Abstract

Ulat grayak (Spodoptera litura F) merupakan salah satu hama utama tanaman kedelaiyang perlu penanganan secara cepat dan tepat, dengan memanfaatkan ekstrak biji nimba(Azadirachta indica A Juss) sebagai pestisida non sintetik yang ramah lingkungan. Penelitian inibertujuan untuk mempelajari keefektifan ekstrak biji nimba (A. indica) terhadap hama Ulat Grayak (S.litura), dan pengaruhnya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kedelai. Kegiatan penelitian inidilaksanakan di Balai Pengkajian Teknologi Pertanian Nangroe Aceh Darussalam (BPTP) Bandaaceh. Menggunakan Rancangan acak Kelompok (RAK) dengan lima perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Hasilpenelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak biji nimba efektif untuk mengendalikan hama S. litura denganhasil tertinggi dijumpai pada perlakuan D (ekstrak biji nimba 20cc/l) dibandingkan perlakuan E(Decis). Insektisida sintetik (Decis) dengan konsentrasi anjuran efektif digunakan pada saat larva S.litura masih isntar I dan II. Apabila telah melewati instar tersebut lebih efektif digunakan dosis yanglebih tinggi.

Abstract

Castor bean (J. Curcas L.)can be used for biodiesel material as an alternative to fossil fuels. One of the problems in the cultivation oft his plant is the existence of termite pest. The purpose of this research is to identify termites species that have destructive potencial  to castor plants in KIJP Pakuwon. The research was conducted from January to December 2009. As amount of 90 observed stations  installed in this area, then divided into three blocks with of each block contained 30 observed station.The distance between each observed station was 20 meters. The termites species that had been collected in every observed station then put in  bottles containing 70 percent ethanol and identified its characteristic at Insect Taxonomy Laboratory, Department of Plant Protection, Bogor Agricultural University. Research results showed a numbers of termites species that have potencial destruction to castor plants were Macrotermes sp., Schedorinotermes sp., Microtermes spand Odntotermes sp. Macrotermes sp. was the most dominant species in KIJP Pakuwon.

Abstract

The main problem castor plantation (Jatropha curcas L.) is a pest Macrotermes gilvus result in lower production in terms of both quality and quantity. The research was conducted in August 2010. This research aims to study the pest M. gilvus to castor plantation in KIJP Pakuwon. The intensity of the attack M. gilvus in castor plantation  in Block I (33%), Block II (27%) and Block III (15%), and if not immediately controlled can cause economic losses.

Abstract

Abstrak. Crocidolomia pavonana (F.) (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) adalah hama penting pada tanaman famili Brassicaceae. Hama ini menyerang daun bagian dalam yang terlindung hingga mencapai titik tumbuh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menetukan konsentrasi yang efektif dari campuran ekstrak buah mahkota dewa dan kulit buah jeruk purut terhadap mortalitas dan perkembangan C. pavonana. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Hama Tumbuhan Program Studi Proteksi Tanaman dan Laboratorium Analisis Pangan Program Studi Teknologi Hasil Pertanian Fakultas Pertanian Unsyiah. Penelitian dimulai sejak bulan April 2017 sampai dengan Mei 2017. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) pola tunggal yang terdiri dari 6 perlakuan dan diulang sebanyak 4 kali sehingga diperoleh 24 unit percobaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi campuran ekstrak buah mahkota dewa dan kulit buah jeruk purut berpengaruh terhadap mortalitas larva C. pavonana yaitu pada perlakuan aplikasi campuran ekstrak 1 g buah mahkota dewa + 1 g kulit buah jeruk purut sebesar 50%. Persentase penghambatan makan tertinggi terjadi pada aplikasi campuran ekstrak 0,5 g buah  mahkota dewa + 1,5 g kulit buah jeruk purut yaitu 74%, sedangkan persentase tertinggi pupa dan imago C. pavonana yang muncul terjadi pada masing-masing perlakuan aplikasi 2 g ekstrak buah mahkota dewa, yaitu 70%. Dengan demikian, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi campuran ekstrak buah mahkota dewa dan kulit buah jeruk purut lebih efektif dibandingkan aplikasi secara tunggal.The Effect of Mixed Fruit Phaleria ((Phaleria macrocarpa) and Kaffir Lime Pell (Citrus hystrix) Extracts to The Mortality and Growth of Crocidolomia pavonana (F.)Abstract. Crocidolomia pavonana (F.) (Lepidoptera: Crambidae) is an important pest in the family plant Brassicaceae. This pest attacks the protected inner shell until it reaches its growing point. The purpose of this study was to determine the effective concentration of the extract of the fruit phaleria and the kaffir lime pell to the mortality and growth C. pavonana. This research has been carried out in Plant Pest Laboratory of Plant Protection Department and Food Analysis Laboratory of Food Technology Department Faculty of Agriculture Unsyiah. The research was started from April 2017 until May 2017. The research used single randomized design method (CRD) consisting of 6 treatments and repeated 4 times to obtain 24 units of experiment. The results showed that the application of the fruit phaleria and the kaffir lime pell extract had an effect on larvae mortality C. pavonana i.e on the treatment of the mixture application of 1 g of the fruit phaleria + 1 g the kaffir lime pell is 50%. The highest percentage of inhibition of eating occurred on the application of a mixture of extract 0.5 g fruit phaleria + 1.5 g  the kaffir lime pell is 74%, while the highest percentage of pupae and imago C. pavonana that occurs occur in each treatment application 2 g extract the fruit phaleria, which is 70%. Thus, the results showed that the application of the extract mixture of the fruit phaleria and the kaffir lime pell is more effective than single application.

Abstract

Crocidolomia binotalis is the main pest on broccoli by feeding the leaves causing damage by 100% (Dono & Rismanto, 2008). This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Plant Pests Department of Agrotechnology Faculty of Agriculture Univerrsity of Syiah Kuala Banda Aceh from January to December 2014. The aim was to investigate the effectiveness of mixture of extract of papaya leaf and castor beans on mortality of C. pavonana mortality. The study used completely randomized design (CRD). The results showed that the mortality of larvae has reached up to 90 % and feeding inhibition  was 91.04%, decrease in the pupae stage 56.67% and imago 46.67% compared to other lower treatments.

Abstract

ABSTRACT. Nutrisi diperlukan oleh serangga untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangannya, sebagai sumber energi, perbaikan jaringan dan reproduksi. Kebutuhan nutrisi serangga pada umumnya berupa :asam amino, protein, air dan  : mineral, vitamin-vitamin, asam nukleat dan nukleotida, sterol, asam lemak dan factor lipogenik. Tujuan praktikum ini adalah untuk mengetahui efisiensi pemanfaatan pakan daun brokoli, daunt alas, daun bawang, daun kangkung dan daun kacang panjang oleh larva S. litura dan C. pavonama. Bahan-bahannya adalah daun brokoli, daun bawang, daun kangkung, daun kacang panjang, dan daun bawang, Larva Spodoptera litura dan Larva C. pavonama. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) terdiri dari 6 perlakuan (jenis pakan) dan 10 ulangan. Hasil percobaan di Analisis Ragam, dan dilanjutkan dengan Uji BNT 5%. Hasil penelitian, nilai LK, dan LKR dan DC tertinggi terdapat pada daun singkong, dan terendah pada daun brokoli. Nilai LP, LPR, ECI dan ECD tertinggi pada daun brokoli, sedangkan nilai LP dan LPR terendah pada daun bawang, dan nilai ECI dan ECD terendah pada daun singkong.

Abstract

The sun is the primary source of energy on the earth, but its light sometimes cause thermal discomfort for humans. The thermal engineering started one in the automotive sector in particular car is to install the air conditioner to lower the temperature of the cabin and use the tranfer window film to block sun light intensity. Testing the proper use of window film to determine the effect of inhibition of the ability to transfer the glass clarity of light intensity on the glass needs to be done to determine what percentage inhibition that has the intensity and the lower the cabin temperature, so the thermal comfort is achieved faster. From the results of the testing were conditioned using Solar ray Collector © PHYWE Systeme GmbH & CO.KG. Inhibition obtained with 40% glass has an intensity of 39% and a temperature of 63.20 C, the glass has an intensity of 60% inhibition of 21% and a temperature of 61.90 C, the glass has an intensity of 80% inhibition of 8% and a temperature of 63.80 C. So the use of glass with 60% inhibition is best to accelerate the thermal comfort is achieved.

Abstract

The potential of entomopathogenic fungus Metarhizium brunneum Petch as biocontrol agent to termite Macrotermes gilvus Hagen has been tested in the laboratory.The purpose of this research is to study the symptomatology and lethal time of the termite M. gilvus fungus after infection by M. brunneum. The density of conidia at 1.21xlO6/mL showed as effective concentration in causing M. gilvus mortality, when compared to 1.08><106conidia/mL, and control. The infection stage of M. brunneum on the host until the death of its host occurred on day 2,and the sporulation of M. brunneum on the surface of the host integument occur on day 4. The entire surface of M. gilvus was covered by the mycelium and conidia of M. brunneum on day 7. Lethal time 50% of termite population of M. gilvus (LT50) was achieved in 5 days(5.14), and LT95 achieved on day 10 (10.03).

Abstract

Effect of the Altitude on the Level of Cocoa Pod Borer (Conopomorpha Cramerella Snellen) Attack in Pidie DistrictABSTRACT. This study aims to look at the effect of altitude on the level of pest infestation C. cramerella, so getting information as a data source control of pests C. cramerella future. This study was conducted in garden cocoa folk in Pidie district, starting from January to March 2015. This study used survey method. Factors examined in this study was the effect of altitude on the level of C. cramerella attack, carried out with purposive sampling method. Altitude is divided into four categories (A = 0-200 m dpl, B = 201-400 m dpl, C = 401-600 m dpl, dan D = 601-800 m dpl). Altitude affects the level of attacks pests C. cramerella, the highest attack at the location A to 76.77%, and attacks decreased in the location D is 31%. PBK altitude affects the population, the highest population found in the location A with an average 328.60 compared to the location D is only 95.80. There is a positive correlation between the temperature with an attack percentage of fruit and pests C. cramerella population, but the humidity showed a negative correlation to the percentage of fruit attacks and pests C. cramerella populations.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui waktu kematian rayap setelah diinfeksi oleh cendawan M. brunneum sebagai biotermitisida di Laboratorium serta untuk mendapatkan konsentrasi yang efektif dari cendawan entomopatogen M. brunneum dalam mengendalikan hama rayap pada tanaman pala. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Hama dan Lamoratorium Penyakit Tumbuhan Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Syiah Kuala mulai dari bulan September 2015 sampai Februari 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) non faktorial yang terdiri atas 6 taraf perlakuan dengan 4 ulangan sehingga terdapat 24 satuan percobaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa mortalitas C. curvignathus tertinggi dijumpai pada aplikasi 1010 konidia/9 ml aquades dan 106 konidia/9 ml aquades yaitu 100% dengan masa inkubasi M. brunneum mulai tampak pada 1,83 hari setelah aplikasi pada perlakuan 1010 konidia/9 ml aquades dan mampu menghambat kemampuan makan rayap hingga 50,77%. Rata-rata waktu kematian C. curvignathus mencapai 100% kurang dari 4 hari setelah aplikasi
