Abstract

Pemahaman konsep IPA siswa SD menjadi tonggak penguasaan konsep IPA pada jenjang pendidikan selanjutnya. Ketercapaian pemahaman konsep siswa dapat dilakukan melalui pembelajaran konflik kognitif dengan alat evaluasi two-tier test. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis keefektifan pembelajaran konflik kognitif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA pada siswa SD. Jenis penelitian menggunakan true experimental dengan pretest-posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD N Srondol Wetan 02, Semarang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan melalui pembelajaran konflik kognitif mencapai ketuntasan klasikal 90%, rata-rata pemahaman konsep dan peningkatan pemahaman konsep lebih baik daripada pembelajaran ekspositori, dan kualitas pembelajaran dalam kategori sangat baik. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran konflik kognitif efektif untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep IPA pada siswa SD. Saran penelitian ini yaitu : 1) memperhitungkan alokasi waktu pembelajaran dengan cermat, 2) guru memperhatikan konsepsi awal siswa, dan 3) two-tier test tidak hanya terbatas pada konsep sifat-sifat cahaya.

PENGEMBANGAN INSTRUMEN PENILAIAN AUTENTIK KURIKULUM 2013 BERBASIS LITERASI SAINS PADA MATERI BIOTEKNOLOGI

Abstract

Kurikulum 2013 mempersyaratkan penggunaan penilaian autentik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan karakteristik dan menentukan kepraktisan instrumen, serta menjelaskan profil kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik materi bioteknologi. Jenis penelitian adalah research and development. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas subjek yang berperan sebagai validator terhadap hasil pengembangan/produk yaitu dosen dan guru, serta subjek pemakai produk yaitu peserta didik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) karakteristik instrumen penilaian autentik berdasarkan empat aspek literasi, yaitu sains sebagai batang tubuh pengetahuan, cara bepikir, cara menyelidiki, dan interaksi sains, teknologi, dan masyarakat dinyatakan valid dan reliabel dengan koefisien reliabilitas 0,99; (2) kepraktisan instrumen penilaian autentik menunjukkan kriteria respons peserta didik sangat baik (94,69%), respons guru baik (75%); (3) Profil kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik menunjukkan, sains sebagai cara menyelidiki 8,68%; cara berpikir 26,12%; interaksi antara sains, teknologi, dan masyarakat 35,07%; dan sebagai batang tubuh pengetahuan 67,58%. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah instrumen penilaian autentik berbasis literasi sains materi bioteknologi yang meliputi empat aspek literasi sains, tergolong kategori sangat layak digunakan dengan reliabiitas sangat tinggi. Instrumen penilaian mudah digunakan, tidak memberikan beban tambahan bagi guru dan peserta didik. Profil kemampuan literasi sains peserta didik materi bioteknologi menunjukkan hasil yang kurang baik dengan penguasaan terendah pada aspek sains sebagai cara untuk menyelidiki.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan instrumen asesmen untuk mengukur kemampuan literasi sains siswa. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan desain 3D (Define, Design dan Develop). Langkah yang dikembangkan meliputi perancangan, validasi ahli, ujicoba terbatas dan ujicoba luas. Instrumen yang dikembangkan adalah instrumen pilihan ganda dan disertai alasan (two tier assessment). Hasil validitas instrumen asesmen pilihan ganda adalah valid, nilai reliabilitas saat uji coba terbatas adalah 0,865 dan saat uji coba luas adalah 0,887. Nilai tersebut menunjukkan instrumen adalah reliabel. Profil kemampuan literasi sains siswa berada pada kategori rendah. Kemampuan literasi sains siswa tertinggi pada aspek a body of knowledge dan terendah pada aspek interaksi sains, teknologi, dan masyarakat.

Abstract

Pembelajaran IPA sebagai subsistem pendidikan nasional memberi kontribusi penting dalam pembentukan karakter peserta didik. Karakter sebagai hasil dari pendidikan membawa arti penting dalam kehidupan yang sesungguhnya di masyarakat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik perangkat pembelajaran, keefektifan perangkat pembelajaran, dan kepraktisan perangkat pembelajaran IPA bervisi SETS dengan metode outdoor learning. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development). Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran dengan mengembangkan silabus, rencana pelaksanaan pembelajaran, bahan ajar, LKS, LKPD dan alat evaluasi, divalidasikan untuk selanjutnya direvisi dan diimplemantasikan. Uji coba, dilakukan untuk mengamati aktivitas belajar, penanaman karakter, dan pengerjaan soal tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase siswa yang tuntas dengan KKM ≥ 75 mencapai 94%. Hasil uji  N-gain = 0,41 (kategori sedang). Skor aktivitas peserta didik kategori sangat tinggi. Skor karakter peduli lingkungan 3,14, kerjasama 3,08 dan disiplin 3,16 kategori Mulai Berkembang (MB). Skor akhir aktivitas guru sebesar 4,1 kategori tinggi. Skor respons guru 3,27 sangat tinggi. Skor respons peserta didik adalah 16 kategori sangat tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA bervisi SETS metode Outdoor Learning efektif untuk diterapkan di sekolah dasar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran IPA bervisi SETS metode Outdoor Learning terbukti efektif mampu memperbaiki kualitas pembelajaran.Learning science as a subsystem of national education contributing hearts important character formation Learners. Character as the findings from Education carries important meaning in the hearts of life society. Singer study aims to analyze the characteristics of the review devices learning, learning tool effectiveness, practicality and vision science learning tool SETS with outdoor learning method. The singer is a research development research. Development learning tool with develop syllabi, lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, activity sheets learners and evaluation tools, validated for review then revised and implemented. The trial, conducted observation activities learning, planting character, and solving test. The results showed thst students fg The complete minimum completeness criteria ≥ 75 reached 94%. The test results of N-gain = 0.41 (medium category). scores activities students very high category. Character score 3.14 environmental care, cooperation and discipline 3,16 3,08 start emerging category. Final score activities teacher of 4.1 high category. Score 3.27 very high teacher's response. Learners feedback score is 16 very high category. Based on the findings of research can be concluded that the science envisions SETS Learning tool effective learning methods open for review applied in primary school. Research results show that the method envisions SETS learning science learning open effective proven ability to improve learning quality.

Keefektifan Simulasi dalam Pembelajaran Kewirausahaan Bagi Anak Usia Dini

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan simulasi dalam pembelajaran kewirausahaan bagi anak usia dini. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah penelitian eksperimen dengan desain eksperimen quasi-experimental design tipe nonequivalent control group design. Keefektifan simulasi dilihat dari hasil belajar anak meliputi aspek kognitif, afektif dan psikomotorik. Instrumen pengumpulan data aspek kognitif berupa lembar soal kewirausahaan anak usia dini dan data aspek afektif-psikomotorik berupa lembar observasi jiwa kewirausahaan anak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa simulasi kewirausahaan berupa serangkaian kegiatan bermain peran sesuai tiga bagian proses ekonomi (mikroekonomi) yaitu produksi, distribusi dan konsumsi terbukti efektif dalam pembelajaran kewirausahaan bagi anak usia dini. Keefektifan simulasi terbukti dari hasil uji Two Related Samples Wilcoxon dan uji Mann Whitney U-Test serta dikuatkan oleh hasil uji Gain Ternormalisasi dan analisis penilaian berbasis perkembangan yang menunjukkan hasil belajar anak kelompok eksperimen lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelompok kontrol. Saran, materi kewirausahaan dapat digali lebih lanjut selain dari pendekatan mikroekonomi.This study is aimed for understanding of simulation effectivity in entrepreneurship education for pre-school children. The conducted research is quasi-experimental design with nonequivalent control group design type. Simulation effectivity is observed from student’s study report, including cognitive, affective, and psychomotoric aspecs. Instrumen used for cognitive data observation is pre-school student entrepreneurship test sheet, and for affective-psychomotoric data is using student’s entrepreneurship spirit test sheet. Result of this research is showing entrepreneurship simulation in form of serial of economy three parts process (microeconomy) role playing game, which are production, distribution, and consumption, is proven to be effective in entrepreneurship learning for pre-school students. Simulation’s effectiveness is verified using Two Related Samples Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney U-Test, which also reinforced by Normalized Gain test and Development based Assessment Analysis. Those tests resulting in increased performance of experimental student group compared to students in control group. For suggestion, entrepreneurship learning material can be further being studied aside from microeconomy approach.

The Effectiveness of Karisma Instructional Model in Fostering The Characters and Increasing Students’ Learning Outcomes of 4th Gradeelementary School Students

Abstract

Educational problems require an innovative learning system and research to solve the problems. Research with learning model is line of way to improve the quality of education. The objectives of the research are to describe the way of implementing Karisma learning model, to know the difference of character improvement and learning outcomes, and to know the problems that occurred when implementing the Karisma learning model in Elementary School. Type of research which was used in the research was experiment, while the data analysis technique which was used was two way variant (two way anava) The result of research of the significance of students’ character improvement for factor of student attitude learning model is 0,026 <0,05, or Ftable = 3,027 and Fcount = 3,683. Students’ learning outcomes generally improved with the average of SD LB score 88, SD MR score 74. SD SM scores 82, and SD DD score 78. The results of study by using Karisma learning modelare better, that is 83.29, compared with conventional model which is only scored 74.76. Response data shows that students feel active and do discussion with score of 83.2%. Based on the data analys, schools that implement the Karisma learning model have more positive impact when it is implemented.

Analysis of Science Literacy Learning with Scientific Inquiry Approach in Increasing Science Competence of Students

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of learning, to analyze the effectiveness of learning, students' competency science profile, and teacher and student responses toward science literacy learning with scientific inquiry approach. The research method used is Mix Method with concurrent embedded model of quantitative method become primary with research subjects are science teachers and students of class VII SMPN 1 Lilirilau and MTs DDI Pattojo Soppeng Regency, South Celebes Province. The results shows that (1) the implementation of learning is very good with 86% the average percentage of implementation. (2) The effectiveness of learning is shown on student's learning completeness classically that is 90% of students reach KKM value. These results have reached the established criteria of 75%. The average increase in students' science competence is 0.69 in the medium category. The students' competency profile based on PISA criteria appears dominant in the explanation of scientific phenomena, whereas based on the criteria of science literacy dominant in science as the body of knowledge. (4) The teacher's response toward scientific literacy learning was positive with an average score of 3.83, and (5) students' responses toward scientific literacy learning are quite positive with an average score of 3.22 out of a maximum score of 4.00.

Eclips Props to Probe Motivation of Visual Impairment Students in Learning Science

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to describe the Special Needs School (SNS) students’ learning motivation improvement by using props. The research design used is one group pretest-posttest design. Data collecting techniques used are questionnaires and interview. The research subjects were four students with visual impairment in SNS ABC Swadaya Kendal. Two students suffer from low vision and two others suffer from total blindness. The data analysis used is percentage descriptive. This research was conducted for three meetings. The learning model used was inquiry model with eclipse as the material. The result of students’ motivation improvement was up to 25 %. The motivation of SNS students can be improved with the help of eclipse props especially in science lesson.

The Analysis of Student Science Literacy in Terms of Interpersonal Intelligence

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the profile of interpersonal intelligence and science literacy through the application of Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model conducted in MI Miftahul Ulum 01, MI Roudlotut Tholibin, and MI Salafiyah in Kudus. This research uses mixed method with concurrent embedded research design. Technique of collecting data using pretest Literasi of Science with 10 item of description and posttest of Literasi of Science with 13 item of description and questionnaire of interpersonal intelligence. Data analysis techniques were normality test, homogeneity test, N-gain and t-test. The result of data analysis shows that there are differences in the increase of Science Literacy results from high, medium and low interpersonal intelligence ie 0.382; 0,341; and 0.192. Based on the research data, the application of Two Stay Two Stray cooperative learning model assisted by visual media can help improve the students' science literacy. The benefits of this research is to contribute thoughts to the effort to improve Literacy Science through the application of cooperative learning model Two Stay Two Stray assisted visual media in terms of interpersonal intelligence.

Development of Evaluation Tool Based on Science Literacy on Topics of Water Recycling

Abstract

The aims of this research were to develop evaluation instrument based on science literacy which was appropriate to be applied, comprehend and easily to be learnt by the students, and functional to identify the capability of scientific literacy among students. The research methods used ADDIE design (Analysis, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate). The subjects of the research was the fifth degree students in Gisikdrono 02 Primary School Semarang. Validity test results indicated that the instrument has been valid. The reliability test result gained 0.83 with excelent criteria. The characteristics of evaluation instruments which had developed indicate that the instrument had a proportion of difficulty level in number of 20% easy questions, 55% about moderate, and 25% difficult questions. The results of the differentiation power analysis then combined with the level of difficulty and obtained 30 question items with good quality that can be used. The scientific literacy capability profile tested by the developed instrument showed that the mastery of science literacy in moderate criteria.
