Abstract

Technology improvement the same as periode improvement, especialy mechanical will relevance with several equipment, mechanical contruction etc, from planning, production, assembling arrave operation, maintenance and repairs. In planning process will depand on worked mechanisme but also materials every component spare parts. For it need enough vission about absolute need of materials. Every metal always have mechanisne of charactheristic i.e performance for receive loads of worked, i.e. static or dinamic loads. Static work means permanent loads or domain every time. Dinamic loads means big loads with domains various and depand on time. The research used low carbon steel ST 37 result SMAW with RB 26 SMAW electrode with tensile test, showed it, weld processed very correlation to tensile test result experiment. The best weld correlation to strenght of materials. And the bad weld result correlation with bad weld result.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to fulfill certain tools aids in making cerosine stove components. It hoped this research can force the improvement  of both quantity and quality for the products that are manufactured by domestic industries, espesially the cerosine stove manufacturers. Solution which is choosen for this purpose is by creating a new contruction of simple press tool with excentric system applying human resources as the main generating power.

Abstract

Indonesia adalah Negara yang memiliki intensitas penyinaran matahari yang tinggi. Hal ini dapat dimanfaatkan untuk proses pengeringan produk gambir. Masyarakat Indonesia menghasilkan produk gambir, khususnya didaerah Sumatera Barat. Lebih dari 80% hasil gambir di Indonesia berasal dari daerah ini. Secara umum gambir dapat dihasilkan dalam atau sampai 1,5 tahun tergantung pada tingkat pertumbuhannya. Panen dapat dilakukan pemotongan cabang-cabang (yang bukan lebih tua dan bukan lebih muda) dengan pisau pemotong yang panjang adalah 40-60 cm, dengan harapan kecambah baru harus dapat tumbuh cabang baru. Pemotong dan pemanen harus dilakukan pagi hari jam 8.00 sampai 12.00 WIB. Jika dilakukan pada cuaca atmospir tidak terik akan menghasilkan cabang yang dapat menghasilkan dan kualitas gambir rendah yang dilanjutkan dengan langkah pendidih gambir, penekanan gambir untuk menghasilkan sediment getah gambir, selanjutnya menyaring, mencetak kemudian dikeringkan

Abstract

The agriculture machine system for parer and dissociation of soy nutshell has been studied. Specifications of device are dimensions 125 × 50 × 80 cm, power motor 1 HP with rotation 1400 rpm, equipment of peeler dia=15 cm, 280 rpm and efficiency 32%, angle inclination of peeler blades (15° = 0,7). Variations of angle inclination of peeler blades are 15°,20°,30°, in these researches. Results of research obtained angle inclination of peeler blades 30° is 8,9 kg from sources of soy mutshell 10 kg. Cost analysis for parer and dissociation of soy nutshell is Rp.76/kg.

Abstract

System pengeringan gambir memanfaatkan energi surya telah dipelajari secara eksperimental dalam penelitian ini. Energi durya merupakan sumber energi yang terdapat dialam, dimana tidak bersifat polutif, tidak habis dan gratis serta continue sepanjang hari. Pengeringan bahan gambir merupakan fokus dari permasalahan disini. Salah satu proses gambir adalah pengeringannya setelah dilakukan pemanenan, perebusan dan pemerasan getah gambir. Pengeringan gambir dilakukan dengan menggunakan sebuah alat yang memanfaatkan energi surya. Alat pengering mempunyai kolektor sebagai pengumpul radiaso surya. Suatu absorber dari bahan seng digunakan untuk memindahkan panasnya ke udara yang mengalir didalamnya. Udara bertemperatur tinggi yang dihasilakan kolektor dialirkan ke ruang pengering. Perancangan alat ini memanfaatkan keadaan lingkungan yaitu sebuah rumah yang dirancang sebagai system pengering. Hasil penelitian diperoleh temperatur udara di dalam ruang pengering (T= 60 ºC, Trata= 56.56 ºC) dengan cuaca berawan (tidak cerah). Penggunaan lahan untuk pengeringan dapat dikurangi dengan jalam mengeringkan secara vertical. Hasil distribusi temperatur didalam ruang pengering dapat seragam dan dapat mengeringkan bahan secara bersamaan. Temperatur rata-rata setiap rak cukup merata kecuali pada rak yang paling bawah yaitu secara berturut-turut T1rata-rata= 40.64, T2rata-rata= 39.79, T3rata-rata=39.21, T4rata-rata=36.61, pada kondisi cuaca berawan (tidak cerah & akan hujan).

Abstract

Practical lecturing which effect to persons patience in getting maximal result. In mechanical engineering dapt is given until the sixth (VI) semester and in each semester student will get variative scores depend on their ability in controlling their patience in every asfect to especially in proceses. This research night add the researchers knowledge to get result in presition (smooth and right), it will be of problem solution when student, pratical result in good presition. This research use kuantitative method in where the samples used are variased based on the pressure (0, 2-2, 0) at the edge of tehe harging it to rope with student weight. Intesting proses to get the data, two students whit different wheights and angles is (30º) meanwhile the bacht leg angle is varied from 25 º, 30 º, 35 º, 40 º, 45 º, 50 º, 55 º, 60 º, 65 º, 70 º, 75 º and 75º so that it can be gained of student I and II. Teresult is approading the smooth and the right in gained from angle 30º and back leg angle 65º because on this conditional in giving style is starting to get. The smooth ang right result in proses garned in from leg angle 30º and back led angle 70º and 75º. Because in two position in giving the star is shown.

Abstract

Design of cross flow turbine is a tangible manifestation of creativity and provide appropriate alternatives for communities not reached by the State Electricity Company (PLN). Cross flow turbine design begins with the measurement of water discharge, the length of the carrier channel and the difference in height of water fall. From these measurements can be determined diameter of the turbine runner and shaft. Runners and shaft are made from carbon steel and S40C with the outside runner diameter (Do) 200 mm, the inside runner diameter (Di) 130 mm, 28 of number of blades, runner width (bo) 140 mm, 30 mm diameter shaft, and shaft length (ℓ), 342 mm. Making the runner and the shaft is done by the cutting process using a light cutting, drilling machines and lathes. The principle works to change the water potential energy to kinetic energy into mechanical work energy, rotating the turbine and generator to produce electrical power a small scale.

Abstract

There are many factors influencing the quality of products that are produced from milling machine  process.  The  quality  is  mostly  dealt  with  the  surface  roughness  which  is  not  in accordance   with   specifications   that   are   required.   Those   influencing   factors   are   the selection  of  cutting  patameter  regulation,  for  example,  the  speed  of  milling  process  and cutting,  and  selection  of  the cutting  depth.  Others  factors  are  quality  of  tool  life,  cooling media  and  etc.  The  product  quality  on  surface  roughness  can  gained  by  varying  the regulation  of cutting parameter selection.  The speeds for cutting  are 43  m/min, 55  m/min dan 72 m/min, while the feed rate  are 40 mm/min, 60 mm/min and 85 mm/min. The cooling media to be applied is air, with the ratio of water cooling media is 1:30 and 1:60. The type of  machine  used  is  CNC  Type  CMC  200  and  surface  tester  devices  used  to  measure roughness  of  cutting  process  result.  Of  mesasurement  result,  it  can  be  seen  that  cooling media   influence   the   surface   roughness   very   much.   The   relationship   between   surface roughness   and  cooling  media  is  SRair  =  4.207  v-0.69  f0.45 water  and  cooling  media  is  and SRidemitsu (1:60) = 1995.2 v-1.38 f-0.46.

Abstract

Bunch empy falm (TKS) is dust of fabrics palm oil, need handle seriussely, because of total relatif big and every year increase. This research objective is structures identification and phisic character TKS force analysis and sfecific cut energy and technic evaluation mchine of counter TKS with use meansurenment cutter specement. Structur identifition with eah sample are 15 spcies, weight 1,0 kg – 8,2. Cutting proces used variate edge angle (ANE) 250, 300,350, shear angle (SA) 00, 150, 300, and abligue angle (ANO) 200, 300, 400, Result of strukture identification TKS are 35,80 % bucnh 57,40 % sipkelet, and 6,80 not yet breaking loctly bucnh an center 73,9 % midel 78,8 %, and 17,66 %. Result of measurenment specific force cutting (GPS) and energi cutting (EPS) minimum bucnh 38,51 N/cm2 and 0,3 N/cm2 , on spikelet minimum GPS 135 N/cm2, minimum EPS 0,989 N/cm2, with used ANE 250, ANO 00, and SA 0o.

Abstract

Appliance tuber mill of this cassava dough is an appliance designed for tuber mill / milling parsnip dough for the making of crisply in form of sheet is printed. Appliance tuber mill of this cassava dough it’s for modestly which is its component of him in the form of two pipes which can be spaced by him. Appliance tuber mill of this cassava dough have principle work two turned around pipe manually is contrary of direction of tuber mill late dough in the middle and shaped the form of sheet. Thick of dough can be arranged as according to requirement by turning around thick regulator. Benefit of making of this device is to water down work of maker of previous crisply wear wood as tuber mill of dough as well as to increase produce crisply. Because appliance pemipih of this cassava dough is moved amanually.
