Abstract

Abstrak Pendidikan karakter melalui sekolah, tidak semata-mata pemberian pengetahuan, tetapi  penanaman moral, nilai-nilai etika, estetika, budi pekerti yang luhur. Salah satu budaya yang berkembang di masyarakat dan sangat dekat dengan peserta didik adalah permainan (rakyat).  Biasanya permainan rakyat menggunakan alat-alat yang masih sederhana yang mudah diperoleh dan ada di sekitar masyarakat setempat. Hal ini sangat sesuai dengan pendidikan matematika realistik Indonesia yang menggagaskan bahwa pembelajaran matematika harus merupakan ‘realitas’ yang dekat dengan peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis pemikiran matematika dan kandungan nilai karakter pada permainan congkak yang dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian inidimulai dengan mengamati permainan congkak secara teliti yang dimainkan oleh peserta didik sekolah SD 018 Teluk Kenidai Kabupaten Kampar. Hasil pengamatan dijadikan dasar untuk melakukan analisis pemikiran matematika dan kandungan nilai karakter dalam permainan congkak. Hasil analisis menunjukan permainan congkak dapat digunakan untuk pengembangan karakter dalam pembelajaran matematika realistik untuk topik aritmatika di kelas 2,3 dan 4 sekolah dasar. Kata Kunci: permainan congkak, pendidikan karakter bangsa, pembelajaran matematika realistic Abstract Character education through school, not merely the provision of knowledge, but the cultivation of moral, ethical values​​, aesthetic, noble manners. One culture that developed in the community and very close to the students is the game (the people). Usually folk games using the tools that are simple, easy to obtain and there around the local community. This is in accordance with Indonesia realistic mathematics education which put forward the learning of mathematics that should be a ´reality´ which is close to the learner. This study aims to analyze the mathematical thinking and gynecology conceited character values ​​in a game that can be used in teaching mathematics. Research inidimulai by observing carefully cavalier game played by 018 elementary school students Kenidai Bay Kampar regency. Observations used as the basis for mathematical thinking, and content analysis of the value of the character in the game cocky. The results of the analysis showed cavalier game can be used for the development of realistic characters in learning mathematics to arithmetic topics in class 2,3 and 4 elementary schools. Abstract

Abstract: This research is a class action research that aims to improve the learning process and to increase mathematics achievement from the students with applied discovery learning model. The subject of this research is the students of class XI MIA 1 MAN 1 Pekanbaru at the first semester in academic year 2018/2019, which total of participants are 31 students, consists of 11 male students and 20 female students with heterogeneous ability. This research has two cycles. Each cycle has four meetings and one test. The instruments used in this research were learning instruments and the instruments of collecting data. The learning instruments used include syllabus, lesson plan, and student work sheets, while the instruments of collecting data were observation sheets and learning outcome test. The data analysis of students and teacher activity showed that the learning process has improved after the discovery learning model being implemented. The data of the student’s evaluation test showed that the persentage of students reached the Minimum Mastery Criteria (MMC) increase from the basic score to first test, from first test to second test. The results of this research showed an increasing of students achievement where the basic score 29,0% to the first test 48,4%, the second test 74,2%. For the skills achievement score of the first test 71,0%, the second test 90,3%. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that the implementation of discovery learning model can improve learning process and increase student’s mathematics achievement at class XI MIA 1 MAN 1 Pekanbaru.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on the low students’math achievement of students in class VIII5 SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru. Based on daily test for Algebra lesson there are 18 of 40 students (45%) who achieved the Minimum Mastery Criteria is 75. The type of this research is classroom action research and the purpose of this research is to improve the learning process and increase students’math achievement by implementing cooperative learning model of type Think Pair Square. The subject of this research were students in class VIII5 SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru at the first semester of academic year 2015/2016. Students in this research are 40 people, there are 20 boys and 20 girls. The instruments of data collection in this research were observation sheets and mathematics achivement tests. The observation sheets were analyzed in narrative descriptive and mathematics achivement tests were analyzed in descriptive statistic. Based on analyzed showed that are : (1) the improvement of learning process after the implementation cooperative learning model of type Think Pair Square in mathematics in class VIII5 SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru by analyzed observation sheets; (2) increase the students’ math achievement with the percentage of students achieve Minimum Mastery Criteria in first cycle is 55% and in second cycle is 70%. The conclusion of this research is the implementation of cooperative learning model type Think Pair Square can improve the learning process and improve students’ math achievement at class VIII5 SMP Negeri 25 Pekanbaru of first semester of academic year for Relation and Function lesson.Key Word : Students’ math Achievement, Cooperative Learning Model type of Think Pair Square, Classroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstrak The weakness of mathematics ability of students can be observed from material mastery of students. The student’s error on solving the problem is one of the clues to find out the material mastery of students. Therefore, that errors need to be identified to find the influence factors to get the solution. This study was implemented on Junior High School in Tampan Sub district which involve 3 schools, such as SMP 8, SMP 20, SMP 21 and the students of class IX. The purpose of this study were (1) Observing the kind of errors which were done by students on solving similarity problem (2) Observing the factors which caused the student’s error on solving similarity problem. Based on the data analysis, interview and investigation, it can be concluded that students had concept error, procedure error and carelessness error. The factors which caused the student’s error were lacking of effort on solving problems, lacking of mastery on the material, less of carefulness on solving problems, lacking of mastery on the prerequisite material and the students did not understand the steps on solving problem. Abstract

Gender mainstreaming being the big issues lately included in Indonesia. To improve the gender equality access for education Indonesian government been launching the schools program name “ Sekolah Berwawasan Gender”.  The aim of this study is to explore the schools’ achievement on that government program in The Province of Riau. Giving orientation program, schools were required to design and implement their specific program. Schools also get funded to accelerate their program. The assessment were done based on 10 standard on indicator of the program implementation. Data were collected through questionnaire and direct observation to the schools. This paper discuss finding based on the 10 standard that grouped into schools level and region of the schools. It was found that the highest achievement is reached for standard 3 (85%) that deal with learning outcome, the lowest achievement is given to the standard 5  (56%) about schools’ facilities. This finding will be used as recommendation for the schools and government to improve their program design and implementation of gender equality program.

Abstract

This article is based on the limited lecture model for Kapita Selekta Mathematics (KSM) courses.  This article aims to reveal the results of technology validation of the website of the mathematics proficiency course (KSM) on UIN Suska Riau students. This article uses a development research model that uses Sugiyono's research steps but only limited to two stages, namely design stage and product validation stage. The validated aspect of the learning website is graphic feasibility and program feasibility with indicators: 1) the size of the learning website, 2) the design of the learning website, and 3) the design of the content of the learning website. The validation instrument is a questionnaire using Likert scale that is filled by three expert technology experts. Assessment of the validity of the learning web on the aspect of feasibility of the graphics resulted in a total validity value of 3.9 with valid categories. As for the web learning on the feasibility aspect of the program to produce the value of validity as a whole that is 4 with valid categories

Abstract

Abstract: This research aimed to develop mathematics with computer-based learning media model tutorial interactive model for SMA grade XI subject probability. This research and development use development model ADDIE. Development is done through the following steps: (1) analysis; (2) design; (3) development; (4) implementation and evaluation. At the stage of analysis, the researcher conducted a needs analysis included Core Competence (CC) - Basic Competence (BC) analysis, problems of students analysis, and materials analysis. Then, researcher collect materials to design learning media. Learning media that had been developed validated by five validators and revised based on the input from validators. Validation of media appraise aspects of curiculum, learning, display, program. The valid learning media then tested in two stages, the small group test with subjects are five students of class XI MIPA SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru and large group test with subjects are 30 students of class XI MIPA SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru. Based on the data analysis and discussion can be concluded that the mathematics learning media based computer tutorial interactive model for SMA grade XI subject probability are valid, and obtain good responses from students class XI.Keywords: Computer-based Learning Media, Research and Development, Probability

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this study is the lack of ICT-based learning media especially on geometry in the topic of circle. The topic of circle has potency to be developed visually by using a computer device to facilitate students to understand this topic. This study used Borg and Gall’s model that was modified by Sugiyono. The aim of this study is to develop valid and practical ICT-based media for learning mathematics to facilitate the 8th grade junior high school students to understand the topic of circle. The subjects were 35 students at 8th grade Junior High School 20 Pekanbaru. The instruments used were a questionnaire sheet for content validation, media validation and student responses. The questionnaires sheets were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The analyzed data and discussion showed that ICT-based media for learning mathematics is valid with an average score of 3.16 by content validator and 2.85 by media validator. This media is also qualified and practical with an average of student responses was 0.98 on a small group test and 0.93 in the big group.Key Word : Instructional Media, ICT-based Media, Learning Mathematics.

Abstract

Abstract: The background of this research is the low students’ mathematics test result that is below the minimum criteria of mastery learning (KKM) which percentase 32% on Algebra. This research is a classroom action research which aims to improve the learning process activity and the students’ achievements by applying the cooperative learning STAD method. The subjects of this research was the first semester of VIIIA grade students of SMP Islam Kepenuhan which consist of 10 male and 15 female students. The teacher and students’ activity observation sheets and mathematics test sheets were the instruments used in this research. The observation sheets was analyzed qualitatively to see the improvement of the learning process activity. The mathematics test results were analyzed quantitatively. To see the improvement of the mathematics learning achievement. Based on the analysis, there was improvement in the learning process activity from the beginning of the first cycle until the end of the second cycle. Furthermore, the analysis of the mathematics test results showed the increasing of the number of students who achieve the Standard Criteria Minimum with percentage 40% in the first test and 56% in the second test respectively. That there is improvement of the students’ basic score from the first test to the second test. In conclusion, the application of STAD method can improve the students’ learning process activity and the students’ mathematics test results in the first semester VIIIA grade students of SMP Islam Kepenuhan in academic year 2017/2018.Key Word: Students Math Achievement, Cooperative Learning, Student Team Achievement Division Types, Clasroom Action Research.

Abstract

Abstract : Computer based media for learning mathematics on quadrilateralsand triangles topics is using worksheet. Worksheet is using by student for write solution,so that student work can be seen by teacher. The topics of quadrilaterals and triangleshas potency to be developed vissually by using a computer device to fasilitate studentsto understand this topics. The research model used is a research and developmentmodel adapted according to Borg and Gall. The aim of this research is to develop validand practical computer based media for learning mathematics using worksheet onquadrilaterals and triangles for seventh grade. The subjects were 23 students at 7thgrade Junior High School Metta Maitreya Pekanbaru. The instruments used were amaterial validation sheet, media validation sheet, and student response questionnaire.The analyzed data and disccusion showed that computer based media for learningmathematics using worksheet is valid with an average score of 3,50 by materialvalidator and 3,99 by media validator. This media is also qualified and practical withan average of student responses was 3,52.KeyWords: Computer based media, worksheet, quadrilaterals and tringales
