Abstract

The Bible is a guidebook for the Christian life, the development of mobile technology allows to create applications Bible on mobile phones. This research aims to develop applications of existing Bible by providing new features. These features include, that can display two types of the same Bible (New International Version and the King James Version), features of note to the bookmark application, clear visibility on the in-verse bookmarks, display, grouping the bookmarks and search results clustering words, the application daily devotional, and maps. Database Bible is a database used Go Bible, and the search string using the Turbo Boyer Moore. Tests on the application made on the Nokia N78, Sony Ericsson W910i, K800 as a sample. From the results of testing, applications have been made to run well on all three mobile phone.

Abstract

Web and SMS is a new development that is useful for many people as a data exchange media. In the business world, especially for marketing use, by using those two media business can be performed globally so that informations are fast and easily spread all over the world. From this problem born an idea to promote Diamond Hotel by using web and a facility to reserve room using SMS. This Application was created by using VB 6 language and using AT command to communicate with cellphone. Meanwhile, data that flow between system and cellphone are in the form of Protocol Data Unit. System had been tested by sending SMS request from a cellphone and system sent back SMS response as requested by user.

Abstract

This research, compiled an alternative of trouble-shooting in the form of archiving management implementation by using technology Lotus Domino Server version of 8.0.5 and Lotus Notes version of 8.0.5. This archiving management information system is very wide and complex on that account in this research to study problem of observation (auditing) done by Internal Control Identity. This study concerning Information systems to based on the literature. Data collecting based on data any kind of which required to design this information systems. After gathering data, the design an information system and to testing the design. Key Words: management, file system, lotus notes.

Abstract

Currently, there are three methods for a student to obtain student academic data in Petra Christian University, that is via the ASIT terminal, PRS-ASIT website and telephone. Technological advancements today have made using the SMS feature in cell phones easier. And, with the use of SMS to serve academic data, those data can quickly be provided for students wherever and whenever they need them. To fully utilize this opportunity, an SMS service system will be designed to provide students with academic data is developed together with Petra Christian Universitys Academic Administration Firm. The system is developed using PHP 4.3.8 with MySQL 3.23.49 as the database server, and Apache2 as the web server. For the SMS hardware, an Itegno 3000 GSM Modem is used. And for the SMS gateway, Now SMS is used. From implementation and test results, it can be concluded that the SMS service system using an Itegno 3000 GSM Modem is capable of providing academic data in a clear and easily understandable format. The administrator website also functions well, providing administrators with an easy way to do maintenance tasks to the system. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Pada saat ini di Universitas Kristen Petra telah tersedia tiga metode untuk mengakses data akademik mahasiswa, yaitu terminal ASIT, web PRS-ASIT serta telepon. Kemajuan teknologi yang ada sekarang telah memungkinkan penggunaan fasilitas SMS pada handphone semakin mudah, dan penggunaan SMS untuk layanan data akademik mahasiswa akan memungkinkan penyediaan data akademik kepada mahasiswa secara cepat, kapanpun dan dimanapun mereka membutuhkannya. Oleh karena itu, akan dirancang sebuah sistem layanan data akademik mahasiswa melalui SMS yang dikembangkan dengan bekerja sama dengan Biro Administrasi Akademik Universitas Kristen Petra. Pemrograman dilakukan dengan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP 4.3.8, database server MySQL 3.23.49, serta web server Apache2. Untuk SMS hardware digunakan modem GSM Itegno 3000 dan untuk SMS gateway digunakan Now SMS. Dari hasil implementasi sistem dan uji coba, disimpulkan bahwa sistem layanan data akademik melalui SMS dengan menggunakan modem GSM Itegno 3000 ini telah berhasil memberikan layanan data akademik dengan format yang jelas dan mudah dimengerti. Administrator website juga berfungsi dengan baik sehingga memudahkan administrator untuk melakukan maintenance pada sistem. Kata kunci: layanan data akademik, modem GSM, SMS.

Abstract

Todays highly developed communications, as well as communication applications such as Social Networking is growing rapidly. Petra Christian University had Student E-Portfolio applications as a communication medium for students, but there are features in theapplication of Student E-Portfolios are less supportive. Therefore, the required application that helps communications students at Petra Christian University. Application are made is the development of existing Student E-Portfolio. Student E-Portfolio application is developed using PHP and MySQL. Development is done by adding the feature wall, discussion forums, friend requests, comment, birthday alerts, and polling. Abstract

Abstact. With the rapid development of wireless technology, mobile devices applications and services have become more convenient. One area that can be supported by this technology is the field of health, particularly in the dental information system. Processing the patient data is one of the many factors that have an important role in hospital industry. The manual processing of patient data in dental clinic X Yogyakarta, Indonesia is inefficient and ineffective. It cant guarantee the accuracy of the calculation, recapitulations, and reporting system. The rapid development of information technology makes it possible to develop a dental information system, which gives accurate reports on the status of the patients in real time for the purpose of improving patient’s safety and quality of services. In this research, the application is developed with Java programming language and mySQL database. The testing results of the application have shown that the program can be operated easily, has a clear work flow, supports various facilities that help users, and is able to become valuable inputs for dental clinic management in the decision making process. Based on the questionnaire results, 80% respondents reported that the program met the requirements and was easy to use.Keywords: mobile technology, dental information system, registration, report Abstrak.Perkembangan teknologi nirkabel yang sangat pesat telah memicu aplikasi dan layanan seluler menjadi lebih nyaman. Salah satu bidang yang dapat didukung oleh teknologi ini adalah bidang kesehatan, terutama dalam sistem informasi klinik gigi. Pengolahan data pasien merupakan salah satu faktor yang memiliki peran penting dalam pengelolaan industri kesehatan. Saat ini, proses manual pengolahan data pasien di klinik gigi x Yogyakarta tidak efisien dan tidak efektif. Hal ini tidak dapat menjamin keakuratan perhitungan, rekapitulasi, dan sistem pelaporan. Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi memungkinkan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi gigi, yang memberikan laporan yang akurat tentang status pasien secara real time untuk tujuan meningkatkan keselamatan pasien dan mutu layanan. Dalam penelitian ini, aplikasi dikembangkan dengan bahasa pemrograman Java dan database mySQL. Hasil pengujian aplikasi telah menunjukkan bahwa program ini dapat dioperasikan dengan mudah, memiliki alur kerja yang jelas, mendukung berbagai fasilitas yang membantu pengguna, dan mampu menjadi masukan yang berharga untuk manajemen klinik gigi untuk membuat keputusan. Berdasarkan hasil survey, 80% responden berkata bahwa program sudah memenuhi kebutuhan dan mudah untuk digunakan.Kata kunci: teknologi bergerak, sistem informasi dokter gigi, registrasi, laporan

Abstract

Japanese language uses thousands of characters for its writing system. A system called Input Method is used to enable the inputs of those characters using a standard keyboard. Some Input Method applications were already developed, from the desktop application to the web-based application. Unfortunately, those applications are not flawless. In this research, an application using the Input Method system has been developed to cover the weaknesses of those applications that already developed before. This Input Method application system uses standard web technology. Such as JavaScript on the client side. PHP on the server side. MeCab: Yet Another Part-of-Speech and Morphological Analyze dictionary is used for its dictionary. The core algorithm uses Longest Match Method for word searching.

Abstract

The developing of internet technology has been giving ideas to develop an online examination of subject offered by higher education or university. This system could be used by anyone to held online examination without having web programming skills. The requirements of this system are able to handling data security, hardware performance, and transfer speed. By combining component technology approaches and active server pages methods, this research could be performed to develop software which handle online examination that requires high security aspect, user friendly, and complecity of generated questions. Abstract

Visit Indonesia Year 2008 is a government program to promote tourism in Indonesia. Promotions in every region is needed to achieve the succession of the program, included Surabaya as the East Java Main City that will act as the promotion model of many cities around Surabaya.In this research, application of Surabaya tourism promotion has been developed which can facilitate tourists to know further about Surabaya tourism by using handphone and connected via GPRS. Application of Surabaya tourism promotion was developed by using Java language. The java platform being used is Java Micro Edition (Java ME) on the cellular phone application and PHP Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) for the server application.    This application has been tested on Nokia N70, Nokia N73, Nokia 6600, and Sony Ericsson K800i using ProXL, Simpati, and Mentari communcation provider. Although the communication speed are varied among providers, the application is running as intended.Keywords: Java ME, PHP, Surabaya Tourism Promotion

Abstract

PT.X adalah unit usaha yang bergerak di bidang perdagangan ban dan velg yang berlokasi di Surabaya Provinsi Jawa Timur. Dalam kegiatannya sehari-hari PT. X masih menerapkan sistem manual dalam proses pencatatan transaksi dan menentukan laba rugi. Hal ini menyebabkan proses penghitungan berjalan lambat dan kurang akurat jika dibandingkan dengan menggunakan sistem yang terkomputerisasi. Oleh karena itu PT. X membutuhkan sistem informasi akuntansi yang terkomputerisasi, dengan harapan dapat mengatasi masalah yang dihadapi. Perancangan desain sistem menggunakan Data Flow Diagram dan Entity Relationship Diagram. Program menggunakan MySQL Server sebagai database, dan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP. Transaksi meliputi transaksi pemesanan pembelian, penerimaan pembelian, pemesanan penjualan, penjualan, penyesuaian stok, penjualan barang bekas, retur penjualan, pengganti retur penjualan, serta pembuatan jurnal secara otomatis.
