Abstract

This research aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning model of numbered heads together type towards student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. The design of this research was pretest posttest control group design. The population of this research was all students of grade 8th of SMP Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung in academic year of 2013/2014 as many as 200 students that was distributed into eight classes. The samples of this research were students of VIII G and VIII H class who were taken by purposive sampling technique. The research data were obtained by test of mathematical conceptual understanding. Based on analysis of data using t test, it obtained conclusion that cooperative learning model of numbered heads together type affect towards the student’s mathematical conceptual understanding. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered heads together terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa. Desain penelitian ini adalah pretest posttest control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Bandar Lampung tahun pelajaran 2013/2014 sebanyak 200 siswa yang terdistribusi dalam delapan kelas. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII G dan VIII H yang diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Data penelitian diperoleh melalui tes pemahaman konsep matematis. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menggunakan uji t, diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered heads together berpengaruh terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa.Kata kunci: numbered heads together, pemahaman konsep matematis, pembelajaran konvensional
