Abstract

The purpose of this study was (1) to describe the existence of hydrocarbon material difference between the mastery of concepts Cooperative Learning with NHT type and TPS type MAN Pringsewu students and (2) the average mastery of concepts which higher hydrocarbons between Cooperative Learning with NHT type and TPS type. The population in this study were all students of class X MAN Pringsewu academic year 2011/2012. Samples were taken using purposive sampling technique. Retrieved class X. 2 as a class experiment I conducted NHT cooperative learning model type, and class X. 4 as a class II experiments conducted cooperative learning model TPS type. The research design using a design-Only Matching Posttest-Only Control Group Design. Analysis of data using normality test, homogeneity of the two variances, and differences in the two trials showed average. The results showed (1) There is a difference between students mastery of concepts Hydrocarbons who received NHT and Cooperative Learning TPS type. (2) Average Hydrocarbon between student mastery of concepts that use Cooperative Learning TPS type higher than students who use learning NHT type. Abstract

The aimed of research was to describe the increase of communicating skills and mastery of concept on acid-base material on Learning Cycle 5E model.  Quasi experimental method was used in this research, with Non-Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Group Design.  The population of this research was students of XI science SMAN 1 Kotaagung, Tanggamus, with XI science 1 class and XI science 2 class as samples.  The increase of communicating skills and mastery of concept measured base on the difference of a significant normalized gain (n-Gain).  The results show that mean value of n-Gain communicating skills in experimental class and control class ware 0.81 and 0.71;  and mean value of n-Gain mastery of concept in experimental class and control class ware 0.68 and 0.45.  Based on hypotesis testing used t-test, it was conclude that Learning Cycle 5E model could increase communicating skills and mastery of concept.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan keterampilan mengkomunikasi-kan dan penguasaan konsep pada materi asam-basa melalui model Learning Cycle 5E.  Pe-nelitian ini menggunakan metode kuasi eksperimen dengan Non-Equivalent (Pretest-Posttest) Control Group Design.  Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 1 Kotaagung, Tanggamus dengan kelas XI IPA1 dan kelas XI IPA2 sebagai sampel.  Peningkat-an keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan penguasaan konsep diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai rerata n-Gain keterampilan mengkomunikasikan untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,81 dan 0,71; serta re-rata n-Gain penguasaan konsep untuk kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol yaitu 0,68 dan 0,45.  Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t, didapat kesimpulan bahwa model Learning Cycle 5E dapat meningkatkan keterampilan mengkomunikasikan dan penguasaan konsep.Kata kunci:  keterampilan mengkomunikasikan, model pembelajaran Learning Cycle 5E, penguasaan konsep.

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the  skills grouping and inference on any material oxidation-reduction with a model of the problem solving, for a group of high of medium and low.  The subjects were students of class X4 SMAN 4 Kotabumi. This research used the pre-experimental method, a one-shot case study design, and analysis of data statistics descriptive. An research results of analysis learning matter oxidation-reduction with model of the problem solving show that high skill grouping obtained a group of 50%  were excellent, 50% were good; to a group being 20% were excellent, 53% were good, and 27% were enough; in the group of low 11% were excellent, 11% were good, 45% were enough and 33% were less.  In skill inference obtained a group of high 83% were excellent, 17% were good; to a group being, 20% were excellent, 47% were good, and 33% were enough; in the group of low, 33% were good, 45% were enough, and 22% were less. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan keterampilan mengelompokkan dan inferensi pada materi oksidasi-reduksi dengan model pembelajaran problem solving untuk kelompok siswa kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah.  Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X4  SMAN 4 Kotabumi.  Penelitian ini menggu­na­kan metode pre-eksperimen, desain one shot case study, dan analisis data statistik deskrip­tif.  Hasil penelitian analisis pembelajaran materi oksidasi-reduksi dengan model pembelajaran problem solving menun­juk­kan bahwa keterampilan mengelompokkan diperoleh kelompok tinggi 50% berkriteria sangat baik, 50% baik; ke­lom­pok sedang 20% sangat baik, 53% baik dan 27% cukup; kelompok rendah 11% sangat baik, 11% baik, 45% cukup, dan 33% kurang.  Pada keterampilan inferensi diperoleh kelom­pok tinggi 83% berkriteria sangat baik, 17% baik; kelompok sedang 20% sangat baik, 47% baik, dan 33% cukup; kelompok rendah 33% baik, 45% cukup, dan 22% kurang. Kata kunci: problem solving, kelompok kognitif, keterampilan mengelompokkan, keterampilan inferensi, oksidasi-reduksi

Abstract

This research purpose is to develop student worksheet with scientific approach on solubility and constant solubility product material. The research methods used Research and Development methods.  From the teacher assessment and students response over student worksheet that has been developed, it is obtained the percentage of teacher assesment on the aspects of suitability of content, readability, and attractiveness are 90,90%; 92%; and 87,14%. The results of students responses to the readability and attractiveness are also very high, with the percentage until 87,87% and 86,42%.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan LKS dengan pendekatan scientific pada materi kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan. Dari hasil penilaian guru dan tanggapan siswa terhadap LKS yang dikembangkan, diperoleh persentase penilaian guru terhadap aspek kesesuaian isi, keterbacaan, dan kemenarikan sebesar 90,90%; 92%; dan 87,14%. Hasil tanggapan siswa terhadap keterbacaan dan kemenarikanjuga sangat tinggi yaitu dengan persentase 87,87% dan 86,42%.Kata kunci: kelarutan dan hasil kali kelarutan, LKS, pendekatan scientific

Abstract

The study aims to describe (1) the existence of the average difference between the value of mastery of concepts hydrocarbon type STAD cooperative learning model along with problem posing strategies with conventional learning, (2) the average value of mastery of concepts which higher hydrocarbons between cooperative learning model types STAD with problem posing strategies with conventional learning. The population in this study were all students of class X SMAN 13 Bandar Lampung academic year 2011/2012. Sampling was done by purposive sampling. The samples in this study were 30 students of class X1 as a class experiment 1 and 30 X7-class students as a class experiment 2. The study design used was The Matching-Only Posttest-Only Control Group Design. The results showed that (1) there is a difference between the students mastery of concepts Hydrocarbon type STAD cooperative learning strategies with problem posing and conventional learning and (2) the average students mastery of concepts Hydrocarbons using STAD cooperative learning model type with problem posing strategy is higher than the average student mastery of concepts in hydrocarbon material using conventional learning.Keywords: type STAD cooperative learning strategies with problem posing, conventional learning, mastery of concepts

Abstract

The aim of this research was to describe the effectivity of problem solving learning to increase students’ originality thinking ability on the reactions rate of chemistry subject. This research used Non Equivalent Control Group Design and the sample was choosen using purposive sampling. Population of the research, was tenth grade student’s of SMA Negeri 1 Gedong Tataan at first semester in the 2013/2014 year and the sample were, XI science 1 and XI science 3. The effectivity of problem solving learning was analyzed based on the differences of significant n-Gain between experiment and control classes.  The results showed that the average n-Gain score in experimental and control were 0,67 and 0,38.  Based on hyphothesis testing (t-test), it can be concluded that problem solving learning is effective to increase students’ originality thinking ability on the reactions rate of chemistry subject.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan efektivitas model pembelajaran problem solving dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir orisinil siswa pada materi laju reaksi.  Metode penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan Non Equivalent Control Group Design. Sampel penelitian dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 1 Gedong Tataan semester ganjil Tahun Pelajaran 2013/2014 dan sampel penelitian adalah kelas XI IPA1 dan XI IPA3. Efektivitas pembelajaran problem solving diukur berdasarkan perbedaan n-Gain yang signifikan antara kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata n-Gain kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir orisinil pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0,67 dan 0,38. Berdasarkan pengujian hipotesis (uji-t), diketahui bahwa model pembelajaran problem solving efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir orisinil siswa pada materi laju reaksi.Kata kunci: kemampuan berpikir orisinil, laju reaksi, model problem solving

Abstract

This study aims to develop the student worksheet based on chemical representation of buffer solution material, to describe the responses of teachers and students responses to the worksheet based on the chemical representation of buffer solution material. This study uses the Research and Development. Based on the teacher responses, the student  worksheet that is developed obtained data about aspects of the suitability of the content is 85.00%,  aspects of legibility is 84.00%,  aspects of attractiveness is 81.53%, while based on students responses obtained data on aspects of legibility is 87.46 % and the aspect of the attractiveness is 85.13%. Results of teacher and students response states that thestudentworksheetwhich is developed has a very high quality.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutan penyangga, mendeskripsikan tanggapan guru dan tanggapan siswa terhadap LKS berbasis representasi kimia pada materi larutan penyangga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian dan Pengembangan.  Berdasarkan tanggapan guru, LKS yang dikembangkan diperoleh data tentang aspek  kesesuaian isi sebesar 85,00%, aspek  keterbacaan sebesar 84,00% dan aspek kemenarikan sebesar 81,53% , sedangkan tanggapan siswa diperoleh data tentang aspek keterbacaan sebesar 87,46% dan aspek kemenarikan sebesar 85,13%.  Hasil dari tanggapan guru dan siswa menyatakan bahwa LKS yang dikembangkan memiliki kualitas sangat tinggi.  Kata kunci: larutan penyangga, lembar kerja siswa, representasi kimia

Abstract

The objectives of this research are to describe effectiveness of Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model in redox reaction in improving symbolic language skill and to describe effectiveness of NHT learning model in redox reaction material in improving concept mastery.  Population in this research was all Grade X students in State Senior High School 1 Buay Bahuga in academic year 2011/2012. Samples were classroom X2 as experiment classroom and classroom X1 as control classroom. Samples were selected using purposive sampling. This reserach used quasi experiment menthod with Non Equivalent (Prestest and Posttest) Control Group Design). The effectiveness of NHT learning model was measured based on significant n-gain differences of symbolic language skill and concept mastery between NHT learning classroom and conventional learning classroom. The results showed that the average of n-gain of symbolic language skill for experiment and control clasrooms were 0.26 and 0.18 respectively, and the average n-gain of concept mastery for experiment and control classrooms were 0.29 and 0.23 respectively.  Based on hypothesis test, classroom with NHT learning model had higher symbolic language skill and concept mastery than classroom with conventional learning. This indicated that NHT learning was effective in improving symbolic language skill and concept mastery of redox reaction.Keywords: Numbered Head Together (NHT) Learning Model, symbolic language skill and concept mastery

Abstract

This research aimed to describe the abilities of answering questions of what your main point and why on the colloid subject using problem solving models for high, intermediate and low level cognitive group of students. The subjects were students of class XI IPA5 SMA Negeri 1 Natar Academic Year 2012/2013. This research used the pre-experimental method, one-shot case studydesign, and descriptive research. The results showed that the ability answering question of what your main point in high level group, 60% were excellent, and 40% were good; intermediate level group, 15% were excellent, 40% were good, and 45% were enough; low level group, 10% were good, 60% enough, and 30% were less.  The ability answering question of why in high level group, 60% were excellent, and 40% were good; intermediate level group, 15% were excellent, 45% were good, and 40% were enough; low level group, 40% were good, and 60% were enough.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan menjawab pertanyaan apa alasan utama anda dan mengapa pada materi koloid menggunakan model pembelajaran problem solving untuk siswa kelompok kognitif tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Abstract

The aim of this research was to determine effectiveness of guided inquiry learning model in salt hydrolysis material in improving the skills in giving a simple explanation and implementing acceptable concept. Samples were 32 students in classroom XI science three as experiment and 31 students in classroom XI science four as control that have equal academic abilities. This was a quasi experiment research using non equivalent control group design.  Data analysis used a t-test of the n-Gain significant. The results showed that average value of n-Gain of skills in giving a simple explanation in experiment and control classrooms were 0.44 and 0.12 respectively; and average value of n-Gain for implementing acceptable concepts in experiment and control classrooms were 0.42 and 0.20 respectively with tcount (2.23) > ttable (1.67). The conclusion is that the guided inquiry learning model in salt hydrolysis was effective in improving skills in giving simple explanations and implementing acceptable concepts by students.Keywords: guided inquiry, meteri salt hydrolysis ,giving a simple explanation and apply the concept of acceptable.
