Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memberikan informasi terkini mengenai pengaruh periode curing (waktu jeda antara saat sampel selesai dibuat dengan waktu pengujian) dan faktor lingkungan (suhu dan kelembaban) terhadap kinerja dan durabilitas dari campuran beraspal. Dalam studi ini, untuk mengukur kinerja dari campuran beraspal digunakan beberapa parameter Marshall, seperti Marshall stability, flow, Marshall Quotient (MQ), Void Filled with Asphalt (VFA), Void in the Mix (VIM) dan Void in Mineral Aggregate (VMA). Sedangkan untuk mengukur durabilitas campuran beraspal digunakan parameter Marshall Retained Stability. Campuran beraspal dibuat dengan mengacu pada 2 (dua) standard, yaitu yang pertama, SKBI – 2.4.26.1987 UDC : 625.75 (02), dimana campuran beraspal dipadatkan sebanyak 150 kali (75 kali per muka), untuk mendapatkan apa yang dinamakan campuran beton aspal (asphalt concrete/AC). Standard kedua yaitu standard baru Bina Marga (2001), dimana campuran beraspal dipadatkan sebanyak 2 (dua) fase, yaitu fase 1 dengan jumlah pemadatan sebanyak 150 kali dan fase 2 dengan jumlah pemadatan 400 kali. Hasil dari proses pemadatan dua fase ini adalah campuran beraspal hot mixture asphalt – percentage refusal density (HMA – PRD). Sesudah proses pemadatan, campuran beraspal kemudian disimulasikan dengan beberapa periode curing dan dua kondisi curing yang berbeda, yaitu curing di dalam dan di luar ruangan, dengan beberapa tingkatan suhu dan kelembaban. Hasil yang diperoleh dari studi ini mengindikasikan bahwa periode curing mempunyai pengaruh yang dominan terhadap kekuatan campuran. Sebenarnya faktor suhu dan kelembaban juga mempunyai kontribusi terhadap bertambah atau berkurangnya kekuatan campuran, namun hal ini tergantung dari lokasi dimana proses curing dilakukan dan tergantung juga pada pengaruh cuaca, terutama pada saat proses curing dilakukan di luar ruangan. Pengujian durabilitas campuran beraspal memberikan hasil bahwa semakin panjang periode curing dan semakin tinggi suhu di lokasi curing, maka campuran beraspal akan semakin awet (durable). Hasil lain yang diperoleh dari studi ini adalah campuran beraspal HMA-PRD menunjukan kinerja dan durabilitas yang lebih superior dibandingkan dengan kinerja dan durabilitas campuran beton aspal (AC).   ABSTRACT  The aim of this study was to provide up-to-date information about the influence of curing period and environmental factors, that are temperature and humidity, towards the performance and durability of asphalt mixtures. To measure the performance of the  mixture, several Marshall characteristics, such as Marshall stability, flow, Marshall Quotient (MQ), Void Filled with Asphalt (VFA), Void in the Mix (VIM) and Void in Mineral Aggregate (VMA) are used in this study, whereas Marshall Retained Stability is used to measure the durability characteristic of the mixtures. The mixtures are developed according to two standard specifications, that is, SKBI – 2.4.26.1987 UDC : 625.75 (02), the old specification, on which the mixtures, AC mixture, is compacted as many as 150 blows (75 times per face). Another specification used in this study is the new specification for hot mixture proposed by Department of Public Work (2001), on which asphalt mixture, named HMA-PRD, is compacted in two phases, that is, phase 1 and 2 with total 150 blows and 400 blows, respectively. After the compaction, the mixture then is cured in different curing period and in several conditions, that is, indoor and outdoor conditions with different levels of temperature and humidity.  The result indicates that curing period has dominant effect on the mixtures stiffness. Actually, temperature and humidity factors also contribute to the results; however, it depends on the location of the mixtures cured and also the climates. The durability test results that the longer the curing period and the higher the temperature are, the more durable the mixtures will be. Another result of this study is the new-specification mixture, HMA-PRD, is more superior than the old-specification mixture in stiffness and durability parameters. Abstract

Bridge is a part of road infrastructure system which must be well managed. One of the maintenance strategy is a whole year maintenance to keep the bridge in good condition during its design life. With tight budget, a comprehensive decision is needed to prioritize which bridge needed the most. The purpose of this research is to identify and determining the criteria and sub criteria, the scale of priority handling, and value sensitivity in maintenance activities bridge in of national roads island bangka. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) was used to provide qualitative space for experts to share opinions and complemented with quantitative analysis. This method was also as an applicative tool to support BMS (Bridge Management System) program by using more measurable approach. This research used six criteria and 18 sub-criteria. The criteria with the highest and lowest weight were general condition of the bridge and social and regional development aspect, respectively, while the sub-criteria with the highest and lowest weight were watershed condition and the number of public facilities served, respectively. The resulst on 74 researched bridges showed that Segambir bridge became the bridge with the most priority to be maintained, followed by Birah and Nangka bridges.

Abstract

Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang is one of the international airport in the Province of Central Java . International airport status is used because there is a flight plan to foreign country and Ahmad Yani Airport worthy to serve the airlines. However, the facilities and services that exist not suitable for international-class airport. Therefore, these airports continue to be developed in order to serve the demand for overseas flight, both domestic and international flights increased from year to year. It can be from Semarang and head to Semarang. The development includes the development of the infrastructure of the airport land and air sides which are divided into two phases. With the completion of the first phase of development, Ahmad Yani Airport will have a wider terminal in the North of  runway, ample parking space, covering an area of 61.344 m2 apron and two taxiways. Development of second phase will make Ahmad Yani Airport has an area of 78.313 m2 apron that can accommodate 12 Boeing 737-900 aircraft class and 8 pieces taxiways, 2 pieces exit taxiways and 1 piece parallel taxiway. This Final Thesis will analyze the air side of the Ahmad Yani airport that has runway formed, taxiway and apron at the existing condition, the development of the first phase and the second phase of development. This analysis will have predicted number of passengers in the plan of year which will then be converted into the number of aircraft at busy times. Results of the predicted number of aircraft will be on an analysis for the air side capacity of the Ahmad Yani Airport in the development plan that has been done by Ahmad Yani airport, so that it will be known the air side ability of the Ahmad Yani Airport to the demand in the plan year. This analysis refers to the rules that set up by FAA. Results of the analysis showed that when the condition of existing air side in the form of runway, taxiways are still able to serve the demand of flight but the capacity of the apron are not able to serve so for prediction of the next 5 years in the first phase of development there will be over capacity. However, with the development at the Ahmad Yani Airport, aircraft servicing predictions for the next 5 to 10 years can already be served by a taxiway and apron but rapid exit taxiway should be built for runway’s component, so that it can increase runway capacity at peak hours.

Abstract

Pertumbuhan penduduk Indonesia yang semakin tinggi menyebabkan meningkatnya kebutuhan masyarakat di segala aspek kehidupan, termasuk kebutuhan akan sarana transportasi. Jalan Semarang-Solo sebagai salah satu jalur padat di Jawa Tengah, volume lalu lintasnya semakin hari semakin padat melebihi kapasitas jalan, hal ini menyebabkan tidak seluruh volume lalu lintas mampu dilayani oleh jalan tersebut. Pemerintah melalui PT. Trans Marga Jawa Tengah  membangun jalan tol yang menghubungkan Kota Semarang dan Solo sepanjang 75,67 km sebagai solusi dari permasalahan tersebut. Pembangunan Jalan Tol Semarang-Solo Tahap I ruas Semarang Bawen sesi Penggaron-Beji menggunakan sistem perkerasan kaku cor (Rigid pavement) sebagai desain awal perkerasannya. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa desain perkerasan dengan sistem rigid pavement memiliki beberapa kelemahan, sehingga perlu ada desain inovasi untuk meminimalisir kelemahan tersebut. Melalui tahapan rekayasa nilai yaitu tahap informasi, spekulasi, analisis, pengembangan, presentasi dan implementasi diperoleh desain inovasi terpilih yaitu desain perkerasan dengan sistem beton prategang pracetak (PPCP). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penerapan sistem PPCP di proyek dapat mempersingkat waktu pelaksanaan selama 84 hari atau 21% dari desain awal.

Abstract

Asphalt mixture performance needs to be improved by modifying the asphalt mixture  to produce a strong, durable and high plastic-deformation resistance. While the presence of abundance of plastic waste takes 1000 years to be decomposed perfectly by land. According to the facts,this research  was proposed to improve performance of asphalt mixture by utilizing plastic waste. This is because plastic has high softening point so that it is expected to be able to increase asphalt mixture resistance against the effects of temperature and elasticity. The research was done by substituting a part of filler with LDPE plastic waste in asphalt mixture. Different contents of LDPE, i.e. 0%, 2%, 4% and 6% of the weight of asphalt, were used in this study to simulate the effect of plastic content on mixture performance.  Fifteen samples of AC-WC mixture were made for each variation of LDPE content and all were compacted by 2x75 blows. Then, the mixtures were evaluated by terms of 6 Marshall properties, that is, stability, flow, MQ, VIM, VMA and VFA, one additional parameter, namely Index residual strength (IRS). It resulted  that mixtures with plastic tend to less dense (as showed by higher air voids) and become more rigid (as showed by high stability but low flow). This indicates that the addition of LDPE could make the mixture becoming more rigid but porous causing it has good resistance to plastic deformation but it is more susceptible to cracking and less durable. Although the results showed that mixture with LDPE was not better than conventional mixture, the use of this mixture for underlying layer like AC-BC is still possible. And this is supported by all Marshall properties on selected types (2% and 4%) could fulfil the specification issued by Directorate General of Highway (Bina Marga).

Abstract

Semarang roads - Kendal, which is part of the North Coast, an arterial road linking central basis of national economic activity. With the increased traffic on North Coast Road, and included on this road, especially with the presence of a growing number of trucks that are overweight  overloaded on this road, so for the next few years is expected to be down this path of service, either in terms of traffic performance and the performance of the pavement. Given these problems, this study is conducted to evaluate the performance of road traffic Semarang - Kendal and estimate the need for the added layer of the existing pavement as a result of overloading (overloading) is. For purposes of analysis, the method used in this research capacity (MKJI) to analyze traffic performance, and methods of Highways 2002 to analyze the needs of additional layers as a result of overloading. From the results of the analysis, found that the value of the performance of the traffic for the roads to be reviewed on line Semarang - Kendal, the value of DS = 0.74 in 2019, while in the opposite lane (Kendal - Semarang) DS values obtained larger is equal to 0.79; thus advisable to increase the geometric path (such as road widening) or by shifting part of the burden to the rail mode as a solution to improve traffic performance in the coming years. As for the analysis of the existing pavement, this study used two types of load, which is ideal load (with reference to the amount of the allowable load or JBI) and actual load (of the survey). The analysis showed that in the year 2019 plan, the road Semarang - Kendal takes a thick layer added by 6 cm (for ideal weight) and 10 cm (for actual expenses). If the residual life analysis, then by applying the actual load on the existing pavement was found that the existing pavement structure can only support the weight overload for 4 years and 2 months of age 10-year plan.

Abstract

Best Western Star Hotel and Star apartments located in the MT. Haryono are currently being built into the new residential alternative in Semarang. This triggers resurgence, resulting jam in the area will increasing. The situation of the MT. Haryono street before Best Western Star Hotel and Star Apartments are built was very crowded in the morning, afternoon and evening due to the shopping and offices centers. Because of these problems, it will be planned traffic management, road widening, and green design time. In this study will be discuss about traffic performance’s existing, traffic performance after the construction of the building, traffic performance in 2018, and traffic performance after the application of some solutions. The analysis method that will be used is the analysis method of MKJI 1997. The method is used to analyze the condition of roads and hotspot intersections. Vast amount of hotel rooms and apartment per unit is calculated to obtain the resurgence happened. The amount of Best Western Star Hotel and Star Apartment’s resurgence then charged on each road, after getting overburdened volume of traffic resurgence, do the analysis of road and hotspot intersections performances. From the amount list of vehicles in each years from 2007 through 2011 was found the growth rate. The growth rate is used to predict the traffic conditions for the coming 5 years, so it can be selected the solution that can solve the problems for the coming 5 years. Test result are as follows : 1). The Best Western Star Hotel and Star Apartment’s resurgence caused 844 pcu/hour. 2). The growth rate of the vehicle is 3,94% per year. 3). The traffic management deemed not able to overcome the jam’s problems that occured. 4). Need to do road widening at Sriwijaya street and transforming the Lampersari street to become 1-way street. 5). Need to do redesign the green time.

Abstract

Road maintenance and rehabilitation program is a program to improve functional condition of a road pavement. EVERSERIES 5.0 is a group of programs having an ability to do a complex analysis especially in determining pavement respond and modulus, and also designing pavement overlay, i.e. EVERSTRESS, EVERCALC and EVERPAVE, respectively.The objective of this research was to evaluate Bina Marga Pd T-05-2005-B Guideline in designing overlay thickness by comparing the guideline with EVERSERIES program. The location of the study was TMII – Cibubur segment of Jagorawi toll road. For the purpose of the research, two-way (direction A and B) deflection data along the segment together with 5-year traffic volume data were collected. In determining overlay thickness, EVERSERIES program firstly evaluated the existing deflection and pavement temperature data and used them in backcalculation process to produce elastic moduli. The moduli, together with traffic volume data, then were used to calculate the overlay thickness.On the other hand, Bina Marga Guideline calculated manually the overlay thickness based on the category of deflections. The results showed that Bina Marga Guidelines always produced less thickness than EVERSERIES program, i.e. 7.2 and 7.12 cm for direction A and B, respectively, compared with thicknesses produced by EVERSERIES, that is, 11.9 and 10.29 cm for direction A and B, respectively. This is because there is a difference in overview of pavement-layer distress between the two methods.

Abstract

Market as an activity zone trips towing zones. Babadan Market located at Jalan Sudirman, where the market activity zone Babadan Ungaran generate visitor attraction and trip generation in the form of a private car and public transport resulting in congestion. This condition should be corrected in order to get the convenience of shopping at Babadan traditional market and smooth flow of traffic on Soedirman street. For that to know the amount of travel due to the existence of  Babadan traditional market. Therefore, we evaluated to determine the performance of Jend. Soedirman street and Raya Baya street with calculations based on the degree of saturation on traffic survey and evaluation of the resistance that occur on the road. Evaluation results show the degree of saturation at Jend. Soedirman street  ≥ 0.75 so that its necessary treatment. Whereas at Raya Baya street ≤ 0.75 it is still in a safe condition. Planning by reducing the resistance, optimizing pedestrian bridge, reviewing u - turn, and the control of bus bay.
