Abstract

Innovation is needed in learning to make meaningful learning, so the student constructs their ownknowledge from the learning experience of learning process. One of the innovations is to integrate Problem Based Learning model. Problem Based Learning involves students to be active in every problem. Eleven problems type in Problem Based Learning that have different solving steps, due to every student different metacognition character potential and can change by given treatment. This research is a pre-experimental design: the pretest-posttest control and experimental group design with embedded experimental design. The metacognition character data were analyzed qualitaively, whereas the average grade data were analyzed quantitatively. The analysis of metacognition character shows the different metacognition characters and on learning process there is improvement of student achievement from 14% to 84.4%.

Abstract

Most of the eleventh-grade students of SMAN 3 Jambi City find difficulties in understanding the concepts of Coordination Systems in Biology subject. This study aims to create a learning tools in the form of students? worksheets based on problem-based learning-flipped classroom. This study employs ADDIE Model. Validations were undertaken by learning design, material, and product design experts.  Where as, best practice validation was done by a Biology teacher teaching in SMAN 3 Jambi City. Research subject was students of SMAN 3 consisting of 3 students for individual trial and 9 students for small group trial. Data from validation results were described qualitatively. The design stage produces a worksheet prototype based on problem-based learning-flipped classroom. The development stage produces a new version of student worksheet that has been positively responded by the research participants. In implementation stage, the worksheet has been considered very good by students. In evaluation stage, the study has produced a sudent worksheet that accommodates students needs to improve their ability in transforming knowledge. Based all stages of the ADDIE, it can be concluded that the produced student worksheet is interesting, easy to use and easy to understand. It helps students to learn coordination systems more effectively. The created student worksheet can be further developped into an e-student worksheet.

Abstract

The purpose of this developmental research was to develop a scientific approach based science worksheet on the dynamic electrical material topic for ninth-grade junior high school students. The worksheet were developed based on scientific approach. The stages include:  observing, asking questions, gathering information, processing information, and communicating. The development model used is the 4-D Model consists of 4 stages: define,  design, develop, and desimanate. The results of the validation, a small and large group trials indicated that the used of the scientific approach based science worksheet was appropriate for use. Thus, the developed worksheets can be used in the process of learning for Junior high school science students. Keywords : Worksheet , Scientific approach

Abstract

This development research is conducted at SMKN 3 Jambi, the purpose is to develop contextual based chemistry learning material for Xth grade Technological Vocational High School (SMK) with content and contex representative enough for SMKN 3 students. The model used in this research development is the type 1 development mode from Richey by adopting the development model of Dick & Carey. This development research is conducted in four important steps, they are analysis, design, development, and evaluation. The data are collected using openended questionaire. The subjects are students from class X TPM1, X TKR2, and X TKR3. These samples are taken randomly but remain to represent each student ability level, high, medium and very low. The research result shows the positif respond towards the developed  product. Based on the  collected and analyzed data, it can be concluded that the developed product is interesting, simple and easy to understand, can increase student?s positif characters such as interest, participation, responsibility, and relate to student selected skill.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to develop a class xi chemistry instructional medium the topic of acid-base titration with the orientation of improving the students skill of scientific process in the laboratory. The research is a developmental research and the model used is ADDIE, which stand for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate. Having been validated by some assessors and teachers, the medium developed proves adequate and can be implemented among class xi high school students. The result of the reaserch show that the student respon well to the implementation of the medium. The medium can be  used by student with various capabilities : however, among weak students  teacher?s guidance is needed.

Abstract

Digital Encyclopedia of Electrical Technology Development has 5 goals, namely the development of the recommended procedure, determine the development requirements, the recommended procedure to use, knowing the terms of use that can improve the success of the use of, and determine the impact of the use of Digital Encyclopedia of Electrical Technology-Based Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL ) that can provide contextual knowledge to the students about electricity as a source of learning physics junior level. Development model adopted in this study ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) and 5 apply the constructivism learning component CTL, find, ask, modeling, and reflection. Product trials carried out in two phases, namely a small test group and large group trials. Small group trial to assess the practicalities, applicability, and ease. Large group trial to assess the practicalities and impact of the use.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop an instrument measuring spatial intelligence in form of mathematic game for class VII as an alternative instrument between conventional test. Research type is Development Research and using ADDIE Development Model which stands for Analyze (Analysis), Design (Design), Develop (Development), Implement (Implementation) and Evaluate (evaluation). Based on validator assessment, a developing instrument was feasible to be tested on field. Field test result show that instrument can measure student?s spatial ability as conventional test did. This instrument can be used for students with computer-use ability especially using keyboard and mouse and need further research to make a better instrument in different form from conventional instrument.

Abstract

The research was intended to develop a simple practical guide and pieces of science process skills and scientific attitude of students assessment. Development model used was ADDIE, which stands for Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The model used in the lab module was problem based learning, which students were given problems before practicum began. Subjects of trials in this study consisted of six students were grouped into three categories of cognitive abilities, smart students, middle students and weak students. Results of product trials indicated that all students responded positively to the lab module. Modules can be applied to students with diverse cognitive abilities, the weak cognitive students could need teacher guidance, especially in the matter of analysis to understand.
