Abstract

Informatics Engineering Department Petra Christian University do inspection process for judicium manually. This manual process spends considerable time and difficulty in adjusting to the curriculum and regulations. Based on the problems faced by the Department of Informatics, the author develops an application to help speed up and simplify the judicium inspection. This application includes the setting of curriculum, setting fields of study, inspection requirements judicium, determining areas of study graduated students and graduation report. This application was created using ASP.Net programming language and MYSQL as a database. Based on the testing processes, this application has been able to meet the needs of Department of Informatics in the judicium inspection process.

Abstract

This research, compiled an alternative of trouble-shooting in the form of archiving management implementation by using technology Lotus Domino Server version of 8.0.5 and Lotus Notes version of 8.0.5. This archiving management information system is very wide and complex on that account in this research to study problem of observation (auditing) done by Internal Control Identity. This study concerning Information systems to based on the literature. Data collecting based on data any kind of which required to design this information systems. After gathering data, the design an information system and to testing the design. Key Words: management, file system, lotus notes.

Abstract

The existing of database processing is needed by many institutions and companies. Database is not only to get information faster, it is also enlarging their service to customer. For companies, this advantage can increase competency. Because of this reason, many companies using manual processing turn to database. As mentioned above, database reverse engineering process has became a necessity for database developers to understand the structure of any databases. Commonly, this structure is modeled in some notations of Entity Relationships Diagram (ERD). The graphical visualization of database structure in an ERD can use many notations, so it is easy to understand. One of the approaches, which are easy to understand, is Object Role Modeling (ORM) diagram. By reverse engineering the mapping process to relation schema of a database, ERD generation from a data definition language script of Oracle can be done. For more flexibility, this application is constructed web based with Servlets technology that is propertied by JavaTM 2 SDK. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Kehadiran pemrosesan basis data diperlukan oleh berbagai institusi dan perusahaan. Basis data tidak hanya mempercepat pemerolehan informasi, tetapi juga dapat meningkatkan pelayanan kepada pelanggan. Bagi perusahaan, keuntungan seperti ini dapat meningkatkan daya saingnya terhadap perusahaan lain. Hal ini pulalah yang mendorong banyak perusahaan yang menggunakan pemrosesan manual mulai beralih memanfaatkan basis data. Sejalan dengan hal di atas, proses reverse engineering terhadap suatu basis data menjadi suatu kebutuhan bagi perancang basis data untuk mengetahui struktur dari sebuah basis data. Struktur tersebut biasanya dimodelkan dalam bentuk Entity Relationships Diagram (ERD). Penggambaran struktur basis data dalam sebuah ERD dapat menggunakan berbagai notasi agar menjadi lebih mudah dimengerti. Salah satu notasi yang pendekatannya mudah dipahami adalah notasi Object Role Modeling (ORM) diagram. Dengan melakukan pembalikan terhadap proses pemetaan ke skema relasi dari suatu basis data maka pembangkitan ERD dari suatu skrip pembuatan basis data Oracle dapat dilakukan. Agar lebih fleksibel, maka aplikasi yang dibangun berupa aplikasi berbasis web dengan menggunakan teknologi Servlets yang dimiliki oleh JavaTM 2 SDK. Kata kunci: Basis data, Model data konseptual, ERD, Oracle, dan Servlets.

Abstract

There are many theories and approaches that have been developed to find pattern and association rule. One of the methods that have been developed is apriori method. Any method previously finds itemset using graph approaches that have weakness on huge memory usage. The lack of memory will affect many item that able to process. Further, many approaches use internal data structure that very complex and need resource addition to do this computation. In this research, apriori method was used to get association rule that describe relation between items in transactional database. The database that used is three kinds that have different in total transactional. Based on the empirical test, can be concluded that computational time to get asociation rule is influenced by the number of transaction and using "tidlist" data structure in apriori methods can reduce time because only read database one time. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Banyak teori dan pendekatan yang dikembangkan untuk memperoleh hasil penemuan kaidah asosiasi dan pola. Salah satu metode yang dikembangkan yaitu dengan menggunakan metode apriori. Beberapa dari metode sebelumnya melakukan pencarian itemset dengan pendekatan graf asosiasi yang memiliki kelemahan pada penggunaan memori yang besar. Keterbatasan memori jelas akan mempengaruhi banyaknya item yang bisa diproses. Lebih jauh lagi, sebagian besar pendekatan menggunakan struktur data internal sangat rumit yang tidak bersifat lokal dan membutuhkan tambahan sumber daya dan banyak komputasi. Pada riset ini, metode apriori digunakan untuk memperoleh kaidah asosiasi yang menggambarkan hubungan antar item pada database transaksional. Database yang digunakan ada tiga buah yang masing-masing memiliki jumlah transaksi yang berbeda. Dari hasil pengujian empiris dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa waktu komputasi untuk menghasilkan kaidah asosiasi dipengaruhi oleh jumlah transaksi dan Penggunaan struktur data "tidlist" pada algoritma apriori menyebabkan waktu komputasi yang dibutuhkan relatif berkurang karena hanya memerlukan pembacaan basis data sekali saja. Kata kunci: Data Mining, Algoritma Apriori.

Abstract

Bluetooth is a new emerging technology. This technology gives significant changes for electronic devices that we are using. If we look around, a keyboard is connected to a computer. So does a printer, a mouse, a monitor and so on. This condition creates a problem of so many scattered wires installed in the offices, houses and other places. Another problem is how to inspect the damaging or boken wires. In this paper, we will have a discussion on specific applications of bluetooth such as services provided by the bluetooth technology; bluetooth method - how bluetooth devices make connections in a piconet; as well as investigation on bluetooth protocol stack. Bluetooth has succesfully built easy connection among devices from many vendor without using cables, with less power dan money. By using bluetooth, we can build small network or Piconet, consisting of several devices without cables. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Bluetooth adalah suatu teknologi baru yang mulai dikenal dan digunakan. Teknologi ini memberikan perubahan yang signifikan terhadap peralatan elektronik yang kita gunakan. Jika kita melihat sekeliling kita dimana keyboard dihubungkan pada komputer. Demikian juga halnya dengan printer, mouse, monitor dan lain sebagainya. Semua peralatan itu dihubungkan dengan menggunakan kabel. Akibatnya terjadi masalah banyak kabel yang dibutuhkan di kantor, rumah atau tempat-tempat lainnya. Masalah lain yang ditemui adalah bagaimana menelusuri kabel-kabel yang terpasang jika ada suatu kesalahan atau kerusakan. Bluetooth memperbaiki penggunaan teknologi kabel yang cenderung menyulitkan ini dengan cara menghubungkan beberapa peralatan tanpa menggunakan kabel. Pada karya tulis ini, dibahas aplikasi spesifik bluetooth, antara lain servis-servis apa saja yang disediakan oleh teknologi bluetooth; cara kerja bluetooth yaitu bagaimana bluetooth device melakukan koneksi di dalam sebuah piconet serta bluetooth protocol stack. Bluetooth telah berhasil memudahkan koneksi antar beberapa alat dari berbagai vendor tanpa kabel dengan tenaga yang kecil serta biaya yang ringan. Dengan bluetooth dapat dibentuk sebuah jaringan kecil atau Piconet yang terdiri dari beberapa peralatan dan sekali lagi, tanpa memerlukan kabel. Kata kunci: Bluetooth, Bluetooth Protocol Stack, Piconet, Komunikasi data, Nirkabel.

Abstract

All sectors of society including softwere industry, have a big concern about quality, both of product quality and service quality. The need to manage risk, has a strong relation with quality and increases system complexity. Standarization in determining quality, ISO is a must for all software developer. If we study further, ISO 9001:2000 still has some weakness especially for implementation in software product. This paper presents a comparative analysis of quality approaches to risk management. This paper also provide a general overview of all the risks aspects treated in ISO 9001:2000 standards and CMMI model version 1.1. In this research, we obtain a strategy to implement ISO 9001:2000 and CMMI together when we make a planing to increase software process. Besides it produces analysis how to change position from ISO 9001:2000 to CMMI. In the implementation on software industry PT 'X', obtain get various benefits that has never been obtained before. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Semua hal dalam hidup ini selalu memperhatikan masalah kualitas, baik itu berupa kualitas produk ataupun kualitas layanan. Pada industri perangkat lunak, hal ini tidak dibedakan, kebutuhan untuk menghasilkan produk yang berkualitas akan meningkatkan kekompleksan dari sebuah sistem. Standarisasi dalam penentuan kualitas, ISO sudah menjadi keharusan bagi para pengembang perangkat lunak. Apabila diteliti lebih lanjut, ISO 9001:2000 masih mempunyai banyak kekurangan, khususnya untuk diaplikasikan dalam produk perangkat lunak.Pada penelitian ini, akan dibahas analisis perbandingan dengan melakukan pendekatan kualitas untuk meningkatkan proses perangkat lunak dengan melakukan mapping antara ISO 9001:2000 dengan CMMI. Hal-hal yang dibahas berupa aspek-aspek dari standard ISO dan CMMI versi 1.1. Pada penelitian ini, dapat diperoleh strategi untuk menerapkan ISO 9001:2000 dan CMMI secara sinergi ketika merencanakan untuk melakukan peningkatan proses perangkat lunak. Selain itu, dihasilkan juga analisis bagaimana untuk beralih dari ISO 9001:2000 ke CMMI. Dalam penerapannya pada industri perangkat lunak, PT 'X', diperoleh berbagai keuntungan yang sebelumnya tidak didapatkan. Kata kunci: ISO, ISO 9001:2000, capability maturity model integrated.

Abstract

The quality of the data provided is critical to the success of data warehousing initiatives. There is strong evidence that many organisations have significant data quality problems, and that these have substantial social and economic impacts. This paper describes a study which explores modeling of the dynamic parts of the data warehouse. This metamodel enables data warehouse management, design and evolution based on a high level conceptual perspective, which can be linked to the actual structural and physical aspects of the data warehouse architecture. Moreover, this metamodel is capable of modeling complex activities, their interrelationships, the relationship of activities with data sources and execution details.

Abstract

Todays highly developed communications, as well as communication applications such as Social Networking is growing rapidly. Petra Christian University had Student E-Portfolio applications as a communication medium for students, but there are features in theapplication of Student E-Portfolios are less supportive. Therefore, the required application that helps communications students at Petra Christian University. Application are made is the development of existing Student E-Portfolio. Student E-Portfolio application is developed using PHP and MySQL. Development is done by adding the feature wall, discussion forums, friend requests, comment, birthday alerts, and polling. Application of Student E-Portfolios is expected to assist students in communicating.Keywords: portfolio, student, social networking

Abstract

Abstact. With the rapid development of wireless technology, mobile devices applications and services have become more convenient. One area that can be supported by this technology is the field of health, particularly in the dental information system. Processing the patient data is one of the many factors that have an important role in hospital industry. The manual processing of patient data in dental clinic X Yogyakarta, Indonesia is inefficient and ineffective. It cant guarantee the accuracy of the calculation, recapitulations, and reporting system. The rapid development of information technology makes it possible to develop a dental information system, which gives accurate reports on the status of the patients in real time for the purpose of improving patient’s safety and quality of services. In this research, the application is developed with Java programming language and mySQL database. The testing results of the application have shown that the program can be operated easily, has a clear work flow, supports various facilities that help users, and is able to become valuable inputs for dental clinic management in the decision making process. Based on the questionnaire results, 80% respondents reported that the program met the requirements and was easy to use.Keywords: mobile technology, dental information system, registration, report Abstrak.Perkembangan teknologi nirkabel yang sangat pesat telah memicu aplikasi dan layanan seluler menjadi lebih nyaman. Salah satu bidang yang dapat didukung oleh teknologi ini adalah bidang kesehatan, terutama dalam sistem informasi klinik gigi. Pengolahan data pasien merupakan salah satu faktor yang memiliki peran penting dalam pengelolaan industri kesehatan. Saat ini, proses manual pengolahan data pasien di klinik gigi x Yogyakarta tidak efisien dan tidak efektif. Hal ini tidak dapat menjamin keakuratan perhitungan, rekapitulasi, dan sistem pelaporan. Pesatnya perkembangan teknologi informasi memungkinkan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi gigi, yang memberikan laporan yang akurat tentang status pasien secara real time untuk tujuan meningkatkan keselamatan pasien dan mutu layanan. Dalam penelitian ini, aplikasi dikembangkan dengan bahasa pemrograman Java dan database mySQL. Hasil pengujian aplikasi telah menunjukkan bahwa program ini dapat dioperasikan dengan mudah, memiliki alur kerja yang jelas, mendukung berbagai fasilitas yang membantu pengguna, dan mampu menjadi masukan yang berharga untuk manajemen klinik gigi untuk membuat keputusan. Berdasarkan hasil survey, 80% responden berkata bahwa program sudah memenuhi kebutuhan dan mudah untuk digunakan.Kata kunci: teknologi bergerak, sistem informasi dokter gigi, registrasi, laporan

Abstract

Appropriate investment on information technology is needed to obtain the information technology systems that are reliable. University ' X ' has decided to do technology investments by developing academic information systems to support business processes. It is necessary to analyze the advantages and disadvantages of the systems and technology investments, and assess whether the investment has been supporting the organization's business processes . In addition, knowing the economic value of investments/ IT and ROI calculation is crucial . The purpose of the study is to analyze and assess the extent to which the success of information systems investments made ??by the company by using a business domain analysis method on Information Economics (IE). The method used was the literature research, surveys, interviews, questionnaires, documentation studies and methods of analysis. At the end of the study, it has successfully made ??the investment analysis of the University Academic Information Systems, a ROI calculation and IE Score as well as tools for storing project data and calculation results and ROI  Score
