Abstract

A study was conducted in 7 location represent to sulfuric-acid, peat or arable land in order to define productivity of several promoting lines of swamp-rice. Foerteen lines with two control varieties were tested in each location. The lines were grown in two different NPK-fertilization, i.e. low and high dosage of NPK. Yhe study was objected to define the genotype-environment or non-specific environment. The result show that the tested-lines adapted to the specific environment, but not to non-specific environment.

Abstract

Testing of soybean genotypes were conducted at six locations of tidal swampland; in dry season of 1999/2000. Eight genotypes and two checks varieties i.e. Wilis and Slamet were evaluated for their yield potential. The experiment was using Randomized Completely Block Design with four replications. The result showed that yield of two genotypes, MSC 9/12-D-4 and MSC 9243-D-3, were higher and relatively stable compared to Wilis and Slamet.   Key words Soybean, Tidal swampland

Abstract

The Growth and Yield of Groundnut Genotypes on Swampy Areas. One of the causes of low groundnut yield on swampy areas in South Kalimantan is the presence of environmental stress. The use of varieties adaptable to environmental stress is one of the efforts to increase groundnut yield in swampy areas. The objective of this research was to find out the effect of environmental grip levels on the growth and yield of ten groundnut genotypes on swampy areas. This research was conducted at 3 locations on swampy areas of South Kalimantan, i.e. at Tambangan Village of Daha Selatan Sub-district-Kandangan, Panggang Marak Village of Labuhan Amas Selatan-Barabai and Setiap-Pandawan-Barabai Village, during the dry season of 2004. This research was arranged in Randomized Complete Design with three replications. Seven groundnut genotypes and 3 control varieties i.e. Jerapah, Singa and Lokal were tested for their adaptability on those three swampy areas differing in the environmental stress levels. The results show that groundnuts are adequately adaptable to environmental stress especially soil acidity on swampy areas. Three lines i.e. GH-5, GH-8 and GH-11 yielded more than that of control variety Jerapah, had better seed quality and more adaptive on swampy areas. Key words: Environmental stress, swampy areas, groundnut Salah satu penyebab rendahnya hasil kacang tanah di lahan lebak Kalimantan Selatan adalah adanya cekaman lingkungan. Penggunaan varietas adaptif terhadap cekaman lingkungan merupakan salah satu upaya untuk meningkatkan hasil kacang tanah di lahan lebak. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh perbedaan tingkat cekaman lingkungan terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil 10 galur kacang tanah di lahan lebak. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan di lahan lebak dangkal di Desa Tambangan-Kecamatan Daha Selatan­Kandangan, di desa Panggang Marak-Kecamatan Labuhan Amas Selatan-Barabai dan di desa Setiap-Kecamatan Pandawan-Barabai pada MK 2004. Rancangan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok dengan tiga ulangan. Tujuh galur kacang tanah dan tiga varietas cek yaitu varietas Jerapah, Singa dan Lokal, diuji daya adaptasinya pada 3 lokasi lahan lebak yang berbeda tingkat cekaman lingkungannya. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa kacang tanah cukup adaptif terhadap cekaman lingkungan terutama cekaman kemasaman tanah di lahan lebak. Terdapat tiga galur yaitu GH-5, GH-8 dan GH-11 memiliki daya hasil lebih tinggi daripada varietas cek Jerapah, memiliki mutu biji baik dan adaptif di lahan lebak. Abstract

Assessment of Soil Manure Applied on Two Varieties Soybean in Acid Sulphate Soils. One factor that cause low productivity of soybean in acid sulphate soils of tidal swamp land is the high acidity of such soils. Effort that could be taken to increase soybean productivity in tidal swamp land are the use of adaptive varieties and soil amelioration. The main objective of this assessment is to determine the effect of soil amelioration, especially the use of soil manure, on soybean yield and the economics feasibility of its application. An experiment have been conducted on acid sulphate soils of tidal swamp land at Bungai Jaya village, Basarang subdistrict, Kapuas district of Central Kalimantan province in rainy season of 2003/2004. The experiment was arranged in a split plot design with four replication. The main plot treatments were two adaptive varieties of soybean, i.e. Lawit and Menyapa; while the subplot treatments were three rates of soil manure application, i.e. 0, 3 t/ha and 6 t/ha. The result of the experiment indicated that application of soil manure up to 3 t/ha increase the yield; whilst further increase of soil manure application rate did not significantly increase soybean yield. The recommended technology, i.e., the use soil manure 3 t/ha, lime 2 t/ha and the Lawit variety give net income to farmer Rp.2.325.000,-, R/C=1,69, and MBCR=3.0. Key words: Soybean, acid sulphate soils, soil manure Salah satu sebab rendahnya produktivitas kedelai di lahan pasang surut adalah tingginya tingkat kemasaman tanah. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan produktivitas kedelai di lahan pasang surut adalah dengan ameliorasi lahan dan penggunaan varietas adaptif. Tujuan utama pengkajian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian bahan amelioran, khususnya pupuk kandang, terhadap hasil kedelai dan kelayakan penerapannya secara ekonomis. Percobaan telah dilaksanakan di lahan pasang surut bertanah sulfat masam di desa Bungai Jaya, kecamatan Basarang, kabupaten Kapuas, Kalimantan Tengah pada MH 2003/2004. Rancangan petak terbagi dengan 4 ulangan digunakan untuk menata perlakuan. Sebagai perlakuan petak utama adalah dua varietas kedelai yang adaptif di lahan sulfat masam yaitu Lawit dan Menyapa; sedangkan sebagai perlakuan anak petak adalah dosis pupuk kandang, yaitu 0,3t/ha dan 6 t/ha. Hasil percobaan ini menunjukan bahwa pemberian pupuk kandang sebesar 3 t/ha meningkatkan hasil kedelai, meskipun penambahan pupuk kandang menjadi 6 t/ha tidak lagi meningkatkan hasil kedelai. Teknologi yang direkomendasikan yaitu peggunaan pupuk kandang 3 t/ha dan kapur 2 t/ha serta varietas Lawit, memberikan pendapatan bersih Rp.2.325.000,-, R/C=1,69, dan MBCR=3,0.Kata kunci: Kedelai, lahan sulfat masam, pupuk kandang

Abstract

The assessment was designed to help farmers to cultivate their land optimally. This assessment on integratedrice-soybean/vegetables-livestock farming system in tidal swamp land with B-C type flooding was the on-goingproject conducted in Bungai Jaya Village, Basarang District, Kapuas Regency covering an area of 13 hectaresmanaged by 20 cooperating farmers. Aims of the assessment were: (i) to conduct characterization of the region,farmers, and farming systems, (ii) to analyze farming system performance, (iii) to analyze farm business income, (iv)to study income structure of integrated farming system, and (v) to analyze adoption of introduced technology.Assessment approach was based on farm research by comparing farmers using introduced technology and those whodid not. B-C type tidal swamp land was suitable for integrated farming system applying surjan (sunk an d risen beds)system with a cropping pattern of rice - secondary crops on wet season and soybean – vegetables on dry season, andlivestock on home yards. Introduced technology was able to improve farming system performance and to increasefarmers’ incomes of Rp 9,873,500 on the dry season and Rp 8,887,000 on the wet season or higher than those of noncooperatingfarmers. Average R/C ratios of all crops grown were more than 2.5 implying that the technology wasfeasible to disseminate.Key words : integrated farming system, tidal swamp land, technology adoption, rice, soybeanDalam rangka mendukung program pembangunan pertanian di Kabupaten Kapuas yaitu programpengembangan kawasan pertanian terpadu melalui pemberdayaan lahan dan petani serta menumbuhkan pasar rakyatuntuk meningkatkan pendapatan petani, maka perlu dilakukan suatu pengkajian yang dapat membantu petani dalammengelola lahannya sehingga sesuai dengan potensi lahan yang ada dan sumberdaya yang tersedia. Pengkajianusahatani terpadu padi-kedelai/sayuran-ternak di lahan pasang surut tipe luapan B-C merupakan kegiatan lanjutan,yang dilaksanakan di Desa Bungai Jaya, Kecamatan Basarang Kabupaten Kapuas, dengan luas areal 13 ha danmelibatkan 20 orang petani koperator. Tujuan pengkajian adalah (1) melakukan karakterisasi wilayah, petani dansistem usahatani, (2) melakukan analisis terhadap kinerja teknologi usahatani, (3) melakukan analisis usahatani, (4)mempelajari struktur pendapatan usahatani terpadu, dan (5) melakukan analisis adopsi teknologi introduksi.Pendekatan pengkajian dilakukan secara on-farm research, dengan metode perbandingan berpasangan (pairlycomparison) yaitu membandingkan model usahatani introduksi dengan model usahatani ditingkat petani. Hasilpengkajian menunjukkan bahwa sesuai dengan karakteristik lahan dan petaninya, lahan pasang surut tipe B-Csebaiknya diusahakan secara terpadu dengan sistem surjan dengan pola tanam padi-palawija pada MH dan kedelaisayuranpada MK serta ternak di pekarangan. Secara fisik input teknologi yang diintroduksikan, dapat meningkatkankinerja usahatani dan memberikan tambahan pendapatan sebesar Rp 9.873.500 pada MK dan Rp 8.887.000 pada MH,lebih besar dari pendapatan petani nonkoperator. Abstract

Multi location test of seven inbreds and variety have been conducted at tidal swampland area in Kapuasregency during wet season 1998 and 1999, such as in sulfit acid (unit Tatas and Basarang) and potential area (HandilGabin and Lamunti A-2). The purpose of this research are (1) to provide adaptive rice varieties, specifically at tidalswamp land and likely for farmers, (2) to provide seed rice that high quality and specific of location. Using RCBDwith seven treatment that are varieties and inbred, with three replication. The result of multilocation test that showntwo inbreds expectancies i.e KAL-9420 d-Bj-276-3 and KAL-9414 d-Bj-63-1 as adaptive in tidal swampland, withmean productivity 3,8 and 3,6 t/ha yield. Farmers very like this with this varieties because have characteristic whichare small shape of yield and clean of yield.Key words: pure lines, wetland, Oryza sativa, Central KalimantanUji multi lokasi tujuh galur harapan dan varietas padi telah dilaksanakan di lahan pasang surut KabupatenKapuas pada musim hujan 1998 dan musim hujan 1999. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di dua tipologi lahan yaitu lahan sulfatmasam (di unit Tatas dan Basarang), dan lahan potensial (di Handil Gabin dan Lamunti A-2). Tujuan dari kegiatan iniadalah: (1) mendapatkan galur dan varietas padi yang adaptif, spesifik lahan pasang surut dan disukai petani; (2)menyediakan benih padi yang bermutu dan spesifik lokasi. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalahrancangan petak terbagi dengan 7 (tujuh) perlakuan yaitu varietas dan galur padi dan tiga ulangan. Hasil pengujianmenunjukkan terdapat dua galur harapan yaitu KAL-9420 d-Bj-276-3 dan KAL-9414 d-Bj-63-1 yang diminati petanikarena sangat sesuai dengan selera petani yang umumnya Masyarakat Banjar dan Dayak, yaitu bentuk gabah ramping,rasa nasi pera, dan warnanya bersih serta adaptif di lahan pasang surut Kabupaten Kapuas, dengan rata-rata produksi3,8 t/ha dan 3,6 t/ha gabah kering giling.Kata kunci : galur harapan, lahan pasang surut, padi, Kalimantan Tengah

Abstract

Hiyung is a local variety of cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens) that traditionally grown continuously at swampland of Tapin District, South Kalimantan Province. This cayenne pepper has high productivity and good market prospect and could contribute to increase national cayenne production. Another advantage of this cayenne pepper variety is enabling farmers to use some of the harvested seeds for the next planting season. The experiment has been conducted to characterize the agronomics and nutrition contents of Hiyung cayenne pepper from March to October 2013 at two different agroecosystems, i.e. dry land and swampland, and to compare it with three commercial varieties, i.e. Sonar, Bara, and Santika. The result of the experiment showed that Hiyung cayenne pepper, both at dry land and swampland, has the highest dry weight than the three other varieties. It also had the lowest fruit length, peel thickness, fruit weight, and weight of 1,000 fruits compare to the three other varieties. However, it had the highest productivity, which might be due to its longest harvest period.
