Abstract

One of the Acehnese traditional food  preserved by the addition of salt, acid and dried was sie balu. The preservation method may lead to changes in the structure and nutritional content. Sie balu with the addition of vinegar, garlic and ginger can reduce the value of water activity (aW), pH and bacterial counts. This condition affects the physical properties and sensory of sie balu. Irradiation can control pathogenic microorganisms in meat without affecting the physical condition. Low-dose irradiation is able to maintain the desired sensory attributes nutritious food products. This study aims to determine the characteristics of the sensory and physic sie baluthat irradiated with increasing doses and the shelf life of 3-6 weeks. Sie balu was made of 10 kg fresh beef, dried in the sun to dry, vacuum and irradiated at doses of 5, 7 and 9 kGy. Sensory test conducted by taste sie balu by trained panelists and fill out the hedonicform. The physical properties based on pH and aW. The microbe total calculated used Total Plate Count.The results showed that the irradiation dose significantly (P <0.05) affected on microbe total, aroma, color, texture and taste of sie balu. Storage time does not affect the sensory properties. Irradiation dose and storage time significantly (P <0.05) on pH and aWsiebalu. The study concluded that irradiation can improve the physical properties, sensory and microorganisme reductionof sie balu.

Abstract

Scientific attitude is an approach to investigations that benefits from certain traits namely; curiosity or inquisitiveness, objectivity, open-mindedness, perseverance, humility, ability to accept failure, and skepticism. Scientific attitude is one of benchmarks for the success of science learning process especially the level of understanding of the concept of physics. This study aims to analyse the students’ scientific attitude on learning heat and temperature with Cooperative Inquiry Labs (CIL) model at SMAN 6 Banda Aceh. This is a quasi experimental research with the class subject of X-MIA1 as a control class and X-MIA2 as an experimental class. Data collection technique used was by giving a questionnaire containing seven kinds of scientific attitude indicators to each student. The questionnaire in this study used a Likert scale with four categories of responses. Data tabulation was done by testing the average difference of two independent samples, indicated that tcount (10.94) &gt; ttable (2.01) at the significant level of 5%, which means that there are significant differences in outcomes between the experimental and control classes. The results of questionnaire analysis showed that in the control class, there were four scientific attitude indicators which had high category, and the three other indicators were in medium category, whereas in the experimental class, there were five indicators with high category and two indicators with medium category. Based on the data of the analysis result of t test showed the scientific attitude of the students in both classes were tcount = 2.09 which was bigger than ttable = 2.01, and because of the significance of &lt;0.05, it can be said that there was a significant difference after the learning process with CIL model.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase kelayakan media poster yang dikembangkan, dan persepsi peserta didik terhadap media poster pada materi struktur atom. Metode penelitian menggunakan research & development yang dikembangkan menggunakan model ADDIE yaitu analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Penelitian dilakukan di SMAN 12 Banda Aceh dengan sampel penelitian dipilih secara acak (simple random sampling) yang dianggap homogen, dan kelas terpilih untuk sampel adalah kelas X IPA2. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa lembar penilaian validitas media oleh para ahli, dan angket persepsi peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media poster telah memenuhi kriteria baik. Penilaian kualitas media poster oleh para ahli diperoleh persentase kelayakan sebesar 82,53% dengan kategori sangat layak, dan persepsi peserta didik secara keseluruhan memberikan respon positif terhadap media poster yang dikembangkan dengan nilai rata-rata persentase jawaban yang diperoleh 46,09% atas jawaban setuju. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media poster yang  dikembangkan sudah layak diterapkan pada peserta didik di SMA/MA.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik pada materi kalor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode quasi experimental, dengan desain jenis pretest-posttest control group design. Subyek penelitian diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas X-IA3 dan kelas X-IA5 di SMA Negeri 11 Banda Aceh. Data penelitian ini dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda. Data dianalisis menggunakan program Microsoft Excel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik dengan pretes 70, posttes 100 dan n-gain 90,17. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa model problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep peserta didik.

Abstract

 Tujuan dari kajian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dengan penerapan PBL melalui school watching pada materi asam basa kelas VII SMP PKPU Aceh Besar. kajian ini menggunakan metode quasi exsperiment dengan randomized pretest-posttest group desain. Data dikumpulkan dengan tes tulis dan observasi. Berdasarkan hasil kajian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menerapkan PBL melalui school watching  dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen dari 31 menjadi 77, sedangkan pada kelas kontrol yaitu 29 menjadi 70. Hasil dari observasi aktivitas belajar pada siswa kelas eksperimen dengan pembelajaran PBL melalui school watching yaitu 89% dengan kategori sangat baik, sedangkan aktivitas belajar pada siswa kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional yaitu 79% yang dikategorikan baik.

Abstract

Citra medis yang akan diolah pada penelitian ini adalah citra yang diambil menggunakan teknologi Computed Tomography Scan (CT Scan) pada organ paru-paru. Untuk memperjelas hasil citra yang dihasilkan dari pemeriksaan CT-Scan dalam mengidentifikasi seberapa besar suatu tumor atau kanker adalah dengan proses pengolahan citra. Pengolahan citra yang dilakukan dengan metode deteksi tepi yang berfungsi memberikan informasi mengenai garis batas atau tepi pada objek citra. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti memilih Metode Canny, dimana deteksi tepi citra yang baik adalah deteksi tepi dengan garis yang tidak terlalu tebal, tidak terputus dan memiliki sedikit noise. Tujuan pada penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan kualitas tepi citra serta mengidentifikasikan perubahan tepi citra dari variasi nilai tepi kuat dan lemah pada algoritma Canny serta membandingkan hasil deteksi tepi dengan menggunakan filter konvolusi. Teknik deteksi tepi menggunakan Algoritma Canny pada software MATLAB R2010. Data yang diolah adalah hasil citra ct scan pasien RSUDZA yang mengalami kelainan pada organ paru-paru dengan melakukan tahapan proses dari deteksi tepi. Setelah itu citra paru diimplementasikan pada deteksi tepi berbasis algoritma canny. Hasil dari pengujiannya didapatkanlah nilai yang jelas untuk nilai penajaman garis tepi yaitu pada nilai tepi kuat pada citra paru dengan menvariasikan nilai tepi, yaitu untuk nilai tepi kuatnya 0.150 dan tepi lemahnya 0.10 dimana deteksi tepi yang dihasilkan lebih bersih dan lebih jelas untuk garis tepi yang kasar juga halusnya sedangkan yang menggunakan filter konvolusi garis tepi hanya terbentuk garis yang kasar saja. The image will be processed at the medical research is the image taken using Computed Tomography Scan (CT Scan) of the organs of the lungs. To clarify the results of image resulting from the examination of CT-Scan in identifying how big a tumor or cancer is by the process of image processing. Image processing is done by the method of detection of edge that serves to provide information about the boundary lines or edges on the object's image. In this study the researchers chose a method of Canny edge detection, where a good image is the detection of edge with a line that is not too thick, not cut off and have a little bit of noise. The purpose of this research is: improve the quality of the edges of the image as well as identify any changes to the edges of the image of the variation of the value of strong and weak banks to the algorithm and Canny edge detection compare the results by using the filter konvolusion. Edge detection technique using Canny's algorithm in software MATLAB R2010. Data that is processed is the patient's ct scan image of RSUDZA who experience abnormalities in the lungs organs by performing the stages of the process of detection of edge. After that the image of the lung-based edge detection is implemented on the canny algorithm. Abstract

The method of CT dosimetry based on the CTDI is a common measurement method by using a single, axial rotation about a pencil chamber in a stationary phantom. For some time now there has been a growing awareness that radiation dose originating from medical diagnostic procedures in radiology, is contributing an increasing proportion to the total population dose, with a large component coming from CT examinations. This is accompanied by rapid developments in CT technology, including the use of increasingly wide X ray scanning beams, which are presenting problems in dosimetry that currently cannot be adequately addressed by existing standards. When preparing any dosimetric assessment of a CT scanner it is essential to have a good knowledge of the production of X rays and the characteristics of the CT scanner. Factors that influence the X ray beam intensity and photon spectrum are the tube voltage, the anode material, and anode angle, the filtration of the X ray tube, and the tube current. The properties of the radiation field for CT dose considerations can be characterized by free in air measurements of air kerma (absorbed dose in air). Measurements in standard cylindrical phantoms yield dosimetric quantities such as CTDI that can be considered as a patient dose index, and are also useful for quality assurance purposes, however they should not be interpreted as patient dose.

Abstract

 Penelitian tentang stepwedge berbahan kayu lokal sebagai phantom yang dipapar oleh pesawat sinar-X telah dilakukan. Tiga jenis kayu digunakan yakni Seumantok (shorea macroptera), Meranti Merah (shorea leprosula Miq) dan Medang Kuning (dehaasia cuneata). Uji sifat fisis kayu berupa kadar air dan kerapatan telah dilakukan terhadap ketiga jenis kayu tersebut. Kadar air terendah terdapat pada kayu Seumantok (10,1%), sementara kadar tertinggi pada kayu Meranti Merah (12,3%). Kerapatan tertinggi didapatkan oleh kayu Meranti Merah (0,9 g.cm­-3) dan terendah pada kayu Medang Kuning (0,6 g.cm­-3). Standar Aluminium stepwedge digunakan sebagai salah satu referensi pengujian. Paparan pesawat sinar X terhadap stepwedge tersebut dilakukan pada dua rumah sakit besar di kota Banda Aceh dengan perbedaan arus dan tegangan untuk memperoleh hasil citra yang tajam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk tegangan dan arus yang berbeda akan menghasilkan hasil citra yang berbeda pula pada dua buah rumah sakit tersebut. Untuk stepwedge berbahan kayu citra terbaik dihasilkan pada tegangan rendah.Research on stepwedges made of local woods as a phantom that will be exposed to X-ray machine has been done. The woods are Seumantok (shorea macroptera), Meranti Merah (shorea leprosula Miq) and Medang Kuning (dehaasia cuneata). The physical properties of wood in the form of water content and density has been measured. The lowest water content belong to Seumantok (10,1%), while the highest one is Meranti Merah (12,3%). The highest density obtaine by Meranti Merah (0,9 g.cm¬3) and the lowest for Medang Kuning (0,6 g.cm¬3). Standard Aluminum stepwedge is used as a reference. X-ray exposure to the stepwedge was performed at two large hospitals in the Banda Aceh city with variation of currents and voltages to obtain a good image. The results showed that for different voltages and currents will produce different image whitin two hospitals. Abstract

In the service industry, customer perception of the corporate brand is often based on the employee they interact with. Employer branding can be beneficial to attract and retain employees, as doing so can distinguish the company from competitors. Employer branding may also make the employee live with the brand, called brand citizenship behavior. Using data collected from employees of a largest telecommunication company in Indonesia, the present study explores the relationship between employer branding and brand citizenship behavior, with brand-person fit and brand commitment as possible mediators. Data was collected by online questionnaire and processed using Amos. Results show employer branding influences brand citizenship behavior either directly or indirectly through brand commitment, but not through brand-person fit.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran generatif terhadap peningkatan KPS siswa kelas X SMA Negeri I Kuala. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen semu dengan populasi seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri I Kuala yang sampelnya dipilih secara purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur peningkatan KPS siswa adalah tes berbentuk pilihan ganda yang berjumlah 15 soal. Berdasarkan hasil persentase rata-rata N-gain siswa kelas eksperimen dan kontrol yaitu 36 dan 57. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata N-Gain kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi dari kontrol. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran generatif dapat meningkatan KPS siswa dibandingkan dengan menggunakan motede konvensional pada materi pemuaiaan di kelas X SMA Negeri I Kuala.
