Abstract

Sebuah gedung, baik yang digunakan untuk perkantoran, perumahan, maupun pergudangan, pada dasarnya merupakan suatu aset berharga yang perlu dilindungi dari berbagai macam bahaya, salah satunya adalah bahaya kebakaran. Pemahaman tersebut membuat setiap gedung dilengkapi dengan alatalatuntuk mendeteksi dan mengatasi bahaya kebakaran yang dapat terjadi. Pemasangan sensor asap, alarm kebakaran, sampai dengan adanya tabung pemadam kebakaran menjadi bukti akan kepedulian pemilik (pengelola) gedung dalam mendeteksi dan memantau kemungkinan terjadinya bahaya kebakaran. Sebagian besar proses monitoring yang dilakukan saat ini masih dirasa cukup lambat. Beberapa informasi penting sering kali terlambat diterima oleh pengelola gedung. Penambahan jumlah pegawai untuk mengatasi hal ini juga dirasakan masih kurang efisien. Oleh karena itu dirasakan perlu dibuat sebuah sistem otomatis yang bertujuan untuk monitoring kemungkinan terjadinya bahaya kebakaran pada gedung melalui pengiriman SMS (Short Message Service). Dengan menerapkan sistem monitoring menggunakan SMS ini, maka diharapkan proses pelaporan dan pemberian informasi tentang kemungkinan terjadinya bahaya kebakaran kepada pengelola gedung akan dapat dilakukan setiap saat dengan lebih cepat dan akurat, tanpa dibatasi oleh jarak. Implementasi sistem monitoring ini memerlukan aplikasi yang diinstal pada server yang terhubung ke sebuah handphone dan alat deteksi. Setiap kali server menerima tanda bahaya dari alat deteksi, server akan langsung mengirimkan tanda pengiriman SMS ke handphone. Handphone yang menerima tanda dari server akan langsung mengirimkan SMS sesuai dengan jenis bahaya kebakaran yang terdeteksi ke nomor-nomor yang tersimpan dalam handphone. Kesulitan penyampaian informasi hanya terjadi apabila terdapat gangguan pada SMS center atau pada alat yang digunakan (server dan handphone).Kata kunci : Monitoring, Kebakaran, SMS, Server, Sensor

Abstract

Down Syndrome is a condition of physical and mental development's retardation in children that caused by abnormalities in the development of the chromosome. However, behind the special needs held by children with Down syndrome, they have a chance to live like any other normal child.This study aims to create a web-base application that can assist parents to make early detection of the retardation level of Down Syndrome in children, as well as provide information about how to deal with Down Syndrome. One of the benefit of this application is to help parents who have Down syndromes children in order to make early treatment correctly. Other benefit for psychologist is to help them make notes about the progress of the Down syndromes patient. The results of the testing and evaluation declared that this web fit and feasible to detect the level of retardation in children with Down syndrome.Keywords: Down syndrome, detection, level of retardation, web

Abstract

Gas stations are public facilities crucial for motorists. Mobile applications installed in smartphones such as GPS and integrated internet connection can help motorists  find the nearest gas station in a fast and easy way. Mobile application used in this research is based on Android platform considering the android’s popularity. This application can be employed to locate the gas station  around its user’s location and to navigate them to the nearest one. Finding out the nearest location route can minimize the risk of running out of fuel. Users can also maximize the use of smartphone by using this application. A series of steps taken in this research include literature study, observation, flowchart design, Unified Modeling Language (UML), and interface and database design. Abstract

The development of information technology and the telecommunications quite fast. Their implementation has cleared away to many sectors. One of the implementation that very prominent was Short Message Service (SMS). With his superiority, the SMS showed a system that could control and monitor access from an application, including inside the function to shutdown from one or several computers. The computer’s data that used SMS Gateway will send and show in the website, that played a role as server. Abstract

Implementation of routing protocol in a network enable router to dynamically exchange information about network condition. The goal of this research is to analyze and compare performance between RIP (Routing Information Protocol) as a distance vector routing protocol and OSPF (Open Shortest Path First) as a link state routing protocol. This research use topology with six router and four parameter of QoS (Quality of Service), that is delay, jitter, packet loss, and throughput, to performance assessment. Network simulator software and AWK used to get the value of the QoS’s parameter and to verify the result of the implementation. The result of the research show that for overall, OSPF give better performance than RIP although OSPF seem to need longer time and bigger throughput for the initialization process. The kind of fit routing protocol use in a network is depend on number and spesification of the router and topology used. At the end, can be conclude that its better to doing the simulation before the implementation process. From the simulation we can know about the performance of routing protocol used. Keywords: RIP, OSPF, simulator, performance, QoS.

Abstract

Unappropriate in bandwidth scheduling making some effect with internet café’s performance. Lack of bandwidth can slowndown response time for internet. This condition absolutely contradict with user needs. Squid proxy server is one of solutions to keep internet access stability. We can configure proxy server to scheduling bandwidth depend with client’s rush hour, blocking harmful website, and accelerate access from client to frequently visited website. The experiment result show significant difference access time to a website from client that using proxy server and client without using proxy server. The experiment also shows that with scheduling bandwidth, client of intenet café get bandwidth correspond with their needs.  Keywords:  scheduling, bandwidth, squid proxy server, blocking, access time, website.

Abstract

We propose an application that can support traders by providing recommendation about the right stock transaction. The expected impact from this application is to reduce the risk of loss, even achieve the maximum profit for traders who use this application. Recommendation that resulted by application is based on Bayesian methods calculation and four technical analysis indicators that most commonly used by stock experts, i.e. Bollinger Bands, Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD), Relative Strength Index (RSI), and Stochastic Oscillator. Methodology used in this paper consists of data collection, data analysisa, application design, implementation, and testing. From the results of application testing, the accuracy of the application is 87,37%.

Abstract

AbstrakKekurangan gizi menjadi salah satu masalah yang dialami oleh masyarakat Indonesia, khususnya defisiensi mineral mikro. Pada dasarnya hal ini dikarenakan kurangnya pemahaman masyarakat akan pentingnya pola konsumsi makanan seimbang serta kemiskinan yang dialami oleh sebagian masyarakat sehingga mereka sulit memenuhi asupan gizi setiap hari dan sulit menemui seorang ahli atau dokter gizi. Hal ini dapat diatasi melalui pembuatan sebuah aplikasi berbasis web yang mampu mendeteksi defisiensi mineral mikro pada manusia secara dini, serta memberikan saran untuk mengatasi defisiensi tersebut. Aplikasi ini menggunakan sekumpulan data sebagai basis pengetahuan yang diperoleh dari studi pustaka dan diskusi dengan pakar gizi. Pengetahuan direpresentasikan dalam bentuk rule-based system dan diolah dengan metode forward chaining.Aplikasi ini dapat diakses dan digunakan oleh pengguna melalui internet. Pembuatan aplikasi ini dapat membantu masyarakat dalam menyadari pentingnya asupan mineral mikro dalam tubuh dan juga mendorong mereka untuk memiliki kebiasaan hidup yang sehat.  Kata kunci— gizi, mineral, aplikasi web, rule-based, forward chaining.  Abstract Malnutrition is the one of the Indonesian society issues, especially micro mineral deficiency. Basically, this is due to a lack of society understanding of the importance of balanced food consumtion patterns and poverty factor in Indonesia so that they are difficult to fulfill the daily nutritional intake and also difficult to meet a doctor or nutrition expert. This can be overcome through the creating of a web-based application which can detecting micro mineral deficiency in the human body at the early stage, as well as providing suggestions to overcome those deficiency. This application uses a set of data as a knowledge base which obtained from the literature and discussions with nutritional experts. The knowledge is represented with a rule-based system and processed with forward chaining method.This application can be accessed and used by users via internet. This application can helps the society to realize the importance of micro mineral intake and also encourage them to have healthy life habits. Keywords— nutrient, mineral, web application, rule-based, forward chaining.
