. This research describe 1) students creativity for cookery management in cookery study program, 2) the student achievement for for cookery management in cookery study program, 3) the correlation between Students Creativity with the study result of Cookery Management in Coockery Study Programme. The kind of this research is descriptive research with correlation approach. The population of this research is the students of cookery management which are 102 people consist of 31 people for restaurant cookery management, 36 people for catering cookery management and 31 people for industrial cookery management. The sampling technic is total sampling. The kind of the instrument is questionare that arranged in Likert scale through validity and realibility test. Data analysis technic is descriptive statistic and correlation with product moment correlation formula then processed by using SPSS 15.0 version. The result shows that 40,2% students creativity is in the middle chategory, 46,1% students didn’t pass the cookery management. There is positive and significan correlation between students creativity (X) with students achievement for cookery management (Y), with the correlation number 0,835 whereas tcounted > ttable (15,168 > 1,658). The student creativity variable (X) give 69,7% contribution for the student achievement in cookery management with 30,3% other variable. These results indicate that there is a relationship with the student learning outcomes creative course MUB The existence of student creativity will provide a positive impact on learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research is grounded on the lack of people’s knowledge about traditional food,food serving equipment and food arrangement technique, and mean of food tradition. Thisresearch is purposed to: (1) describe types of Central Java’s traditional food, (2) describethe meaning of traditional food, (3) describe food’s serving equipment, and (4) describefood arrangement technique in traditional wedding ceremony of Central Java in SungaiJambu village. The type of research is qualitative research, and object of research istraditional food for wedding ceremony of Central Java. Data collected by snow ballsampling technique. Data analyzing include reduction, display, and verification ofconclusion.Results come from this research show that wedding ceremonies in SungaiJambu village had been contaminated by outside culture, such as performance stage, food,equipments, and arrangement technique, so the ceremonies is not as Central Java native’sceremony. Therefore, it is important to get elder and young generation to take a role inmaintaining the culture and preventing from the loss and outside culture’s influence. Abstract

The aim of this research is to describe the attitude of the PKK’s Tata Boga FT UNP students in PLI from the discipline and the careness. This research is the qualitative descriptive research with ex post facto approach. This research is done in some hotels in Padang such as Basko Premier Hotel, Pangeran Beach Hotel, HayamWuruk Hotel and Rocky Plaza Hotel. The data collection through interview with 10 informants who are the kitchen and pastry supervisor. The data validation is done by triangulation method. The result shows that (1) the students of Tata Boga UNP generally have the good attitude during PLI in some hotels in Padang, (2) the students have the good discipline to their jobs and the role of the industry, only some of them who break the rule, such as their absence during PLI, (3) the students have the good careness to their jobs, their environment, and only some of them still don’t aware of the safety.     Keywords :Discipline, Caraness

Abstract

This research start from the fact at school that it has 55 % the result of the study of the students in class x on Jasa Boga Competition in Subject Prosessing Continental Food are down of the KKM (7,5).This process make the hypothesis because of the proseces of the study still focus to the teacher and the studying process in teaching, the teacher also teacher also explain the material with conventional method. The purpose of this research to know the effect using demonstration method of Professsional Competition  students in their subject the proses of continental food in class x Jasa Boga department at SMK N 1 Sintuk Toboh Gadang in academic year 2012 / 2013. The kind of this research is quasi experiment research by using factorial planning one direction with all the population are students in class x Jasa Boga SMK N Sintuk Toboh Gadang. The sample is taken by using Total Sampling technique. The instrument is used test to estimate professional competition students are value form practice of questions test that given in the last research. The data analysis technique get thitung > ttabel =  (4,8 > 1,67) in clusion, using demonstration method give positive effect it’s means that in significant level 0,05 of professional competition students on subject how do the process continental food in class x at SMK N 1 Sintuk Toboh Gadang in academic year 2012 / 2013.   Kata kunci: Metode Demonstrasi, Kompetensi Profesional.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to know the potential of agro-tourism in Lembah Gumanti, Solok rejency. The type of this research is qualitative research in using observation method, interview and dokumnetasi. Determination of informant using Snow-ball Sampling the are: head of tourism pfficial, 2 persons from agriculture official, 5 farmers and local community in Lembah Kecamatan Lembah Gumanti, solok regency. This research concluded: 1) strength is the temperature are clean, the sufficient clean water, fertile soil, State of the State of nature, the area is thick with customs. The process of planting and harvesting vegetables, fruit and flowers still traditional. 2) Beside that, the opportunities is agro tourism at Lembah Gumanti distrisk, the presence of local community organizations to support agro tourism, there are lot of supporting tourist attractions in Lembah Gumantiss district, Solok Regency..Keywords: Potention, attraction and agro tourism1

Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of hygiene in Salero Bundo Rumah Makan Padang Ulak Karang consisting of indicators Hygiene Equipment. This research is a descriptive study with qualitative data. Data was collected using interviews, observation and documentation involving informants, namely: business and employees Salero Bundo Rumah Makan. Data analysis techniques in the study include: data reduction, data presentation and conclusions. The results of this research are: 1) Integrity of equipment, inadequate, defective equipment will be replaced by the damage, broken equipment will be discarded and not used again. 2) Washing equipment, not yet qualified applies, clean up leftover food, wash the equipment and place the equipment on a table to dry. 3) Maintenance of equipment, cleaning equipment, storing equipment in the space provided, and not to stack the equipment with other equipment. 4) Storage equipment, small drawers are made of wood, the absence of adequate storage space.Keyword: Hygiene Equipment, Eating.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to determine the working environment and job satisfaction of employees in the Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi. This research is a type of kausal. This research was measured in with two variables working environment and Employee Job Satisfaction. Population of this research all employees of the Grand Rocky Hotel Bukittinggi totaling 114 people. Technique of sampling is proportional sampling, and sample in this research amount to 54 people. Data was collected using a questionnaire (questionnaire) using a Likert scale consists of 81 items that have been tested the validity and reliabilitasnya. The result of this research is Work environment is in good category (57%), Job Satisfaction employees are in enough category (72%), such as missing more (89,5) job satisfaction influence different factor. Abstract

This research is aims to describe the development strategy of the facilities attraction  at Pasir Jambak Beach Padang using a SWOT analysis in terms of internal factors including: the strength of tourist facilities and the weakness of tourist facilities , while the external factors include : opportunities in developing tourist facilities and the threat in developing tourist facilities. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Techniques of collecting data are using interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this research stated that: 1). The strength of the attraction at Pasir Jambak beach is already available in part of infrastructure and facilities like electricity, water, telecommunication networks (mobile phone signal), stage entertainment, prayer rooms, and toilets, lodging, gazebo, and a parking lot. 2). The weakness is the lack of assistance from the government in developing an attraction, a lack of public awareness in the maintenance of tourist facilities, the condition of the entrance to the tourism site is still broken , there is no health infrastructure, no security posts and public transport to tourism site, and there are no restaurants, no souvenir shops and no game facilities. 3). Opportunity that Pasir Jambak beach had to complete the facilities are  tourist area that is wide enough and there are still many vacant land, sea waves are well suited to water sports, and existing investors. 4). Threats in developing facilities attraction at Pasir Jambak  Beach is there are no support from the surrounding sociality in the existence of tourist facilities, lack of human resources that are competent in managing tourist facilities.  The strategy for the development of facilities Pasir Jambak Beach attraction that can be done are: Expanding the sale network. The government may allocate funds for the procurement and maintenance of tourist facilities. Cooperating with the local music industry to bring entertainment. Repairing the road infrastructure. Abstract

This research aims to determine the relationship between the marketing mix with purchasing decisions in Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang. Type of this research is correlational. The population in this research are all peoples who are and have been and use the facilities at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang, amounting to 6583 people. The sampling technique in this research is incidental sampling by 99 guests. The data collection techniques with indirect communication by distributing a questionnaire using Likert scale and have been tested for validity and reliability. The results of this research showed that there is a positive relationship (strong) and significant correlation between the marketing mix with purchasing decisions which are judged by a guest at Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang with r scale 0.819 are at r table> 0,75- 0,99 and at the level of 0.000 Sig. This means that the better the marketing mix implemented, the better the purchasing decisions in Rocky Plaza Hotel Padang, vice versa.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the influence between the facility on the tourism object towards visitor satisfaction in Air Terjun Bayang Sani, Pesisir Selatan Distric. The type of research is clausal assosiative. Population in this research are amounted to 3.720 people. The sampling technique is non probability sampling, by using insidental sampling. Sample in this research are amounted to 97 people. Data collecting using a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. Based on the result of the research, show that most of all the facility on the tourism in Air Terjun Bayang Sani is good (53,60 %), and also for visitor satisfaction in Air Terjun Bayang Sani exist on enough category (60,82 %). The result also indicate that the are significant influence between facility on the tourism and visitor satisfaction in Air Terjun Bayang sani value is 7,3% while 92,7% are influenced by other factors with the coefficient determinant (R Square) value is 0,270 and the significant value is 0,008.
